Josie Brooks photography, LLC

ed she was available for my date. I was so obsessed with the way she captured weddings and I couldn't imagine my wedding without her capturing it! And she did it perfectly! She captured it just as I had imagined, with lived in moments and a natural vibe. We are truly over the moon happy with our photos, we could not recommend her enough. She is incredibly talented and a pleasure to work with both leading up to our wedding and on the day of. Really hope to work with her again because she is that good!

s using film, polaroid and digital cameras. I have nothing but good things to say and I would definitely recommend her!

and one look through her portfolio and I was sold. She was one of the first vendors we booked! Not only is she extremely talented, but from start to finish, Josie was so personable, attentive, such a joy to interact with and such a hard worker. She does not stop until she gets THE shots (even in the freezing cold NY weather!). She traveled to Long Island twice for us, once for engagement photos and then for our wedding. We received endless compliments on our engagement photos and people couldn't wait to see what magic she would create on our wedding day! Me too!! I trusted her completely to work her magic and be her creative self and of course she did not disappoint. She truly is a DREAM photographer and person to work with. So incredibly grateful she was there to capture our day! The BEST decision!!! I could not recommend her enough!!

She was attentive, caring, organized, and completely understood our vision. The wedding day ran so smoothly with Josie there and she blew us away with how well she captured our day. Receiving our gallery was the second best day to our wedding because it allowed us to relive the day all over again. From the behind the scenes photos, to first look, to reception, you can literally feel our wedding from the photos. Josie is truly a master at her craft and I cannot recommend her more– whether you’re near to her or far (like us from NY), book her!

ren. Josie was professional and communicative from the very beginning. She is organized in the business side and provided so many helpful tips and resources in preparation for the big day. Our engagement shoot was more than we could have ever imagined and got us so excited for the wedding. When the big day came, Josie OWNED it. The photographer is the vendor you spend the most time with and can make or break the day. Josie kept us calm and excited, acting like the true professional she is. When we got the sneak peaks back, I was BLOWN AWAY. She captured so many candid and special moments with an artistic eye that I feel like is often overlooked in the wedding industry. Nothing looks staged or posed but we’ve never looked better! The turnaround time for the full gallery was also quite less than quoted with so many more photos than expected. I was overwhelmed with the quality and number of photos, seemingly each better than the last. I HIGHLY recommend the film add on. Having Polaroids at the end of the night was so special and awaiting the rolls to come back is such a fun process. The vintage and candid elements of those photos are some of my favorites. Josie is highly sought after for a reason – she over delivered and was one of the best decisions we could have made! We love you, Josie!

ay ever... selecting Josie to capture our favorite moments / people / day was the best and easiest decision of the wedding process. She is beyond talented and her work brings pure joy. The gratitude we have for perfectly and skillfully capturing these memories is overwhelming! I also admire how personable, organized, and professional she remains throughout the entire process. I loved the level of trust I felt in her throughout the day - we all are aware of how insane a wedding day must be but she was beyond helpful. I will and am recommending her time and time again: Josie is evidently skilled, but she is all around a wonderful woman and working with her in the wedding process / day was quite literally a dream! Thank you, thank you, thank you Josie!

rial. I feel so lucky to have been able to work with her twice before our wedding day (best engagement photos ever!). Josie is incredibly helpful and thorough in the planning prior to a shoot or wedding day. She went above and beyond to make sure we got all the shots we wanted, and the photos came out better than I could have imagined!! The memories she was able to capture on our wedding day are invaluable to us. Josie’s talent, kind nature, and genuine care for her couples make her a standout, and I would recommend her to absolutely any bride!!

