K&B was extremely helpful when going through the process of finding my dress. I'm a little more laid back about the whole thing, so they did a great job of matching my party's vibe...
s, while still being extremely helpful and finding the style that fit me best. They did do a good job of offering me dresses within my budget (even though I ended up loving one that was out of budget hehe - of course). Great experience!
I went to K&B Hagerstown for a trunk show. I made the appointment 3-4 weeks in advance and notified them which dress I wanted to try. I was told the whole collection would be there...
. After driving an hour and a half to get there, I found out the whole collect was not there and the specific dress I asked for was not even there either. They said they would reach out to Justin Alexander to try to get it brought in (for $50) however it’s been well over a month and I still haven’t heard from them. It was extremely disappointing. Since then I went to In White. They went above and beyond to have the dress brought in for free and I happily purchased it from them.
K & B bridals was fantastic! Working with Morgan could not have been a more fun experience and I appreciate her help in finding my dream dress so much. Highly recommend!
My daughter, her bridesmaids and myself visited the store last weekend and had an absolutely horrible experience. We left very upset and I will never step foot inside this establi...
shment again, let alone purchase from them. We visited the store once before while looking for the wedding dress and had a wonderful experience so we planned the return visit with the bridesmaids. Although we did not purchase the wedding dress from them, it was not due to the service, but the selection. On Saturday we were greeted promptly and pleasantly, allowed to look through their bridesmaid selection and start trying on the dresses. While the girls were trying on the dresses my daughter was discussing the options with them of the dress collection at Potomac bridal, or another dress collection she had sent them from an online store. During her conversation, my daughter was attacked by our consultant Theresa about why we even came in the store if we planned to buy online. She accused my daughter of only bringing her party in to use there services to get measured so they could then place orders online, and that we were the reason that establishments like theirs were going out of business. My daughter informed her that we were very interested in one of the designers they carried, but we were considering our options and that she was trying to be considerate of her bridesmaids and the cost of dresses as several of them are still in college and living on very limited budgets. I told Theresa I was extremely insulted by her accusations and let her know that if all we intended to do was have the girls measured we would not have driven an hour to do so. She then proceeded to pressure the girls into making decisions and ordering that day or they would not have their dresses in time for the wedding, after we were told when we first arrived we had 2-3 weeks. I tried to contact the owner of the establishment to let her know about my experience, but she was not available. I would like to tell her it is not "people like me" that are going to be the demise of her establishment, but sales consultants like Theresa. In today's day and age I don't know many people that are not budget conscious and if you want people to pay more money for comparable clothing it is your service that will set you apart and encourage customers to buy your products. Our experience with Potomac Bridals service was reprehensible and I would warn anyone entering this establishment to beware.
Great selection of dresses and plenty of space for my family and bridesmaids to sit. It was a little rushed towards the end, but good experience overall!
Potomac Bridals by far has the best dresses, staff and service. I initially went to David's bridal looking for my wedding dress and ended up trying on over 12 dresses. I called up...
Potomac bridals and was able to get an appointment the very next day. Jodi was super friendly and helped me every step of the way. I told her my budget and not once did she try to show me anything above it. I even mentioned I really liked a particular dress and she immediately let me know it was way over my limit. I only tried on maybe 3 different dresses before finding the one. I didn't have anywhere to hide my dress at home so I was able to store my dress at the shop until I was ready to pick it up for alterations. Speaking of alterations, they even provided me with a list of seamstresses! When I was done with alterations I was able to bring my dress back to the shop for storage and a complimentary steaming so it was all ready to go for the big day. My bridesmaids also got their dresses here and were able to get a small discount since I purchased my dress. Anyone in need of a wedding dress, prom dress etc. this is the place to go!
Everyone was very professional and helpful.
If you are a bride looking for gowns size 16 or higher, feel free to skip Potomac Bridal.

