Impulse Entertainment DJs

d beyond for their clients. Nick was so enthusiastic and helpful throughout the entire planning process, from every call to every check-in, and he paired us with the perfect DJ, John (aside from Nick himself, of course!). Their planning app was incredibly easy to use and extremely helpful throughout the process. We loved that we could work on everything little by little over time rather than having to tackle it all at once. Nick and his team were also very familiar with our venue, which gave us so much peace of mind knowing we were in such good hands. For the music, we gave John about 20–25 songs we wanted to hear and trusted him to fill in the blanks based on our selections and the vibe of the evening. He absolutely KILLED it with his music choices! We’ve had several guests tell us that John was the best wedding DJ they’ve ever had, and our dance floor was packed from the very beginning to the very end of the reception. He kept the energy going all night! We also used Impulse for our photobooth, and Susan was wonderful to work with. She was so accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure our vision came to life. The photobooth was such a fun addition to our reception, and we received so many compliments! It was also very helpful that there was a photobooth attendant present. We couldn’t have asked for a better team to help bring our wedding reception to life. Nick, Susan, and John were all incredible to work with, and we would recommend them to anyone looking for a DJ and photo booth team that will truly go above and beyond!

night and did such a great job.. no one wanted to leave the dance floor. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!!

o. At our first meeting he had us excited on a Wednesday night for our wedding that was months away. He has amazing energy! Every detail of our night was discussed prior to the day and executed perfectly. He allowed us to enjoy our night while guiding all of the guests through dinner, dances, and games. Nick knew what to play for us all night to keep as many people dancing as possible! He listened to all the specific details we asked for and knew exactly when to play Dancing Queen (:

he online system they use to record your timeline and song choices was very thorough and easy to use. Jeff was our DJ and he was so much fun. He kept our dance floor packed and energized all night by seamlessly mixing our requests with other great songs I didn’t even think to request. He also helped us stay on track with our timeline throughout the night which I couldn’t have done without his help. So many of our guests told us it was the most fun they’d ever had at a wedding. Absolutely would recommend working with Jeff and Nick to anyone!

all night! Can’t recommend impulse entertainment enough!

confident leading up to our wedding that everything would be perfect with them, and I was not wrong. We had Justin as our DJ on the day of and he was phenomenal! All the little extra details and personal touches they add along the way just made our experience that much better. Highly recommend!

il the end of the party. He met every expectation we had and then some! The app was also super helpful in getting us organized by the way. It made us think of most of a bunch of small details that may have slipped through the cracks and we thought that was extremely useful. Overall we couldn’t have been happier about how things went with Steve and Impulse Entertainment. Thanks for being a key part of the festivities!

tion and step by step instructions. They were always available if we had any questions and I could not recommend them more. Thank you again for everything!

was absolutely spot on, which kept the entire night flowing perfectly. Your energy, voice, and personality kept our guests engaged and the dance floor full all night long. What stood out most was how willing you were to help anywhere and with anyone throughout the evening — you went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. You can tell you genuinely cares about creating an amazing experience. Susan was also wonderful running the photobooth area! She was so friendly, helpful, and made the experience so much fun for our guests. We truly have zero complaints or regrets choosing you for our wedding day. Thanks again for everything! -Christina & Danny Marcolini 🩷

him. Throughout the night, several guests came up to me asking who he was and where I found him because they were so impressed. The dance floor was packed the entire night! We had the best time and would love to relive our wedding night all over again. Thank you for making our celebration so special!

ng our meetings. I would use their services again!

ve was our DJ for the wedding & he was so great to work with. Extremely responsive & detail oriented to make sure everything ran smoothly the day of & throughout the reception he made sure to check in with us to see how we were doing & how things were going. Our dance floor was packed the entire night & we are still receiving compliments from our guests about how great Steve was! He truly brought the best energy & made our night so fun & memorable. 1000/10 would recommend!

elpful to do that tasks assigned each month. The few weeks before he was extremely helpful and organized and helped us remain calm but also get excited. On wedding day he surpassed all expectations too! Our dance floor was going all night and we had the best day! Can't recommend enough!

ersonal level. The planning process was smooth and organized, and their team was responsive, helpful, and super easy to work. Nick did an incredible job reading the crowd and keeping the dance floor packed all night. The music flowed perfectly, and he struck the right balance between our requests and keeping guests engaged. The lighting completely transformed the reception space and created an amazing atmosphere. The photo booth was a huge hit with our guests and gave everyone a fun keepsake to take home while giving us a personalized guestbook. To top it off, Nick and Susan went out of their way to check in on us throughout the night. If you're looking for a wedding entertainment company that offers the complete package and is professional, reliable, and creates a memorable experience, hire Impulse Entertainment. They played a huge role in making our wedding day unforgettable.

