Jon Montis Photography is a boutique, family owned and operated wedding photography small business with a team of talented, professional wedding photographers led by creative owner Jon Montis. Along with editing and tech support from daughter Hannah, JMP is able to keep pricing reasonable while still providing a full slate of services. Unlike many of the photography companies on the knot, we do not outsource editing, or communication. Everything is managed by us, creating a more personal custom experience for couples who are gracious enough to choose us to capture their special day. Our team utilizes decades of experience, artistic techniques and the best equipment, to tell the amazing story of your wedding day. We will make your wedding photography experience fun, beautiful, and effortless, so that you can enjoy one of the biggest events of your life. We will capture every moment, every memory, with our artistry and creativity, for you to cherish forever. Whether your wedding is 2 people or 400, whether you need one photographer or an entire team, we will treat your wedding with the attention and enthusiasm every wedding deserves.

Since 2008, we have wowed couples with our photojournalistic, fine-art style and dedication to customer service. Our packages are reasonable, simple and fully customizable. There are no added fees or taxes, wedding photography starts as low as $995, and larger packages are available. ing for a wedding photographer in the Tampa (& surrounding) areas.
We booked with Jon back in September of 2023 for our October 2024 wedding. Unfortunately, three weeks to the date, Hurricane Helene destroyed our wedding venue. This resulted in the VENUE canceling our wedding. Jon has been nothing but difficult to work with regarding this situation & the contract we have with him. His contract CLEARLY states in Section 3: "All other payments made are refundable upon client providing proof of the
wedding cancellation from wedding venue or contracted event planner." We sent Jon a screenshot from our wedding venue refunding us our money due to the hurricane to showcase that the VENUE was the reason for our cancellation, as this clearly was not our (the client's) choice. Jon telling his clients the reason for no refunds is due to the cancellation being within 30 days of the event is invalid as his contract states point blank that payments are nonrefundable only if the CLIENT is to cancel the event.
We have tried to call & email Jon numerous times with no luck with him answering. My fiancé & I are extremely understanding & understand that Hurricane Helene impacted not only us but our wedding vendors as well. With that being said, we expect a certain level of professionalism and consideration from the vendors we are giving our money to & Jon has not showcased that or honored the terms of his contract.
