Jennifer Hyde Photography & Associates

as super responsive to our questions and took the time to get to know myself and my fiancé and what we were looking for. At our engagement session she made us super comfortable and we had such a fun time. Our engagement photos are stunning and we couldn’t be more excited for her to photograph our wedding next year!

nt approximately $4,500 on our wedding package with Jen and she seemed great at first. She did an engagement photo session with us and we liked how the photos came out! However, the problem that we had was that she texted me at 7:45pm the night before our wedding letting me know she wasn’t going to be able to make it because she wanted to spend time with her son and she was sending a backup photographer in her place (we paid for 2 photographers) but not to worry because they had worked together before and there would be no issues! I didn’t have time to meet the new photographer or tell her how I imagined wanting things to go but there was nothing I could do about it and hoped she was right, everything would be fine. The main photographer who showed up was very kind but not at all assertive (which is what my wedding party needed a bit of to stay on track!) and did no coaching to let us know how to pose or where to put our hands, etc. and the back up photographer told us she had never met Jen or the new “main” photographer before and she had hired her off of a Facebook group. I was upset to hear this but let it go. When we got our pictures back I was horribly dissatisfied with the results and reached out to Jen to discuss. She seemed understanding and willing to try to fix the images to my liking. Well after probably 30 text messages following up, and about 10 months after our wedding (3 months after the promised updated/edited photos) she now will not even respond to my texts. Totally disappointed with our experience and the customer service of this “company.” I hope other people don’t have this experience with her but I felt the need to inform others of our experience so they can make their own decisions. Good luck and beware!

d looked on instagram and through portfolios to get a feel for each one's aesthetic. Jen was a top contender for me from the very beginning because her photos are so bright and full of emotion. She captures moments that are unique and beautiful. On the day of our wedding, Jen did such an INCREDIBLE job. She took breathtaking photos, thought of new and interesting ways to get a shot, and made everyone feel comfortable. I LOVED so many of our photos! She was definitely one of my favorite vendors and we are so happy we went with her. Take a look at her website and instagram page. You will not be disappointed!

dding photos within 3 weeks of our wedding and now my husband and I can’t stop looking at them. Every part of the day was captured so perfectly and all the pictures are beautiful. Communication with Jen was super easy as she responded right away with any questions or concerns that I had. I was worried that taking so many pictures the day of the wedding would be dreadful and take up too much time but Jen and her team were so fast and efficient and captured all the pictures I asked! I would recommend Jen over and over again!! Thank you for allowing me to relive my wedding through these pictures

hotos, and both times made my fiancé and I feel special and happy. She captured the perfect moments of love on those special days. She had us both laughing and reminiscing about our love and it shows in each of the pictures. We weren’t the only ones impressed, even our wedding guests loved her, we heard great feedback all night! I know choosing a photographer is such an important part of anyone’s big day, so I hope that this helps make that decision a little easier. You will be in the best hands with Jenn.

Thank you Jen and Team!

he was able to work with our big, loud families and all our friends on our wedding day to make sure we got every photo combination we needed. My husband and I agree that she was our favorite vendor from our wedding day! You won't regret working with Jen and her team!

eat eye for the perfect shot and made sure I was looking my best throughout the day. We shot at multiple different locations around Chicago and truly captured my dream scenic photos. Jen was able able to work efficiently to capture so many wonderful moments. I would definitely recommend Jennifer Hyde Photography for those seeking a photographer in the Chicagoland area.

g images that we can pass down for generations to come—she understood this sentiment and worked with us, letting us be ourselves but also guiding us and helping to get those shots. We aren’t used to being the center of attention and it was definitely a shift to have all eyes on us, but Jen made us so comfortable. She made it easy and fun. She was so great about getting us sneak peak photos in such a short amount of time, which made it exciting to see them so quickly. On our wedding day, Jen was prompt and professional. She brought a calm energy and was efficient. She rolled with the punches and adapted to a few things that went slightly astray from what I had planned, making it all flow seamlessly. She was so great at directing our family and friends in a fun and efficient way. She is very kind and sweet. Hiring any vendor for our wedding, we wanted to make sure that the people we were hiring to be with us on one of the most intimate days of our lives would fit in with everyone and keep our families feeling comfortable—Jen exceeded all of these expectations. It is so natural for her to interact with everyone and guide them to get the shots needed. My family and bridesmaids all said how much they loved our photographer! So thank you, Jen, for making our wedding day so incredible. We’d recommend Jen to anyone looking for a top notch photographer!

