With more than 16 years of professional experience photographing weddings, portraits, events, and real people in unpredictable environments, Jess brings equal parts artistry, technical expertise, intuition, and calm to a wedding day. She knows when to direct, when to troubleshoot, when to disappear into the background—and when something meaningful is about to happen.
Her work lives somewhere between clean and timeless, cinematic and gritty, polished, whimsical and beautifully imperfect. You’ll get the photographs your family will want framed, but Jess is just as interested in the moments that happen between them: belly laughs, windblown hair, nervous hands, happy tears, grandparents watching quietly from across the room, the flower girl under the table, and the point on the dance floor when everyone forgets there’s a camera nearby.
The goal isn’t to turn your wedding into a photoshoot. It’s to let you actually experience it.
Jess offers thoughtful guidance when you need it, from timeline planning and family portraits to finding beautiful light in less-than-beautiful locations. When something runs late, the weather changes, or plans shift—as wedding days tend to do—she adjusts without making the photography feel like another thing you need to manage.
Her approach is best suited for couples who care deeply about their people, want photographs with personality, and aren’t looking for a gallery that feels overly posed or like everyone else’s. Couples who want the beautiful portrait and the blurry dance-floor chaos. The big moments and the nearly missed ones. Photographs that still feel like them years from now.
Wedding coverage is available in 3, 6, and 9-hour collections, with options for customization, second photographers, social-first content creation, expedited gallery delivery, story reels, engagement sessions, and heirloom albums.
Based in Upstate NY and always willing to travel.
Come as you are. Live the day fully.
Jess will have you remembering it all.

As someone who is not comfortable at all in front of the camera, Jess could not have made it easier! She put us both at ease, made us laugh and the entire experience was incredibly...
enjoyable. She also was familiar with our venue and had great ideas for unique photos that are the typical stuffy bride and groom shots. Once the celebration had started she also did a phenomenal job capturing all of the important people who we wanted casual photos with. To this end, the process before our wedding was also seamless-- we were able to coordinate everything remotely and Jess arrived day of with printed lists of the names of family and friends as well as group shots that we desired. She even made a large group photo with over 15 people happen! I can't recommend her enough. She was fun, her vision is unique and she was incredibly professional. We are so grateful for all of our photos! Thank you!
We cannot recommend Jess enough! From the very beginning, she was such a joy to work with. Communication was always clear and easy, which made the entire process stress-free and en...
joyable. She had no problem traveling up to Lake Placid for our wedding, which meant so much to us, and from the moment she arrived she made us feel completely at ease.
On our wedding day, Jess went above and beyond. She created our timeline, which kept the day flowing seamlessly, and she made sure we were never rushed while still staying on track. She took the time to capture every special moment and made sure we got photos in all of the spots that were important to us around Lake Placid. Being in front of her camera never felt staged or forced—it felt natural, fun, and comfortable, like we were spending time with a friend who just happened to be capturing every moment beautifully.
Our friends and family also raved about how wonderful she was to be around, and how seamlessly she blended into the day while still capturing everything. Her professionalism and attention to detail showed in everything she did, yet she balanced it with warmth, patience, and genuine care.
When we received our photos, we were blown away by how stunning they were—they truly captured the heart of our day in the most authentic way. Jess is everything you could hope for in a wedding photographer and more. She gave us the gift of memories we will cherish forever, and we feel so lucky to have had her with us on such an important day.
Jess is an Outstanding human and great photographer. She is very creative and supportive. Jess captures unique and priceless moments. Weddings, sporting events, and much more!
Jess was incredible!!! 10/10
She was highly professional, adaptable, and creative. We had a ~50 person wedding in the Adirondack Mountains and she had to deal with some difficult ...
& highly opinionated family personalities, aggressively bright sun in the afternoon during the ceremony, and a rain storm in the evening on the backdrop of no cell service and shifting clouds. She came up with really cool shots that we never would have thought of that became some of our favorites. E.g.,
- She went on the balcony to get a full wedding group shot of everyone there.
- She found a non traditional first look spot in the forest which allowed her to capture glowing green forest light
- She worked with the rainstorm to get us beautiful dramatic misty evening shots that we ended the night with us dancing in the rain. These shots she previewed to us only a few days after the wedding while we were on our honeymoon and they've become our favorites & were used for our TY cards
She handled some outspoken family members with grace and humor. Many of our guests all commented on her professionalism and adaptability and were wow'd by the photos.
Would highly recommend Jess for your big day and would do it all over again exactly the same. Thank you Jess!
I could go on and on about how wonderful Jess was to work with. She was extremely organized and communicative throughout the wedding planning process. She had not shot in one of ou...
r wedding venues before and made a point to do research and prepare for it in advance. It was a wonderful mix of Jess bringing her expertise and also listening and understanding what we wanted out of our photography. The day of, she was prompt and patient with us as it took us a bit to warm up to the camera. Her gentle suggestions/guidance about where to stand/how to position ourselves throughout the day really helped improve the final product. And the final album was even better than we could have expected; she captured all the best moments of the day and then some. Cannot recommend Jess enough!

