ur wedding. No message from Lesley before hand, literally had to find out we had a new officiant by her just showing up under the assumption we were aware of the replacement. Lesley claimed after the fact that her main concern was finding us someone to officiate our wedding, so following the contract and service we had already paid for, what a nice gesture.. that was her excuse for lack of communication, couldn’t have sent the generic text you created on chat gbt before you were on a plane to Ireland? Instead waiting until the MORNING OF the wedding. Bringing up the stress of the issue all over again. Not the mention this is all after the replacement was sent to the rehearsal with the wrong script created for us, was sent the correct one; and still didn’t follow it.

My apologies that the change in officiant caused you stress so close to you...
r wedding. I have already acknowledged that I should have personally communicated the substitution sooner, and I take responsibility for that.
In my experience, canceling last minute (not for Ireland, never have been) would be even more stressful.
However, I do need to correct several statements in this review because they do not accurately reflect what happened.
Your replacement officiant was an experienced professional who was provided with your ceremony information and script. At Friday's rehearsal, she met with Emily personally and reviewed the ceremony in detail, including the processional, wedding party, witnesses, license signing logistics, pronunciation of the groom's last name, how you wished to be announced, and the ceremony language. Emily also reviewed the script directly with her and requested an additional passage regarding the symbolism of the colors used in the sand ceremony. Those requested details were incorporated.
The claim that she was sent with the wrong script and then failed to follow the correct one is also inconsistent with what occurred. She showed up an hour early for the wedding. In fact, when she noticed that the sand colors set up at the venue differed from what Emily had personally told her the night before, she stopped to verify the correct information before the ceremony.
I understand completely that you were disappointed that I was not personally able to officiate your wedding, and you are entitled to share that disappointment. I also understand that an unexpected change can be particularly stressful the day before a wedding. What I cannot agree with is a characterization suggesting that your ceremony was handed to an unprepared stranger with an incorrect script who did not follow your wishes. The documentation and firsthand account from your officiant simply do not support that.
Your ceremony was covered by an experienced officiant employed by my company. She attended your rehearsal, reviewed and updated your ceremony with you, arrived early, verified details when she found discrepancies, and performed the ceremony.
