I knew she was the photographer I wanted on our special day. I just love looking through all her pictures. After we had our engagement photos, I was even more excited for our wedding day photography! She was a pleasure to work with and is so great at getting through requested pictures quickly. She's amazingly skilled, and easy and fun to work with, and I can't wait to see our wedding photos! Update: I realize Julie is probably constantly busy with weddings and other photo shoots, but she should still make communicating with current clients a priority. I was supposed to receive all of my wedding videos by 1/10/2016. That date has come and gone and not only have I not received them yet, but I haven't even heard from Julie to provide an update. I've raeched out to her and her assistant twice since that date, with no response. Even in the wedding planning stages, I had to repeatedly reach out to Julie to get a response. I don't regret having her as my photographer, and I consider myself lucky to have her photographs, but as a vendor in a customer service business (especially being involved in one of the most important days of people's lives!) communication and responsiveness should be a priority.

our photographer on your wedding day and it was really nice to work with someone that was so accommodating and really went out of her way to make sure the entire experience was positive. She is fun to be around, very easy going and calm but also knows when to take control of a situation to get the right photos. Not only is Julie a pleasure to work with, her photography skills are really top notch. She is very creative and she got some of the most amazing shots. It rained during our wedding and Julie was a star and stood out in the pouring rain while we stood under an awning so she could get just the right lighting. She is certainly dedicated to her craft. All in all, Julie was a fantastic photographer and I would highly recommend her. She makes everyone feel comfortable and she really seems like she is having a good time and enjoys what she's doing. We were very happy that we chose to work with her for our wedding and will certainly work with her again.

My husband and I had a long engagement, which Julie took advantage of by suggesting we do our engagement photos around the same time of the year and day as our wedding in order to better predict where the sun would be. It made for some really beautiful engagement pictures and helped us choose a time for the wedding. Julie is very organized with a calm yet authoritative manner that gets the job done without being bossy or overbearing. With my boudoir session Julie was professional and fun which made really comfortable. All our pictures turned out AMAZING, I highly recommend Julie Napear as a photographer and would use her again in the future!

acular. What we didn't know was that we would get so much more. Julie is well connected in town and was able to refer us to several other high quality vendors. She attended our tasting with us at the venue and gave us great suggestions for logistics (i.e. how to seat the guests, where to enter from, how to set up tables, color schemes, etc). Her professionalism and skill was noticed by everyone who attended. Our family members called us after the wedding just to tell us how appreciative they were of her getting our family portraits done quickly and in a very organized way. She has a true gift for telling people what to do/how to do it/when to do it, while still keeping things fun, comfortable and making everyone feel at ease. Her knowledge and skills go far beyond that of photography. Not only did she capture some beautiful moments and emotions in photos during our event, but she was integral part of planning one of the best days of our lives so far. I don't know what we would have done without her and I'm very glad that we didn't have to find out. ing is that I would have asked her to stay for longer to catch more of the reception shots, but that was my lack of planning. Julie was friendly and definitely willing to roll with the punches. When we needed extra time for certain things, she was incredibly flexible. She surprised us by taking a group shot with the entire guestlist - something my wife had mentioned only in passing when she'd seen it in an example book. The attention to detail was refreshing. During the ceremony and reception, Julie did a fantastic job staying beyond the scenes yet somehow capturing all of our important moments. I barely noticed she was there, but she came away with photos of EVERYTHING! Somehow she took a mind-boggling 1250 photos in 6 hours. The combination of value and quality made Julie the perfect choice for us. As an added and appreciated bonus, Julie provides a DVD of all the digital images, which will save us thousands when compared to some wedding photographers who make you purchase prints from them. he is so non-intrusive, I didn't even see her taking some of the shots! She had done my boudoir session 2 years ago and it was tons of fun so I knew I wanted her for my wedding!

Since I hated snow, I thought having it at my wedding would be the worst thing that would happen, but Julie took full advantage of that lemon and made it into the most amazing lemonade. but of the guests and the reception too! She has an incredible skill of capturing the spirit and mood of the day and the photos she leaves you allow you to relive it over and over again. I won't lie, I actually based our wedding date off of Julie's availability. I knew she booked up fast so as soon as we got engaged, I called her and asked when she was available over the next year and went from there. She is so easy to work with and let's you know all of your options as far as engagement photos, bridal shoots, albums, etc goes from the very beginning. She also was very understanding about the fact that my husband/then fiance does not like having his picture taking and did not want engagement photos done. This meant that the first time she photographed us was at our wedding and it didn't make a difference at all- she still managed to get the best pictures of everyone! She moves quickly, doesn't let weather get in the way (it poured rain all day before the ceremony and she had to stand underneath an umbrella for the start of our pictures), and is great at getting you to feel comfortable in front of the camera. All of her photos from the more traditional portraits, the candid shots, to the unique, artistic ones she'll take are beautiful. Bottom line is: hire her, she's the best!!!

Besides the quality of the pictures that she takes, her service is impeccable. My wedding was on Saturday, November 3rd and my wedding pictures were posted online by Tuesday, November 6th! I've NEVER heard of that happening with professional wedding photos. Julie is also very receptive to my emails, questions and thoughts for my wedding photos. She always had a quick response to any emails or phone calls, and when I made a list of photos i want to take at the wedding, she made sure that every single one was completed within the time frame we were allotted. Then she did some on her own that were probably better than the ones i suggested! Using a single photographer and assistant instead of one of the larger companies was a huge plus because of the exceptional service she provided -- she made me feel like I was her only bride in the world (which we all know is a plus too)! If you're in the Northern Virginia or Shenandoah area, absolutely use Julie Napear Photography - you will love it!

At first, I was nervous because there are a lot of photographers in the DC area and I had meetings with 2 of them - and it was a waste of time. I found Julie by chance through the preferred vendors list from our venue - and had a phone interview with her since we were planning our wedding from Florida. I went on her website and was blown away by her galleries. We decided to contract her services immediately. We are thrilled! I HIGHLY recommend her services. She was a part of our special day and caught the most tender moments. She mingled with the guests and wedding party easily and was not obtrusive. I kept looking through the photos saying – where was she? How did she capture that moment? I had no problems getting in touch with her via phone or e-mail.
