ould I want traditional and predictable wedding portraits. I struggled to find someone who I felt confident would capture the essence of “us,” and do so with raw, artistic edge. I just knew when I saw Katie's work, I had to have her as our wedding photographer. And boy, am I ever glad I found her! First off, Katie has such a genuinely tender and heartfelt presence that had a calming effect on all of us. It is truly a pleasure to know her. As for the pictures, everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, who sees them are blown away. Few have ever seen such a unique collection. Our friends and family repeatedly comment on how they look like they are straight out of a high-fashion bridal magazine. Her work is truly unequaled. It’s everything we hoped our wedding album would be: quirky, colorful, casual, dramatic, unexpected, and most of all, BEAUTIFUL. We cannot stop looking at them. The more I look at them, the more I love them! They actually take my breath away. Katie truly has a special gift. Her talent for capturing the raw beauty of her subjects is simply remarkable. Katie perfectly preserved the precious moments of our day.

Our favorite photo is where she caught our reflection in a tidal pool on the beach with the sunset in the background. We love that we own the rights to our proofs. She also handled our family very well speaking up when she needed to with a very headstrong family. Katie was also very easy to get in touch with during the wedding planning phase.;I wish we had more time to view our photos on her website. I think we only got one month.
