Jacoby Photo + Design

little shy around the camera, and Jacoby helped us feel confident and at ease. She captured the day, from slowly getting ready at our home to the intimacy of our ceremony to the raucous dance floor, so well. Jacoby texted a handful of previews our way the day after our wedding, sent us a highlights video within a week, and our whole gallery before even a month had gone by! Jacoby was easy to work with on the day of, had everything in hand, and got everything done so fast. I’ll be reaching out to Jacoby for all future photography needs!

me to her profile! We absolutely fell in love with Jacoby's photography style -- how her photos tell a story and carry so much emotion. We instantly knew we wanted her to photograph our wedding. Getting your photo taken can feel awkward and clumsy -- Jacoby provided great direction when we needed it and made us feel (and look!) comfortable in front of the camera. Jacoby is so genuine and incredibly kind and it was an absolute joy to work with her. Oh, and our wedding pictures turned out better than we could have ever imagined! Thank you so much, Jacoby!!! We'll definitely be seeing you for future family photos =)

assistant were fantastic throughout the day and made us feel very comfortable posing for photos. She knows how to capture each moment without the whole day feeling like a photoshoot. She was also very prompt getting us the edited photos. We got to see a sneak peak on our honeymoon and the full wedding album a few weeks later. We knew her photos would be fantastic but we were still amazed by how beautiful they turned out! We will definitely be recommending her to anyone we know getting married in the future.

e did our engagement photos and even helped us find our wedding venue! She is kind, engaging, professional and very organized. She takes the time to get to know each couple, our story, and our priorities for photos. When she arrived on the wedding day she immediately brought calm and support. I felt like she was there for me to stay on schedule and fix any stray hairs. She was also very efficient with family photos so we did not waste time before heading to the reception. She took incredible photos that we will cherish for a lifetime. She had edited first look photos back within days and our entire album back in just 2-3 weeks. Her assistant was also incredible! 1000/10 would recommend Jacoby to anyone who needs photos in STL.

available for our wedding date. She kept us on task prior to the big day by asking for all of the important timeline details ahead of time. Most importantly though, she was amazing to have along for the day. Not only are her photos amazing (see below) but she was super laid back which I love. My friends just loved her too! My husband and I cannot say enough wonderful things about her and the process. Thank you Jacoby!!!!

camera-shy and awkward in front of the lens, but she made us feel completely at ease. Her thoughtful approach to our timeline, warm personality, and incredible attention to detail created an experience that was not only stress-free but genuinely fun. She took the time to get to know us and our vision, and she captured our wedding perfectly! She blended into the background when needed, yet was there with gentle guidance when we needed help posing or corralling family members. The results were absolutely stunning—beyond anything we could have imagined. She has a true gift for storytelling through her photography!!

olutely perfectly! Every time I open our wedding gallery I have a new favorite picture and it’s because Jacoby not only takes excellent traditional wedding photos but has a knack for the most special candid moments. She is so professional and organized! She also worked with our day of coordinator to make sure everything went smoothly. Jacoby and her second photographer were very kind and patient to all members of our wedding party and both families. I cannot recommend Jacoby enough and I smile thinking about how happy her future clients will be when they open their wedding albums!

as our photographer. She was professional, laid back, and kind. Jacoby’s ability to capture candid moments is incredible. We were so happy to receive so many candid photographs from our wedding day. The day went by so fast and having photos that make you feel like you can relive the day is exactly what Jacoby delivered. Jacoby and her second photographer captured so many candid moments that we missed and I’m thankful we have those to look back on for years. Jacoby not only delivered amazing photographs but she was also fun to be around. It felt like she was a friend hanging out with our bridal party which helped make me and my husband more relaxed and it showed in the pictures. She is detail oriented and prepared a timeline for the day which was very helpful. Jacoby was efficient getting all the specific pictures we requested, while also making the process fun. I highly recommend Jacoby!

