er honesty and transparency really made us feel less stressed about the big day. My husband and I both come from mixed families, which in turn comes with many, many, many pictures. However, Marissa’s knowledge and professionalism made this process smooth and effortless. We sincerely couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to capture our special day! Thank you to Marissa and all the Heyn Photography team for helping us create these special memories and giving us the experience of a lifetime!
Where to start with Marissa and the Heyn Photography team... 5 stars doesn't even begin to cover it. From the moment we met over video call after requesting a quote and going over ...
her work I knew we made the right decision by booking with Heyn!
Marissa and the Heyn team made the entire wedding process SO exciting and stress-free. I had many, many questions and even booking over a year out, Marissa never failed to respond. When it came time for our engagement shoot it was easy to not only work together from a photo standpoint, but also easy to talk together and she made us both feel SO comfortable in front of the camera. When those photos came back I knew we were in great hands for the wedding!!! I'm still in awe.
The wedding meeting came and we had things down to a SCHEDULE. Her knowledge of wedding day logistics is unmatched and her eye for good photos and special moments is incredible. She knows how to work with anyone and everyone, makes everyone feel beautiful and her team is equally as comforting and talented. We got our sneak peeks and the joy I get looking at them makes me feel, once again, that I couldn't be more thankful for our decision to go with Marissa & Heyn. Easily worth EVERY. SINGLE. PENNY.

ve her shoot my wedding. Budget was no longer even a question, I knew whatever she charged I would be willing to pay double- THAT was the quality of work I saw in her portfolio. And MAN did she deliver. She created a detailed timeline 1.5 years before we got married, before we even had any concrete plans and vendors locked in, and that timeline carried us all the way through our wedding day and made my planning job so much easier. I called/emailed her with so many questions and she was always so kind and responsive. It was also incredibly helpful that she has a payment plan, so I got reprieve on large lump sum wedding payments (which is much appreciated when you’re paying so many vendors at once). She was such a light and calming presence on my wedding day, constantly hyping me up yet checking in on my mental state. She kept things moving and on track, even with traffic setting us back on pictures. My bridesmaids were all commenting how professional and efficient their team was, even saying they wish they weren’t already married so they could book Heyn Photography too. Kelly and John on her team were also such a pleasure to work with and I found myself giggling with them constantly which was a big stress reliever on such a crazy day. They were all so patient with us as well, as my husband and I are not naturally “photogenic” and were nervous to be in front of the camera all day. I was blown away by our engagement shoot and didn’t think it could get any better, until I got our wedding sneak peek photos back. I have never really felt beautiful when looking at photos of myself, and I can honestly say looking at those photos I felt beautiful. They accentuated my husband and I’s joy of the day flawlessly. They even had a sweet surprise and set up a TV at our wedding reception to display the photos they took during the day! That is truly going above and beyond and not something you would find with just any photographer. Heyn Photography exceeded my wildest dreams for my wedding photos, and our day would not have been complete without them. Do not even think twice- BOOK THEM ASAP!! You will not find a better photographer.
Marissa is the best of the best. She is exactly the kind of photographer that makes your day seamless. She creates a super detailed schedule to make sure you get all the photos you...
want and then some! She kept us on track and when we got behind schedule she made sure to make up time and keep the day moving seamlessly. Her team was professional and made everyone feel comfortable and relaxed. The photos are gorgeous and I can’t wait to see the rest of them! Can’t recommend her more!
We’re so grateful for Marissa and her team from Heyn Photography! Marissa, our head photographer, went above and beyond for us on our wedding day. Marissa truly felt like part phot...
ographer, part wedding planner, and part friend. She was my saving grace, from fixing my hair and placing my veil on, to buttoning up my dress. Even with the natural chaos of the day, she stayed on top of everything, captured every important moment, and was incredibly patient with someone like me who gets overwhelmed easily.
The sneak peeks we’ve seen so far are unbelievably stunning, and we know the full gallery will be just as amazing. We had the absolute best wedding day, and Marisa and her team played such a huge part in making it that way. We will forever be grateful. ❤️

