Hi! I'm the guy, Jeff Vreeland. I'm a film wedding photographer based in Denville, NJ, who's been working in the industry for 17 years. I dropped out of high school to pursue this as my passion and craft, which has now led me to owning and operating my own business for going on 11 years now. I grew up in Denville, NJ, and now live down the road from my childhood home with the woman who has my heart, my sweet Celina.
Now I could rant on for a long time (I'm a bit of Chatty Cathy), but instead I'd like to mention something to you. There are a lot of photographers out there with many years of experience and who might be perfectly capable of creating a pretty image with their technical skills. All that's great, but not quite as useful if the individual doesn't know how to connect with a couple and to be a go steward of the day's schedule. It's for that reason that when couples hire me as their wedding photographer, they're getting me and no one else. It's for that reason that couples hire me as their wedding photographer. I'm invested in the whole planning of the day and making sure that I do the very best job for my couples. Lastly, it's for that reason that when couples hire me as a wedding photographer, I take it as a great honor for them to choose me as the photographer for one of the most special days of their life.
My style breaks down into two parts: aesthetics and approach. The aesthetics I describe as rich, vibrant, and real, aiming to capture real life with a slight exaggeration. My approach is intentional, neither overly posed nor purely candid. I blend deliberate, classic poses with candid, fly-on-the-wall moments. Above all, I aim to capture photographs that strike an emotional chord and feel timeless, as if the timestamp has been removed.
Thank you for your time, and please reach out if you want to hear me rant some more.

When Jeff snaps a picture of you, he is capturing you at your best.
We’ll just say it: we’re awkward. We’re the kind of people that shy away from the camera and become stiff the m...
oment someone yells, “Say Cheese.”
Yet, when you look at our wedding gallery, you get to see the real us. Jeff captured us having tender moments we don’t even remember having and us laughing at jokes we don’t remember telling. We see our parents dancing the night away, reunions of old friends, and new friendships being made. We showcase a lot of emotions in that album: excited, happy, nervous and more, but we don’t look the least bit awkward.
This is thanks to Jeff’s dedication to connecting with his couples from the first call. Whenever we chatted with Jeff, we felt like we were talking to a friend. He listened to us rant, offered advice, and always kept us laughing. In our conversations, Jeff really shined when he talked about photography. He often explained the why behind everything he did and made sure to incorporate our creative vision and our comfort level during any brainstorming session.
Now that the wedding is over, we feel incredibly grateful that we not only gained wonderful photos, but a new friend as well. Thank you, Jeff!!
Finding the perfect wedding photographer can feel like a shot in the dark, until you meet someone truly special like Jeff. He was an absolute dream to work with at the Jersey Shore...
wedding. Super easy to get along with and genuinely fun to be around, Jeff helped us relax and soak in every moment. The photos? Everything we hoped for and way more. Pure magic we’ll cherish forever. Couldn’t recommend him enough!
Wow, what a great wedding photographer!
Jeff photographed our 2017 wedding at the Olde Mill Inn in New Jersey and was such a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Jeff was ...
a lot of fun to be around, bringing great energy to the day while always staying polite, respectful, and professional. He was clearly very well organized, which helped everything run smoothly and kept us relaxed and present in the moment. There were many moments throughout the day where I and my bride-to-be felt overwhelmed, or like we didn't know what we were supposed to do next. Luckily, we had the right guy. Jeff literally knew what questions I was going to ask before I asked them. And was able to assuage any concerns or anxieties as soon as they popped up. He even went above and beyond assisting with my wife's elderly guests.
I can not express enough how grateful we are that we chose Jeff, and would highly recommend him to any couple looking for a photographer on their wedding day. I know people who made the wrong decision with their wedding photographer and it is their biggest regret. Jeff is someone you can trust completely with your day, and relax knowing that you are in competent, and capable hands.
We hired JeffVee as our wedding photographer and he exceeded every expectation! From the first call and to the final gallery delivery, Jeff was incredibly professional, organized, ...
and creative. He made the whole experience stress free, fun, and that’s for camera shy people like us!
The quality of Jeff’s work is outstanding. Every photo captured the emotion, lighting, and tiny details that made our day special. His ability to balance candid, natural moments with beautifully composed portraits is something you don’t find often.
We were amazed at how quickly we received our preview gallery and blown away. If you’re looking for a talented, reliable, and genuinely kind wedding photographer in NJ, JeffVee is the guy. Highly recommended!

uper responsive too, which made planning and communication a breeze especially when some vendors are not. We’re so happy with how everything turned out and honestly can’t recommend him enough.

t together rather than posing for photos. He has such a great eye for detail and knew exactly how to capture us in a way that felt natural and true to who we are. From start to finish, the communication was professional and our photos turned out even better than we hoped! Full of emotion, and just so us. I can’t stop looking at them! We’ve actually hired him for a couple other events too now because he is kind, patient, and incredibly talented, and we’re so grateful for the memories he has captured for us. IMO Jeff Vee is among the best of New Jersey photographers!

e and enjoyable. Jeff traveled to the Jersey Shore for our engagement photos, and on our wedding day, he went to two different locations since my husband and I were getting ready separately. Even when our plans changed just a few days before the wedding, Jeff made it all work seamlessly and kept everyone on schedule!
He has great communication skills and made us feel so comfortable, especially during those nervous moments. Every photo came out picture-perfect — the lighting, the emotion, the little details — all captured beautifully. Our family and friends can’t stop raving about how amazing the photos turned out!
Jeff even went above and beyond by taking a short video of us at the church since we didn’t have a videographer, which was such a thoughtful touch. He also shot some photos on film that have a gorgeous vintage look — we absolutely love them.
Jeff truly made our wedding experience better than we could have imagined. We are so grateful for his talent, kindness, and professionalism. 100% recommend Jeff to anyone looking for a photographer who captures not just beautiful photos, but genuine moments.
Meeting Jeff has been such a joy, and I can honestly say there's no photographer quite like him. From our very first conversation, he completely changed the way we see photography....
His passion for people and his craft go hand in hand, and it shows in every photo he takes. Each image felt raw, real, and full of magic —moments we'll treasure forever.
Jeff was truly one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. He was there for us every step of the way-from the first call to the wedding day and even in the weeks after-always kind, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in us. We couldn't recommend him enough!