t prior to our appointment. While they were flexible in allowing us to come early to our appointment, she seemed very frustrated that I hadn't picked any dresses from the floor while I was waiting for her to be ready for our appointment - Although I had been told only six dresses were options prior to my appointment.
When I started to try on the couple dresses available, my maid of honor was quickly snapped at and told not to reference my top choices from another store when we were reviewing the options at Potomac. Due to the limited stock, we moved quickly to a final dress I really liked and hit almost everything I was looking for. While it was a beautiful dress, the consultant never once asked about my fiancé, the wedding, the venue... But she did find a chance to ask about bridesmaids dress and express her distaste for an online store I'd chosen for ease of ordering since half of the bridal party are 10+ hours away and I'd used them successfully in a wedding I was in last year. It all ended with the accusation that we were the reason small businesses were disappearing. This was also around the time we mentioned we had one more appointment in the day at David's Bridal, to which Teresa scoffed and said, "Cancel that appointment - You have a beautiful designer dress here!"
As I said the final dress was a top contender and I requested information be written down so I could compare with my top choices at the other salons I had visited. Teresa said she would put it in my bridal folder. When my future mother in law pressed her and asked what I would get to take with me, she was laughed at and told, "Nothing!" before Teresa launched into a list of reasons why they couldn't give me the information of the designer, style number and price.

I live in Queens, NY and did the typical NYC dress shop try-ons. I found a couture dress at a shop in NYC and had my heart set on it. My parents live outside of D.C. and I decided ...
to look for some places near them that had similar dresses. I ended up at Potomac Bridals honestly not expecting to find anything. However, I ended up walking out with a dress that was even more stunning, with a far better experience that Kleinfelds NYC. I'm only giving a 4 star review because of the lack of alliteration.

lked in to Potomac Bridals, the staff pleasantly greeted us and then we were off to our first wedding-dress shop appointment. Jodi helped us and was not only incredibly attentive (we felt that we were the only ones in the shop), but thoroughly knowledgeable. She knew the right questions to ask and the right advice to give - all in helping my daughter come to the best decision about what look she wanted and what dress would best fit her style. When we left that day, my daughter had selected her wedding gown! It is beautiful; Jodi did not leave one stone unturned. I can't wait to see it again when it comes in for fittings. We are thrilled to have found Potomac Bridals!

esses so it was on the top of my list. Not only do they have gorgeous gowns but a wonderful staff. Jodi could not have been more knowledgable and attentive, listening to my wants and helping me unpack my preferences. She was so kind and pulled dresses that met all the criteria. She helped me by asking the right questions and had helpful input while being a guiding hand. She was appropriately helpful. And wouldn't you know, I found my dress! Make them your first stop!

wn. My appointment was with Jodi but all of them were stopping by and giving ideas. This was also the only place that did not push budget limits. I ended up not getting a dress here but prob would have if I had time to go back and try on dresses with a new budget. Honestly, after dealing with them all of the other places I went were awkward and didn't feel as comfortable voicing my opinion. Deff go visit!!!

his wedding stuff (I'm her first) went in to ask for alterations. They told her, "We cannot do measurements unless you are a customer." She also said, "let's just put it this way, they were not pleasant to me." I found a mother of the bride dress for my mom online and wanted to use Potomac Bridal for myself (I'm flying home in one week). I will look elsewhere in the D.C. area.

t to pick out dresses based on the style I described. When I found my dress, I expressed concern that I could not find a seam near the bottom that would allow the seamstress to hem the dress. The consultant assured me that a seamstress would not have a problem hemming the gown. Unfortunately, Potomac does not have a seamstress on staff, so it was not possible to consult someone that day.
I purchased the dress, but soon realized that there was in fact no seam; the bottom of the dress was made up of individual applique. It took my seamstress and her staff well over 40 hours just to remove the lace applique on the bottom. Needless to say, the alternations were over budget, and that is with the seamstress giving us a hefty discount.
Ultimately, the dress was beautiful on our wedding day, and I don't think the consultant knowingly lied, but it would have been nice to know that the alterations were a little more intensive than what she insinuated.
The girls at Potomac Bridal were wonderful! Especially Theresa. I went into the shop by myself to choose my wedding dress. Theresa was very patient, honest, and kind to me. I tried...