a major focus for her is capturing nostalgic and timeless photos that we can look back on the rest of our lives, and that’s something I find so important. Candids are always my favorite types of pictures during photo shoots that can sometimes feel so staged, and Jacoby captures these moments so flawlessly. Even during staged or more formal poses, she makes you so relaxed and in the moment where you forget you’re actually being photographed. We used her for our engagement photos multiple times and on the wedding day, and she followed us through our wedding process frequently checking in and seeing how we’re doing. The entire wedding day went so smooth and most importantly stress-free so my husband and I could just take it all in without focusing on the little details, which was largely in part due to Jacoby keeping us on track. Last but certainly not least, her photos are jaw dropping. She captures the day perfectly and you are literally able to relive the entire day just through her pictures. We cannot wait to use her for family photos in the future. 100000000/10 recommend Jacoby.

e day felt. Every time we look at our wedding photos we are instantly transported back to the day and get the chance to relive it all again. Jacoby is incredibly communicative and really gets to know you throughout the planning process. She also had our photos back to us in record time (less than 2 weeks for our entire album). She is also so fun to work with and feels like a friend at the end of the experience. We cannot recommend her enough.

id search far and wide to review other options, even interviewing/reviewing full albums from other photographers, however, even after all this, the decision was still very clearly Jacoby. We booked her literally the day she opened her books up for the year. Our first time chatting with her was very relaxed, warm, welcoming. I felt very comfortable talking to her about our vision and wants. I feel like she heard us. We initially planned for just wedding coverage, with 8 hours of coverage. However, leading up to the wedding, we decided that we additionally wanted to add on an engagement shoot (for memories, to see how my makeup trial would photograph, and to spend more time with Jacoby prior to the wedding). She ABSOLUTELY blew us away. From how fun our hour together was, to how easy posing using her cues/prompts was, to getting our photos back only EIGHT days after our shoot, everything was perfect. The photos, oh my god they were perfect! More than I could've ever imagined. Leading up to our wedding, she did an excellent job of communicating with us and with our wedding planner to come up with a perfect timeline, incorporating all the specific photos that we requested. Day of, Jacoby and her second photographer Nathan brought a light, playful, fun energy. They were able to be flexible when we inevitably fell off our initially planned timeline. They were ready to silently/secretly capture sweet/quiet/intimate moments but also easily commanded the room to capture formal portraits when time was limited, at times even dealing with very strong personalities in a very graceful way. She sent us a handful of photos only TWO days after the wedding, then a sneak peak album in LESS THAN TWO WEEKS, with our final gallery coming in ONLY THREE WEEKS after the wedding. The variety of photos we received was incredible. Two months after our wedding, and I still find myself peaking at them almost daily, feeling the same warmth, happiness, and love we did that day. I love that each picture tells a story and takes us right back to the moment. I will cherish these memories forever. I could not recommend Jacoby enough!

k with. She made the process so easy and everyone raved about our photos. She is truly talented and we were blown away by the pictures and moments she was able to capture. We never get tired of looking over our photos from our wedding day. You will NOT regret working and choosing Jacoby!! Could not recommend using her more for your engagement & wedding!

communicative - we knew exactly what to expect every step of the way. On the day of our wedding, she was very easy to work with and a calming presence throughout the entire day. She was flexible with the shots we wanted while also guiding us when we needed help during our portrait sessions. The candids from the day are absolutely stunning - she is super stealthy and we actually had a few people tell us they didn’t think we had hired a photographer because they didn’t notice her during the ceremony. We are completely blown away by our gallery. We are so grateful for her beautiful work and will cherish these pictures forever!!

, and professionalism to the chaos of wedding planning. She picked distinct spots for our engagement and pre-wedding pictures, seamlessly worked with our venue, planner, and vendors, and was kind and courteous to all our friends and family. But most importantly, she helped us have fun! We never felt stressed with Jacoby or her team and that let us be carefree and enjoy the day. We really appreciate the way she captured so many small moments that really made up our wedding day. Going through pictures afterward was such a joy because it helps us relive the day, and we can always come back to her photos and remember a different moment. We got so many compliments from friends and family about how wonderful all of our pictures were, and that truly made us realize that Jacoby was the perfect photographer for our wedding! Hire her for your upcoming event or just as an excuse to get some wonderful photos!