c, and a huge part of that was the work that Nick and Gyl put into it. They gave us so much direction as people who obviously had never planned a wedding before and truly supported us in this whole process. Couldn’t have done it without them and HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking for DJs in the area! Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and very experienced at weddings all around. Gyl even stepped up and helped coordinate when the bridal party was figuring out where to go and what to do. 10/10. Can’t say enough about them!

st was very reasonable for all that we received. Nick's attitude and passion for what he does is infectious and his service was a 10 out of 10. We selected Jeff as our DJ and he was amazing too. He took our wish list and made sure everything we wanted to hear was played and he also added in some of his own suggestions and took some guest requests. The end result was a perfect blend of music that kept the dance floor full the whole night. He's super talented at mixing and blending which made it much more lively than if every song was played in its entirety. We also elected to have a photo booth. Paulina was our attendant working the booth and she was great too. Everyone had a blast taking candid group shots. We loved that the guests received a copy of the photo strip, one copy got pasted into an album for us to keep and a digital copy of everything was available online for us to download. Definitely worth having a booth at your wedding! Countless guests came up to us over the course of the night and told us it was the best wedding they had ever been to which was really nice to hear. All in all, Nick and team are just awesome! Don't waste your time looking around, go with Impulse Entertainment and you won't regret it.

or our big day. He created the perfect atmosphere—from a smooth and elegant dinner vibe to an energetic, packed dance floor all night long. His music selection was spot-on, seamlessly mixing our must-play songs with crowd favorites that kept everyone dancing. He read the room perfectly and knew exactly when to switch things up to keep the energy high. The transitions were flawless, and his sound quality and setup were top-notch. Beyond the music, Nick was fantastic to work with—friendly, responsive, and genuinely invested in making our night special. Nick was so attentive to our parents and asked them if they needed anything too! I also got compliments from my guests that were near the speakers, Nick checked in with them to make sure they were comfortable with the volume! He handled announcements with ease and kept everything flowing right on schedule without ever feeling rushed. We also had the photo booth add-on! It was awesome! All of our photos turned out great! I also appreciated the book where guests to sign! We received so many compliments from our guests about how amazing the DJ was! If you’re looking for someone who will go above and beyond to make your wedding reception incredible, we highly recommend Nick at Impulse Entertainment. Five stars all the way!

y special and stress free. Nick was extremely organized in the lead up to our wedding - providing helpful monthly reminders to help us select music for the various parts of our reception. Nick really took the time to get know us and our music preferences. He was detail oriented and not only checked in with us throughout the night, but our family members as well. He brought amazing energy to the reception and the music was perfect - our dance floor was packed all night. Nick also provided accent lighting, which complimented the rest of our decor so well. Susan did such a good job of running our photo booth - our guests really loved working with her throughout the night. My husband and I were so grateful that she reminded us to get our photos taken before the night was over! We cannot recommend Impulse highly enough - they were organized, had great communication, and brought the best energy to our reception. Thank you Nick & Susan!!

e was super to easy work with.

om planning and timelines to making sure every detail went smoothly on the big day. Nick went above and beyond and mashed up a song I really wanted to walk down the aisle to, and the way he put it together.... we still have chills thinking about it! He kept everything running seamlessly and took so much stress off our shoulders during dinner, which meant the world to us. He kept checking in with not only us, but both set of parents too & I thought that was incredible. The music was perfect, the dance floor was packed all night, and our guests are still talking about how amazing he was. I am a huge Taylor Swift fan and he surprised me with a mini eras tour mash up & I still am not over it!!! Truly top-tier service and an unforgettable part of our wedding day. You can stop your search for a DJ now, because there is truly no one better than Nick! ALSO huge shout out to Susan who helped with our photobooth all night! She was the sweetest and even helped with a mini wardrobe malfunction I had with my second dress before going out to the reception! Truly an amazing company and even better people. THANK YOU AGAIN for making our wedding incredible!!!!