They offer a huge amount of dresses and will even discount if you choose your dress and veil off the rack. The have a free layaway program which made it very easy for my to get the dress I really wanted.
We also purchased bridesmaids dresses and tuxedo rentals here. Everything come in on time without mistakes. When you call, they are very helpful in providing information. Would choose them a million times over any other area bridal shop.

I prefered their previous location, but the new location has a larger dress selection.
Service and help was just wonderful! The shop is designed to give a wonderful experience ! We enjoyed working with them !

What I did buy here was my bridal jewelry, which was actually the hardest thing for me to find. I loved what I got there, and had the same excellent service while just looking for accessories as I did when looking for a gown. I also loved the price: I'd seen the same jewelry at another boutique and it was far less expensive at Potomac!
My dress was exactly what I was looking for, and more! I had no trouble finding it, and I even bought the dress from the floor, saving 10%!

Maryland this summer to pick out my wedding dress at the last minute. These women are absolutely amazing! They heard my story and knew we were on a time crunch. I asked for a dress to be shipped from a specific designer and they had it waiting for me. When it wasn't The One, Rebecca went and grab a few dresses off their racks and the first one she picked was IT. Mind you, I have NEVER been that girl to dream about her wedding. I never understood the whole, "you know it when you see it"...well, I knew it the minute I turned around in the mirror and saw it. Rebecca picked out a dress for me that was even better than the one I asked to be brought in. It had just the right amount of sexy mixed with shimmer and spice. My mom cried. It was THE dress. My husband loved it when he saw me walk down the aisle. He told me I looked amazing. They made me feel so special.
I would recommend this boutique to ANYONE looking for a dress. When asked what our budget was, I really had no idea. All of their dresses are UNDER $1,000. They offer a discount if you take a dress directly off their rack. This is a great place to go for budget brides and for ANYONE looking for a personalized and fun experience. Such a wonderful group of ladies!

e you have the perfect dress for your perfect day! They are sure to give you the special, personal attention you deserve and are a million times better than the chain stores, which I tried. Plus, you are supporting downtown Hagerstown! For a small shop, they have a great selection of wedding gowns. Everyone is willing to help in any way they can! They are willing to help with everything from the wedding dress, choosing bridesmaids dresses, and even helping with the tuxes! The personal attention was the best, which every bride deserves for her day!

dresses so I could see what the finished look would look like. They gave me the option of having my sister help me get into the dress, which made me much more comfortable. I ended up with a beautiful Maggie Sottero dress. All their samples are well maintained and the staff was wonderful. The prices of their dresses were also very reasonable.

are very good at realizing what you do and do not like in a dress even if you don't know (in my case I would not like a dress but couldn't tell you why, and they figured it out). They also have a great selection of bridesmaid dresses and formal occasion dresses. My mom got her dress here as well and we couldn't have been happier with the whole experience.

helped as quickly as possible. The ladies all know their style and dresses and were able to pull dresses I had not picked. Rebecca picked out the dress I ended up choosing after just giving her a few details of what I was looking for. I ended up with a wedding dress and a reception dress because of the GREAT deal I got on the two combined. The men of our bridal party were also taken very good care of.

did not like a dress. They also gave me a few dresses above my budget without alerting me before I put it on.
The bathroom was very dirty and unwelcoming, as was the area where relatives and friends had to wait. I basically had to put on and take off the dresses myself. Towards the end of my visit the consultant became hostile and short-tempered when it was clear she was not going to make a sale.

did a great job helping me pick dresses to try on based on what I told her I had liked at previous stores. I bought a Maggie Sottero dress off the rack (just happened to be my size) - it cost hundreds of $$ less than it would have if I had ordered it in any other store. I also felt I spent less on this Maggie Sottero dress than I would have on any dress I liked at Davids Bridal.
I would definitely reccommend Potomac Bridals - try to go on a weekday (Saturdays are crowded as they are at any Bridal shop).