gh to work with Jacoby on our engagement photo shoot (which she nailed!), so we were already super comfortable with her by the time our wedding rolled around. I was drawn to her ability to capture organic moments throughout the day as opposed to super staged, posed photos. The in-the-moment photos she took of each our parents especially are invaluable to us. I would hire her and her team again in a heartbeat!

t ease instantly, and we felt totally comfortable giving her creative control in the locations and compositions of our posed shots. At the same time, Jacoby has a gift for capturing those special candid moments between friends and family, and we have loved reliving our wedding day through her eyes. The photos themselves are absolutely wonderful. We will treasure them, and the memories of our wedding day, for many years to come.

candids from the day. The candids are especially special to me of my dad and me. She is very communicative and speedy with edits! I've already recommended her to many friends, and I hope to use her for our life events in the future!!

tiful images to last a lifetime. That was Jacoby Photo & Design! Jacoby made us feel confident and calm on a day that was filled with nerves. Many of our friends and family even pointed out how amazing she was from their interactions. What’s even better is she’s a genuinely good person who cares about her clients. We wish we could take her to the PNW with us so she could be our photographer for life. She’s just that good. Thank you, Jacoby, for everything! We can’t recommend her enough!

uring the whole wedding day experience, including the unexpected yet beautiful moments that few people even notice. Now looking back at our photos, we am so amazed at how they can make us transport back to that day and feel exactly what we was feeling in the moment, and we can see how joyful and memorable the wedding celebration was for all of our family and friends. My husband and I will treasure these memories forever and can’t wait to have Jacoby continue capturing moments of our lives in the future. If you are considering Jacoby for wedding photos, you have my full recommendation! Best photographer in STL!

e emotion and capture the little moments that you want to remember for ages. If you want timeless yet artistic photos she is your photographer! She captures all of the big and small moments; in particular the moments that will have you saying “oh, I’m so happy someone caught this candid!” It’s been almost three months since our wedding and people are STILL commenting on how amazing our photos are. We love Jacoby so much and we will truly treasure her photos for years to come. We look forward to booking Jacoby on our next big milestone!

exactly that. I loved the color, joy, and high professionalism exuded in our photos, and was thrilled to have more than just posed, formal portraits. Jacoby's easy demeanor and laid back attitude (but incredibly organization and knowledge of our spaces) made us feel she wasn't intrusive in the slightest, which can be a big feat for a wedding photographer. She is so very talented and we'll treasure our pictures forever!

o capture our relationship and convey it through pictures- her talent is undeniable. Thank you Jacoby!

NOT want to lose you! I love the pictures of my parents, my dad and I’s first look, my brother and I’s hug, and Chris’s face when I came down the aisle. Candids are really the best part of reliving an experience. Your knowledge of working with the always delayed wedding timeline and large groups of people was unmistakeable. Thank you for letting us keep the magic of that day forever.

she was an absolute dream to work with. Not to mention the photos were above and beyond my expectations and I am absolutely in love with them (which says a lot coming from someone who absolutely hates pictures of themselves). She made us feel so at ease and the experience actually really fun. Would highly highly recommend!!

e never actually met Jacoby in person until our wedding day. When we did meet her, it felt like we'd worked with her 100 times before. I feel like my husband and I aren't always the most photogenic, but she captured the day wonderfully and managed to make us look amazing! She was so organized and great to work with and has a very calming presence. 11/10 Highly recommend!!!!

r 2 years (from time of engagement photos to our wedding, which was postponed a year due to COVID), and we couldn't have asked for a better photographer! She is kind, thoughtful, organized, laid back and a pro at what she does. It felt like Jacoby anticipated our needs, sending us little notes to check in on us along the way and providing a wedding day planning timeline. Everyone felt so comfortable working with her on wedding day, and she kept things moving and kept us on track! Not surprisingly, our photos turned out absolutely amazing, and it's hard to even pick favorites because they're all so good! Jacoby captured every important moment and emotion of the day beautifully. We will treasure our photos for years to come and highly recommend Jacoby to anyone! She's the best!

