About this vendor
Weddings are stressful - fortunately, I've done this before and I've got you. I believe weddings can be sweet and sincere, true to who you are, and beautiful - you can have your cake (or pie or pizza) and eat it, too. And I'll have a slice with you.
I'm here to help you relive your best memories and retell your favorite stories. I'll give you direction when needed, but I know when to let you do your thing. My style is emotional and candid, with a little edge and a good eye for detail. Everyone is nervous in front of the camera, but through quotes from the Office, a collection of my most favorite memes and talk of our favorite carbs, I promise we'll have a good time. Most of my clients say our time together feels easy and relaxed - I'm here to help, and promise to make it fun!

I emailed Kelley after having her recommended by friends who'd gotten married the fall before and I am so glad we connected! Kelley was thoughtful and kind during our entire proces...
s, offering my husband and I tips and tricks she'd learned at other weddings and keeping our stress levels low. Her photographs are beautiful - she took our comments about what was important to us at the wedding seriously and captured those moments. She went with the flow even when we didn't quite know what was happening and was there when we needed her. I cannot recommend her more highly!!
I cannot tell you how happy I am with our photos and our experience with Kelley. Our engagement photos were effortless- we walked around downtown Raleigh, Kelley captured some of o...
ur favorite spots and made us feel completely at ease. Our wedding photos are beautiful! We look like movie stars, we look like royalty, we look like moviestarroyalty. She made the whole day and the whole process so easy. 13/10 would recommend.
I met Kelley when she photographed my sister’s wedding in April of 2016. Little did I know that I would become engaged one week later. I immediately knew that I wanted Kelley to ca...
pture my special day as well. Kelley is an exceptional photographer who helps you feel comfortable behind the camera. I appreciate her ability to capture natural moments instead of forced poses. I would recommend Kelley to any bride to be.
My husband and I searched for the right y.wedding photographer for weeks. We reviewed dozens of portfolios and instagram accounts and no one had the right balance of aesthetic and ...
style for us, until we found Kelley. Browsing through her work we knew she was the right style and look fit for us, and after our initial meeting with her we were sold. Kelley is unassuming and sweet and completely down to earth. Our engagement shoot was more like hanging out with a friend who happened to keep snapping photos, and the results captured us (and our pups) perfectly.
When our wedding day rolled around, Kelley was everything I wanted in a photographer. She was present but not at all pushy, calm, fun, and so attuned to the action. She seemed to capture all the incredible little moments, even if they weren't happening in the spotlight. She made sure we got the posed portraits we wanted, but didn't do the old school "tilt your head this way, now scooch in a little more that way" nonsense. She let us arrange ourselves the way we felt comfortable and worked with that - and the portraits came out looking exactly like us, not stiff or forced.
Writing this over two years after our wedding and having lost my dad since then, I cannot overstate how glad I am that Kelley was part of our wedding day. The photos I have of my dad with me, my husband, and our family and friends are priceless to me.
We are now expecting our first child and cannot wait to work with Kelley again for maternity and newborn photos. We desperately hope she never decides to leave Durham, so we can continue to have beautiful family photos for years to come.
I've known Kelley for over 15 years and she has been photographing our family since 2014. She has that special innate sense of capturing the most intimate, special moments between ...
family and loved ones. Her ability to photograph moments as they happen is a highly sought-out skill. She is extremely flexible and has a wonderful "go with the flow" attitude, not to mention an amazingly funny sense of humor. The photos she produces have always been breathtaking and we'll cherish them for many years to come. Over the past 5 years, she has delivered beautiful results and has an eye in capturing those sweet, subtle moments in between poses and shots. Thank you, Kelley, for sharing your talent with all of us.
Working with Kelley was an absolute dream!
From the moment my (now) husband and I laid eyes on Kelley's work, we knew she would perfectly capture the look and feel of our special ...
day. Her honest, "moody" perspective is such a beautiful contrast to so many of the overly-exposed wedding photos you see these days—and was exactly the aesthetic we were hoping for.
