Operating out of Louisville, KY, Jess McDole Weddings is a photography studio dedicated to candid, documentary-style shooting that captures the essence and authenticity of every wedding day. Jess uses analog film and Super 8, resulting in nostalgic, vibrant images that preserve not just how a wedding looked, but how it felt. Her approach prioritizes quiet observation over direction and emotion over perfection, allowing the day to progress organically without interruption.
At the core of Jess's shooting style is her belief that weddings shouldn't be about the photography, but for photography to be about weddings. Her passion for candid shooting makes her adept at floating around the celebration, capturing the raw emotion of the day without having to interject with instructions or forced poses. Her time-honed skills with film allow her to make the most of natural lighting, which lends a unique vibe and atmosphere to her images.
Jess McDole Weddings proudly welcomes all love stories, embracing couples of every background, culture, and identity. All of her packages are full-day wedding experiences, allowing her to properly immerse herself in the day's events, preserving the moments that matter the most.
