King Street Photo Weddings

and how gorgeous the photos are. I will definitely have him do more photos in the future! Thank you to his beautiful Wife, Linzie Davis, the owner of Lordis Loft Salon & Spa downtown Charleston for doing my makeup, I looked phenomenal for my engagement photos. Thank you so much to the Lordis Team! Michel, you did an amazing job, everything was perfect on my special day thanks to you!!!! ;-)

to the big day. We got to practice! Michel is easy to work with and flexible to the clients’ needs. Communication was easy and timely. As a couple that is not accustomed to being photographed professionally, we appreciated guidance on how to pose, where to look, etc. By the time of the big day itself, the timeline he would work from was written and shared with everyone, and everything happened exactly as planned, which helped us relax a little and know nothing would be forgotten because Michel adheres to his timeline, which is based on his own experience and knowledge of local venues. All added value that you can’t deny. It was a magical day and we have the images to prove it!

nd are so glad that we hired Michel to photograph the wedding! Him and his wife Linzie are an incredible wedding duo!!!

make our special day unforgettable and man did you ever deliver! We truly had the time of our lives! You were incredibly kind, funny, caring and just overall amazing from start to finish! You and my daughter immediately hit it off and the work you were able to get done with her was seriously remarkable! She loved you and is still talking about how nice you were and how much fun she had! I very strongly recommend you to anybody looking for a photographer because as amazing a photographer you are..you’re an even better person! We seriously cannot thank you enough! God bless you and we wish you nothing but the best! Best regards, G..Ashley & Taylor! 🙏🏼❤️

ivered! It was pitch black outside, and we lit up next to the fountain thanks to him. He helped us through our photos before the ceremony, and then together after helped us create different shots. The first look with my Dad was so well planned out, he truly is a master at his craft. Highly recommend Michel if you want the best!

os. I would highly recommend him.

o our needs at the time and worked well with our schedules. If you are in need of a photographer in this area, I would highly recommend King Street Photo. Michel is such a hard working, but he is also so fun to work with. He made everything so enjoyable, and our pictures turned out so beautiful!

than Michel. Since receiving our pictures. Sarah and I as well as family and friends have looked over them a million times and have relived every moment of that night. Not only did Michel bring our special day to life again through his photography he seemed to genuinely care about Sarah and I. He took the time to learn about us as people and as a couple. I couldn’t have asked for a better photographer and I cannot say it enough.... Thank you Michel

d talented. We can't wait to have him photograph our big day next year!

hen I got into Graduate School out in Colorado, we had to make some adjustments and get things done in person early. Michel was so flexible and willing to do our engagement shoot early on, so we planned for the week before we moved. On the day of our shoot, the weather radar was not looking great but Michel patiently and graciously agreed to do our shoot rain or shine since we were moving West soon; as long as we were happy! Luckily, it ended up being a beautiful day and he captured amazing sunset photos, my favorite. They are absolutely beautiful photos that we will cherish forever!

u will quickly realize that his intensity actually is just a disguise for his passion. He cares so much about making sure that the magic of your wedding day is captured and that you are supremely happy with the results. He was attentive and passionate about the planning of the shoot months prior to our wedding weekend and was easy to talk to during the planning process. Michel and his staff were punctual, polite and professional. It seemed as though he was prepared to go to war when the day came. Every time we turned around he was there seizing special moments that will be ours for a lifetime. Michel is truly an expert in every sense of the word. He is great at orchestrating and directing all those in front of his lens while setting backgrounds that are breathtaking. If we could give him 10 stars we would. If you are looking for someone to realize your vision with a style unrivaled by anything you’d find in a fairy tale….do yourself a favor and call on Michel. We can’t express enough how much we enjoyed working with such a consummate professional and artist.

eston in October and there were over 70 weddings the weekend of my proposal). No other photographer could make it happen on such short notice, but Michel did! If you need someone to make magic happen in Charleston, Michel is your guy! Thanks again Michel for all of your help and coordination with my proposal! I will be forever grateful!

ism and experience was apparent from our first meeting and was demonstrated throughout the entire wedding day. Michel was fantastic with our guests as well as our wedding party. He really cared about getting the best photos and capturing just the right moments. I was taken back when we received our photos. They were breathtaking. Thank you for providing a great experience and catching the memories from our special day.

