We truly could not have imagined a better experience than the one we just had with Kate. She is extremely easy and professional to communicate with. Accommodating, honest, and tran...

We wanted an organic, natural approach to our photos and she fit this to a T. She captured every moment, from every angle but in a way you almost didn't even know she was there! So organic and comfortable. There is nothing staged or posed about her style.
The final photos are uploaded to a beautiful platform which is easy to browse, share, download, and shop from.
She provided us with such a wide range of images in our gallery to choose from, I'm left with no doubt she captured every important moment.
The style is timeless, the color and light is perfectly captured and edited. A beautiful, artistic eye.
Kate is such a talented photographer and we could not recommend her more! She captured all our special moments and made our day effortless. Our family and friends loved her and lov...

Kate was great a easy to work with. She's got plenty of experience and knew what things I should be considering which was a relief. The whole experience was very low maintenance an...
d so meaningful!
Kate - We adore her as a person and a photographer. I was an older bride at 51 and really wanted photos that were representative of the day's "action". We wanted a few family sti...
lls but mostly candids of our friends, family and the food! We had seen Kate's work, which is so beautiful and captures so vividly, the emotion in the moment. We knew we'd found the photographer for us. And then we met Kate and were warmed by her infectious and fun personality and I knew we found far more than just a photographer. She met my family (especially my niece) and they all hit it off with her instantly as well. Everyone felt immediately comfortable and as a result, their crazy and beautiful authentic selves came out for the perfect pictures! She was amazing throughout the day. Always in the right spot at the right time (yet not seeing her in many of those moments!) My niece told me that she's now found HER photographer in Kate. We feel very lucky to have the most beautiful and fun pictures of our day, as well as now having the benefit of Kate as our friend. You will NOT be disappointed!
SIMPLY THE BEST EVER!
I have so many wonderful things to say about Kate, her work, her style, and how responsive and helpful she was throughout the planing process. Photography wa...
s one of the most important elements to our wedding, and I was very picky about finding a photographer who met our needs. Her pictures are AMAZING, we are thrilled with them. Looking back on the day and having these beautiful pictures to remember it all will be a treasure for us for years to come. She really was able to capture our personalities through the pictures, and seemed to be almost invisible through the day...yet very present, if that makes sense. She was great about handling "difficult" situations, with humor, and grace...not everyone in our immediate family is close, but she made everything seamless, and easy. As many other brides can attest to it's not always easy with divorced parents, but the day was perfect, and the pictures are proof of it. Its amazing to me how many gorgeous shots she got of all the little details, and portraits.. mixed with canids, which is exactly what we wanted. She really captured our wedding day in a artful, soulful, beautiful way. I highly recommend Kate as a wedding photographer, and we will be using her as our family grows, for family pictures. Thank you, Kate, we love you!
Thrilled to write this for you Kate, you went above and beyond in every way to make our day so beautiful. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Your talent, and kindness, warmth & profe...
ssionalism was bar none/ amazing. Kate is a true artist, a friend on the day of the wedding! She worked so quickly on our pictures, we had them with-in two weeks of our wedding! Buy the album, its worth every penny. We love sitting back and looking through it even a year later.