During our engagement shoot (included in our wedding package), Kelley made us feel completely comfortable, traipsing around our stomping grounds of downtown Raleigh. My husband and I particularly loved that Kelley was more interested in capturing us being our real selves rather than having us pose or do anything that felt forced or inauthentic. On our wedding day (we had a very small, intimate wedding ceremony + dinner with close family and friends), I didn't even notice Kelley moving through the crowd and around the room—she's *that* good.
And of course, the photos! I can't express enough how perfect they are—so perfect that I still get chills every time I open our gallery. Kelley captured every single moment so beautifully. Perhaps most importantly, she's got an incredible eye for the small, in-between, subtle moments I didn't think could be documented—but I'm so glad she did.
So—long story short, I would work with Kelley again in a heartbeat. My husband and I are so lucky to have such a beautiful gallery to look back on for the rest of our lives. Kelley was, hands-down, the best decision we made on our special day (besides marrying each other!).
It's almost been a year since our wedding and we are still reminiscing about the day with our beautiful photos! When we were looking for a photographer we knew we wanted someone th...
at didn't over edit the photos. We wanted to look at the photos and say "That's exactly how it looked." Kelley was comfortable to work with, adjusting her day of schedule to match our changing schedule (the guys were late to get ready after lunch), and captured so many priceless moments that I would have never thought of asking her to photo. We chose not to hire a videographer due to the budget so choosing a GREAT photographer was important to us. We are still happy with that choice and highly recommend Kelley for engagement/wedding photos! Whenever we decide to have children we hope to use Kelley again :)
Kelley is truly one of a kind. She knows how to capture every single special moment and takes pictures that help you relieve the day. She was with us from the beginning and I hop...
e she will be part of all future family pictures!
Absolute Perfection! Wouldn’t change a thing!
Asking Kelley to be our photographer for our intimate day was one of the best things we did for our wedding day. She is phenomenal! He...
r communication, professionalism and flexibility is top notch. But those photos! Ah! Nothing could beat them. Kelley captured raw, edgy, moody, delicate moments full of emotion. Even when she directs your style she doesn’t overly pose you and captures really sweet, sincere moments that allow you to relive the magic of the day over and over again. She seems to let her talent and skill shine through without over editing which I really appreciated in this heavily filtered world we live in. People have literally stopped me in public several times since posting our photos on social media and have complimented the quality and the style. I’m thrilled with Kelley and her work and would recommend her to anyone, anytime!
Kelley is absolutely amazing! She did our engagement and our wedding pictures. I couldn’t of asked for a better photographer! Not only did the pictures turn out amazing but she was...
so awesome to work with! Would recommend 10/10 times! Will definitely be using her for all of our future adventures!

rite moments from that day. She takes the time to learn your style, your priorities for the event, and the end product will absolutely be above and beyond. Kelley is innovative, edgy, and never cheesy! Friendly advice do not skimp on photography—hire the best!

read my mind. I’d absolutely recommend her.
We just got all our wedding photos back and I feel like I won the lottery!!! They are moody, raw, full of emotion, candid, the composition is dreamy, the colors, they capture the t...
rue essence of our wedding. Kelley is amazingly talented - she's an incredible artist and I'm over the moon excited! We planned a destination wedding and after I narrowed it down to my top favorite photographers that were in our budget, I chose her based on her work and transparent approach. I love authentic people and instantly felt a connection to her. She arrived early, she was focused the entire time, being creative all the while. I tend to get overwhelmed with a ton of photos and she did such a great job at being fluid and disappearing to the background, yet somehow she was always in the right spot at the right time. I don't even remember seeing her when I was walking down the isle but she got all the dreamiest photos and I was able to just be in the moment. I really appreciate that skill in any photographer capturing a live event, because it's not easy. Our expectations have been far exceeded - thank you from the bottom of my heart for being a part of our wedding and forever memories.
