Jen & Aaron Rotz (who was also our videographer) generously traveled over an hour to meet with us & take our engagement pictures at the location I wanted! The pictures turned out absolutely gorgeous! You couldn't even tell how hot it was that day! Lol :) So many of our wedding guests commented on how amazing Jen, Aaron, & her assistant, Kaila, were. They were so accommodating to all the wedding day chaos. Jen made sure we were able to attend some of our cock tail hour like we wanted while still getting plenty of amazing pictures. All our wedding pictures are absolutely beautiful. My husband doesn't enjoy posing for pictures, so the best part for both of us was that we didn't feel like we were taking pictures all day. We were able to enjoy the entire day while Jen worked her magic and captured all our beautiful moments & memories. I am SO thankful for Jen & her team for all their incredible work.

t she was organized, efficient, and personable. She totally gets the busy life of a bride/groom and finds every way possible to accommodate and comfort them. Our engagement shoot was a total blast! Despite our choosing the coldest day in January to shoot, Jen and Aaron were optimistic, light-hearted, and made us laugh and feel natural on camera. Our friends and family were amazed by the engagement photos and how they captured our love in each unique setting. One of the best things about Jen and Aaron is how they instantly make you want to be their best friends, which makes the wedding day perfect because having them around all day is lovely and is just an extension of your other friends/family. They even had a third photographer/assistant, Kaila, helping out during our wedding and she was equally as awesome as Jen and Aaron. Never did we feel like we had an entourage with us...they were so professional and discreet, and while I know we will have tons of amazing photos, my guests said how the photographers were never in the way at all. We also loved how they kept us on schedule but were also very flexible when the timing of things needed to shift a bit. The talent and genuine passion of Jennifer Rotz Photography is unmatched in this region. They really listen and learn about your style and our photos were a perfect mix of artistic and classic, a beautiful combination to express our love on camera. They were by far our favorite wedding vendor, and I know we will contact them for future special occasions. We are so happy to have worked with such top-notch photographers!!! It's inspiring as a very newly-married couple to be around a husband-wife team who work so well together!!

Jen and Aaron (her husband) traveled to Alexandria, VA for our engagement photo session. Aaron was the perfect handler for our dog; and, both of them were able to get him to look at the camera so Jen could take amazing "family" photographs. Jen and Aaron were easy to work with; and, we had a wonderful time during the session and were thrilled with our engagement photos. Jen and her "second shooter" Kaila, Aaron and his assistant for the day, Montana, did an amazing job taking pictures and video at our wedding earlier this month; and, the teaser photographs Jen has shown us from the day, have been fabulous. Her hand-written notes and thoughtful gifts have added a personal touch. Jen goes above and beyond to create lasting customers. My husband and I will continue to use Jennifer Rotz Photography for future family portraits; and, we will continue to recommend Jen to friends and family for their photography needs.

besides our memories, our pictures would be the only thing we would have to keep that memory alive. We also wanted someone that would capture the moments and details rather than just posed pictures, which is one of the reasons we chose Jennifer in the first place. The other reason we chose Jennifer was my initial meeting with her. I was amazed by how much she truly cared about not only our wedding day, but us as a couple. After chatting a couple hours with her (and not realizing how much time flew by), I was sold because of her kindness and feeling of ease she brought to me. After viewing our pictures we can say we absolutely made the perfect choice. Jennifer and Clare were such professionals on our wedding day. They directed us when necessary (with unbelievable patience) and captured so many moments that we didn't even realize they were taking. Patrick and I had such fun looking at the pictures and we got our wish to relive our day. Of the 900 plus pictures taken, we can honestly say there isn't one that we don't like. I am not only in awe of the talent they both possess by using different lighting and scenery available to them but also how much they cared that our wishes be granted. We had an unexpected event happen during our reception...which caused a delay for the sparkler exit. Jennifer and Clare were so compassionate and understanding knowing how important it was to us that they stayed longer to capture that moment. Even if that picture wasn't one of our favorites, which it is, I would like to thank them both from the bottom of our hearts. If anyone is looking for a photographer, we give Jennifer (and her team) the highest recommendation possible, you will not be disappointed! We can't wait to hopefully have Jennifer capture any future moments in our lives!

searched for photographers online, on the knot and wedding wire. I looked for the things that were important to us, all day coverage, engagement session, digital files, and 2 photographers was a nice bonus. When I came across Jennifer's site, I clicked into her blog and didn't leave for hours. I read every post all the way back to the beginning. I fell in love with the photos but also with the words. The way she wrote about each session, from weddings and engagements to families and newborns, really showed how much she loves what she does, and how much she truly cares about her clients. We Skyped with her for our first meeting and even with my fiance asking her pointed and difficult questions, she held her own and really seemed to get our sense of humor. We hired her just days later and couldn't have been more excited. She traveled to Pittsburgh for our engagement session, since it was a special place for us. She made us feel so at ease, even while traipsing around the city and posing for hours. The pictures were amazing, and that just cemented our decision even more. When I decided to do a boudoir photo shoot as a surprise for my husband to be, Jen made me feel super confortable with it. I am still amazed at how beautiful the pictures are. When our wedding day arrived, I wasn't the least bit nervous about her and her team. It felt like we knew each other by then and I had complete confidence that she would capture our wedding beautifully. We couldn't have been happier with the results! After a few sneak peaks on facebook (within in days of the wedding) and a blog post soon after we were dying to see the rest. I couldn't wait to look through them all the day she sent the gallery (even though there were almost 1000). She captured the moments and the details that we will always want to remember, even things we hadn't noticed until seeing the pictures. It wasn't just the pictures, because I believe it’s also the little things that make someone successful. Jen was always professional and friendly and timely in answering any questions along the way. She really helped with planning our timeline based around the photos we wanted on our day. I was impressed with every product we received as well. The flash drives, her stationary, and my boudoir album were all packed and presented beautifully, which really gave a wonderful impression. We are always receiving compliments from friends and family on the pictures and can't wait to have them on our walls. I tell everyone that she was the best decision we made for our wedding and we will work with her again whenever possible!