. Jess, in the photo booth, was very kind. She helped our guests take the best photos. She even copied all the photos and had everyone create a scrapbook for us to remember the night. Nick was great help organizing everything for us. He created a couple of mixes and Mashups specifically for us that left the room amazed. Most importantly, they actually cared about my wife and me. I lost some close family members during the planning of this wedding. Cancer sucks. It was tough staying focused and positive the last couple of months leading up to the wedding. Nick and his team were patient, thoughtful, and kind. I couldn't recommend them enough. You'll be in the best hands.

ice in the area, and they both helped to put us at ease about the planning process.  Nick was so helpful with any questions I had, he gave great suggestions, and his overall energy and vibe was exactly what I needed. As soon as we got talking, I didn't feel like I was "just another client" -  I felt like he was genuinely interested in me as a person and what our vision was for our wedding day. Right away I knew he was the right person for the job, and if I could go back in time, I'd choose Impulse Entertainment again and again.  The app was amazing and super easy to use. I loved that I could input songs/playlists right from Spotify - this made it super easy for me to add the songs that we wanted. I also loved how much planning they put into the app itself -  all the various questions regarding speeches, blessing, wedding party, etc. - this template was super helpful and made a big chunk of the planning effortless.  And lastly, Ed ---- I mean wow. He was our guy for sure. I so appreciate his calm demeanor, and helping us feel comfortable and seen on the wedding day -  not just as bride and groom, but as real people. There were multiple times he would come up to us to check in to make sure we were good and to see if we needed anything - this meant a lot to me to have someone looking after us.  He was quick to think when we had family slideshows play - he was able to hook up another speaker -  since one of the chords didn't reach to my laptop. In this situation, he didn't waver or give any hesitance that he couldn't get the job done -  he took action and was able to figure it out --  we so appreciated this!!  Also, his improvisation during the dancing hours was amazing -  one notable moment was when some of our groomsmen had started to break dance on the floor - not only did he play the perfect music for them, but he also even did like a mini contest for them saying something like, "All right give it up for contestant number 1!!, number 2!!, number 3!!" It's hard to explain in words, but everyone was cheering and loved it -  it was such an impromptu moment and he handled it perfectly.  We are so amazed at the overall seamless experience of choosing Impulse Entertainment. We are forever grateful to you all and will always recommend your services to any person that asks for a good DJ service.  Thank you so much again and God Bless, Katie and Kevin

ople tell me how great the music was at our wedding. Jeff had everyone on the dance floor the entire night! Susan rocked the photo booth and we loved our custom sign.  Highly recommend impulse DJs!!

d the music that Nick was the one for us! From the moment we saw you on our wedding day, we felt grounded. You helped me reset, be present, and actually enjoy the day — and that set the tone for the entire night. The app guided us through questions we wouldn’t have even thought to ask, and your experience helped us focus on what truly mattered to us. I genuinely felt taken care of from start to finish. I wasn’t feeling well near the end of the night and Nick adjusted the final songs so I could still participate without overdoing it. And he knew who exactly who to take direction from as far as filtering requests day of (you just never know!). Nick's ability to read the room, pump up the party yet slow things down at the right moments, and handle anything that came our way is unmatched. So many guests told us how amazing our DJ was, both during and after the wedding. You made us feel like an absolute priority, and we would choose Impulse a thousand times over. THANK YOU for helping make our dream wedding a reality.

up when I was falling behind. They utilize an app for their couples to create and plan their day. The app allowed me to see every aspect of the wedding day that needed planning and was incredibly helpful as I could work on all the details as I had them. The team also sends timeline emails to stay on track, very helpful for the do-it yourself couple sans wedding planner. Please don't confuse the app with this team being hands-off. Every email/text went answered and quickly.  Steve was our DJ on the day of and he was absolutely amazing on the wedding day! He checked in several times with my husband and I just to make sure that we were happy with what was going on (i.e.  lighting, music selections, timeline). Everyone that came up to us on the wedding day, and every conversation I have had after, only said complimentary things about Steve. Feedback I have gotten was that he was AMAZING and it was the BEST playlist/energy, start to finish, that they have ever partaken in. Overall, it was an AMAZING event, and Impulse was a big part in making that happen.

d answer any and all questions from day one. They have a planning app which makes the process sooo smooth - you put in all the info and pick any songs you want etc it was very seamless. And the day of our wedding we were blown away by the energy they provided but also their effort to make the day run smoothly and constantly checking in the bride and groom. Do not sleep on booking them, you wont regret it promise! The dance floor was booming all night and all my guests had nothing but great things to say as well!

