About this vendor
Right after the ceremony, there’s this moment. You can see the stress of wedding planning disappear from the couple’s face and they can just relax and enjoy the day with their family and friends. I love this moment, but I love it even more when this feeling of relaxation and unwinding can be extended throughout your whole day. This is what I give to all my couples: a calmness and an easygoing vibe that’s contagious.
I want your wedding day to be one gratifying moment to the next. I have a hands on approach, guiding and encouraging when needed and then I step back to be a witness when the moment feels right. I also work alongside you or your planner to create a custom photo timeline so you know what to expect and you can get all the photos you want.
I pride myself on being flexible, calm and collected no matter what’s thrown at me. I suggest poses to get the best and most natural photos from you. My focus is on letting you do you as you enjoy the best day of your life eating all the cake you want while I create the balance between setting the stage and capturing candids. You live in the moment so you’ll be able to relive those memories through photographs for years to come.

the Black Hills. We reached out to John after seeing his excellent samples from his website and getting a few strong recommendations from friends. He was willing to make the trip to the Black Hills for our maternity shoot. He was focused and flexible -- especially given that we asked him to hike up a (small) mountain in 90 degree heat -- throughout the session. Calm and casual, John easily pulled emotive moments of drama and joy from each of us, even the dog! He captured the light and natural beauty of the place and made us look our best without being pushy or demanding. John delivered a fantastic portfolio of shots in less than 24 hours, all for an extraordinarily good price. It was, hands down, the best experience we've ever had with any photographer. In fact, by the end of the experience, we felt like we'd known John for 25 years!

hn took our awkwardness in stride and ended up capturing fantastic photos. We loved that he didn't just do pose after pose but also let us be more natural and candid. The photos felt genuine to us and our relationship. He even looked up different engagement session locations to find one that we felt represented us more as a couple. Apart from that John is punctual, professional, and the turn around for our engagement photos were unbelievably fast. We love how our engagement photos turned out and know the day of photos will be just as fantastic. Seriously, if you're looking for a photographer at a great price who goes above and beyond John is your guy.

say the least he did not disappoint at all. He captured our day stunningly! We are so grateful for him. He was attentive, patient, and helped us get things moving when they needed to be. His communication with our videographer was outstanding. We got so many comments from our guests about how nice and kind John was to everybody and they were all highly impressed with his overall attitude. I give nothing but high praise to his work, professionalism and his willingness to go above and beyond for his clients. We were so lucky to have him shooting our wedding and I would recommend him to any and everyone! I have already told the event coordinator and staff at my venue to recommend him to all of their clients. He definitely does not disappoint. Thank you.

uestions. He was helpful and told us exactly what he would need from us and when he needed it to ensure our photos were as good as possible. John knows Omaha well and took us to some nice spots to capture the feel of the city. He was also very flexible about taking any other pictures that we wanted. It was both convenient and a luxury to have the same photographer for our engagement and wedding photos – communicating with the same person makes the process that much easier. John is not only quick to respond but his turnaround time for having the event photos ready to download is really fast. Our wedding pictures were ready just a few days after the event! If you’re concerned about a high guest count, John knows his limits. He will bring someone to help take more photos if he thinks it’s necessary. John is friendly, easy to work with, and most importantly takes great photographs!
I love that you captured their relationship -- simple, sweet, fun and in love!

ers in other weddings we’ve been to he doesn’t get in peoples faces to take pictures or anything that would be considered annoying. When we got our photos we couldn’t believe how many amazing photos there were and it made us smile ear to ear. We also couldn’t believe at the amount of close up shots he got while not being all up in other people’s faces or interrupting anyone. Perfect photographer for us. Thanks again, John!

Updating this review now that we have gotten pictures back from our NYE wedding:
Throughout the entire process, communicating with John was effortless. I never had to wait long for a response whether it was over email or text. And the pictures that he took for our wedding were phenomenal! He took beautiful detail pictures of the bouquets, rings, and my dress, and the pictures of our first look and the wedding party were amazing. And when he wasn't taking posed pictures of us, he was going around the reception hall catching candid shots of our friends and family. He really knows how to catch the atmosphere of the party!
I will definitely be keeping John at the top of my list for future family photos!

rly knows what he is doing. The coloring in his photos is beautiful and his pricing is the most reasonable we could find for gorgeous quality. It took him three days to send us our pictures. Three days! He even kept us updated by sending us photos as he was editing them. I'm blown away. We're really looking forward to our wedding photos next July! :)
After our wedding: John was the best choice for our wedding. He was flexible when not everything went according to plan, calm and collected, and he made sure we got the shots we wanted. Thank you, John!
