About this vendor
Jim Trice Photography is a professional wedding photographer based in Charlotte, NC. His pictures reflect the joyful emotions shared between couples on their special day. Jim serves couples in the Charlotte area but has a love of travel that brings him to destination weddings all over the world. His work has been featured in publications like Style Me Pretty, Brides, and Southern Weddings.
Jim has always maintained an active role in the arts. Before becoming a photographer, he played drums in a band. He picked up the camera while on tour and quickly discovered his passion. Since then, he has accumulated 10 years of experience behind the lens. Jim’s photos are inspired by romance and new adventures.
Jim’s style is timeless and sophisticated. He believes that every photo tells a story and aims to give you a visual representation of the story of your wedding day. Each picture is carefully captured, playing on the light and environment to preserve every treasured moment.
As Jim offers couples his undivided attention on their wedding day and in the weeks leading up to it, he takes a limited number of bookings each year. He works closely with couples to coordinate a timeline and ensure he snaps all of their desired shots. Collections can be customized based on clients’ needs, and a range of photography items can be ordered. Jim is also available for portraits including engagement, boudoir, and trash-the-dress sessions.

We loved working with Jim from start to finish! He kept us calm the whole day - and helped organize our group perfectly even amid some pivots we needed to make with the weather. Th...
ank you for capturing our special day (at 3 different locations!)
Jim is incredible. His photos are beautiful and he's so personable and great at giving direction to ensure the pictures turn out perfect. I kept hearing all my bridesmaids comment ...
about how much they loved working with him! Jim did both our engagement photos and wedding pictures. One of the reasons we choose him ( aside from how gorgeous his pictures looked online) was that he's willing to travel. Jim flew out to California to take our engagement photos on Carmel where we got engaged. I can't even accurately describe how beautiful they came out! Jim was by far one of the BEST parts of our vendor team and I wish I could give him 100 stars instead of 5!
We booked Jim for our engagement photos last year, and we loved him so much we HAD to have him on our wedding day! My husband and I loved Jim right from the start; he's laid back b...

e has an amazing eye and captures so many unique shots that most people dont even think about. You can truly see the emotions of the subjects in the pictures. My bridesmaids and I were running pretty late on the wedding day and he easily rolled with it and adjusted his schedule to make sure he got all the shots we wanted. We just got our wedding pictures back and I am absolutely in love. I cant stop looking through them and have so many favorites! I would definitely recommend Jim to any new bride and grooms! Thanks for capturing the biggest day of our lives Jim!
I would highly recommend Jim Trice Photography. Jim shot our wedding and the photos are perfect. Jim is not only very talented as a photographer, but he was also great to work with...
from a business perspective as well. He is prompt, detail-oriented, flexible and thoughtful. A lot of his packages included Engagement Photos which we didn't need, so he came and shot our Rehearsal Dinner instead. Jim was great with keeping everyone on schedule the day of, yet keeping the photo shoots light and fun. He was never "in the way" during the ceremony/reception, yet captured all the perfect images. He was creative with the shots he selected, both of people and of all the wedding details we'll be so glad to have preserved in photos. We will absolutely use Jim again in the future!
Our wedding photos were absolutely beautiful, as were our engagement photos. The detailing and lighting made for such stunning photos. None of us knew that we couldn't take pictu...
res at our desired location without a permit but Jim was able to find another location on the spot and our photos turned out even better at our alternate location.
