She met with us a couple of times before the wedding to learn about our personalities and desires for the day. She also scoped out the venue ahead of time and stayed a bit longer than required to get a couple last-minute shots. I don't like being the center of attention and Alice and Jordan blended right in to the point that we had no idea that they were even there taking photos of us throughout the wedding and reception. JLP photography was recommended to me by a couple friends and by another established wedding photographer. I would definitely recommend that you use Alice from JLP for your wedding day!

Alice canvassed our neighborhood the week before our engagement photos for the perfect spots and even drove up to Wisconsin the night before our wedding to make sure we had beautiful scenery for our photos. Alice was organized, professional, blended in well (we barely noticed her most of the time!) and, most importantly, provided us with beautiful photos that captured our happiest moments. We used our engagement photos to build a guest book for the wedding, and went through a completely independent photo book creator. Jeremy makes the whole process easy, and FUN. He is completely professional. He takes amazingly beautiful and fun photos. His experience makes it easy. The photos are the main thing that will last after your wedding day. It's worth it!

There was no messing around – within 5 minutes of meeting us and learning about our style he had come up with the perfect “first look” idea for us and had spit out unique locations for photos around Chicago. We did not want posed shots on the day of our wedding and his photojournalistic style ensured that what we actually got were one-of-a-kind images tailored to the feel of our wedding. Jeremy was able to work with us to figure out our best angles and make us feel comfortable in front of the camera. He also had great skill in politely handling photo requests from our guests that were not on our/his shot list. He was quick to take any photos that guests requested and move on to continue capturing candid moments from our reception. Our guests raved about how friendly he was as he tried to capture a combination of mostly candid shots without interrupting his fun. He brought a second shooter and we received the same compliments about her. Jeremy sent us about 40 teaser photos via his blog about 5 weeks after the wedding, and followed up with the entire edited set less than 2 months after the wedding, which was a quick turnaround. He uploads his photos to pictage.com so that guests can easily purchase shots. Please feel free to message me any specific questions about Jeremy or what it was like to work with him. He worked very well with our wedding planner and videographer. We had high expectations based on his previous work and he absolutely exceeded them. I would recommend Jeremy for any wedding or big event, and hope that we have a reason to work with him again in the future.

Many of my family and friends made comments through the day as well as after the wedding that Jeremy was great. We could tell from our meeting with Jeremy and by looking at his work that he was perfect for us. When we met with Jeremy for our engagement photos, we told him how it was our first time being professionally photographed and he made it simple for us and fun. We spend the day driving around and exploring all these different areas of Chicago for our photos. Jeremy knew where to go and how to make simple Chicago landscapes look beautiful in our pictures. For our wedding day, Jeremy was great. For the first meeting of bride and groom, he had this great idea of us meeting in the middle of Michigan Avenue and that was truly unforgettable. For the rest of the day, he always made sure I was picture perfect by fixing my hair or dress. All of the guests loved him and said how great of a photographer he was. We highly recommend Jeremy for your wedding photography…or for any photography for that matter! We will be booking our “Trash the Dress” photography session with Jeremy and we can’t wait for it!
