Iris Rose Photography

I’m Sara, the photographer and planner behind Iris Rose. I started this business because I wanted to build a life around creativity, connection and things that actually mean something. Photography brought me back to a creative part of myself I had missed, and weddings quickly became the place where so many things I love came together: people, emotion, beautiful details and moments you only get once. My approach is equal parts organized, down-to-earth and all-in. Whether I’m holding a camera or a timeline, I’m paying attention, staying a few steps ahead and making it easier for you to be present. I care about beautiful photographs, organized wedding days and making people feel comfortable throughout the process. Weddings can be stressful, so I also really value being the person who keeps things light, helps you feel at ease when everything around you feels a little chaotic and reminds you that this is supposed to be fun too. I’m the one making sure you eat, pulling hair ties off wrists, getting phones out of pockets and stepping in when a vendor or family member needs handling. Once I’m in go mode, I’m probably doing something that technically isn’t my job but absolutely needs to get done. Outside of weddings, I’m usually with my family, reading something, painting, working out or convincing myself I’m going to have a relaxing evening before finding another project to start. Sitting still has never really been my strong suit.
