We can't say enough good things about Hummingbird House and about Danny. We had a perfect day, and so much of that was due to the beauty of the venue and the coordination. Let's start with the venue. A lot of places we toured were either hotels or ranches - very Texas themed. But Hummingbird has a beautiful garden vibe: super green and lush with so many different kinds of flowers and trees and bushes. I don't think pictures really do it justice; you need to experience the calm and beauty of walking around in the garden. Hummingbird is huge, and all of the spaces in it are very well done. The bride's suite is huge, and we used it not only for the bride's people, but also as a general congregation area for family and the wedding party during pictures. The groom's suite is recently renovated and is the nicest one we've seen. The gazebo area in the heart of the garden provides such nice framing for the ceremony and pictures, and it leads effortlessly into the cocktail hour space. All around the gazebo are lots of green spaces where we set up games during cocktail hour, encouraging people to roam around. The reception area is very big and very comfortable; we had lots of room to dance and none of our tables felt claustrophobic. Finally, the backup ceremony spot in case of rain is surprisingly bright and airy; I was expecting it to be an afterthought space, but it seemed like a lovely place to get married. Next, we have to talk about how amazing Danny is. He owns the venue and also acted as our month-of and day-of coordinator. Danny is the most organized, on-top-of-it person I have ever met, while also being one of the most chill people I've ever met. We'd visit him at Hummingbird and there would be 20 different contractors working on the grounds, and he'd just be chilling in his office. We left every conversation with him feeling more confident and comfortable, and believing that everything was going to work out. We had a rain scare on our wedding day: it rained all week, and then it sprinkled off and on throughout the day. Up until minutes before the ceremony we weren't sure if it was going to be outdoors or indoors (it ended up raining for 2 minutes right after our guests sat down, and then the sun came out and we got to stay outdoors), but the whole time Danny was cool as a cucumber. On the wedding day, we didn't need to have a thought in our heads, because Danny was on top of it, communicating with vendors, setting up our lawn games for us, and making sure all of our personal items were in the right place at the right time. He even anticipated problems, like swapping the cake table and the sweetheart table because the cake was too heavy. And between the ceremony and dinner I think he offered to get us a drink probably 4 times. I really can't stress enough how impressive Danny is, and how much stress he took off of us, which really helped us enjoy our day. Put simply, when Danny's in charge, everything just works like it's supposed to. Finally, I'll note that Hummingbird worked so well with all of our vendors. The venue itself worked well because it was a perfect backdrop for all our flowers, and there were so many options for ornamentation. And Danny worked well with our vendors because they all know him and love him. I'll say it again: when you go with Hummingbird, everything just works like it's supposed to.

Not only is it the prettiest and most intimate venue in Austin, Danny & his team have thought of everything. From the exceptional rental options, to a phenomenal list of preferred venues, to the overall flow of your event, we had the most perfect wedding ceremony and reception at the Hummingbird House. If you're looking for a venue where minimal decor is needed, you have multiple ceremony location choices and a STUNNING bridal suite, this is the place for you. There's ample parking for locals and so much shade. I had several friends ask if they could get married here during our rehearsal - its just that perfect. Plus, Danny is a delight!! 12/10 would recommend.

Since hosting their first wedding in 2009, countless couples have pledged their love for one another in this wonderland. Velvety lawns are ornamented with vibrant flowers and trees while a whimsical wrought iron gazebo adds a fairytale feel. This romantic setting has all manner of amenities to help couples have their dream day. They are happy to host celebrations of up to 175 guests. Before the celebration begins, the wedding party can complete their preparations in two luxuriously outfitted get-ready rooms. Hummingbird House offers a breathtaking ceremony garden, five verdant acres of gardens to explore and 3,200-square-foot glass, climate controlled reception pavilion. Celebrations in this space are illuminated by sophisticated crystal chandeliers. Tables and seats for up to 175 guests can be supplied, including elegant chestnut cross back reception chairs. The garden is outfitted with soft, ambient lighting to guide the way when the sun goes down. . They want you to be surrounded by everyone that you love on your special day, and this includes four-legged friends. An award-winning venue, Hummingbird House’s success is owed to the hard work and dedication of Tom and Danny. Tom is a horticulturist with years of experience, and he also owns a garden center in South Congress. Danny, meanwhile, previously worked as an event coordinator in Charleston, SC. He moved to Austin in 2009 and happily joined forces with Tom to design the perfect garden wedding for Tom’s niece. Having seen how beautifully this event turned out, the pair were encouraged to begin advertising the space for outdoor celebrations. e we wanted to do a traditional wedding anymore. I had seen this venue online a few times and decided why don't we just do a quick visit. On initial visit my husband and I fell in love with this venue and decided we wanted to continue the wedding planning process here. I cannot rave about this venue enough. First off, the owner of the venue Danny was amazing. We got the planning/coordination package with the venue. Danny was so helpful every step of the way, from vendor selection to day of coordination. He was incredibly communicative, answered our many questions, and just made us feel calm and prepared after every meeting with him. So many guests commented on how smooth the day of the wedding went and that was in large part because of Danny and his assistant Bella. Guests loved our venue, there is so much natural greenery and beauty in the venue as is. It feels like a secret garden. We had 126 guests and it felt like the perfect amount of space for our size wedding. It was spacious but still felt intimate. We did our ceremony and cocktail hour outside in the garden, and then moved inside into the glass walled reception area. I know too they will be doing some renovations to the reception area over the summer so Im sure it'll be even more beautiful. I also appreciated how close to downtown Austin it was compared to other venues. We took a party bus after to East Austin for the after party. I can't recommend this venue and the owner Danny enough. There is a reason this venue stays booked, truly such a gem in Austin Texas.