e is very punctual, friendly, and offered valuable advice. From a male’s perspective, I am not always one to be comfortable taking a lot of pictures but Jen made us both feel comfortable in front of the camera. She made it a really fun experience for both engagement pictures and on our wedding day. She was very easy to talk to and I felt like she understood what was important to us. She captured moments that will be keepsakes for a lifetime. So happy that we chose her. She was amazing and we’d recommend her to anyone!

r day to capture the best photos possible. When we rescheduled she was more than happy to work with the dates that fit best with us. She made us feel comfortable and we had a lot of fun during our shoot! I would recommend everyone to use her - we will also be using her for our wedding!

really did such an amazing job, that i cried! i am just so in love with them! She really knows how to make you feel comfortable in every way. We cannot be happier that we have landed such a great photographer for our big day! I would recommend Jennifer Hyde to anyone i know, truly! Thank you thank you!!!

ring the day trying to stay on our timeline! I was able to talk to her throughout the whole wedding planning process. Her whole team was so great! I HIGHLY recommend Jen and her team!

for myself and my husband. I highly recommend hiring them for your photography needs. We absolutely LOVED having them for our wedding!!

ow Rebecca, our photographer. She made us feel so comfortable. We originally planned on getting married in 2020 but then postponed until July 2021 and JHyde was more than understanding. They honored our contract and moved dates with us. Our new date did not work for our original photographer but JHyde quickly problem solved and replaced our lead photographer so we did not have to worry. We could not be happier with how everything turned out! Ashley and Melissa were our photographers for our wedding day. They were absolutely wonderful to work with and were so easy going. They were with us through the getting ready process and stayed through most of our reception. After church they helped us problem solve a 2nd picture location due rain so that our we would avoid getting soaked and still have great pictures. They also suggested my husband and I take a special moment for ourselves during our reception where we danced in front of a band that was playing at our venue. It is now such a special memory for us which would have never happened without them! By the end of the night, they felt like not just our photographers but our friends. We did not book a videographer so we relied solely on pictures to capture our big day and our pictures are exactly what we hoped for! Jen has also been so great to work with as well! She has been very helpful and edited our pictures beautifully! We could not be happier with our decision to pick JHyde Photography for our engagement pictures and our wedding day!

uple the next day for me to see and I cried happy tears with how beautiful they turned out!!! ❤️

truly put all of their effort into capturing every candid moment that arose. Jen was more than a wedding photographer on our day; she truly felt like a guiding/reassuring hand when everything seemed to be flying a million miles an hour. If you're a couple that's on the hunt for the right photographer, look no further. You will meet so many people in the months leading up to the big day as you plan, but meeting with and working with Jen felt like we were meeting with a friend who always had our best interest in mind. I think people with careers in the wedding industry could learn a thing or two from this team. Our photos from our engagement session and the wedding are simply flawless. We wanted everything on our day to be perfect, but Jen made everything on her end perfect and FUN! We are so happy that we made the decision to have Jennifer Hyde Photography & Associates capture and record our special day.

n to life!

o use her for any professional pictures in the future!

all the moments special. This is coming from a COVID bride, who had to postpone her wedding, but still chose to marry in a small intimate ceremony this year. I took a long shot to see if Jen would be available to shoot our small ceremony in a weeks notice (as well as still shoot our big ceremony next year). Without hesitation, she showed up and captured our most special moments. She is not only incredibly talented, but incredibly thoughtful in capturing all the moments that flash by around you, when you’re too busy focusing on your groom!!! 😆She pays attention to detail and listens to what pictures matter to you. She is a person who really cares about her clients and believes in a story of love!! I would recommend Jen to everyone looking for a thoughtful and talented photographer. We are so looking forward to her capturing more magical moments for us at our big wedding celebration next year!!!

shots we wanted and captured the special moments we didn’t know to capture. We look forward to having them back for our anniversary reception and hopefully future family pictures!

Rebecca and Ray captured our day so beautifully with great attention to detail. We are so happy with all of them and for their help in making our day so special!

We could not thank her enough for stopping us in the rain on the pier, these are one of our favorite photos! In addition, we cannot thank Jen and her team enough for editing and handling all of the logistics! You guys made planning a wedding easy! Thank you :)

k the time to get to know us and wanted to make sure that she could provide us with our perfect pictures! We had an amazing engagement session, my fiancé and I tend to be camera shy but she put us at complete ease and made the day so much fun! Jen and her team have made wedding planning a breeze even with ever changing schedules related to the pandemic. When our wedding had to be postponed Jen and her team had us rescheduled with just one phone call and guaranteed us that they would be with us every step of the way. I am so happy to work with such a wonderful team and am as excited as ever for our wedding day and the beautiful pictures to come!