e and everything in between. He played the perfect mix of songs all night long, included every single request we gave him, and was ready to take on even more throughout the evening. Beyond the music, Nick went above and beyond in helping organize the night- from bridal party entrances to dances and speeches. He constantly checked in to see what we needed, even bringing us drinks whenever our hands were empty! He made everything feel effortless and truly played a huge role in making our wedding night absolutely perfect. We’ll be recommending Nick and Impulse DJs to anyone looking for a DJ at their event. Thank you, Nick!

music for our event, being so flexible and easy to work with - including coordinating the playlist suggestions, and checking in regularly. Gyl, our DJ, was equally incredible, making sure the music matched the mood, including our Bollywood moments :). He went so above and beyond, even offering to bring me a drink! Weddings are a time when everyone is trying to upcharge you and generally stressing you out, and Nick and team are absolutely the opposite. So refreshing, I could not recommend them enough:)

us on track throughout the entire process. Their communication was incredible, and Nick made everything so easy and stress-free with planning leading up to the wedding and Steve kept the night moving smoothly and on time at the wedding. Our guests are still talking about how it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to—and no one ever left the dance floor! The music was inclusive, fun, and kept the energy going all night. We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ. Highly recommend!

e, but Nick came highly recommended by our vendors and our wedding coordinator. The switch happened because I wanted the music, especially for the wedding ceremony, to be more personal than the standard music, so I wanted a DJ that I could work with to make that happen, and I could not be more pleased with Nick! We didn't realize it at the time, but going with Impulse Entertainment and having Nick as the MC that day genuinely saved the day; the music was everything I had wanted and more, and the ceremony and reception were loved by everyone there. I have heard nothing but raving reviews from guests on how beautiful the ceremony was and how fun the reception was, and I feel that I must give a lot of credit to Nick and Impulse entertainment. The services provided by Impulse Entertainment are not simply a DJ with a playlist and a schedule, they are running the wedding ceremony and making sure that everything goes smoothly. Nick even brought us drinks between pictures and cocktail hour just so that we didn't need to worry about it. 'Accommodating' is not a strong enough word for what Nick was to us. We met over Zoom before the wedding to go through details of what we wanted, and he was nothing but excited and supportive. Nick really cares that this day goes well for anyone who hires him, and he has earned every single glowing review. I can and will be recommending it to anyone I know who is planning a wedding or another event.

both by having us use a planning app and by meeting with us to ensure we'd thought of every aspect of our wedding to be covered musically. Nick helped us pick out songs and created cuts for us as needed. He was seriously awesome to work it. Nick then assigned John to actually work our wedding and John totally delivered! He ran out wedding perfectly! He was an awesome MC, he had all of our songs played correctly and at the right times, he made so many announcements for our guests to help everyone know what was going on, and he had our dance floor BUMPIN all night long! Can't thank this duo enough for helping our wedding be so incredibly perfect!

e way! Definitely recommending Impulse DJs to all family and friends! :)

up videos that came before the wedding, every detail went off without a hitch, we felt like celebrities and danced the whole night. There were so many touches that we weren't even expecting that were fabulous. I have two more kids that we will marry off one day and our first call will be to Impulse to BOOK the BIG Day!

ith my own wedding than Impulse. From start to finish I was in good hands and at ease. Every detail was executed flawlessly and no request went unanswered. Nick brought the vibes from our first meeting, understood the assignment of wedding music that wasn't "wedding music", flawlessly helped me surprise my now husband with a very important sound bite from a missed loved one, and night-of was able to play a very nonsense video from a guest (with our permission). Nick and Susan are absolute professionals, while also being real people that you'd actually want around.

ur wedding. From there, communication and coordination was very smooth. We got email updates from his team members and used their app Vibo that helped us stay on track with answering questions and selecting our music. The day of was amazing and everyone had nothing but good things to say about the music and our reception. Nick himself was our DJ and we loved his energy and appreciated the hype he brought. It was enough to keep everyone on the dance floor but didn't feel like too much. We also thought the way Nick played through the set was awesome. His transitions were great and mixing up the song choices helped keep people on the dance floor. The setup and lights were also cool and added a nice touch. Finally, Nick's attention to the schedule and how we were feeling made us feel like everything was well handled and we didn’t need to worry about it. Overall, would highly recommend Impulse DJs for a Chicagoland wedding/event.

estions, and made us feel completely comfortable from start to finish. On the day of our wedding, we had zero stress — Nick kept everything on schedule and most importantly kept the dance floor packed all night and we got so many compliments on the music. He checked in with us often to make sure we were happy, and even went above and beyond by plugging in his personal fan behind our sweetheart table when we got hot! We truly couldn’t have asked for a better DJ, was worth every penny. We are grateful that we chose Nick as our DJ and cannot recommend him enough!