almost unbelievable how flawless the entire process, and the big day itself, was. The venue is stunning and my guests raved about I how beautiful it was. The grounds are immaculate and the reception hall is gorgeous with draping, natural lighting overlooking the woods, and importantly for Texas - strong air conditioning! initial call with Danny without evening seeing the venue because I just knew from speaking to him and seeing photos online, it was going to be pure magic. Needless to say I was correct! The venue: A hidden gem right outside of Austin that feels like you're in California or Italy. The grounds are so beautifully kept year round, and you can just see the love that goes into keeping HH looking as lovely it does. My guests couldn't stop commenting on how beautiful it was. It's also a great way to cut back on floral costs because it's so gorgeous as is. Easy to get to from downtown and tons of parking. My husband and I, alongside our friends, loved the suites, and the reception tent is perfect for an intimate wedding like ours. The gardens create a peaceful, lush environment for your ceremony and cocktail hour.I also took my bridal portraits here in december, and I was still blown away by the beauty! Danny, the owner/planner: If you're lucky enough to get to work with Danny, please do it. I came into planning my wedding so unaware of what went into it, and Danny helped me every step of the way. Working with Danny felt like working with my best friend, his honesty and ability to keep you grounded is so underrated. He provides you with solid suggestions and recommendations, almost 50% of my vendors were those he recommended and I gave them all 10 stars. His communication is timely and respectful, and keeps brides like me (Type A) sane and excited each step of the way. Having Danny by my side on my wedding day felt like having a big brother with me. Then we found out Danny could also be our coordinator and from there the decision process was easy. Danny is the absolute best human to help you with your wedding. He knows all the best vendors, and they all love working with him and at the venue so you really get the star treatment! He’s so kind but will guide you into the right direction for what you’re looking for. And he really knows weddings. On the day of, holy moly did Danny shine!!! He handled every bump in the road with grace and didn’t let us feel the stress. Even our guests called out how kind and easy going he was! And the space turned out even better than we could have hoped for. It is truly such a gorgeous venue run by a fantastic manager. I don’t know who wouldn’t want to get married with a situation like that!!! Would highly recommend the Hummingbird House to all who are looking. which is saying a lot because every picture of the venue is so gorgeous. When you’re there you just get such a good feeling. It felt like I was at home and like a destination at the same time. We didn’t need to add much additional decor because it was so beautiful on its own which is exactly what we were looking for. In addition, we used the owner, Danny, as our coordinator. He was absolutely amazing and took care of everything we needed. He was such a yes man to our plan and ideas, but also gave us his honest advice based on his experience. Planning an entire event is so stressful, (make sure to ask lots of questions) but he made it so much easier. On the day of he ensured everything was set up perfectly and made things run smoothly. ith the owner Danny and he was so kind and personable. When we booked the venue we did got their planning package and I cannot recommend it enough. We feel so lucky to have had Kelsey help us plan our wedding! She was incredible! I had attended very few weddings and felt very intimidated by planning a wedding. She answered all our questions and gave great suggestions. Kelsey was also super sweet! I was sad to say good bye to her at the end of our wedding! I really cannot imagine our day with her help. My husband and I felt that Kelsey and Danny both truly cared we had a memorable wedding day and were happy for us. On our actual wedding day it rained all day. Kelsey was so sweet and worked so hard to help keep the plan that we had agreed on. Thankfully it stopped raining right before we went to plan B! finally found our venue. The gardens are truly breathtakingly beautiful. The trees offer great shade during cocktail hour and the reception hall is air-conditioned and gorgeous, which could also act as a nice "Plan B". Because of the stunning gardens, we felt like we saved a lot of money in the floral budget because of how naturally beautiful the venue was. It is so secluded, quaint and quiet. We felt like the whole world around us paused just for our wedding. The bridal suite and groom suite were very clean, organized, and the perfect size for both groups. It is such a special and charming place. What adds to it being so charming and special are the owners. While we didn't get to meet Danny's partner, we had several vendors talk very highly about the two. Danny was an absolute blessing. From the moment we met during our venue tour, to the grand exit on our wedding day, he was there for us ensuring we were taken care of. We hired him for the wedding planning service and decor set up which was the best decision we made. I can assure you that the service and personal touch that Danny offers is not found at any other local venue. He went above and beyond to make sure our wedding day was perfection. As the bride, I was able to have an stress-free wedding day, trusting that Danny was taking care of everything. We feel honored to have been able to make our lifelong promise in such a beautiful space.