They made everything so easy, from working with me to build a package which fit my needs and budget to just being so fun the day of. They kept everything light to have everyone laughing. She was awesome with communicating, especially during a lot of worries of what was going to happen due to covid, but assured me every time that they would do anything they needed to if anything changed. Our families love every picture, and the video just made everyone smile and cry as we relived the day again. They captured everything and more than we could’ve asked for.

away so much from us she seemed to bring so much back in making our day beyond special and she went so far above and beyond anything we could have wanted or asked for for our wedding day! Everyone told us one of the most important vendors you pick is your photographer and honestly Jen is everything you need and more when it comes to your special day and she is so dedicated to making that day special about you! Apart from her amazing communication and really making you feel like you are the only wedding she is doing for the year in terms of her dedication to you, Jen also is a master at capturing your love, story and day in photos to give you memories you can hold on to for forever! There is just not enough good things to say AND we had a bridal party of 21 with me and my bride, and she was able to keep us focused and running on schedule while also listening and being open to everyone’s ideas for pictures! We definitely had a goofy group and she captured us perfectly! We couldn’t be happier with her and we are so excited to work with her again next year! Jen did so much for us and she did so much to make our day special and we could not ever thank her enough for it! She was also great with pivoting when we had some last minute changes! We just honestly could not say enough!

ly could not ask for a better photographer. Definitely worth the price!

picture your wedding, one of the most important parts is making sure you hire a photographer that will capture every perfect moment and that fits what you’re looking for. Let me tell you, Jen will exceed every expectation you could ever dream of! From our engagement pictures and capturing our special pictures with our pups all the way up to our wedding day, I couldn’t be more pleased and ecstatic to have found her. I am so so so beyond blessed to have found her and have the privilege to have her capture our special day. Going through this process during a pandemic was extremely stressful, and having Jen was a true gift. When planning back-up dates, I solely picked them based on her availability because that is how great she truly is and I knew no one would be able to capture my day quite like she could. And she blew every expectation out of the water! She captures every raw emotion, detail, and story in her pictures and I can’t thank her and Rebecca enough for capturing our special day. She is so patient (she had the pleasure of posing me down to my hand 😉), sweet, and truly has a gift. I cannot wait to have her capture our future milestones down the road!

Jen know just what to do and say to make me feel comfortable. She gave direction while still letting my fiance and I explore. She knows her stuff! She has great ideas!

capture our day. We just got our engagement pictures back and wow! They look AMAZING!! Jen was super helpful and sweet the entire time. I truly cannot wait for her to capture our big day next September! She’s the only one who will professionally capture my future pictures! Thank you, Jen!

t so you never look like you’re posing awkwardly. She’s totally worth it.

efore selecting her as our photographer for our wedding. Due to the COVID pandemic, we had to postpone our wedding to next year, but decided to have a small, intimate ceremony in my parent's backyard this summer as well. Jen agreed to come take photos outdoors on a very hot day, and without much notice. We were thrilled that she could be there. She is simply lovely to work with. We received our photos yesterday, and they are absolutely amazing. Jen's ability to capture the wide range of emotions from everyone that was present at our small ceremony was wonderful. All I could do was smile as I went through the photos. What was truly noteworthy was her ability to capture special moments naturally, without us posing. I cannot wait to have her at our big wedding next year!!

tures turned out better than we could have imagined. She captured so many beautiful memories that we will be able to cherish forever! From the engagement pictures, to the wedding day, and then the bridal session, it felt like we were hanging out with an old friend while getting our pictures taken. Thank you Jen, for everything!!! xoxo

her vendors, and the wedding guests. The bride and groom had a unique vision for their big day and Jennifer captured the essence of that vision perfectly.

