About this vendor
Hi my name is Katlyn Bartoszek I am the head makeup artist and bridal coordinator of a freelance studio called, Local Kolor Studio, right here in the Cleveland area. Let me tell you a little about myself! I started my journey in the makeup world 7 years ago when I picked up and moved to NYC to go to one of the top makeup schools in the country called, 'Makeup Designory NYC'. I graduated there with a beauty makeup/ special FX/ hair styling certification in 2014. After I graduated, I decided to pick up and move back home to the Northeast Ohio. When I arrived' I immediately started building my own brand and was doing lots of editorial / wedding makeup. I FELL IN LOVE with bridal makeup so that is what I decided to focus my career on and have now been a bridal specialist for 5 years! Our freelance studio doesn't just provide makeup but have a well rounded team of makeup and hair stylists! I am determined to give every client and/ or bride the best possible service using nothing but top of the line products such as Tatcha, Urban Decay, Estee Lauder, ABH, Benefit, Dior, NARS, and Milk just to name a few. Also, I am always checking out the new and upcoming trends and you can follow my instagram for month to month unboxing from allure beauty box and boxy charm. Kate was amazing! She is so talented along with her team. She is friendly and professional. With only 2 people on site instead of 3 for my wedding after a last minute call off, She...
and the makeup artist got all 8 of us ready and ready ON TIME! It was amazing! She did my hair and makeup exactly how I wanted it and made me feel so beautiful! Can’t recommend her enough!
Kate and her team are amazing! I hired Local Kolor Studio for my 7/12/25 wedding, Kate and Meghan had all of us looking incredible. She brought everyone’s vision to life, especiall...
y mine. I wasn’t even entirely sure what I was hoping for, especially for my makeup, but she exceeded all expectations. She’s confident, efficient, and so fun to work with! Definitely consider Kate and Local Kolor Studio for your wedding glam needs!

e morning of my wedding and she kept the good vibes going! Kate and her team are so talented and had me and my girls looking so good for the wedding! Kate made me feel so beautiful for my wedding and I’m so appreciative of her hard work and dedication to her job. You can’t go wrong if you book her for your wedding day!!
Could not recommend enough!!! Kate and her team are very very good at what they do. My bridesmaids, mom, and I are all light-to-no makeup wearers and of course were hesitant about ...
having full makeup on. Kate and Amanda both did FANTASTIC on our makeup, making sure we were very comfortable and also looked amazing. All of our hair was done SO perfectly as well, we all felt beautiful and comfortable that day. Kate and Amanda did their very best to bring out all of our beauty. Also, they are just fun and nice girls, a great addition to the wedding morning!
I want to start by saying she does do a good job at hair and make up. Not the best I’ve ever had and not the worst. But her communication was horrible- almost putting my daughter (...
the bride) into a panic multiple times. We even went as far as contacting other hair/make up professionals because it was starting to seem like she wouldn’t show. She was the only vendor that caused any problems. Wouldn’t send a schedule, tried to book another event after the wedding (leaving my sister ready for her wedding 3 hours before it began??) and just over all unresponsive. She isn’t the type of person who should work on weddings if she can’t communicate. It’s a recipe for stress for the bride. Most wedding vendors know this- she does not. Here’s the kicker. She sends a text before the wedding stating that “industry standard” tip is 30% for hair and make up. Which is a flat out lie. Overall- just a bad experience. My advice to her would be to immediately STOP sending the 30% tip text. It’s a.) a lie and b.) tasteless c.) resulted in us tipping her less than industry standard with all things considered. She made a very large sum on money for her day of work and to expect another 30% on top of that is outrageous. Funny part is I would have likely tipped her that if she wasn’t rude and unresponsive.
Katlyn and her team did both hair and makeup for 7 people on my wedding day, several of whom were reluctant because they were either very particular, or weren’t used to wearing mak...
eup at all. By the end of the day Katlyn won them over completely. She is incredibly talented, professional, and a pleasure to work with. She and her team made me feel the most beautiful I have ever felt, and my bridesmaids looked stunning too. Her products are top of the line, the makeup was light and it lasted through picture taking in harsh weather and hours of dancing. Thank you Katlyn!
If I could give Katlyn and her team at Local Kolor 1 million stars, I would. The amount of talent in this team is exceptional. Not only will Katlyn execute your desired look to per...
fection, but she will make the entire process fun and enjoyable! I have never ever felt more beautiful in my entire life than on my wedding day, all thanks to Kate. The amount of compliments I received on my wedding day glam is countless.
Her team also glammed my mother and sister, who rarely have professional makeup done. They made them both feel so comfortable throughout the process, and look flawless.
If you are still looking for a wedding hair and makeup artist, just stop now and hire Kate and her team. I promise you will not regret it!!!

ut special "fairy dust" on my 4 year old niece and braided her hair so pretty in order for her to feel special too. My makeup lasted all night, and you better believe I danced like it was my business. After my trial, I was in water for a photo shoot for 2 hours after hiking for 2 miles and my makeup and hair was perfect after all of that too. Katlyn is kind, sweet, loyal, fair, and professional. She is an exceptional artist and is truly talented.