he windy weather conditions. Our pictures turned out beautiful! Thank you, Michel!!!!

great experience. The value for money was phenomenal, and we loved Michel’s professionalism and artistic approach to wedding photography. We got great photos, both during the day and at night despite less than ideal lighting conditions, and Michel’s expert technique is to thank for that. We also really appreciated Michel’s high volume of photos taken, as well as the large amount of photos that were given to us. Michel took care to get photos of each family (which was a big task coming from two people coming from divorced and remarried families lol). He arrived very early and stayed late despite a two and a half hour drive. Overall, we highly recommend.

ot we wanted and had great suggestions of his own. He even went out of his way to pick up rose petals for our group so I didn't have to stress out about finding them. He was friendly and make everyone feel comfortable on the wedding day. Our pictures came out absolutely amazing!!!! Even better than we could have hoped for. We're so happy we decided to go with Michel.

to the shoot. We texted often, and he made it seamless. Michel also takes his work seriously. And the results really do speak for themselves. He is very talented, and has an excellent product. What is more, though, Michel is a pleasure to work with. I worked very hard for the proposal to be special, and he exceeded expectation in making it happen. He made it such a special day for my fiancé and me. I truly cannot give Michel a good enough recommendation. I am so thankful it was him that shared such a special moment with us.

Michel capture the moment and take other engagement photos for us. Michel was immediately on-board and began helping me plan the location, time, and surprise proposal. On the day of, he arrived early for set up and discretely prepared to capture the moment. We have tons of beautiful pictures to hold on to and because of him, this is a day we will always remember and have great pictures to look back on.

two hours before we had originally scheduled (right after getting my hair done too). My Fiance called photographers all around the area to find someone to take our photos at the last second and Michel stepped up to the plate! within an hour, we were down at Hampton Park ready to go! He practically brought his entire studio with him (huge bags with several lenses, professional lighting, etc..) and gave us whatever we wanted! He made it so easy to pose for photos and gave us our full edited photos TWO DAYS later! What more could you want in a photographer? HIGHLY suggest going with Michel and his team :)

ur pictures came out beautiful and our photo shoot lasted 2hrs even though it was free, he gave us his best. Highly recommend!

. What stood out about Michel was that he was very personal, outgoing, and honest. He is very upfront with his services and pricing which stood out among others. After deciding to go with Michel he checked in with me several times before my bridal portraits and the wedding. He asked to see my idea board and was very open with my own visions. My bridal portraits were breathtaking and made me even more excited for our wedding day! Michel was more organized than I can even put into words! He runs a tight ship and you should not expect less from a professional! His work is out of this world! All of the family and wedding party loved his presence and were so blown away at our beautiful photos. On top of his amazing work- we got ALL of our photos (hundreds!!) within 18 days of our wedding! I cannot emphasize how much of a disservice you are doing yourself if you do not choose King Street Photo Weddings to shoot your big day! He is highly recommended!

re beyond happy with how everything turned out! Our pictures look amazing.

energy, and creativity throughout the whole day from capturing me and my bridesmaids getting ready early morning, guests group pictures during the reception, to bubble send off at the end of the night. We received all of our pictures before we even got back from our honeymoon, so he is very timely if not early! All of the pictures are stunning and we are so happy that we chose Michel to capture the special day we will now remember forever!

sitive energy were evident the entire time he was with us. We all enjoyed his upbeat and professional mentality. He worked very fast trying to get as many pictures in the perfect locations. He even commented, he wanted to spend some extra time on us, past his contracted window b/c you don't get these types of skies very often! That was pretty awesome to hear. You can easily see why he is so highly recommended. He is passionate about what he does and wants to make sure his clients are excited about his work. I love when professionals take pride in what they do and back what they promise. This is exactly what Mr. Berda did for us that day.

ype A personality that keeps you confident in him and that everything about your wedding day will go perfectly. Michel provided a detailed timeline and updated it each time with our changes as requested. He was determined to get the shots we wanted and that he did. He has a unique eye and captures great moments. He was also very quick to get us the prints for our review. We highly recommend him! Thanks Michel!

as Michele. Not only was he passionate but also extremely professional, making sure to stay in constant communication and being just sneaky enough about it not to ruin the surprise! His photos were awesome and he got some amazing shots of us, our families, and of course the big question!

vance to iron things out and get a timeline (though he is quite a stickler about this) and took beautiful photos. We loved nearly every photo Michel took. He takes his job very seriously and we got comments from many people at our lovely destination wedding in Hilton Head island that he was quite the professional (though for many of us it is unusual to have a photographer so noticeable throughout an event). He is very energetic and eccentric, which translates to beautiful work, but for me it also meant that he knows very well how good he is at what he does and explained to me via email many times how much work was going into my photos "12 hours...32 hours" etc. He did have the photos to us a week ahead of schedule and sneak peeks 24 hours later!

