When my husband and I decided to get married at Smith Lake in Alabama, we didn’t realize we did not have a local pastor close by until half way through planning. We found James on the knot one night at the dinner table and reached out. From that moment forward, it was our biggest blessing for our wedding day! We did 3 sessions of pre-martial counseling which we still refer to daily. James crafted the most beautiful ceremony that exceeded every expectation we could’ve dreamed of. It was Christ centered full of love, truth, and Joy from the Lord.  Additionally, he heard all of our request we wanted to be apart of the ceremony and made it so specific and special to US as a couple. I would 10/10 recommend him to any bride and groom looking for someone to be a small part (but leaving a huge impact) on your big day. We will never forget our ceremony and how comfortable we felt in that moment due to trusting Jamie and his work.

Despite having our ceremony time documented and confirming the start time with him on several occasions, we had also signed a contract, yet he confused our ceremony time with one two hours later and never arrived. What made the situation even more frustrating was that James had specifically told me not to worry if I didn’t hear from him during the week of the wedding. Because of that reassurance, I had no reason to believe there was an issue or that he might not show up. We spent months planning our wedding, and having such an important part of our day fall through was incredibly disappointing. His absence disrupted multiple aspects of our wedding and created stress and last-minute changes that took away from moments we had looked forward to for so long. Your wedding day is something you can never get back, and the impact of his absence went far beyond the ceremony itself. James did fully reimburse us, which I appreciate, but that does not undo the disappointment or disruption we experienced. I genuinely wish things had gone differently, but I believe future couples deserve to know about our experience when choosing someone to be part of such an important day.

y embarrassing. The couple reached out to me before the start and my phone was on dnd. I saw the message as I was leaving to what I thought was the correct time. I immediately refunded the entire amount paid to me. With over 23 years of experience - this was a first and I am truly sorry. We are taking some additional steps at booking to ensure no other couple has to deal with this type of failure.

Jamie was absolutely amazing to work with! We discussed what my husband and I did and did not want included in our ceremony and the results were better than we could have imagined....
Although I’m sure we were not the easiest group to work with, he stood by offering help and advice, was extremely personable yet professional during the entire experience, and all in all, we are so thankful to have had him officiate our wedding.