talented. Marissa immediately makes you feel like an old friend. They made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera and we were beyond impressed with how our final photos came out.
The attention to detail, lighting and capturing of candid moments — it was beyond what we could have hoped for. Marissa helped schedule the timing of the whole day and everything went so smoothly. She even helped me with putting in and taking out my veil! Marissa and the Heyn Photography went above and beyond. My husband and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for their wedding photographer. We wish we could give more than 5 stars! Our family and friends have not stopped raving about the photos, and we are so grateful to have these memories of our special day.
Our wedding day wouldn’t have been the same if it weren’t for Marissa and her incredible team! From the moment we had a chance to connect, I knew Marissa absolutely understood the ...
vision we had in mind for our special day - sleek and sophisticated, with a pop of fun - and our pictures capture this aesthetic and MORE. We’re so excited to be able to look back at our special day for years to come, and we loved Marissa’s mix of chic editorial and natural shots.
While our pictures are stunning, it’s Marissa’s stellar planning, attention to detail, and overall energy that made our wedding day experience so enjoyable. She helped set our timeline to ensure we were right on (impressively, even a bit ahead of) schedule. Her team ensured everyone was relaxed and that no detail went unnoticed. Together, they knew exactly how we should pose, where to get the best shots, and efficiently got us to exactly where to be at all times during the long day. Even my husband enjoyed posing for pictures thanks to their direction! Having been in so many weddings myself, I know this can be the hardest, most grueling part of the day, and we truly had a blast.
Overall, I can’t say enough amazing things about Marissa and Heyn Photography. It was a pleasure getting to work with them and I hope to be able to do so again in the future!
Working with Marissa has been an absolute dream. She is such a professional and will go the extra step to lay out how the day will go. It feels like you get a wedding planner + a p...

We even got to see sneak peeks of the photos on a slideshow during our wedding -which was such a fun surprise!
We would recommend Marissa to anyone who was looking for a photographer.

utiful moments through her lens but also crafted a seamless wedding day schedule that kept everything flowing smoothly, which was such a huge relief. During the entire planning process, she was a constant confidant and a shoulder to lean on, always there with expert advice, encouragement, and support. On the wedding day, she made me feel so comfortable, even encouraging me to step out of my comfort zone to create some truly stunning and authentic moments. Her calming presence was the perfect balance amidst the chaos, and the photos she took captured all the love, joy, and emotion of the day perfectly. If you're looking for someone who will not only be an incredible photographer but also help make your wedding planning and day stress-free and be able to connect with your photographer, look no further!
Marissa and her team were incredible!! Right after my first meeting with Marissa I knew I HAD to have her as my photographer. We had alot of traveling to be done on my wedding day ...
(my house, to my Church in Staten Island, to the Mill in Spring Lake) and all of this during Friday traffic! She was so organized from the very beginning and had everything planned out! Our day didn't go as planned, as it unexpectedly started raining but she made it work! I was very upset that it began to rain but she captured amazing pictures of us in the rain and made me feel at peace! She really was so thoughtful, fun, kind, sweet and very professional throughout the whole process! I would have Marissa and her team photograph any special event in our lives over and over again!
There’s not enough words to share how much we ADORE Marissa and her team! Aside from being so organized and on top of the planning process, she understood our vision perfectly and ...
DELIVERED!! Marissa and Jess will do whatever is needed to make the shot is perfect and are so skilled in their art, plus absolute JOYS to be with the day of. We are still thinking of future opportunities just work with Marissa again. Thank you all for making us look incredible and providing so many photos we can’t wait to display forever. You truly captured our day better than our dreams could’ve imagined.

ppoint. She is INCREDIBLE and the sweetest, most knowledgable person out there. I could not have asked for better. She made the day so fun and enjoyable and the pictures were absolutely stunning. Thank you, Marissa! I would get married a million times if that meant hiring you over and over again!!
Stop looking, you've found your wedding photographer.
We can't express how much we loved Marissa and how much she was a perfect fit for our wedding. She was instrumental in the o...
verall wedding planning process; there were so many details, ideas, issues, etc. that we never would have thought of if it wasn't for Marissa and her incredible wealth of wedding experience. When I (the bride) was running late for the first look due to hotel issues, Marissa literally drove me to the venue in her own car. She's the kind of person who is not afraid to tell her client "no", and that's exactly what a young couple getting married for the first time needs; when presented with something she felt was a bad idea, she would provide examples from her experience of the consequences of doing this, and provide much better alternatives. We listened to her, and our wedding day went so smoothly as a result. :)
Marissa is an absolute boss, which is exactly the kind of person you need as your wedding photographer. She can command a large, unruly group of people with ease, and can get so many complicated group shots over with in record time. For both the engagement session and the wedding itself, Marissa was quick, direct, and commanding, and the result was a huge variety of incredible photos; we had such a hard time deciding on photos for the Save The Date's and Thank You cards because there were so many amazing pictures!
Heyn Photography's style of photography and editing is what initially caught our eye. We noticed that many wedding photographers these days will have photos that seem very washed out or overly bright. Heyn's photos however really bring out the colors of the day in such an amazing way. The photos look true to life, like they've perfectly captured our memories of the day. We are truly so in love with how our photos turned out, we can't stop talking about them or showing them off.
We cannot recommend Marissa and Heyn Photography enough, they truly were superheroes and without them our wedding would not have gone half as smoothly as it did.