Professional, efficient, friendly and, most importantly, took the most fabulous photographs of our wedding. We could not have wished for better photographer. Thank you, Michel.

photos and experience with Michel. When we first met Michel in the process of planning our wedding, We immediately hired him because of his energy, passion, attention to detail, and experience. I never stressed once about photography, as Michel is so prepared and organized. His timeline was amazing and so helpful! Michel was always willing to go the extra mile, and despite rainy weather in our wedding day we have incredible photos and memories. We also took many family photos and my husband and I were concerned about getting everyone together and getting the pictures done in a short amount of time. But there was no need to worry! Michels professionalism and organization definitely helped us get all the pictures we wanted and more. You will not be disappointed!

he photographer she wanted me to use but I was not sold. So I started reaching out to 10-15 different photographers in Charleston. I was not impressed by any of them until I reached out to Michel. He IMMEDIATELY responded to my emails and was VERY quick to get back to me with excellent attention to detail, understanding of what I would need on the day of my wedding, and offering to support me as I had not even chosen my venue/even visited Charleston. NO other photographer displayed the level of professionalism that Michel displayed. I am usually on top of most details and to find someone that understood the urgency of how I work and to exceed my expectation is also VERY hard to find. Michel consulted me every step of the way. Scott and I decided to visit Charleston to scope out the area and Michel provided a list of places to visit and then we had a consultation to discuss where we wanted to get married and what shots we wanted to have the day of. I sent over an Itinerary and PowerPoint and he thoughtfully provided feedback that supported my organization and planning on the day off. Like for Real!!!!!????!! Amazing! Michel already gave me immense confidence and trust that he would provide photos to cherish for life. He consistently confirmed this over and over during the process (which helped my anxiety). He understood the importance of having him on our day. We were supposed to get rain and even before our wedding he helped us to plan an alternative plan with promises of excellent photos if needed. Luckily the weather held out! Michel was early, so kind, positive, and confident and helped organize everyone before I arrived. Michel captured our wedding with utmost professionalism! He kept us laughing, providing a plan for our photo session throughout Magnolia Plantations, and encouraged me to relax to get better shots. He crawled on the ground with Fire Ants, squatted in the bushes to get more artistic shots and was SO patient!! He also carried around his supportive photography lights throughout the Park and worked his butt off to make sure we were getting captivating pictures! Michel also was flexible to split our time and even worked longer than we hired him for so that we could capture some sunset shots!!! Again, Michel was early, carried his supportive photography lights throughout downtown and laid on the ground many times to get the PERFECT SHOT! We have ALREADY seen some of his pictures prior to him even editing them and OHHHHHH MMYYYY GOSH!! I would love love love to do more photoshoot sessions with Michel in the future as he is not just an EXCELLENT AND TALENTED photographer…which he is. Michel is incredibly kind, soooo funny, so very professional, and takes his work extremely serious. Scott and I feel incredibly blessed to have met Michel and to have had him capture our Wedding. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend having him as your photographer for ANY event…you will be so so grateful you hired him!!

professionalism and passion for his craft make him an easy choice for your special day. Michel will arm you with all the information that you will need to assist him in telling your unique story. By asking the right questions and getting to know what is important to you he will deliver on his promise to provide you with unforgettable moments that will take your breath away. Our daughter was living out of town but planned on a "hometown" Charleston wedding. As the "mother of the bride" I was merely the conduit, it could have been stressful but it wasn't with the help of true professionals like Michel Berda who not only captured a perfect day, but also helped to make it perfect. Thank you again Michel for your time, your talent and your expertise. I look forward to sharing your beautiful images with our family and friends.

