fore my appointment, Madison, the shop owner, was incredibly helpful in answering all of my questions and reassuring me that the dress I wanted was still available. When I arrived, I was warmly greeted by Ravi and my stylist, Georgia. The dress I came for was already waiting for me in my dressing room, but before we got started, Georgia encouraged me to pick out a few additional gowns to try on. At first, I was a little hesitant, but I'm so glad I trusted her advice. As beautiful as the dress I originally came for was, it just wasn't the one. I was a little disappointed, but because Georgia had me try on other styles, I ended up finding the dress I said "yes" to! It was one of their private label gowns, which I never would have discovered online if I hadn't visited the boutique. I'm so grateful I found J. Majors! The entire experience was wonderful from start to finish. Their customer service was top-notch, and they have a beautiful selection of gowns at an affordable price point. I highly recommend them to any bride looking for a personalized and memorable dress shopping experience.

I would find my wedding dress. So, when I got engaged, dress shopping was one of the parts of wedding planning I was most excited about. I had an appointment earlier that day at a different bridal boutique that left me feeling somewhat anxious and discouraged. I was honestly shocked that I was struggling to find my dress, and by the end of the day, I had started to wonder if I was even going to find what I had been envisioning all this time. I didn’t have an appointment scheduled, it was late in the afternoon, my mom and I were exhausted, and I fully expected to be turned away. Instead, Madison welcomed us in with such kindness, and from the moment we walked through the door, she and Angelina completely changed the course of my bridal shopping experience. Madison and Angelina both gave me this immediate sense that they were determined to help me find exactly what I was looking for. Madison went above and beyond helping me bring my ideas to life, carefully pinning and adjusting the gown so I could actually get an idea of what my customizations would look like. Instead of simply describing the possibilities, she took the time to show me, which made all the difference and helped me feel completely confident in my decision. Every bride wants to feel special while shopping for her wedding dress, and Madison and Angelina definitely made me feel like a VIP throughout the entire experience. What started as a stressful and disappointing day became everything I had hoped wedding dress shopping would be. I left feeling excited, confident in my decision, and with a memory I will cherish forever. Something else that I love about J.Major’s is that they have an open inventory. Being able to browse the dresses myself and see the pricing made the experience feel transparent and helped me feel confident I wasn't missing out on a dress simply because it hadn't been pulled for me. J. Major's is a family-owned bridal boutique with a BEAUTIFUL selection of dresses, and the level of service they provide is absolutely exceptional. Madison and Angelina went above and beyond for me, and I will always be grateful for the role they played in such a special moment.

She listened to my initial ideas, paid close attention to my reactions, and ultimately pulled the exact dress I said yes to. It wasn't a dress I would have grabbed for myself, but her attentiveness and experience led her right to it. She was calm, encouraging, and made me feel respected and cared for in a completely stress-free environment. • Above-and-Beyond Customer Care (Ravi): When I came back for my initial try-on once the dress arrived, I was a little stressed because it was very large on me and didn't fit my shape yet. Ravi went above and beyond to ensure I felt comfortable and confident that alterations would make it perfect. He recommended a tailor, and he was completely right—the final fit was absolutely perfect! Ravi even checked in with me multiple times afterward to ensure everything turned out okay and to offer any extra help I might need. • The Extra Touches: They generously included a complimentary pair of earrings of my choice to take home with the dress. I also went back for a separate accessories appointment, and they helped me choose a beautiful veil that complemented my dress flawlessly. I would highly, highly recommend J. Major's to any and all brides looking for an amazing, personalized wedding dress shopping experience. Overall, love, love, love!

he styles and designers are European (I love their fashion!) and I really loved the wide variety of options. I had my appointment with Madison and she was wonderful! I’m having a destination wedding and moving out of the country and she accommodated for me to get my dress before I leave. It’s taking about 2.5 months which is so incredibly quick! They will definitely accommodate to your needs and do the best to help you. Couldn’t recommend enough!!

new it was where I wanted to go to find my dream dress. The staff is beyond kind and made me feel like an absolute princess. I was so nervous before my appointment, not sure how I would feel trying on dresses for the first time. They immediately put me at ease and made me feel so comfortable. Every dress was SO beautiful and I felt amazing in every single one! They ask for your Pinterest board ahead of time and pull similar dresses for you, which I loved. I had the most amazing time trying on wedding dresses there and could NOT recommend them enough!

I came in with a few ideas for my wedding dress and a tighter timeline, and Kelcie did an amazing job pulling options that fit exactly what I was looking for. She had me try a great range of dresses, and I ended up finding “the one” during my very first appointment. I truly can’t recommend J. Majors enough. door. Sydney, my stylist, was so helpful and easy to work with. She was patient, kind, and encouraging. She made me feel comfortable and confident, helping me find the perfect dress with her thoughtful suggestions and attention to my style preferences. It truly felt like she was just as invested in the experience as I was! She was also involved and extremely helpful during the whole process from my initial consultation, ordering, shipment, trial, and ordering my veil. The whole team and boutique makes you feel like a bride from the moment you walk in, and I am thankful for the J. Majors team for helping me find my dream dress!

. I found it because the dress designer I loved (all who wonder) was found here. Thus was my second dress shop I went too. Everyone was so nice. I am not the slimmest girl and the frist place dresses seemed smaller and these were more my size so I did not need the back exnsender clamp things wich helps in realy lovely a dress.