raphed. My (now) husband and I deliberated long and hard on which photographer to go with, and ultimately landed wanting to go with Jacoby given she seemed (based on the photos we saw on her website/on the knot) to have a very unique talent for capturing very “raw” and “real” action shots that fully capture all the emotions and good stuff. And BOY are we happy we went with Jacoby as our wedding photographer! She was professional, helpful, and overall delightful to work with. We planned our wedding from afar so did not get to meet Jacoby in real life until the day of our wedding, though had an introductory phone call and another planning call a few weeks prior to the wedding (both of these calls further solidified our interest in Jacoby as she was clearly very organized and professional, and had a really nice, comfortable demeanor about her in these interactions). Working with Jacoby on the day of the wedding was a dream come true. She kept the schedule, and captured soo many magical moments. My husband and I were absolutely THRILLED with how our wedding photo album came out - when we sat down to look the photos together, i don’t think we stopped smiling for 2 hours as we looked through them all. The gallery is breathing taking, jaw dropping, just extraordinary! We were so blown away and “wow-ed” by them, and the photos made us feel we were re-living our favorite day ever. From the still frames to the action shots, we love our wedding photos even more than we imagined we would. A heartfelt thank you Jacoby Photography - we are grateful now and will continue to be grateful for decades to come as we cherish these photos over the years of our marriage! Without reservation, my husband and I *highly* recommend using Jacoby Photographer!

er was requesting. As a slightly nervous bride on the morning of she made me feel calm as we walked to do our first look. She sent us some sneak peeks soon after our wedding and I was blown away by how beautifully they captured our moment. We extended our time with Jacoby so she could really capture a lot of the dancing portion of the evening and she did not disappoint. From the posed pictures that don't feel at all posed to the truly candid moments, Jacoby beautifully captured the glowing happiness we felt on our wedding and I'm so appreciative of her work. I only wish that we lived in St. Louis so we could continue to work with her for future life moments and events!

like you're meant to be in front of the camera. She is also fantastic at controlling rowdy groomsmen! We are so happy that we chose Jacoby and hope you do too!

l emails. She made me feel reassured and confident that our wedding day would be captured perfectly from beginning to end! And her turn around on editing was so fast, we had our whole album within two weeks, and the pictures themselves were absolutely stunning. Honestly cannot recommend her enough for all your photography needs!

with. It was a no brainer to choose Jacoby based solely on what I had seen of her amazing work, but on top of that she was extremely helpful in her communications, showed genuine care and consideration for us as a couple, and was all around just a breeze to work with. We have gotten SO MANY compliments on how stunning our pictures turned out. I really appreciate how she used the features of our venue to amplify our photos to the next level. I cannot wait to have another reason to reach back out to Jacoby and work with her again!

h us through our nerves on the big day. I would definitely recommend working with her!

e as a "Covid bride," Jacoby was an absolute ally to me. She was so receptive to every idea and concern we had as we planned and re-planned our wedding, and her ideas were essential to us being able to have a meaningful wedding day despite the craziness in the world. As for Jacoby as a photographer, there are so many things to love about working with her: her creativity, her quick response times to all our questions, her ability to make anyone and everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera, but most of all her sense of what will make the photos special memories for the couple. Not only did we love working with Jacoby, but our family members and wedding party have also had so much to say about how pleasant she made wedding day photos for them. To know Jacoby is to love her and everything about the way she approaches her business. If you have a chance to work with Jacoby, we can't recommend her highly enough!

ner, but Jacoby helped us create a timeline to stay organized. Her communication was stellar, and she was able to provide many great suggestions from her years of experience. On our wedding day Jacoby had such a calm energy that put me and my husband at ease, and I know that played a role in capturing so many special moments. Her turn-around time to show me previews and then the full album was also faster than I could have imagined! I will cherish the photos Jacoby captured for the rest of my life. Thank you Jacoby!!!!

is beautiful and despite it raining our entire wedding day, she capture some beautiful photos. Her editing style was exactly what I was looking for and she captured some awesome moments that still bring tears to my eyes when I see the photos. She was attentive to details throughout the wedding day. The overall experience of working with Jacoby is exceptional. I would recommend working with her for your wedding or any event where you would need photos. She is fun to work with and brings good energy to the day!