rapher to really capture true emotions..Kate nailed it! I knew from looking at her photos on her website she would be the perfect fit for us. On top of her photography skills, she's laid back, personable and professional. Her personality meshed perfectly with ours. She really cares about getting the best shots possible and her passion comes through in her work. We couldn't be happier with our wedding photos! Thank you so much, Kate! :)
From day one when I saw Kate's photos I was sold. It only got better from there. We shared a vision and she brought that vision to life. She was so much fun to work with during the...
whole wedding planning process, bouncing ideas around with her was a blast and got me really excited about the wedding, even when things got overwhelming with everything else in the process. On the day of, she was early, and stayed with my mom, bridesmaids and I, listened to our stories, laughed with us, shot gorgeous photos of the getting ready time, which can be emotional, she captured that. Her wedding shooting style is relaxed, and comes together in a natural way that is shown in her photos. Absolutely gorgeous candids, venue shots, flower shots. It was all perfect. Thank you Kate, for being a part of what is now, the biggest, most amazing day of my life! xoxo
I cannot say enough fabulous things about Kate. We emailed back and forth, easily picked a date that worked for us, I mailed in a deposit and we saw her on our date. She showed up ...
happy faced, so social-able and set right up! Nothing was posed, she just snapped and after an hour or so she had more than 200 photos! Our personalities clicked extremely well and she made the overall experience so much fun!
She told me that we would have our photos within a week - and we received our online album within JUST 24 HOURS! How amazing! There is nothing like the suspense of waiting to see something you are so excited for - I didn't know how long I could actually wait for!
Kate traveled over an hour and a half to come to our home, and an hour and a half back - she even went back to edit some photos that needed slight tweaking without any hesitation.
Our vision for our engagement photos were completely taken from our thoughts - to real life, thanks to Kate!
We cannot thank her or recommend her enough! This is your go to girl!
Sincerely, Jenna
Kate shot our wedding on September 6th, 2014 at the Hopkins Vineyard in Warren, Connecticut. A few months prior to our wedding, we met up with Kate to discuss her style of photogra...
phy, and how it would fit with our vision. Kate takes beautiful, candid photos that are very natural, which was exactly what we wanted. She managed to catch the feel and essence of our wedding, not just a series of posed and choreographed shots. I think part of her talent is in being very discreet (I refer to it as having "ninja-like" skills!) - she captured some amazing moments, without us, or our guests realizing she was even there! Personally, Kate is also a pleasure to work with, very easy going and friendly. We can't thank her enough for our precious photos and would recommend her to anyone looking for timeless photos with a unique perspective.
Kate is amazing - on top of the fact that she's a great photographer, her dedication, enthusiasm and personality shines.
I felt like I had known her for years when we met. Shes...
a very inviting person with a great sense of humor and she's always determined to capture exactly what the client wants.
I asked her if we would be able to do a mini-session on a farm and we not only captured moments at March Farm near her house, but she also shot some pictures at her house at her very own barn and with some goats down the road! She named our session 'Trash the Dress - ' very creative!
I would highly suggest hiring Kate for your special event/special time in your life!
Personable, great attention to detail...just absolutely amazing. Kate was flexible with payment pland and got the pictures back to me within weeks of the wedding! Amazing
Searching for the right photographer for your wedding is definatley a hard task. When I saw Kate's work, I knew I wanted her to photograph my wedding. She was kind, helpful, and we...
even had a lot in common for what I was looking for with photos. I love unique, fun, different photos as much as the traditional. While planning my wedding, at the most stressful time, she was very understanding to what I wanted and she was friendly to everyone at our wedding, snapping tons of important moments as well as asking what I wanted through out. After the wedding, she even gave us a personal sneak peak! She was very quick with getting our photos to us, shortly after getting back from our honeymoon, as we were so excited to see all our memories frozen in time. Kate is a pleasure to work with and her work is beautiful, plain and simple.
Kate is friendly, warm, and talented at what she does. Our wedding took place in a torrential downpour (let me repeat, TORRENTIAL!), and Kate still worked diligently and cheerfull...
y to capture photos of our event. My husband and I both are so impressed with the artistic quality that Kate lends to her work and so pleased with the images she captured. The work felt true to the spirit of our wedding and who we are. The photos are not the typical wedding photos (which isn't want we wanted anyway) - not your posed portrait sort of deal, but a spirited photo-journal of the events of the day. Lovely work. The photography was one of the largest pieces of our budget, which made us nervous at first, but we were so impressed and happy how everything turned out. DEFINITELY worth the investment. We appreciated Kate's casual approach to working with us, which was a relief compared to other high-pressure photographers we had looked at before finding her. Her presence was a welcome part of the wedding and we were so glad to have her be a part of our day!!!
Kate was so easy to work with from the beginning--so quick returning emails and getting back to me that I knew the day would run smoothly with her capturing it all. And she did--w...
ithout ever being in the way! Her laid back manner also really helped during some heightened stressful times, and she got her photos to me way ahead of schedule. Thanks, Kate!!
Kate could not have been more amazing from start to finish - A perfect professional in every way and a simply amazing photographer. Our experience with her goes way beyond those t...
wo qualities though. She quickly understood both my husband and me very well and was very attuned to our style/interests/needs when it came to our wedding photos. Then, on the day of the wedding, it was like having another friend around! She connected with other vendors to keep things moving well, she developed rapport with my family members, and she made everything feel fun and casual - all the while taking AMAZING pictures and capturing moments that mean so much to us!
I was pleased to find a local photographer who could capture our beach, eco-chic wedding. It was a vintage theme and I wanted pictures to match. My husband and I found Kate easy to...
work with, as well as our entire extended family found her. She was creative, yet got some un-posed family shots...managed to capture all the little moments. The day went by so fast, but I am glad I have a story book of pictures to capture the day. I hope to use her in future family events, and look forward to spreading the word to friends about her amazing talent. It also should not go with out mention how friendly and easy going she was. She was able to know exactly what was important to us, naturally intuitive, she is truly talented!
Kate was able to photograph my wedding in 2005 and people still tell me how great my photos are. Kate started with me from the morning on and was able to capture a lot of memorable...
moments. None of the photos looked phony or staged - that was essential to me. I am a pretty low key bride, but I still wanted all the memories, so Kate managed to group people in an easy way. She was able to capture the prep, ceremony and reception artistically and beautifully. My husband and I felt surrounded by love on our wedding day and Kate was able to capture that as well.
Kate was AWESOME from day one. I was a very low maintenance bride and Kate sensed exactly what I wanted from our very professional and productive first meeting. She then showed up...
with little instruction and managed to execute and remembered who was who and what was what, so she got photos of various family members and all the "right" people and captured the "right" moments. As a working bride, it was a TRUE thrill and rarity to work with someone who is both so professional and an artist. She's also extremely pleasant to be around. If you have the opportunity, HIRE Kate! You will not regret it. I'm already looking forward to using her for her AMAZING CHILD PHOTOGRAPHY when we get to that next stage :-)
Kate did an amazing job photographing our wedding! She is truly a gifted photographer who instinctively knows how to capture the moment, expression, and emotion. I highly recommend...

