We chose to look at this venue because we thought the historical value to Omaha, NE was really cool (history buffs) and we just fell in love with the building - it is so beautiful!...
We had the ceremony and reception held here, and the staff was amazing. They set up tables and chairs (included in the rental costs) and they contract with caterers, which means they work closely with the caterer to make sure everything is right! We had some issues with our florist, and Sherri (castle representative) called them to get things figured out - a weight off of our shoulders! my MoH worked with Sherri to get all of the little things such as table signs, favors, etc. set up. The employees also flipped the room that we used for the ceremony (they set it up with chairs before the ceremony) so that the dance floor could be used right after.
Sherri and a few volunteers (they would give tours to guests who wanted them) were present the whole time, and were very kind to our guests, answering questions, etc.
Highly recommended!
This was a great experience. During the planning they had a change in staff and even with that the whole experience was very smooth. The Castle itself is a beautiful place to hol...

I had both my ceremony and reception here and everyone told me it was one of the most elegant weddings they had been to. The pictures were beautiful. Jo (the event coordinator at t...
he Castle) was so helpful and helped organize everything. I would recommended this place to anyone!
Our wedding took place on New Years Eve so a majority of the Christmas decorations were still up. I love Christmas, and have seen summer weddings outside at the castle as well - b...
ut the beauty of the castle, the unique location and the tours available for guests at no extra charge was gorgeous! Our wedding reception was fairly small, 140 guests, and we served a plated dinner. It was the perfect size to get people to dance, mingle and celebrate! Any more people and they wouldve had to sit upstairs for dinner - we did not want that. I believe the wedding ceremony inside only holds about 40 guests, which wasnt enough for us. The one thing that would have made it run more smoothly is if they had some type of speaker system set up into the different rooms. We had to have someone go into each room to make sure people knew when different things were going on such as the 1st dance, cake cutting, etc... We have had MANY people talk about how beautiful the castle and wedding reception was.
Joslyn Castle is the perfect place for a romantic outdoor ceremony! We had the reception here too, inside the Castle. Our guests really enjoyed this unique venue!
I absolutely LOVED it! It was so beautifully landscaped that I had no need for extra flowers or decorations. The Castle itself was such a gorgeous backdrop during the ceremony. Our...
