We had a wonderful experience hosting our WeddingPro event at Hotel Fort Des Moines, Curio Collection by Hilton. The space was beautiful, welcoming, and a great fit for bringing ou...
r wedding professional community together. The hotel team was professional, accommodating, and great to work with throughout the event. We’d happily recommend the hotel for events and gatherings!
This was our venue for our October 2025 wedding, and we couldn’t have asked for a better venue or coordinator. We didn’t need to spend much on florals because the venue was just th...
at stunning. Planning a tour and knocking out every single detail down to the minute was a breeze with Taylor’s help and I would very confidently recommend this venue for a loved one’s special day because of the trust i’ve built working with HFD.
Hotel Fort Des Moines is the perfect venue for a wedding in Des Moines. We were skeptical about a "hotel wedding," but HFD was beautiful and its spaces were stunning. It did not fe...
el like you were in some random hotel ballroom, but instead were in a space with a history and so much character.
The wedding rates for a room block were very reasonable for such a beautiful hotel, and the rooms themselves were lovely.
The food at HFD is fantastic. Having been to tens of weddings since COVID19, it is some of the best food that I have had at a wedding anywhere in the country. And during the day, Proudfoot & Bird and Hobknob provide great options for out of town guests to grab a bite or a drink.
Most importantly, the staff and event team work with the utmost professionalism. They know what they are doing and they throw an amazing event. They know the art of the possible, maximizing the space for best effect and to ensure that everything goes on without a hitch. Strongly recommend Hotel Fort Des Moines!
We absolutely loved having our wedding (ceremony and reception) at HFDM in November 2022. It was the perfect backdrop for gorgeous photos as there are so many beautiful and unique ...
spots. The Presidential Suite was the perfect get-ready-room for the bridal party as there was lots of ample light, plenty of seating, and a nice kitchenette for snacks and champagne. Our guests loved that they didn't have to brave the Iowa weather and could turn in to their beautiful rooms at the end of the night. Taylor made us feel so special throughout the planning process and she came up with amazing ideas that we had not even considered. And the FOOD. I cannot count the number of people who said it was the best meal they've ever had at a wedding. Also the glassware and place settings were so beautiful. Definitely not your typical hotel place settings. I would choose Hotel Fort Des Moines 100 times over.
We hosted our son and daughter-in law's rehearsal dinner (50) and Sunday brunch (65) at the Fort Des Moines Hotel. The renovations to the hotel are amazing. My wife and I had ou...
r wedding dinner and dance there 37 years ago. The food and the service were out standing! The rooms are very nice and comfortable. Katie was our event planner and did an outstanding job is helping us plan the weekend. Also the food in the restaurant is very good. Highly recommend checking the hotel out for your next event.
This venue is amazing. The most elegant setting. Staff was super responsive and food was outstanding. Couldn’t recommend this enough.
