Gives feedback on positioning to make sure you both look good in the photos, but doesn't overcoach or spend too much time making tiny tweaks that won't make a difference. During our engagement photo shoot (just the two of us), she gave more direction, since that was a pure photoshoot, than she did during our engagement party or the wedding reception. Responsiveness: Kate was always responsive. If she was taking vacation & knew her responses would be slower, she always communicated that ahead of time, so there was no guessing why you weren't getting a response back. Otherwise, she was very prompt in responding. Kate also had our photos reviewed, curated, edited, and back to us so much quicker than I would have expected (within 2 weeks of our events), which was amazing! Flexibility: Kate also let us change the time frame of our event 2 or 3 different times (specifically extending the time and shifting the start/end windows). We did *not* change the date and had already confirmed availability for our event - we changed the window of time from 4:30pm-7:30pm to ~4-9pm. We did pay for the incremental time, but the hourly rate was very clear from the start, so there were no surprises (and we knew this in making the request to extend the window). All that to say, Kate was extremely accommodating! Pricing/Value: I don't have a great sense of the range of pricing for photographers. I would imagine you can find a cheaper photographer, but I thought Kate's costs were very fair for her professionalism, work product & ease to work with. Recommendation: Kate came highly recommended to me, and I would also recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer for their special occasions.

She is so warm and friendly but also very professional. We talked via phone a few times leading up to the wedding and she met with us at the venue to do a walkthrough. We had one special request, to make the photo settings look different than my other daughter’s wedding, since the church and reception venues were the same, and Kate totally delivered on that request. She found settings at our club that we did not know existed! Kate was thorough, efficient, and calm on the day of the wedding, which was exactly what we all needed. When we got the sneak peak within the first few days, we could not believe how beautiful the photos were! Kate did an unbelievable job with the lighting and capturing the beauty of the day and the happy couple. Her photos are authentic, unique, and absolutely stunning! On top of all of this, Kate is amazing to work with. On your wedding day, you spend a lot of time with your photographer, so it’s important that you like their approach. She managed the logistics of photographing many people so well and with poise. She’s efficient and won’t keep you in poses/taking pictures longer than is needed. In the moments where we were doing things (ceremony, dancing, etc.) where she was taking photos in the background, she was never obtrusive; I honestly don’t even remember her being there (which is what you want!). I’ve been to other weddings where you’re constantly aware of the presence of a photographer, and this wasn’t like that at all. She made me feel calm all day. Leading up to the wedding, we had a few calls to go through timeline for the day and must-have shots, and I appreciated her recommendations for how to make things run more smoothly to capture everything I wanted. She was by far the best vendor we booked for the entire wedding, and the investment in her work is well worth it. If you’re reading this wondering if you should pull the trigger, just do it. You’ll have these amazing photos for the rest of your life!