sence of every moment, and her kindness and thoughtfulness went beyond photography. Whether it was offering help outside of her role or simply being a calming presence, she made everything feel effortless and ensured everything was perfect.
Her professionalism and attention to detail were top-notch, and we couldn’t be happier with how the photos turned out. We’ve already framed a bunch of them! Jess made us feel so comfortable and at ease throughout the entire process, and her positive energy was contagious.
If you’re looking for a photographer who is not only incredibly talented but also a joy to work with, we highly recommend Jess!
Jess was a phenomenal photographer for our wedding. She was super organized and kept us on track to make sure we captured all of the photos we wanted. She had a very warm, calming ...
presence, which was very appreciated on a hectic day! Before the wedding, we met a couple of times via Zoom to get to know each other and to discuss what we were looking for. She arrived at the venue early to scope out the perfect spots for some of our pictures. Jess helped make our day so special, and we would definitely work with her again!

About 10 minutes before my ceremony I realized that I had forgotten to make a bouquet and Jess ran around the house collecting flowers to fashion one. She had corsage pins on hand and we used ribbon from one of the flower girl baskets - she's a GEM.
If you want gorgeous photos and a photographer who will see your vision, hire Jess. You won't be sorry.

She works very well with the other vendors. I had guests say they didn’t even realize she was there (a good thing) and she obtained beautiful shots for us.

ly leading up to the wedding. She helped us create a timeline that worked perfectly for our wedding day and we were able to get all of the photos with family and friends and still make it to the cocktail hour! She was such a fun and positive person to be around and made two people who are usually awkward in front of the camera feel relaxed and have so much fun! We felt so comfortable and at ease with Jess!! We love our photos so much and would book her again in a heartbeat!

photographer. She was prepared and walked us through her portfolio highlighting photos from our venue and suggesting taking photos during golden hour on the hilltop overlooking the Hudson Valley. She answered all of our questions and was transparent about costs and expectations. We booked an engagement session as we were both very nervous about getting our pictures taken. Jess eased those feelings and made us feel comfortable and confident. Highly recommend doing this if you feel similarly!
Throughout the planning process, Jess was very accessible via phone and email and offered helpful recommendations on how to make our day picture perfect. On our wedding day, she was a rockstar capturing so many pictures without us even realizing she was there. We appreciated her calm demeanor while also advocating for us to ensure we got the most out of our day. Our guests raved to us about Jess being a great photographer and she was able to get so many shots efficiently with helpful direction. The wedding day photos ended up being absolutely amazing. We love the final product and the romantic dreamy feel was exactly what we were looking for. She also has a user friendly online portal that organizes the photos into categories with options to favorite or make private photos. We highly recommend Jess Gregg Photography!

de us feel comfortable in front of a camera which is not our strong suit and everyone in our wedding party loved her. I highly recommend Jess - she was quick to respond, flexible with changing engagement shoot dates due to weather, and made the wedding day so much easier and fun!

ers because her photos had an artistic flair to them, they were romantic without being cheesy, and they were visually interesting. After having worked with her, I can say we were blown away with how organized she was, communicating with us every step of the way, from Zoom meetings months ahead of time and then a few check-ins getting closer, and her efficiency is next level. We’re also pretty awkward in front of a camera but she made posing fun. She understood family dynamics and we made a list of people we needed photos of which she was able to provide for us. What we (and our families!) were so impressed with on the day of was that she was able to gently borrow us, friends, and family members to take our requested group photos SO quickly and efficiently, and without disrupting any of the party. We are beyond thankful for all of our photos and the memories of that night and are so happy we went with Jess.

ered all of my questions in a timely manner and allowed for an open line of communication throughout the planning process. Jess was incredibly receptive to my vision for our photos, and even pulled up the Pinterest mood board I had made for her at the wedding to make sure she was getting they types of shots we requested. She arrived early the day of the wedding to begin setting up and taking photos and was incredibly personable and friendly with just the right amount of direction and bossiness when it came to wrangling large groups for photos. I can not recommend Jess enough, she captured so many incredible moments that I will never forget, and was such a kind soul to be around on such an important day. If you're in need of a sign to stop shopping around for photographers, this is it! Book Jess!