. I spent days looking for the right venue and photographer. I came across Josie's art and I knew I had to have her take the photos. Josie made the whole entire process seamless. We kept in contact regarding outfits, venue, and accessories. She helped me pick out my dress and made us feel comfortable during the session. My fiancé and I am truly so grateful for her. The photos turned out better than we could have ever imagined. The photos are so intimate and unique. We are so in love with the photos that we are speechless. Words cannot describe how beautiful the photos turned out. If you are considering working with Josie. Please do. You will not regret it.

n wedding day, she exceeded all of our expectations! She is truly passionate about what she does and made our wedding day 100x better (and stress free)! She brought so much fun and happiness to our wedding day and always made us feel comfortable in front of the camera! Our photos are everything we could have asked for and more - we can't thank her enough and highly recommend booking her!! You will not be disappointed! <3

ded by our venue and are so grateful we chose her to capture our day. We already have friends who are hoping to book her when it comes to their time to get married.

throughout the entire process and her passion for photography shines through in her photographs. The end products are literally stunning. My husband and I felt so comfortable in front of the camera. It never felt awkward or “posey.” Family and friends were raving about our pictures. Josie has a true gift and we are so blessed we were able to experience it first hand!

k with us again! Through our engagement shoot up to the wedding she surpasses all expectations! Her attention to detail is unmatched. Looking through our wedding photos there’s not one moment she didn’t capture, even when we didn’t realize she was even taking pictures! So in love with our photos and we are forever grateful for her being a part of such big moments in our life! She is a beautiful person inside and out and it’s been a pleasure getting to know her more! She is like family now! So excited to see her art continue to grow!

oing for on my wedding day. She also reminded me of the importance of classic portraits that would age well. The day of the wedding I was so thankful to have a photographer that was knowledgeable, flexible, and most of all, friendly. It made the groom and I feel at ease in front of the camera and we felt that it really showed in our sneak peak photos, which have already gotten many compliments. Josie captured even the smallest moments of our special day and we cannot wait to see the rest of our gallery!

arrow down, but if I had to list the best parts of working with Josie, they would be: - Artistic vision and sense of fashion. Josie isn't just a photographer, she is truly an artist. She's not someone will just snap pictures on your big day. She's someone that will ensure you have beautiful, timeless moments captured. I relied very heavily on her to influence the day bc I had 100% confidence that her vision would be flawless - Extra advice/support Josie just went BEYOND to help me narrow down what I wanted the day to look at feel like. She helped curate mood boards and would sent me insta/pinterest links to help me discover options for what the day could look/feel like, and then helped me narrow that down. - Responsiveness I never had to wait for a response from Josie. She always got back to me very quickly and if she was traveling, would sent me a quick note to let me know she's follow up soon. Her communication skills are incredible. - Overall just a genuine, amazing person. This should really be listed as #1. What I realized through the planning process is there are people who you hired who show up and do the work. Then there are people like Josie who not only show up but also constantly make you feel like they really care. We'll be rescheduling Sept '22 wedding due to Ian and Josie was one of the few people to reach out and check in after it was all said and done to make sure we were doing okay. She's just the best!

nailed every look we wanted!! She has a very kind and calm demeanor which helped us relax and have fun. We LOVE our photos and will definitely be keeping Josie in mind for future shoots!! She's the best!!

relaxing experience for me and my fiancé. Once we received our photos back, we were so happy with them!!! Thank you Josie!!

eye for amazing photos and if you put your trust in her she will deliver! She’s very involved in the whole process and is available to answer any questions you may have. 100/10 definitely recommend!

true professional with quality work. She goes above and beyond to ensure your pictures turn out perfect. From the start, she listened and guided us with information not only for our incredible photos, but the whole wedding planning process. She formed a genuine relationship with us and was there anytime we needed help or advice. The day of our wedding went beyond smoothly thanks to Josie and her precise planning, commitment, and expertise when it came to not only our photos, but managing our group photos (wedding party and family photos). She makes everyone feel comfortable and confident! From planning to day of, Josie ensured that everything would run smoothly and she BEYOND exceeded our expectations. Josie feels like a true member of our family after our wedding day and we would 100% go to her again for additional photos in the future. You will not regret having Josie as your photographer!

