We set up a room block and the post-day brunch for our September wedding and it was great. We worked with Lyndee and she was amazing. She was very attentive and got back to me when...
ever I had questions and was very accommodating. The day after brunch was awesome and the food was great. When we got to the Hilton, the morning of, everything was set up and our guest had a great time. My mother did forget her jewelry box in the room and when we called the front desk after we got home they said that they hadn't found the box. I would give the room block and the brunch 5 stars but am taking away one of the stars because her jewelry box was not turned in.
The best part of working with the Hilton Del Mar was the service. They would have moved the moon for us had we asked them to. Everything else was brilliantly wonderful as well - ...
food, location, atmosphere - all perfect!
We ended up with a different catering contract only a few months out from the wedding, but everything went smoothly and everything we were promised was kept. Carlie McVay ended up ...
being our contact person and she did a really nice job. No banquet room fee if you are spending so much money. The food was VERY good for a hotel. We had a steak and chicken option and the guests were very happy. Great food presentation. The banquet room was beautiful and had nice light fixtures. The hotel sets up the tables and table settings but you will need you own crew for any "extras" you want in the room. There is a nice outside patio area near the banquet rooms. We had a cocktail hour out there while the wedding party took pictures. There is a nice water display and they put linens on the table out there too. It was also a nice place to cool off in the evening. Very accommodating and I feel that response to emails and calls were good. Few hiccups with the room block, but the hotel was very accommodating and attended to all our issues. The hotel is right across from the Del Mar race track. The SD county fair was going on the week of our wedding...so that was a nice extra for our guests. Minutes away from the ocean, and beautful hotel.
We had our wedding at a nearby venue, and picked the Hilton because it was a national chain that was both realiable & affordable for both us & our guests. The staff at the...
Hilton was SO wonderful & helpful. They really strived to make everyone as comfortable as possible. The hotel was very well kept, the breakfast wonderful, and the the value for the price was exceedingly wonderful. The Hitlon Del Mar has made me a Hilton customer for life!
My guests enjoyed their stay there.

edding planner on top of everything else. The only complaitn was their booking in rooms, they were a little disorganized when it came to our block of rooms for famiyl and friends.
I loved the ballroom and the service.;Double check the room block rules especially if there is more than one reception being held there that weekend.
The meal served was one of the best that most of the guests had ever had! The cake from an outside bakery was absolutely delicious! The size of the room had more than enough spac...
e to accommadate our wedding of 100 guests. The intimate, low-lighting was a nice, unexpected touch. The on-site coordinator was very friendly and easy to work with.;They charge for parking! And if your guests stay overnight, warn them that overnight parking is very expensive!