ible Dj/mc and an even better person. Having Nick apart of your wedding plays a key factor in how amazing and special our big day was! All the personalized videos just show how much he truly cares about his customers and we have been lucky to not only have you at our wedding but being able to see you at other weddings!! You simply can not have a perfect wedding with out Nick and his staff!

sending those monthly update emails. They were so helpful! And the App itself was super easy and userfriendly. :) DJ Steve did an AWESOME job on the actual day meeting our needs, communicating with us, and being in tune with the crowd. We couldn't have asked for more. So all in all - THANK YOU - it was a great experience from start to finish!!

h passion, energy, and above-and-beyond thoughtfulness throughout the whole process, and we felt so cared for and loved by Nick and your company. Our guests could not stop complimenting how well he did and how much of a positive impact he made on our wedding day. We have and definitely will keep referring Nick to our circles, and some have expressed interest in working with him as well!

ree special dances, and we’ll remember those for years to come! We had guests come up to us and say ‘What a party’ and ‘Your DJ played the best parts of every song’! Their sound quality was excellent too. We also really appreciated the Impulse planning app. It was easy to use and helpful for us to think about timing as we planned the reception.

m a few weeks prior to make sure he was up to date on all of our details, a fun video message the day before he made sure everything went smoothly. He made sure to check in, but also that we were able to enjoy the night and stay on the dance floor for the whole night. Nick, the owner/founder we equally as upbeat and helpful during the whole planning process. During out meetings, he made sure to ask questions we would have never thought of, but definitely were important in making sure we had everything we needed. He was always prompt and super helpful whenever we had questions. We absolutely loved working with Impulse, Nick, and Justin for our wedding!

our dreams of a packed dance floor would be a reality. Throughout the planning process, Nick was so communicative and organized! With all the preparation and communication, I didn’t have any worries at all about the audio and music for the ceremony and reception. For our wedding we worked with Steve and he brought the energy!! We last minute added up lighting and it totally contributed to the overall feel of the room. Steve showed us the different options day of which was so nice to see it in the space verse trying to make the decision ahead of time. I appreciate his flexibility throughout the night and communication to keep us in the loop as needed, but not overdo it either. So many of my guests from all stages of life commented on how great the music was and how there was no bad songs played. It was truly all we could ask for on our wedding day!! Work with Impulse DJs and you won’t be disappointed

s of positive energy. We truly appreciated his punctuality towards our schedule and his consistency in checking in on us to make sure everything was going smoothly. We received many compliments on the DJing during and after the wedding. Thank you Nick, you helped make our wedding amazing!!!

inish. We were able to use an app to upload our song requests and timeline details. A few weeks out, we had a meeting with Nick to go over everything and he talked us through the day and made great suggestions as well! On the day of our wedding, Nick consistently communicated with us and our photographer so that we did not have to worry about the details and could actually enjoy our wedding. He read the room very well and several of our guests commented on how great the DJ was throughout the entire evening. Thanks Nick and the Impulse team for making our wedding day so fantastic!

lly kind video the day before telling us how hyped and excited he was for our big day! He also provided tons of reassurance when I started to have doubts about the playlist I submitted (which I ended up loving, but the wedding jitters were getting the best of me). As for the night of, he absolutely knocked it out of the park. He kept the dance floor packed all night long, and we loved every song he played! He knows how to read the room and match the vibe, and he continuously checked in with us to make sure we were on board with everything. We also had tons of guests coming up to us afterwards and asking for Justin's information to use him in the future. As someone who puts a LOT of stake in music (it was arguably the thing I cared about the most), I was over the moon with his services. We could not have been happier with Justin as our DJ, and we will be recommending him to ALL of our friends and family moving forward! As for Susan, she was an absolute delight! She found me beforehand to introduce herself and explain her role. Our guests absolutely adored the photo booth, and the pictures that came out of it are hysterical! She also stuck around afterwards just to check in and help in any way that she could. I am bummed that we didn't get to work more closely together, but I have no doubt she was as endearing and pleasant throughout the night as she was when I first met her! Both Susan and Justin were so easy to get along with that they felt more like longtime friends than people we had just met. They exceeded our expectations, and we are so grateful that they were part of our team on the big day. Finally, Nick was so easy to work with, and he has the most contagious energy! Every time we chatted with him over the phone or even email, we couldn't help but feel excited because of how excited he was for us! He was very easy to get a hold of, and there aren't enough words to express how much we loved working with Nick and his team.