fident in the photos my husband and I were taking. She really is the sweetest and the photos are amazing. I am so glad she captured my day. You will not regret going with Josie, seriously!! 🤍

them. The pictures are FABULOUS. Seriously not a single bad one. I recommend her every day … all day!!!! Trust me you will love her 🤍

ore. We did our engagements with her and the whole shoot was wonderful. She made both of us feel extremely comfortable and didn’t force anything. For the wedding, everything was extremely organized and she was on her game the whole day. Not a single thing to complain about during any part of the process. Josie was able to get our photos to us for both the engagement and wedding very quickly, they all turned out amazing! Josie is worth absolutely every penny and we would recommend her to any wedding couple who wants an extremely high quality photographer for their wedding. 100/10!

ortfolio is someone's personality and Josie has a heart of gold. From the beginning, Josie has been an absolute pleasure to work with. I told her what budget I was working with and she was able to build a package that worked out perfectly for what I was looking for. Josie then followed me on Instagram which allowed us to interact with each other more, making me feel even more comfortable with her. I know that following me on Instagram seems like a silly thing to mention, but it made me feel really seen and allowed me to get to know her on a personal level. Josie was so organized and articulate - which made my type-A heart sing with joy. We worked together on a timeline for the images and had several conversations where she really listened to what I wanted and the vision I was looking for. The week of my wedding comes and we find out that it's going to rain on my wedding day - my venue is entirely outside. I vented to Josie on the phone about my concerns and woes about the wedding in general and she assured me that she will rock it no matter what. The day of the wedding comes and the weather is a full-blown tropical storm. Our timeline went completely out the door and the ability to take pictures was stricken to almost non-existent. My fiancé and I were unable to really get any couples formals. My bridal party got maybe 1-3 group pictures. Problems upon problems began to pile up - when I tell you that nothing went right on the day of my wedding, I mean NOTHING. After the ceremony, my now husband and I booked it to our suite to escape everyone and everything. I cried in order to destress. Josie and the Bahia team came in shortly after and out of the kindness of their hearts offered to reshoot my couple formals on the following Sunday because the weather was so bad. I began to immediately cry again out of happiness. Josie and the Bahia team did the best that they could to make the remainder of my day special, given all the obstacles and issues we encountered. Sunday came and we met up to retake the images. I haven't even seen the images yet and I can already tell you they are beautiful. They made us feel so confident and amazing. I could cry thinking about how much this team really went ABOVE and BEYOND for me. There's no amount of words to explain how grateful I am to them. If you want a photographer that genuinely cares about you, Josie is your girl.

impressed with her talent. I'll let the photos speak for themselves, but here's what you won't see from the pictures: She makes you feel so comfortable in front of the camera, she guides you every step of the way. She was also very accommodating and understanding during several adjustments due to Covid. She was true to her word and made it very easy to work with her. I have endless great things to say about her, but mostly, just want to tell her "Thank you" for capturing 2 major life events as beautifully as she did.

fore the wedding we sat down and went through the whole timeline of the wedding day to make sure she could get all the shots I wanted! I would recommend Josie to anyone and her 2nd photographer Luis!! Will be hiring her again for family pictures down the road♥️

nd, genuine, ensures you are comfortable and having a good time, looks after you during sessions to either fix your hair or your outfits etc., she open to YOUR ideas and visions, she’s open to creativity and new places, and just down right a one in a million soul. If 5 stars everywhere you look isn’t enough to email her, I hope this review helps you pull that trigger because she is it. ♥️

ave experienced that), she literally is with you every step of the way, which I appreciated and honestly needed. Besides being welcoming, attentive, and just awesome, she is also insanely talented. I wanted a photographer that would capture our day authentically, but also not afraid to tell us what looks good – and that is Josie! If you’re looking for someone that knows what they are doing, will share tips that will maximize your photography experience, will get soaked to get you that wedding day shot, and happens to be one of the nicest people in the world, then please book Josie. Josie, know that Will and I absolutely love your work and our so appreciative of all that you did to capture our wedding day (even with rain and all). Thank you!!!

