Our review is mostly positive but there are a few things to be aware of. Food was good, staff let us decorate the room a day early and was very accommodating. Taylor was helpful. ...
Items to note if you have your reception here. We agreed on a drink menu of singles, wine, domestic and imported beers and soft drinks. Our bar bill included several drinks that were doubles billed at $12.50 per drink which is 50% higher than the price for doubles on their menu and was excluded from our contract anyways. They were quick to resolve it once we pointed it out to them but we should not have had to point it out. It felt like they were trying to jack up the bar bill. Also, make sure you ask for a knife and cake plate ahead of time. They set up the cake table in the came to cut the cake there was no knife. Someone eventually brought them a butter knife and they never got a plate. The bride & groom were great sports and made the best of it but there was a bit of a lack of attention to detail.
Christie was a wonderful wedding coordinator to work with! She is very detail orientated and returned emails/phone calls promptly. She takes her job very seriously and is Great! ...
I didn't worry about anything on my BIG day and deferred all the small issues to her to handle. The ballroom itself is modern and easy to decorate to your taste.
The majority of our guests came from out-of-town, so it was important to us to offer great accommodations. The East Peoria Holiday Inn is beautiful, clean, and conveniently located...
. Ricky, the group rooms coordinator, was extremely helpful in accommodating our guests’ needs.
We also contracted with the catering services through Johnny’s Italian Steakhouse to provide breakfast for our guests the morning after the ceremony. We were disappointed that although we were told the buffet would be open at 8:00 a.m., our guests were kept waiting until 8:45 as the catering team was still setting up. A few of our guests also got confused and ended up paying for breakfast at the restaurant.
We stayed at the Holiday Inn for the wedding weekend, although we didn’t have our wedding there. They still treated us as though we did! We got breakfast free the next day, they ca...