tive. She is also extremely organized and was so good at instructing us, our bridal party, and families on how to stand and position to get the most gorgeous photographs I have ever seen. She made my hubby and I feel so relaxed and comfortable at our engagement shoot last December - we had a blast with her and then we’re in awe of the sunrise shots she got of us in Lincoln Park and with the Chicago skyline in the back. We couldn’t wait to see her again this October at the wedding - not just because she is an amazing photographer but because she has such an infectious personality that you just want to be around her! We just got our sneak peak after the wedding and the photographs are absolutely stunning. Jen and her second shooter Rebecca are an incredible team and helped the entire day go by seamlessly. It literally poured all day and they were able to set up portraits under a covered walkway so we could still do portraits outside - you can’t even tell it is raining and you can still see the beautiful fall foliage. The shots are perfect. Then at the venue we got some amazing artsy backlit umbrella shots in the rain that are our favorites - she has an incredible eye! We cannot day enough good things about Jen! Thank you so much for helping make our wedding day so memorable and joyful!!

real. Not only that but she also made the experience super fun. It honestly felt more like we were on a really cool date than a photo shoot and we could not be more thankful. As for the pictures, they turned out beautiful! We cannot wait until Jhyde captures our special day!!

inois. That being said most of our vendor shopping was done online. Jennifer had me sold on her and her business from the start. Her website not only was easy to maneuver, it provided all the information needed when searching for vendors. When I reached out to Jennifer and explained our situation, she was more than happy to setup a skype call that would allow us to get to know her, ask any questions, and get our planning started. Throughout the planning process Jennifer was always prompt on response, provided helpful tips along the way, and was more than happy to work with our crazy travel schedules. Jennifer’s true dedication was displayed when she traveled down to Florida to shoot my Husband and I’s engagement photos. On the day of the wedding Jennifer was amazing. She helped keep our timeline, captured every moment of our special day, and was truly an amazing person to work with. We could not be happier with the final products. Jennifer has a true talent for capturing the special moments and we are so happy we are able to relive our wedding day through her photographs.

which made me feel like she truly cared about my wedding day! Jen kept everyone on time and made sure to get those special shots that I wouldn’t have thought about. Rebecca and Jen went hand in hand because once we got our big group shots, Rebecca went off to the side and got nice family shots of both mine and my husbands extended family which they all loved And appreciated!! We got our sneak peaks before we went to bed on our wedding night and were so in love with them already! Jen I truly can’t thank you enough for all you did for me and my husband on Our wedding day! Our bridal party had so much fun with you and Rebecca and they all even said that it was relaxing and you guys made it fun to take pictures which coming from boys says a lot! I wouldn’t nor couldn’t think of anyone else being our photographers except for Jen and Rebecca!!! Thanks for making our day so beyond special!!❤️

d of fell off of a little waterfall to get us our perfect shots and she succeeded in making our engagement photos perfect! Everything was so comfortable with her too! Nothing felt awkward and she really captured mine and my fiancé’s unique love and goofiness in our photos! I can’t stop staring at them since she sent them and I especially can’t wait for our wedding pictures now! There are not enough words to explain how absolutely incredible she is!

wanted her as my photographer for our big day! We had a engagement pictures taken last week and it was an amazing time, we had to cut it short because of rain. Jen being as amazing as she is offered to give us another short session one day to finish up our shoot, I don't know about others but she goes above and beyond to make sure we are happy with not only our big day but everything leading up to that day. I wouldn't have anyone else helping capture our engagement or wedding day! Jen makes everything so easy going, we had a wonderful engagement shoot neither of us felt we were going to be overly photogenic but the pictures turned out beautiful.

l meeting with her - to make sure we would all have the same feel and that she would be a good fit for us. As soon as my husband and I walked into her studio, I felt like I was visiting a friend - her space is so welcoming! we spent maybe half an hour going over questions about the wedding and learning about one another, and the next half hour just talking about anything. When we had our engagement photos done a year later, Jen was so much fun to work with - her bubbly personality was greatly welcomed and made everything so much easier. She has great ways of getting you to feel comfortable and in the moment. The week of the wedding, Jen was super helpful, making herself available for whatever I may need. I luckily had everything ready to go, but I guarantee that if I would have asked for a coffee, she would have found time to get one for me. The day of the wedding I was all over the place, making sure everything was going smoothly and correctly - Jen was always right beside me, reminding me that we had time to spare, and everything was fine. The ceremony turned out to be beautiful. When it came time for the reception, I was able to dance it out with her - she definitely had fun, while still being able to work with her assistant, Rebecca. Jen and Rebecca are both amazing photographers and even better photographers. I will be using them for every big moment in my life. much love to you both, Mr. and Mrs. Burke

woke up to beautiful preview photos! She is extremely talented at what she does. I highly recommend using her for any special occasion!