n we found Hummingbird House and Danny (who we also hired as our planner and helped us pick out all our vendors) we knew we had found 'the one'. The venue itself is breathtaking with its luscious gardens and twinkle lights strung between the trees, as well as the elegant white tented indoor reception space giving reprieve from unpredictable Texas summers/winters. Day of the wedding, Danny and his assistant had such a calm and cheerful demeanor and handled all of decor setup. We basically dropped off all our decor items in boxes the night before and they handled all of the setup as well as packing them back up for pickup the morning after. Danny and his assistant even rolled up their sleeves to help bustle my dress in between ceremony and reception (I had MANY buttons on my bustle that required four people to manage, it remains such a funny and unique memory of the day). Second, Danny (owner and our 30 day coordinator) was amazing! From the first message we sent through The Knot, to organizing and planning the wedding, to the actual day-of coordination, he was extremely responsive, professional, organized, and helpful. I would HIGHLY recommend doing at least the 30-day coordination as it took all of the stress away the day of and allowed us to enjoy our day. I could not recommend this venue enough; you will not regret getting married here!

He walked us through every detail, listened to our vision, and ran with it. I didn't have to worry or lift a single finger from 2pm on our wedding day until 11am the next day. You are fooling yourself if you don't get the coordinator package. EVERYTHING was taken care of - I showed up with boxes of decor and Danny did the rest. He set up everything, tore it down, and loaded it in my dad's truck so all we had to do was show up the next morning and drive away. INCREDIBLE. I've been to so many weddings where we have to set up the morning of, tear down the night of, etc. And every time I think to myself "I'm SO glad we had Danny...." He made sure both moms were happy also - which was a huge relief lol! Danny is a true professional, but also incredibly kind and generous. We felt like family! A huge part of our happiness and enjoyment of the day was in thanks to Danny and Hummingbird House - I cannot recommend them enough.

The ceremony area is so gorgeous that we didn’t add many extra decorations. The AC in the reception area is the best touch during a summer wedding in Texas. Danny was our on-site manager and was the best and most fun to work with. He always met us with high energy, helpful suggestions and solutions. He was professional at all times and made our wedding vision come true. I would not change a thing about our special day being held at Hummingbird House.

when Courtney gave us a tour, I started crying because it was so perfect. Leading up to the day, Courtney was a great communicator, mostly on email. I'd have tons of random questions and she knew how to answer them (she knew what I was asking, even if I wasn't very clear!). Her energy and smarts are both amazing and great to deal with. Our caterer had worked at and with the Hummingbird House, which was a relief as well. I know they did a lot of communicating without us, and I'm very okay with that. We got so many compliments on the venue. It really is just perfect. The bridal suite was a great place for me and m'ladies to get ready, and the groom got to have a great set up as well, which was later used as the babysitting room. As a bride, I was glad I still had access to the bridal suite for bathroom breaks and even a little quiet time before the dancing started. We did most of our getting ready at a friend's house, but this set up was so great to have. Yeah, the place is not cheap (but really, what is when the word "wedding" is in front of it?), but I can't stress enough how beautiful and magical the place is.

hotos!To start with it has both indoor and outdoor options which you Truely appreciate when forecast starts showing rain. We lucked out and it didn’t rain on our wedding day. But Hummingbird House staff made both options available in case if ceremony needed to be inside. We had the ceremony and cocktail outside, the reception was inside the pavilion. The bridal suite is absolutely amazing and groom’s suite is spacious as well. There is plenty of parking for your guests and if people prefer ride share, they can find a ride in less than 5-10 mins. All our guests complimented on how gorgeous our wedding venue was. Danny and Courtney are great people to work with too. We absolutely recommend it to couple who want a fancy indoor/outdoor wedding.