Kate captured the real beauty of the day...

redibly friendly. She blended in the day of our wedding and we had a lot of people comment on how discreet she was; and how much they loved our photos. They were easy to share with our friends and guests. All of our pictures were wonderful. We wanted mostly candid, and that is what we got, we had a few pictures with family but they were very natural, not overly posed. I cherish all the pictures and would highly recommend Kate Uhry Photographer to friends, family and anyone who is looking for artistic, candid, and professional wedding pictures!
As my wedding approached, I was a little worried, since we have some very camera shy people in our wedding party, most especially my groom. Luckily for us, we hired Kate (mostly b...
ecause I like her natural, candid style, where she captures people when they are unaware of the camera). There were only 11 people in our wedding, but Kate managed to fade into the background and catch some very precious memories and expressions. She got the posed shots I wanted, but also had some truly spectacular candids. She gently nudged me into shots with all my special people, and as a result, I have incredible intimate photos with my mother, sister, father and best friends, as well as details of the dress, shoes, and jewelry. If you like tradition mixed with breath-taking candids, this photographer is for you.
When choosing a photographer for our wedding I was very nervous. Photography is really important to me. I wanted to find a photographer who had experience, and also one who had a...
casual vibe (as I have a very high-strung family). I also wanted spontaneous and candid moments to be natural and not forced. From the very beginning Kate got exactly what we wanted, and perfectly understood us. I loved all the images she had on her website, and knew that it was worth it to hire someone who we got along with, and who was clearly so talented. Kate is a fantastic photographer, and is so talented! From our first emails, to our exchanges in planing everything was seamless. I never worried for a moment in regards to our photography. On the day of, she had a relaxed and sweet demeanor (she helped me with my hair when it fell out when my bridesmaids were all off doing something else). She was warm and easygoing with the families, and she was not in the way or even noticeable when taking pictures. Seriously, it was like magic! She delivered exactly what I thought she would--beautiful pictures that we will cherish forever. Kate is professional, as well as flexible and so easy to work with. I would highly recommend her as a wedding photographer, and will plan on using her as our family grows.