J Majors kept my dress safe in their store until I was ready to bring it home in early 2021 - they even squeezed me in on a busy Saturday for a try-on when I finally did pick my dress up (so I could remember what it looked like since it had been so long since I picked it out). After my wedding, Kaylyn helped me mail my dress out to be preserved. I think the most important part about my experience with J Majors was that they never once commented on my body size or type when I was trying on dresses. I had gone to another bridal boutique in Charlotte and the stylist kept commenting on how skinny the dresses made me look, or dramatically pinning me in the dresses to imply that the samples didn’t fit me - which made me really uncomfortable. J Majors kept my body size and shape out of the conversation when I was trying on dresses and I really appreciated that. I would recommend J Majors to all of my friends.

Major's enough for making the process an enjoyable one!

I actually wound up purchasing my dress here and the overall experience was wonderful. They do not have an in house seamstress but when I emailed to get a recommendation they replied within a few hours. The service was still great even after the purchase was made.

hrough the door I knew this would be different. The staff was so helpful, sweet and supportive. They made me feel comfortable and handed me tags to go place on any dress that I wanted to try on. I gave some to my girls and we were able to divide and conquer- I loved that! I think it was the second dress that I put on but I KNEW it was the one. The dress is stunning but I think it’s so important to feel comfortable and relaxed while going through this process to feel your best. The wonderful staff was not pushy but so supportive in that moment. The girl helping me even teared up! I honestly felt like all of the things that threw me off and stressed me out in my prior attempts at other bridal boutiques just came so naturally at J. Majors. It was their perfect combination of a sweet and professional staff, a relaxed and beautiful buzzing atmosphere and their incredible selection of gorgeous gowns to choose from. at another boutique, I still wanted to write a review on The Knot for fellow brides who are maybe just starting the hunt for the perfect dress! The associate who helped us, Rachel, was incredibly warm, welcoming, easy to talk to, and respectful of the style of dress I wanted (I had experiences elsewhere where I felt like the salesperson was trying too hard to push me to try on dresses that I simply didn't like in an effort to "have fun" and push me out of my comfort zone- thanks but no thanks). Rachel listened to me when I described my perfect dress, looked at photos I had saved as inspiration, and was incredibly helpful at guiding me to dresses that I immediately fell in love with. Also, I think it's important to note that this shop is very high-end and sophisticated, but not once did it have a 'stuffy' or self-important feel to it- Rachel and the shop owner and the other salesperson were kind, down-to-earth, and genuine. Nothing seemed fake or put-on. J. Majors truly set the bar VERY high for wedding dress shopping and showed us what the bridal gown try-on process should look and feel like! I cannot recommend this sweet boutique enough!!!

h such kindness and positive energy. I had tried on so many different dresses at various boutiques in the Charlotte-area, and none of them are what I had imagined my prefect dress to be. When I told my consultant, Rachel, what I was looking for, she immediately was able to pull 8 dresses that fit my wants. She then took her time to listen to my likes/dislikes and pull more based off of what she was hearing. It was the most personal interaction I had in my entire dress search. They never viewed me as a 'sale opportunity' but as a bride. If you are looking on finding your perfect dress and for amazing customer service, J. Major's is your place!

Their whole staff is great, and they sell some of the best designer dresses! I would without a doubt come back to buy a wedding dress. Overall experience was so amazing!

I was so nervous before my appointment that it would be stressful but Courtney and the entire staff at JMajors made it such a fun experience.

. At 5'7'" and a street size 6 I know that my measurements do not reflect well in pattern sizes. I even tried a bridal dress on that almost fit only to have them order a size 14 dress, ( at least 2 sizes up) - I knew it would be too large and told them so. However, I am not acquainted with the bridal industry and had hoped that the bridal shop and owner would make dress shopping an easy process. I wanted to keep within my budget and timeline. Both did not happen. The dress came in late and I had moved away and had to fly down to try on the dress for alterations. The dress was HUGE and I had to pay a large amount of money for alterations. I did have extra lace added to the dress for alterations but the dress was so large that the structure was changed due to sizing. The owner was very passive aggressive with an insincere apology. I was stunned that the cost of alterations cost was 1/3 of the cost of the entire dress. I had no idea this was an expectation of me with a bridal dress purchase . On the positive side, the owner of Anna's alterations could not have been more helpful with me. Her staff and the owner at Anna's alterations worked hard to help me with a dress which was delivered late and was very large and needed multiple alterations at what I deemed a high cost. So Brides, be warned before you go into this boutique. I felt I was duped and frustrated because of the experience and because the owner was less than empathetic and not willing to do anything to rectify the situation. I did find out later, that this is a new owner of this boutique. Thank goodness, I was familiar enough with sewing and knew what I was doing at Anna's. The lace looked fabulous and we restructured the bodice of the dress due to sizing and it looked better than before. I am very appreciative to those seamstresses.

It was perfect and everything I hoped it would be! All of the girls there were super friendly and helpful! They made sure I was comfortable and made me feel like a princess! The only downside I would say is that they do not have the largest selection in regards to dresses that are within the $1,000-$1,500 price range. If your budget is in that range you may not find your dream dress there.