t from our wedding, during our first meeting she was figuring out our timeline for photographs and how much sunlight we would have. That right there showed me how much she cared for her clients. Every penny was worth it - and she will have my future business as well! Aside from Jess’s professional character, her personality is unmatched. Jess lights up a room when she’s there, always with a smile on her face that you can spot a mile away! I would 1,000% recommend her to everyone. You will not be sorry!!!
Fate led us to Jess and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect person to capture our wedding day. Right after our first phone call together, I turned to my now husband and said,...
"She's cool. She's the one." I knew right then that she was the person I wanted to photograph my wedding, because she's someone I would get along with outside of the wedding world. From start to finish, she was the perfect combination of professional, organized, calm, energetic, and fun. She let us bring our puppy to our engagement photoshoot, which is an immediate 5 stars in my book. On our wedding day, she kept us relaxed, on schedule, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the entire night. She turned around our photos right on time, with a stunning sneak peak on social media, and they are beyond beautiful. Every last portrait of us, family, and friends came out beyond our expectations. We told her we wanted to prioritize the candid moments; the little things we may forget, and the moments we may not have realized were even happening and SHE DELIVERED. It's easy to forget everything that goes on during your wedding day because of how fast everything goes and obviously, that "just married" bliss, but with a photographer like Jess, you don't have to worry about letting those memories slip away. She truly captured the vibe of the entire day. We are forever grateful to her for providing us with beautiful forever memories that we will cherish for a lifetime.
Jess is awesome, plain and simple. She is a true pro with the best attitude and the perfect balance you want in your wedding photographer: she has such cool, calm, collected energy...
while being super buttoned up and professional. Leading up to the wedding she was communicative and collaborative, reassuring and positive, and on the day she was sharp, funny, wonderful at putting us at ease, and she knew exactly what moves to make and when, what to prioritize and how to get the shots that mattered. There were so many moving parts to our day and she stayed on top of it all like a breeze. And the final photos. Oh my goodness. Just so incredibly stunning. She captured our vibes, our colors, our vision, and the most beautiful moments between us and our loved ones that we'll cherish forever. So fast, skilled and efficient on turning around her work, with gorgeous sneak peeks on social in record time and our full gallery in just two weeks without missing a beat. You cannot go wrong hiring Jess!!!

vailable for any help leading up to our wedding, and she and Sabrina both brought a calming energy to our wedding day. Our photos have been beyond beautiful. Jess’ photography style is exactly what we’d been hoping for! Photography was the most important thing to me and Jess exceeded our expectations.
We absolutely can’t recommend Jess enough to anyone, and we hope to work with her again in the future!

y husband and I don't have much experience in front of the camera, but Jess had us laughing and feeling natural the whole time.
For our actual wedding day, Jess knew that we wanted great photos but also really wanted to spend time with our guests. She was so efficient in taking pictures that day but still managed to capture absolutely perfect light and gave us photos we'll treasure with all of our favorite people. I tend to not have the most natural smile in photos either, but every picture that Jess captured made my husband and I look phenomenal. She was super on top of our wedding timeline as well, and we were able to start and end every part of our day on time.
Jess was also incredibly efficient with getting the photos back to us - we got our engagement and wedding photos in record time with so many compliments from friends and family! Could not recommend Jess more highly to anyone looking for an amazing keepsake from their wedding. Thank you Jess!

ur wedding to family holiday cards to boudoir for an anniversary gift. Each experience she made us feel special and completely at ease while she was shooting. It's not always easy to get my husband and son to open up and genuinely smile for pictures, but Jess did it with ease after only having known them for minutes. She's meticulous and captures details I wouldn't have even thought to look for in person, and the end product is stunning photographs that I have and will treasure throughout the years. If you need someone to help you every step of the way, she has the experience and knowledge to guide you. If you have a specific vision that you're trying to capture, she somehow makes it more magical than the vision in your head. I can never recommend her enough, and I can't wait for our next shoot together :)

e last photo. Every moment was somehow captured and beautifully delivered. Other than my now husband, she was the best wedding decision I made.
Jess coaxed smiles out of everyone, gently nudged me into taking (needed!) bride breaks, joked us through the family portrait line, and, perhaps best: was phenomenal with my kid. She was unobtrusive but ever present: whenever I turned to say, "Could you...?" she was there to take the photo. She even finished my braided up-do when my sister got stuck, and it was gorgeous.
For those doing their own planning (we got married at my parents' house): the photography schedule of the day she created became the backbone of the whole wedding. I had no idea what I was doing, and she was always ready with an email answer or suggestion. Her lists helped me make my lists.
I chose her originally because the couples in her portfolio looked incredibly happy and beautiful, glowing in a way that seemed achievable even for little-old-me. Throughout the super-stress process of planning the wedding, those couples' photos were a calming touchstone that yes, I would also be happy and beautiful, that my wedding was a dream that was actually possible. It was, and I was, with many thanks to Jess. And I have hundreds of gorgeous photos to prove it!