ost with photos was up a week later, and I got all my photos only TWO weeks after our wedding. She is so thoughtful and we received little gifts throughout leading up to our wedding. She is very organized and helped me with my timeline and other questions I had. I will forever recommend her to everyone I know.

ent and wedding photographs. She is extremely easy to work with, super creative, and takes exceptional pictures. Jacoby helped us feel comfortable in front of the camera and made our engagement and wedding photos a lot of fun. We can't recommend her enough!

as who I wanted around me all day to document our wedding. She and Macklin were so easy to work with and produced beautiful pictures. 1 month later, we still look at them everyday and have a smile on our face. Thank you, Jacoby!

r both and engagement session and for the wedding, and could not be happier with the entire experience. From being amenable to negotiations on our package to making us feel completely at ease during the sessions to a quick turnaround both times with GORGEOUS pictures to capture our love, I feel like a Jacoby evangelist these days to anyone who will listen. Hire her - you will thank yourself for years to come!

e knew we HAD to have Jacoby! She was so helpful, and the whole process was so smooth, from start to finish. She immediately gets your vibe and puts you at ease. Our engagement pictures are amazing, and we get so many compliments! Jacoby is so great at making you feel relaxed and comfortable. I am a person who feels awkward posing for pictures, but she makes it fun and it looks so natural. As the wedding day neared, she was always available to answer any questions, which I had a lot of! Jacoby helped us plan all of the wedding day events to ensure the timing of everything was perfect and we didn't miss any pics. Jacoby is so flexible and supportive. We have a huge family, and Jacoby was so accommodating with all of our photo requests, which we so appreciate. She made sure we had every single shot of endless family combinations. And the pictures are awesome - we LOVE them. Jacoby's husband, Macklin, also helped photograph on the wedding day, and he is wonderful, as well! They are an amazing team and take beautiful pictures! We had so many shots of the guests at the wedding/reception that we never expected to have, but we are so grateful we do! Just another added benefit of working with them. We cannot recommend Jacoby enough!!

le, the lighting, the creative feel. I had dreamed of what my wedding photos would look like for years, so I knew she was the one who could deliver. She delivered and then some! She was a pleasure to work with and we were able to share ideas for unique photos. She knows what areas/lighting looks best so we trusted her with all the details and we are so glad we did! We couldn’t be more thrilled with our photos. If you are looking for a sign - here it is! Choose Jacoby, you will be happy you did!

through it beautifully. I'm so grateful that we chose her to be our photographer, because with all of the wedding stress and wedding greatness the day went by SO quickly - and now I'm able to treasure these photos. She captured lovely moments between my grandparents and my friends and my in-laws that I wasn't able to see because I was busy being the bride, and I'm so grateful to have all of these amazing, curated images of the day. We did the 6 hour package, and if I were to do it again, I'd either hire her for longer or do a package wit her photography partner (her husband!) so that we could capture more of the guests and moments at our large-ish wedding. TL;DR hire her, she's great!

fe's special moments. We hired Jacoby and Macklin, Jacoby's husband and photographer #2 in the 2 photographer package, to document our wedding and could not be happier. The photos turned out perfect and we would definitely recommend for photographing any life event.

but can also take control of a group and keep things moving. She is all about the details and is 100% on top of her game. I am still shocked that she is so young but so amazingly talented. She got our pictures back so fast and they are stunning. I look at them daily :) HIRE HER!

wonderful photographer but also just an amazing person to work with. She truly cares about your wedding day and makes the day so much easier and stress free because she has so much experience. She was a huge help with our wedding day timeline and made suggestions/recommendations on what she thought would work best. I think the most common thing we heard from our wedding party/family was that you almost forget she's there with you all day! She is not pushy at all and is truly there to document your day and help make you feel comfortable. I really can't say enough great things about her! Would also highly recommend doing your engagement photos through her as well, she is super fun to work with and every single one of our photos has turned out beautifully.
