About this vendor
I’m Jason — owner and lead filmmaker of Jay Blick Films (formerly Big Day Productions), which is a fancy way of saying: I’m the guy behind the camera capturing your best day ever.
I specialize in creating wedding films that feel as genuine as your vows and as cinematic as your favorite movie. From lakefront elopements in Northern Michigan, to downtown Detroit celebrations and destination “I dos,” I’m all about documenting the real stuff — the laughter, the happy tears, the awkward dance moves, and the magic in between.
My style? Timeless with personality. Candid, not cheesy. Classy, but fun.
Your film should feel like you — not like a template.
When I’m not filming, I’m usually editing with way too much coffee, scouting out great lighting, or convincing my couples they’re absolutely not awkward on camera (seriously, you’re not).
Whether you're getting married in Michigan or beyond, I’d be honored to help tell your story — with heart, humor, and a little cinematic flair.

Jason filmed our wedding early June 2023, in Cadillac Mi. I was referred to him by my best friend whose wedding he also filmed. Jason is a perfectionist. From l...
eading up to the wedding with a couple of face time calls for planning and to keep us excited about our big day. something i truly enjoyed about Jason is he is a Family man and a wonder father of two daughters and as a bride it truly shows he just loves being apart of weddings and capturing a brides dream wedding day. Jason went above and beyond for us and look a leap of a new adventure of capturing our entire wedding weekend from fun festivities Friday during the day, to rehearsal dinner at night to the after party of the rehearsal dinner and our entire wedding day. capturing our entire weekend in an amazing way . i cannot express how thankful i am to have had him all along the way.
Jason filmed our wedding video and we could not be happier from start to finish! From day 1, Jason was available to answer questions and he Zoomed with us multiple times to discuss...
and help us with our day-of timeline and our vision! Even though our wedding day was the first time we actually met Jason in person, it felt like he was our BFF. He gave us the perfect way to keep reliving our best day ever. If you’re looking for a videographer who will take the time to get to know you, offer support before and throughout your day, and deliver a video that perfectly fits your personalities, consider your search over! At the end of the night, my maid of honor said, “If I ever get married, I’m calling you.” Be like our MOH and do the same!
Jason did amazing technical and artist work for our wedding!
I was hesitant to hire a videographer but ultimately decided to because I wanted to be able to watch the day unfold and see what I was missing by rushing around. It was one of the ...
best decisions I made, and I got extra lucky by having Jason! He offered so much helpful advice on things I wouldn't have thought about and was quick to respond to everything. Jason is extremely personable and makes it easy and fun to be recorded all day - even for those who hate being recorded. Both of our videos were ready to be downloaded in two weeks and were phenomenal! I would recommend Big Day Productions to everyone for their big day!
Jason was absolutely amazing. Our conversations with him leading up to our wedding were great. He had all of our information in order, and made our wedding planning process with hi...
m super easy. He got in touch with our Photographer, so we didn’t have to worry about connecting them on our own. The day of, he was great. Jason was so friendly, easy to work with, and made us feel so confident! We’re not comfortable being in front of a camera and being the center of attention, and he made us feel AMAZING. He was our own cheerleaders, letting us know how great the ceremony went, that he got really great footage for our video, and that we looked great. Jason worked really well with our photographer (who he had never worked with before). He was willing to stay the entire day to make sure all important parts were captured (and he sure did capture them).
After our wedding, we received our trailer video in less than a week, and our entire 8 minute film in less than two weeks! Such quick turnaround. And wow…nothing was left “uncaptured.” The amount of people that reached out to us to compliment our featurette film was crazy. It was all anyone was talking about for weeks. People were telling us it was the best wedding video they’ve ever seen. We truly thought that every important moment of our day was captured. The quality of the video, and audio quality was top notch.
When it came to receiving our ceremony video and toasts video (full ceremony recording) we were expecting to just get a one shot camera viewing of our ceremony and toasts. What we received was a multiple-angle camera shot video. There were voice overs, showing my reaction when my husband was reading his vows, and vice versa. It was AMAZING. Way more than we expected.
So overall, I could write 5 more paragraphs on how great of an experience we had with Big Day Productions. Worth every penny we spent, and we will be recommending Jason and raving about him for the rest of our lives!
Jason is absolutely amazing! I can’t say enough good things about him! He even went and scoped out the area we were getting married for picture location opportunities. He was super...
communicative and did a great job of directing day of. He captured all the moments we envisioned. We loved his work, that we also tagged on another video after we saw our featured video. He is a local, family guy, that shows in his work how passionate he is. Jason makes you feel like you are long lost friends and is there for you throughout your wedding journey. I would book with him NOW!
Jason was so easy and professional to work with! He responded to my initial email within a couple hours and was so accommodating when it came to working within our budget. He had o...
ur sneak peak ready within 4 days and our final video done in one week. We were blown away at not only how fast he got it done but also how amazing the video turned out. We will forever recommend him to everyone and cannot thank him enough!
We ran in to Jason when he arrived early at the venue to capture B-roll footage, and from then on out, he proved to be everything we could hope for in a wedding videographer and mo...
re. He professionally captured everything we were looking for, and served as a wonderful support throughout the entire process (always willing to serve as the lookout when the groom was on the move to ensure he didn't see the bride too soon!). When it came to the ceremony, he was able to capture EVERYTHING, despite the lighting conditions being tough in a darker theater. He then went on to grab great footage from photos and the reception, perfectly capturing the tone and happiness that everyone was feeling throughout the night. And the turnaround on both the teaser trailer and the video itself was VERY quick! We (along with our families) have rewatched our video too many times to count, and will continue to do so for the rest of our lives. You will be so happy if you hire Big Day Productions!
Best videographer ever he’s so unique with the interviews gives it such a nice touch to your special day! Jason is a nice guy and very fun to work with you won’t regret booking him...

Highly recommended. Jason did a wonderful job!
A friend recommended us to Big Day Productions when we began looking for a videographer for our wedding. We cannot say enough good things about Jason and the video footage we have...
received. We had to reschedule from June to November and had to make multiple changes due to COVID. Jason was beyond flexible and accommodated our every request. In addition to capturing amazing video for us, he was a fun person to share our day with which was a huge bonus. We highly recommend Big Day Productions for any wedding or event. Thank you so much!
Jason was very profesional and more respectful and fun than we could of imagined. He was full of good ideas and we were very happy with our results. My husband and I would for sure...
recommend him to anyone who needed a camera man.
Loved the highlight video of our wedding day!
Jay was amazing to work with! Friendly, professional, accommodating, and captured our day perfectly. We are so happy with our video and so thankful we found him. Highly recommend!!...

Jason Blickensdorf is the best in the business! I have been to many weddings and I have not met 1 videographer with as much personality, adaptability, and professionalism as he ...
had!
He has a gift of knowing where to be at the right time and captures everything...not just the sentimental moments, but all of the humor, shout outs and so many things you did not get to see because of how busy your day is!
This job fits him like a glove and I would highly recommend booking him before he's booked up...he's worth every penny!
I can honestly say his video he made for us is the 1 video my wife and I still watch at least once a year!
Thanks so much for helping give us a memory that last forever!
My videographer did not respond to emails and failed to show the day of my wedding. I contacted Big Day productions the day of our wedding and they remarkebly was able to get ther...