he engagement shoot and wedding but you work never know Bc the photos are literally GOLD, she is a photographer, artist, director, friend and so much more, I will be using her for all of my future photo shoot needs :)

ealing with wedding vendors) any question or concern I had was answered almost immediately! The engagement shoot was so fun and she helped even the most reluctant man of mine to feel comfortable and have fun by the time we were through. Being a COVID Bride was not something I envisioned for my "Big Day" but Josie was there for it! She was all in when I thought my dream wedding might have to be postponed and even helped me come up with really fun ideas for an alternative idea, she even suggested wardrobe ideas for my girls and I to wear. Pretty above and beyond for a wedding photographer if I do say so myself! THANKFULLY the wedding of my dreams was able to take place on our original date, and with all of our original vendors. Josie completely takes charge of your day and makes it all run effortlessly, even with a rowdy bridal party! My pictures are absolutely gorgeous!! I've never felt more beautiful than I did that day and I'm so grateful I hired Josie to capture it all! She's more than just a photographer she really becomes your friend! I can't wait to book another shoot with her for the next chapter in our lives!

xible with us and we were able to reschedule just three days later. Josie welcomed our request to bring our dogs for some of the photos and got beautiful shots despite them being a little crazy. :) She had never shot at our location before and even went through the trouble of visiting the location before our shoot so she could familiarize herself. Josie's natural and relaxed artistic style is what drew us to her. She was awesome at coaching us and giving us direction so we felt immediately at ease. We are absolutely THRILLED with our sneak peeks and can't wait to see our full album! Everyone who has seen our photos gushes over how lovely they are. Thank you, Josie!!

ng. There were no awkward moments or poses and we had so much fun while taking pictures. Her aesthetic is incredible and booking her was one of he best decisions I made for my wedding.

was so warm, kind, professional, organized, and she knew her stuff. She's extremely detail-oriented and is incredibly talented. For both our engagement and wedding albums, her main priority was making sure that we were 100% comfortable and able to show and express our love and true selves through the photos. Taking photos with Josie is like hanging out with a friend, she is so genuine and ensured that we had a blast while capturing our precious moments. Mary was also extremely wonderful to work with. With Josie and Mary working together, expect some breathtaking shots. I can't express the admiration that I have for her and our love for the gorgeous albums that she has given us. I am overjoyed and so grateful that Josie was able to capture beautiful memories that we will cherish forever. I hope and look forward to being able to work with her in the future for anniversary shots! Thank you Josie!!!

ement photos with her (because we got them while visiting another state), so I was a little concerned about whether or not we would work well with her on the day of the wedding. But my concerns quickly melted away. My husband & I aren't super comfortable with a camera pointed at us, but she made us feel very at ease. The day after our wedding, I got our sneak preview album in my e-mail inbox, and I was so thrilled with how they came out. She is so amazing at what she does. THANKS, Josie!

ing memories of such a special moment. I couldn’t imagine having anyone else share our journey with us. Please hire her for your photographer, you definitely won’t regret it!!

togenic you might feel (and who doesn't have those moments?). There is such an ease about the way she shoots and she is so chill and flexible. She finds a way to make you feel comfortable and tries to capture who you are. She did our engagement shoot and then also our wedding. We just got a sneak peak the other day of our wedding photos (another bonus, she is super efficient!), and are already in looove. Josie is not only a talented photographer, but just an all around good person. She cares about your well-being and asks after you. We lucked out finding her, and now want to spread the word on how amazing and magical she is. She was one of our best hires. Book her for anything and everything - you know you'll be in good hands!

g you at ease and telling you how to pose. I was very impressed with her wedding day timeline and how she helped us stay right on schedule. Our day went so stress free and smoothly! Josie also makes sure to capture every moment that is important to you. She is very detail oriented! We are soooo thankful to have so many special moments beautifully captured by Josie. We can’t wait to use her again for anniversary photos in the future :)

as she is so friendly and easy to work with, very professional, and is always available to answer questions. Although my wedding is now over, I'm looking for another reason to have her shoot for me again, hopefully in the near future! Thank you so much, Josie!!