e enough to turn to Jessica who we hired to be our photographer and she jumped in saying she could also do our video. Legit life saving! We have already received some preview shots and a video teaser and they are all stunning. Jess has been helpful from the moment we had our first meeting, is extremely organized and was receptive to our wants and needs. She is easy to work with especially when my husband and I feel awkward in front of the camera. Our preview photos are remarkable, she has a beautiful eye and her work speaks for itself. I couldn't recommend Jess more. Photos and video were a huge part of our day and she is top notch.

ding day she arrived half hour early and got straight to work with some detail shots. Without previously meeting in person I was a little nervous, but from the moment Jess entered the room I knew I was in great hands. Her experience and talent as a photographer go above and beyond the pictures. She was there to help the boys get pinned with their boutonnieres, and gather family members for a big group photo. There was never an awkward moment to get the right shot...Jess made it easy to be ourselves and she made me and my husband really enjoy the process. We're so happy with the results! Highly recommend if you're looking for a photographer for any special occasion. Thanks for everything Jess!!

rtable and calm. Jess not only is an incredible photographer, but she has a wealth of knowledge about wedding planning and she was kind enough to give us lots of advice! She referred us to other vendors, including our hair and makeup artists and florist, and her help was invaluable. On the wedding day, she made our day much easier, and we loved laughing with her throughout the night. When we received the photos we were stunned at how perfect they were. Thank you Jess!

le the amount of time with us than originally planned to make sure we all got to know each other. Being a same-sex couple, we were originally nervous about finding a photographer who understood us as people and as a couple. A few minutes after meeting Jess, we knew we were in the best hands possible. Jess was interested in getting to know us, and that came through in our photos. Jess has an incredibly artistic vision and style that we were immediately attracted to, while also bringing a classic lens to wedding photos - we had an amazing variety of pictures to enjoy and will marvel at for the rest of our lives. Jess was a great asset to our vendor team, and kept us all organized to ensure we got the shots we wanted (and provided our final photos to us in amazing time!). The most important thing we can say about Jess is that she paid attention… She heard what we wanted, she listened to us and those around us, and captured so many special moments that we will cherish for a lifetime.

and Jess is absolutely a master of her craft. Not only did we feel extremely comfortable with her, we are blown away by the photos and couldn’t have asked for better. Thank you for being such an important part of our day!

she was invested in getting to know us as a couple and capturing our special day. Her communication skills were great and she was so easy to work with. Neither my husband nor I are "picture people" and don't love to be the center of attention, she made us feel so at ease. Her pictures came out beautifully, the lighting and colors, and the special moments she elicited and captured are perfect.
Jess is incredible. There is no better way to start this.

ad to make it work with her. There was an instant connection - it felt like we'd known Jess for years.
Going into the planning process, my wife and I didn't really know what we were doing and Jess was so chill about everything. We felt like she was with us every step of the way, she handled us with kindness, patience and understanding. Jess made the whole experience feel a lot less daunting. She hoped on zoom calls to help us through every little detail of the day and made sure we got everything we were looking for.
The actual day of the wedding felt so crazy & again, Jess was just so chill about everything. It literally felt like she was apart of our friend group. We like to think we have a crazy bunch of friends and none of them phased Jess at all, she was so fun to work with.
We got so many compliments about Jess the entire night and are still continuing to receive them.
My wife and I feel like we are pretty awkward people so there were definitely a few nerves when it came to picture taking. Jess made us feel so comfortable and kept us laughing the entire time, the pictures that we've seen came out INCREDIBLE. We love them. We look at them every day. We can not wait to see the rest of them.
We loved working with Jess, and we are trying to come up with reasons to have to hire her again!

I didn’t have an idea of where to take our ‘first look’ photos and she had found a spot on a path in the woods that I didn’t even know was there! She gave us direction on how to pose when we needed it, but still let us be ourselves and I think you can see that in the amazing photos she captured! She was an absolute pleasure to work with and she went above and beyond to help the day flow smoothly. Jess just sent us the photos from our special day and we were BLOWN AWAY! Every single photo she captured (and there are many) are gorgeous!! We couldn’t be happier and we are excited to work with Jess in the future!! Thank you, Jess, for making our big day that much better!

I can't wait for my next excuse to book her for another shoot!!
If you are contemplating booking her for your wedding/engagement/baby photos or whatever it may be, this is your sign, BOOK HER!! She will blow you away with her skills, attention to detail, kindness and generosity, and all over she's just an awesome human.
Thank you Jess!!!

Jessica was absolutely amazing! She was so good with my kids and including them. She got all the shots we wanted and we loved all the pictures!
