With deep respect for marriage, the best part of our "job" is working together to celebrate the creation of new families. And while it is still fun for us to pour over wedding images just for the sake of looking at them, you will find that we take our photography seriously. We shoot using Nikon equipment, manual settings, and portable speedlights. s told we would receive our photos by the end of the month. I even offered to just take the raws and edit them myself since I have photo editing experience if that was holding up us receiving our photos but was reassured they were mostly done and that wouldn't be necessary.
I have since texted, called and emailed with no response. Even though they were very nice to photograph with, not having any photos to show outside a small collection of getting ready photos (only of the bride, and none sent in a downloadable format so I couldn't even share those few photos) with no response in months means I cannot recommend this photographer for any event.

exactly the photographers for us. Not only do they shoot Beautiful photos, they are very well prepared and knowledgeable. This is something that is very difficult to find with all the photographers out there and what truly makes great photographers.
We were aiming to get a lot of candid photos and less posing photos so I didn't allocate a lot of time for posing pictures on our wedding day. With the time we did use, Jamie and Andy got the job done with A LOT of great pictures of us with together, with our families, and with the wedding party.
As the weeks after our wedding passed and I hadn't seen the pictures yet. We weregetting nervous...maybe asking for mostly candids was not the best idea. Candid photographs can be very unforgiving and we wanted a lot of good pictures of course! When the preview arrived we were blown away by what Jamie and Andy were able to capture.
Besides beautiful pictures that we will cherish forever, Jamie and Andy were so wonderful to work with. From the first consultation, to the engagement session, and especially on the wedding day, Jamie and Andy was so helpful and professional.
Our wedding photos were outstanding and we couldn't have been more pleased. We also received our wedding images shortly after, which brought tears to our eyes after viewing. We thank you for being part of our special day and an even bigger thanks for capturing all the memories. We will cherish these photos forever.

What they do is this: they show you a few beautifully processed images as a preview, then they offer you a wedding album "valued at $500" in exchange for 10 (that's right, TEN!) 5 star reviews on weddingwire.com and theknot.com. They expect this without ever seeing the final product. If you do not comply with this offer, they will not process any of your images, and they will even remove the processing done to the previewed images as retaliation, if you can believe that. What you end up getting is a huge pile of what looks like mediocre cell phone pictures. They do not care about your "once in a lifetime" day. All they care about is taking your money, and enticing you to give them a 5 star review in order to grow their sham of a business. If you look at their portfolio online, it is no doubt filled with beautiful images. Even what they sent us as a preview looked wonderful. But, since we did not fall in line, and obey their review request, what we got was a cache of images that resembled something any casual family member could have taken. In fact, many of the candid cell phone pictures taken at our wedding turned out much nicer.
This photographer showed up 30 minutes late and left at the scheduled time. They cheated us out of many pre ceremony photo opportunities, and caused a great deal of stress.
They gave us zero artistic or thoughtful photo opportunities. In almost all the photos, everything felt wrong, off center, and undirected.. overall terrible.
They made the entire experience about them, and what they wanted

$500" in exchange for 10 Five star reviews on the Knot and Weddingwire by November 30th (prior to viewing our complete album).
Thankfully, I could not accept this offer as I feel reviews should be based on an individuals performance rather than a contingency offer of a complementary album, and 3 months later I couldn't be more relieved as the only pictures that look semi professional were the three in the wedding preview. There are countless photos out of focus, eyes closes, and unedited entirely that I'm having to sort through. There isn't one photo of the reception space without someone setting up in the background and they forgot to capture the one photo I special requested, of my Dad's photo and memorial items. Furthermore, they were 30 minutes late, which caused the only stress to my Husband and I that entire day. I can safely say, I would not recommend them to anyone

was not upheld, and we are now out a very large amount of money, after deciding to go elsewhere for our wedding photography. She told me less than two weeks before the wedding she had an injury and was sending a replacement (who seemed to take children's photography), with no time to find someone else we were left with no choice but to proceed. The other photographer was not the same quality as Jamie and I would have paid half for the images done. We were also told Jamie would Photoshop the random strangers out of the beach photography which was not done.
In waiting a very long time after pictures were promised I noticed Jamie was at another wedding the same day which she confirmed after being confronted via email. I gave up on waiting for the photo book as she could give me no timeline beyond the already missed deadline.
The photographer clearly chooses favorites and treats them very well while everyone else suffers greatly. If you are a big spender with the largest package then you will be a favorite...good luck to everyone else as there is no integrity or follow through for one of the most important events you will have.

This company used to be called Jamie Michelle Photography. If you do an internet search you will find many negative reviews under both company names. Instead of fixing the business...
, they just changed the name! Here's a summary of my experience:
--after Jamie collects your deposit, you will not hear from her. I was so nervous that she wasn't going to show up on my wedding day I had to have a back-up photorapher ready. She showed up.
--photos were okay, not spectacular. There are a lot of photographers out there who know how to run a business and treat their customers with respect. This is not one of them!
--it took 8 months for me to receive my photos. This was after many unanswered emails and voicemails. Her voicemail is usually always full. If you do get to leave a message, she does not call you back.
--it took 1.5 years AFTER MY WEDDING to receive my wedding album. At that point I just was not impressed with the quality of the album. I ended up doing one myself online and it turned out better than the one Jamie did.
--I do NOT recommend this company. No bride should have to go through what I did. You will find many negative reviews out there about Jamie Michelle Photography and Hippie Love Photography (same company). Beware!!!
