Hilvers Catering

oyed the food and the bartenders did a great job, we had a rather large wedding so to keep up with that for 5 hours is no small feat! Katie was a pleasure to work with to get everything coordinated for the tasting and the day of, answering a plethora of questions, especially in the last few weeks leading up to the wedding day. The day was perfect, and we are so grateful for everything Hilvers did to make that happen!

They were always extremely responsive and helpful for any questions we had and always provided great suggestions for ideas at our venue since they had catered there before and were familiar with the layout. They laid out all options for us in a very organized way that was easy to follow and make selections from. The tasting that we scheduled at their office was extremely organized and had everything we had selected to test. We also got to go home with the leftovers from the tasting. Leading up to our reception Hilvers was extremely helpful and quick to respond with any last minute questions we had and they were also able to accommodate a change of plans due to our ceremony needing to be inside instead of outside as originally planned due to rain. All Hilvers personnel on the day of our wedding were super nice and very professional and accommodating. We had a ton of compliments from our guests on the food which was served buffet style. Hilvers also packed up all leftover food for us to take home and ensured all clean up was completed at the venue. If you are looking for a cost effective, professional, well-run, and very tasty catering group for your wedding reception or other event we would highly encourage you to go with Hilvers.

. The caterers the day of made sure I had a plate right away as I was getting my shoes taken care of (now that was a hassle!). Super kind and helpful crew and I cannot recommend them enough!

e seamless at the reception. They knew what they were doing, very friendly and it all went smoothly. Now that is important. Katie was very professional and I really enjoyed working with her every step of the way. Very helpful with suggestions. Would highly recommend. PS the food was delicious and before we left the leftover food was all packaged and ready to go.

mmunication was seamless! Katie helped arrange every aspect and was amazing to work with. The food was AMAZING! It was so hard to pick which items we wanted!

th ease. the two tending to the buffet were so attentive. One gentleman even carried my plate back to the head table for me. Such a small, but greatly appreciated gesture. We got so many compliments on the food (pulled pork barbecue). We wanted a backyard barbecue, big party vibe for our wedding and that's what you helped to deliver.

y personable and attentive as well.

omplimentary. Thanks again!!

helping us find the right combination of foods and foods for our guests with dietary restrictions. Guests told us that this was some of the best food they have ever had at a wedding! During the cocktail hour, my husband and I arrived late but the team had set some of the hors d' oeuvres aside and brought them to us while we waited for our grand entrance. Also, since we had a sundae bar as dessert instead of cake, they were able help us with the set up of that as well. Seriously the best!

ut with anything! As far as organizing goes, it was very easy to plan out and we loved having the options to have all the linens, bar and service included. The food also did not disappoint! I absolutely could not have been more pleased with Hilvers! Thank you for everything you all did!

day more special!

back from the buffet to the head table to make sure I wouldn't spill on my dress! He did the same for my grandmother, which was so sweet! We definitely recommend!

y, which was on time, went smoothly and tasted great! They were very familiar with the venue, which helped a lot. Finally, what I appreciated the most, all their workers were so friendly and helpful! I would definitely recommend them for your wedding/reception, or any occasion where you need a caterer.

elpful. I would 100% use them again for any event. We even got to keep the left overs!

ilvers prepared for our special needs family member. This was the 3rd generation of our family to use Hilvers for weddings! (My parents, my husband and I, and now my daughter.) Maybe in 30 years my daughter will use Hilvers for her daughter's wedding! Hilvers longstanding history is certainly a testament of their reputation and the product and service they deliver. Thank you, Hilvers for a job well done!

he same service and quality for anywhere near the price!

were so easy to work with and so friendly throughout the entire process. Captain Pete is a rockstar. Our guests were raving about all of the food, especially the feta/pesto/sundried tomato appetizer. :)

ur menu from our horseradish mashed potatoes to go with our beef tenderloin to our late night macaroni and cheese bar. Everything turned out better than we could have imagines and we got so many compliments! Thank you for everything!

ating. There food is flavorful and mouth watering. Their service is stellar! They are easy to work with and want to make sure your day goes as smooth and perfect as possible. As the bride, one of the staff made my plate for me which I thought was a sweet touch. The staff is so friendly! They also offer bar service which was perfect for us. We would use Hilver's for any event!

ring the actual wedding. They were incredibly professional, showed up on time, and had plenty of food for everyone. All of our guests loved the food that was provided. We absolutely recommend their services!

erent selections and they give you a ton of food. I highly suggest. We drove 45 mins just to have them do our wedding.

d casually mentioned that she loved mashed potatoes at our taste test (not a part of the package we went with) and they showed up with mashed potatoes anyways! This is a great family business that cares about customer service; I highly recommend them.

our guest had a fabulous meal. Hilver's also handled the bar which made planning so much easier!! I would recommend their company to anyone who values great food and amazing service!!

weren’t for Pete, we truly believe it wouldn’t have been as great of a day as it was. He did so much for us all night whether it was replacing our drinks without us asking him or wiping the patio of the pools of rain that gathered during the ceremony so I didn’t get my dress wet. Thank you so much, Pete and hilvers!!!

y good costs for everything. Leading up to the event they were very responsive and great to work with. I would absolutely recommend :)

ers to the dinner a varied was presented to meet everyone's taste. They were so professional from the set up to the clean. Thank you for making their special day elegant and wonderful. Five stars for sure!

n cookout for 300 guests. Aside from the food being fantastic, they really went above and beyond in ensuring that all details were in place well in advance of the event. Fast forward a year later to when we started planning for our Admitted Student dinner at Memorial Hall - we knew that Hilver's HAD to be our chosen caterer. This event is the biggest recruitment event of the year for us and we knew the food had to be great quality to leave our guests with a lasting impression of how much we care about them. Hilver's, of course, delivered again. They went above and beyond in numerous ways. First, they were willing to set the linens on the tables for us while we were held up with our guests at the College. In addition, a week before the event we found out we had a guest who was vegan. Instead of re-working the entire menu, Hilver's offered to make her a special meal at no extra charge. She later raved about how good it was! Then, at the end of the event the staff insisted that they help us collect all of the remaining food to take back up to the College for our current students to enjoy over the weekend. From small details to the overall big picture, Hilver's is a caterer that we know we will work with for years to come. They focus on the small details while delivering a product that tastes amazing and the best part is we know we can trust that they'll do it right which takes a huge burden off of us when we plan multi-faceted events. EJ - your team is amazing and so are you! We look forward to working with you in August for our next event.

ve in their service. Everything was perfect on the wedding day and they worked with us perfectly all through the process. With out even asking, people have been telling me how good the food was and it was some of the best wedding food they have had. I would and will book them again in a heart beat!

n reached out and explained everything and continuously checked in with us during the time of planning, making our lives SO much easier. They served us at the wedding and assured we were well taken care of and cleaned up quickly. I would recommend to everyone as they provide such a diverse selection

ing day they went above and beyond. The food was delicious, we received many compliments, and the staff was very professional and helpful throughout the night. I would highly recommend this awesome family business!

e!

! My dad worked with Hilver's since February and from start to finish they were responsive and were always there to answer questions. They were able to tailor our menu especially how we wanted it. The set up crew, and servers at our reception were all friendly and accommodating. There's a reason they have been in business for as long as they have. Thank you Hilver's for helping to make our big day perfect!
