I wish I could give more than 5 stars - Emily from Just A Little Ditty is an absolute angel. She is a calming presence when you need one. She is organized down to the very minute. ...
She is responsive, easy to work with, knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and just an overall good person. We would have been lost without her. The entire weekend went flawlessly because of her. I cannot recommend Emily and her team enough!!
Dickie has planned 2 weddings for me and all I can say is I wish we had more daughters! It was THE most enjoyable experience - within budget, exceeded our expectations in every cat...
egory! Dickie and her vendors are the Ultimate team!!! THE BEST!!!
I worked with Maureen at just a little ditty and from the very beginning she was calm, cool, organized and thorough. Our wedding day in June 2022 went off without a hitch and was m...
ore than we ever dreamed of. Maureen was a consistent communicator throughout the planning process, but also made sure to keep emails and calls to a minimum -- I didn't feel like wedding planning took over my life, but she and the JALD team really brought my dream to reality. In addition, it is clear that Maureen is a much loved and respected member of the Charlottesville community, along with the JALD business, and every vendor we worked with (whether organized through Maureen or on my own) spoke highly of her and was committed to excellence because of their relationship. I cannot recommend JALD enough and am so happy we worked with them for our magical wedding!

d is the queen of orchestrating products and events to be absolutely beautiful, memorable, and stunning. Dickie is so wonderful in communication- quick to respond and thorough. Our wedding day was perfect, but also filled with obstacles (rain and losing grandparents right before the ceremony just a few of them!). Dickie handled each obstacle with SUCH ease and poise. I, the bride, did not even catch wind of anything being wrong until after the wedding when fun stories were ebbing told! Dickie took our vision, ran with it and made it into the most gorgeous day in the world. She organized our rentals with such skill and has a great breadth of choice vendors that she works closely with. The rentals turned our reception into the most romantic boho time that we had dreamed of always! Dickie is an amazing choice for our wedding day, rehearsal dinner, and any event!!!! Recommend so highly!
I am so beyond glad that we went with Maureen and just a little ditty as our planner. Maureen was so helpful from step one and made things so easy with detailed suggestions on vend...
ors, budget, and all around advice. I had literally no idea how many things I needed to think about and Maureen was incredibly patient with all of my questions. She really knew exactly what would and wouldn’t work at the Clifton, and her understanding of the venue made planning so much easier. We had people telling us all day how wonderful the wedding was, and Maureen gets so much credit for how perfectly the day went. She made sure I didn’t know about any of the very minor issues at all during the wedding day and everything was executed exactly like I’d wanted. I cannot recommend just a little ditty and especially Maureen for your wedding!
We worked with Marilyn from the just a little ditty team and were so happy with our experience. Marilyn (and Dickie) helped us pick great vendors and think through all the details ...
we needed (and didn’t push us to focus on things we didn’t think were important). We wanted to plan a wedding that was beautiful and fun with a focus on our Jewish traditions and rituals. Marilyn worked with us so well to incorporate and accommodate these aspects into our celebration. She was a guide on the biggest and smallest questions and we would have been lost and overwhelmed without her.
The day of our wedding we felt so supported and taken care of by the just a little ditty team - it let us relax and have one of the best days of our lives, an experience we will always treasure.
Mark my words, you want to book Just a Little Ditty for your wedding! Maureen McKennah ensured we had the most seamless wedding from day one of planning all the way to the sparkler...
send-off. Maureen and Dickie are SO easy to work with, quick to respond to emails/calls, extremely organized, and offer a level of luxury and sophistication that made my wedding absolutely perfect and unique. They are hands down the best!
When Hurricane Joaquin threatened my daughter's outdoor wedding, we needed an ace event planner to save the day -- luckily, we had one, Maureen McKenna from Just a Little Ditty. S...
he marshaled the tents, the transportation, the umbrellas, and the thousands of tweaks to what we had planned (for example, how to get dry hors d'oevres out to Tent 2?). Despite the deluge -- and it was a deluge -- our friends tell us that my daughter's wedding was the most elegant they had ever attended. And it was all down to Maureen. She was so calm and well-prepared that we knew it would be so. Thank you Maureen!