ort notice but still had a thorough wedding time-line, pre-wedding conference calls, etc all prepared and initiated by Michel. I can confidently say that there is not a more prepared photographer out there. I believe that one of the keys to feeling comfortable with a wedding vendor is feeling like they truly care about you and the product that they product for you. Again, Michel gets 10's across the board in that regard from both of us. Last, I believe that there are photographers and then there are photographers that are also artists and Michel certainly falls in the latter category. While his commitment and passion are incredible, his talents are as well. Looking through his images truly tell a story about our wedding day and put us back in the moment. We have been thrilled with all of the pictures produced and consider ourselves beyond fortunate to have found Michel and would encourage anyone else that has the opportunity to use his services as well. Thanks, Michel!!!

day, Michel was very attentive to every detail and made sure we had the best day possible! His professionalism, knowledge of his craft, and passion are evident with everything Michel does. We were very confident in our decision to hire Michel, because we could see his dedication to his work when we met for the initial consultation and were able to view his previous work. Michel was able to provide a timeline for the day, which helped so much! Everywhere I looked that day, Michel was there! It is truly amazing how he is able to capture all the big moments that happened. We got married on the beach, and the sunset was gorgeous that night! Michel knew exactly what needed to be done to ensure we got the best pictures and lighting possible. He was able to work with our group to ensure we got all the pictures we wanted for the day. I seriously can not say enough positive things about Michel. I would recommend him to everyone I know, and will definitely be using him in the future!! Thank you Michel for everything you did to help us remember our big day!!

peak with us and learn about our big day. He created an incredible timeline that I used as a basis for all of my vendors - extremely helpful! He arrived on the day very prepared and on time. Michel also had some great ideas for photos that were really unique. For example, we did a "first look" with my dad. It was really special and my dad loved being a part of the moment. Thanks to Michel for being so organized and capturing our special day.

On top of all of that, I've never seen a wedding photographer work as hard as Michel did the day of our wedding and the results showed!

nd meticulous about how he does things. The goal he has for your wedding day is perfection and his work is reflective of that. His energy and drive for a great final product is shown as he captures every possible picture. I truly feel by looking through my pictures I am reliving my storybook day again. Thank you Michel for your hard work and wonderful product. If you like a hard working and meticulous photographer you need to get this guy!

the wedding that kept everyone one the same page and made for a timely and seamless wedding day! His energy and professionalism was something that I think everyone would be look for! He is prompt, detail oriented and above all very talented at what he does. When I received my wedding pictures they were everything I wanted and more! SIMPLY stunning photos. Kevin the videographer did quite and outstanding job as well! The sneak peak video brought me to tears and I can't wait to relive the whole video! Thank you Michel and Kevin for capturing our day better than we could have imagined!

e exactly what I asked for: a first look at the lighthouse. When I changed my mind about things mid session, Michel was very accommodating. For instance, it was SO windy at the lighthouse, we took the first look and then went back to the Sonesta. Michel was very aware of the time and had intentions of capturing the most he could in his time with us. At one point during the reception, my hubsand and I (with Michel and my brother) went down onto the beach and got BEAUTIFUL sunset pictures. Simply stunning. My advice for future brides: know what you want and who you want in your pictures. Michel will do his best to make it all happen. He is flexible, fun, and talented and I would recommend him to anyone!

or personal reasons I realized that I had to have the photoshoot that week, or not at all. Michel immediately cleared his busy schedule to make it happen two days later. The 2.5 hour outdoor shoot in downtown Charleston went perfectly. Michel showed up with two cameras and two lights, and I showed up with my mom, mother in law, and two bridesmaids. As Michel coached me through a series of stunning, creative poses, they helped arrange my long train over a white sheet we had put the ground to keep my dress clean, fixed my hair and handed me my bouquet when asked. At the end of the shoot, Michel promised me at least ten gorgeous edited photos to choose from to display at my reception, and the rest later on, along with my actual wedding photos and video. Who else could pull that off on such short notice? I selected Michel Berda as my wedding photographer within the same hour that I met him at a wedding expo last August. I was first impressed by his credentials: he was the only licensed photographer there who had 30 years of experience photographing over 500 weddings, and he had won a Couple's Choice Award on Wedding Wire for the past 3 years (the 100+ reviews will tell you why) as well as other awards on other wedding websites. Next, I looked through his sample photo albums and noticed his great taste in photo locations, well-chosen lighting and edits, and creativity of poses. As I spoke with him, I could tell that his fun, energetic personality would greatly ease the stress of photoshoots, planning, and my wedding day in general, while his clear directions and detailed day-of timeline for capturing photos and videos would maximize logistical efficiency and minimize my photo regrets. That bridal portrait session confirmed every good thing I already thought about Michel, and the day-of photography and videography timeline shows me how he will capture not just a few precious moments, but the whole story of my wedding day. I'm so happy to know that when my wedding is over, I can relive the whole day anytime through the comprehensive video and photo albums. Thank you, Michel!