The Knot, after speaking with a few photographers with no luck, and after meeting with her for the first time we knew she would be perfect. I'm very type A and like things done quickly and well. I've never met someone who does such amazing work in such a short amount of time! Her photographs are unbelievably gorgeous, she's extremely professional, and above all she makes everyone feel at ease during the whole process. If you have an hesitation about hiring Jen or her husband Aaron (who was our videographer), speak with her once over the phone or in person and you will quickly see why so many brides choose her for their wedding. We hope to hire her again in the future for other occasions!

y gravitated towards Jen’s natural style, her ability to capture “real” moments, and her use of natural light. We met for the first time for the engagement session. Not only did she drive hours to get to the location itself, we then took her and her husband Aaron on a crazy adventure around Brandywine country in the deep snow. We were literally trekking through knee high snow for the majority of the afternoon and they completely embraced it. I am not comfortable in front of the camera at all, but she has this ability to make you so comfortable and almost forget that she is even there, which then allows her to get these spectacular photos of natural interactions between couples. She is so creative when it comes to using textures and light that our pictures look like pieces of art. Before the wedding, things were hectic, and she and her team were my confidantes, they kept me calm, and they even ran a very important little errand for me at the last minute. I don’t even remember seeing them during our ceremony or reception - some of our guests described her team as ninjas because they were so nonintrusive and they were still able to capture every special moment. She gave us the edited pictures with unbelievable turnaround time – we saw the first fifty or so while we were still on our honeymoon! She took pictures of such special moments that we didn’t even know were captured, and in such a beautiful way. Our personalities and the love and happiness from the day shined through in every single one. We can’t wait to have more excuses to work with her again!

Jennifer gets to know her couples, finds out the type of people they truly are and then makes sure to reflect that back in their pictures both engagement and wedding. She doesn't conform you to her style but instead she conforms to yours all the while making sure to get those incredible shots with the best lighting and posing. She likes to be informed, organized and doesn't mind taking charge when necessary (my kind of woman)! She showed up at my door the morning of our wedding at the peak of chaos and had no problem taking charge of the chaos, jumping right in taking all necessary pictures, asking for help when needed....getting the job done! The best part, I barely said hi to her and was able to finally take some time for myself as I knew she was getting what she needed to get done - done. I know all brides will understand when I say it's one of the best feelings in the world to work with a vendor that not only does a great job, but does it without having to be asked or nagged or reminded by their client. She truly was the best vendor I worked with during my wedding. This rock star photographer didn't need to convince me any further that I had hired the best - but then I got my wedding pictures back. S.O.L.D.! AGAIN! You know you hired THE BEST wedding photographer when you quickly click through the hundreds of photographs taken at your wedding and are instantly reliving the emotions of the event both from your perspective and also your guests. I could FEEL how much fun everyone was having just by the photographs. UNBELIEVABLE. I am probably one of Jennifer Rotz Photography's biggest fans - but then again she's a rock star so I'm sure there's many more :)

wedding day - knowing that besides our memories, the pictures would be what we could keep going back to, to remind us of our big day. Once I saw Jennifer's photos online, I knew her style matched what I had in mind. I wanted a more journalistic style of photos and she provided that. She was 100% easy to work with from the very beginning. Jennifer also took our engagement photos. If I had a doubt before (I didn't) it was immediately erased. After seeing our engagement photos, I knew for sure we made the right choice. I am not a person that likes to be in front of the camera and neither is my husband. But Jennifer made us feel comfortable and it was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be. I was absolutely blown away by the number of amazing, quality images that she produced. It was actually hard to choose my favorites for my photo book. I have received so many compliments on my wedding photos. Jennifer was able to somehow capture every single wonderful moment and I am so grateful that I can look at these photos when I want to relive that amazing day. Besides my choice of husband :) and dress, she is by far the best decision I made for my wedding. I recommend her to every bride. And when my husband and I have kids one day, I can't wait to have her photograph them :)

Jennifer spent the morning with the ladies of the wedding party while Aaron photographed the guys during the getting ready process. They made my husband and I feel completely relaxed throughout the day. It was wonderful being able to have so much trust in those whose job it was to capture every detail of such an important day! And they certainly did their job! My then fiance and I booked a package that included a free engagement session, a full day wedding service with two photographers and rights to all of our wedding pictures. Having a full day contract was so wonderful! We didn't have to deal with the stress of only having our photographers until a certain time. Jennifer had our online gallery with all of our wedding photos to us in just over two weeks! Before then she had been editing and posting sneak peeks to her Facebook page, which we really appreciated! Our pictures are beautiful and we could not be happier with them! We can't wait to print our photos and share them with our families and friends!

Both Jen and Aaron captured moments from throughout the day that bring back the joy of the entire event.