She did a fantastic job capturing the moment and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for an experienced photographer.

onality to come out through the photos. We recently gifted my brother and sister in law engagement photos with Josie, and they also turned out perfect! Josie is professional, a perfectionist, punctual, and is very timely with getting edited proofs back to you! Our family will continue to choose Josie to capture our special moments. Highly recommend!

ding and it was because she was trying to catch all those in between moments! I absolutely love my wedding photos! I received them last week and haven’t posted any of them because I just want them all to myself for a minute. I was on a fixed budget going into this wedding, as I am sure many of you are.. & she worked with me, with no judgement. Her work ethic shines and that is what you want. After your wedding, you’re gonna want her to capture first Christmas, first baby pics, etc. well, at least this is how I feel. 🤷🏻‍♀️ In short, she’s great! Stop looking and go with this gem 👌🏼🥰❤️

e pleased with her work! Having her there to document our day is the best decision we made! Josie was excellent at directing our large party and despite the chaos of the day she found sweet quiet moments to capture the essence of our joy! For anyone considering hiring her for your Big Day, looking for a recommendation, know we would choose her over and over again!

apturing ones personality- this goes for both couples and individual shoots which is what I had. She has a great sense of humor and it helps ease the tension which leads to her work seeming so effortless and stunning all in one. If you're looking for a photographer whether it be for couples, families etc- look no further Josie is an absolute joy of a person and make the process so easy- her personality is just as amazing as work, it's as if you're having a best friend take pictures of you. I'm beyond glad I chose Josie and will undoubtedly keep doing so!

e happier with the results. Josie is extremely professional, talented, kind, and hardworking. She made us feel so comfortable and at ease during our session and really made our love for each other the #1 focus. Her style is impeccable and she knows exactly what works and what doesn’t. We are so thrilled to have her as our photographer for our upcoming wedding. I can’t wait for the big day and I know that Josie is the perfect person to capture all of the moments that we will cherish forever.

She made each experience comfortable and fun, she's a total doll, and she gives TONS of information to help you prepare for a successful shoot. She has so much information to help the overwhelmed bride, from vendor selections to locations for the engagement shoot. She was also the most communicative person I dealt with for the entire wedding, which is a huge plus for me! Josie also brought Mary as the second photographer to shoot our wedding and both were a great addition to the atmosphere and took fantastic photos. Some of the little things that make Josie so great are that she helped me find an amazing hair & makeup artist (who came through clutch), she helped a friend order a print of one of our engagement photos as a surprise gift, and when she noticed the venue hadn't turned on the AC in the grooms "suite" the sweltering day of our wedding, she turned it on so it would cool before he got there. We plan on hiring Josie for every major event we want to photograph in the future, and my family loved our photos so much that they've all asked me for her info for their own photos in the future!

d sent her a message on her website. She was quick to respond and was very professional with arranging the photos and all the details. She really pays attention to detail like no other photographer I have met! She made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera as well. After we shot, she sent us a sneak peek of the photos that next day! I posted the sneak peek on social media and had numerous people asking who shot it and that they would like to get in touch with Josie when they vacation in Florida. Our pictures are phenomenal!! We’re very satisfied. Thanks Josie

e details, even the ones you never thought existed! She makes you and your partner the number one priority! She was my number one absolute priority to have at my wedding, because her work is seriously that good! When she did our engagements, all she told us was “I’m only here to capture the love, you guys just be yourself”, and HOLY COW, she made it so comfortable for us both, the photos were above and beyond what I could have imagined! Josie is very professional and absolutely knows what she is doing. BOOK HER NOW!