ions! They were always professional and very enthusiastic, and willing to go the extra mile. We were very happy with them and can't wait to see how the video turns out!!

have made the process any easier. His creative and customer-centric approach to photography is one I highly recommend to all seeking a photographer who is friendly, professional, and artistic all at once. Admittedly, I am not a huge fan of having my picture taken (who is?), but Michel has such a wonderfully easy going personality that you can't help but feel comfortable while he works with you on your special day. Don't let his relaxed demeanor fool you though, when it comes to the business and organizational aspect of his work Michel couldn't possibly be more professional. He worked extensively with my wife and I to create a timeline for our wedding day that not only suited our needs and desires, but made the entire day run more smoothly and efficiently. We truly could not be happier with Michel's professionalism, positive attitude, and all around hard work. He really does do everything possible to ensure things run smoothly, and we never for a moment doubted that we were working with the best of the best.

for a two hour bridal portraits session. The week of my wedding-- I brought my mom, my mother in law, sister in law, and two of my best friends and we all met downtown. We had a fabulous time!! Michel knew all of these wonderful places in Charleston to take gorgeous pictures. My entire "party" also had a complete blast with him. He definitely kept us entertained and knew what he was doing. His creative eye is a rarity and I am so happy to have had the chance to take these photos with him. I highly recommend him to any bride; especially in Charleston (because he knows where all of these fabulous spots are). Thank you Michel for capturing these beautiful portraits for me to have for a lifetime (and for letting us have so much fun doing so)! Xx

would be so nice to have some photos in my dress in the lowcountry. Michel emailed me the next day to say I had won and I was so excited! I believe this was in august of 2016 and my dress wouldn't be ready (it still needed to come in, get altered, etc) until at least March..Michel said no problem and to let him know when was a good time for me. We decided for a date in early April. As that date approached, I saw heavy rain and 40 mph winds in the forecast! I couldn't stand the thought of damaging my dress before my wedding.. and I emailed Michael in a panic to change the date. We decided to change them to the next day, which had no rain in the forecast. Both days ended up being dry (although windy!) but Michel didn't give me any grief about changing the date. We went to the outskirts of Boone Hall for an hour and then met downtown to take a few more photos as the sun set. We even went into a hotel lobby to take some last shots once the sun was gone. I have only seen two teaser photos so far, but I'm so looking forward to getting to share my bridal portraits with my friends, family, husband, and anyone else who cares to see them after our June 24 wedding! Thanks for everything, Michel! I look forward to hopefully getting the chance to work with you again!

ortantly guided & led us to stay on schedule. THIS IS SO, SO, SO, IMPORTANT. We did not realize how much minutes matter, especially in a late afternoon wedding (when the entire wedding only lasts a few hours...). You are pulled in every direction, and trying to greet both family and close friends, and the time simply disappears. Michel prepped us for this, prepared a meticulous schedule & list for photos, and stuck to it. I think that if we had a photographer who was more casual, we would not have gotten half the great photos we did (with the sun setting so fast). Also, on the wedding day, we received countless compliments about how Michel 'obviously knew what he was doing,' guiding the wedding party into poses that were both creative and memorable. We learned (through prior experience) that everyone 'can be a photographer," so be careful. Just b/c they have a camera Doesn't make them a photographer - especially for your special event. Photography really is Mr. Berda's passion, and his quality product reflects that. He is also fairly structured, so if you want loosey goosey, make sure to discuss that on the front end. For us, that structure gave us fantastic results. Would use him again, and would recommend to friends/family. (Oh, and we had some craazy family--He was great & very patient with them all!)