ing her. Marissa has photographing weddings down to a science. We immediately knew we were in the right hands with Heyn Photography to capture moments on our special day. Marissa is extremely organized and her attention to detail is impeccable. She was easy to get in touch with, and responded promptly to the many questions I had throughout our wedding planning process. Marissa was the person who suggested taking our first look photos at my alma matter Monmouth University, and I couldn't be more grateful for that decision. We felt so comfortable working with her and her team at our engagement shoot and on our wedding day. My husband and I both aren't the most comfortable in front of a camera, but Marissa and her team made it fun and natural. We are still getting compliments from all of our guests and even people who weren't at our wedding on how gorgeous our photos came out. The photos speak for themselves, but Marissa and her team are so incredibly talented. Book Heyn Photography for your wedding immediately.

dule of your photos on your wedding day. Her top priority is making sure that you get the photos you really want, and she is great at helping to manage any family drama that can arise around photos on your wedding day :) Her style of photography is chic and classic- you are bound to love your photos! Not only is she an amazing photographer and professional, but she is super fun to work with. Would recommend Heyn photography without any hesitation!

dream to work with while wedding planning, I felt like I had a second wedding planner. She truly goes above and beyond the day of your wedding and each day before. Have difficult family members? Marissa will know how to deal with them. Bad weather the day of your wedding? Marissa has a plan. Planning your wedding from across the country? No worries Marissa knows the area like the back of her hand. Do not hesitate to book Heyn Photography!!

t she also played a huge role in actually planning the events and timeline of the wedding day, which was a huge relief to me since in the beginning, I had absolutely no idea how a wedding was planned! She worked with us every step of the way, collaborated with our other vendors, and made sure our wedding day was as perfect as it could be. We both can't say enough good things about Marissa and her team, and we hope to see them again some day in the future!!!

h made us feel extra comfortable on our wedding day. We knew we didn’t have to worry about the flow of the day at all because she was on top of it. Marissa's positive energy kept us cool, calm, and collected all day. She helped to make our family and bridal party feel at ease and made taking photos extra fun.
The sneak peek photos were amazing and sent insanely fast. We were not expecting them so soon and it was the best surprise. We also received the full set of photos and they are absolutely stunning. Everyone is raving about them!
Marissa's team could also not have been better. John was awesome and Kelly was so helpful.
Literally 15/10 across the board. Perfection. They all had the best energy and were so amazing throughout the day.
Heyn Photography is the best of the best! We could not be happier that we got to work with them, and we’d book them a million times again!!!!

at you need in a wedding photographer. She also thinks very quick on her feet, so if god forbid something goes wrong on your wedding day, she will have a solution. Her assistant John is also just hilarious. If you have a camera-shy or camera-awkward groom (like my husband lol), John and Marissa will break him out of his shell!
Our photos are absolutely stunning. I love Marissa's style, she made me feel like I was modeling for a magazine! I cannot wait to get our full photo album back <3

e with both of us being Brooklyn natives ... :)
Marissa was integral to planning our wedding day timeline. She has years of experience in 'what could go wrong.' As a Type A person, I took all of her insight into account- and it paid off- we got all of the pictures we wanted, AND WE MADE OUR COCKTAIL HOUR!
Not only is she super organized, but over the course of our 2 year engagement, she was easily reachable for questions and a quick chat. I do not think you can get this level of service when going to one of those big wedding photography companies.
Lastly, her talent is unmatched. My husband and I do not consider ourselves to be the most 'photogenic' of couples- however, she and her team captured beautiful moments of our day- memories that will last us a lifetime. It was important to me for our photos to have a timeless look- and that is exactly her style.
I look forward to Marissa photographing my sister's wedding next year.
Having Heyn Photography capture our day was hands down the best decision we made for our wedding. Marissa was vital to planning the day from start to finish to ensure every moment ...
was perfection. It is clear that Marissa is an extremely talented and experienced professional photographer and she has the ability to make you feel comfortable in front of the camera all day long. Her two partners John and Sondra were amazing and helped cover the whole day and didn’t miss a single detail. They worked tirelessly all day and it was the best surprise to see some of the photos at the end of the night along with a special personalized gift. Marissa was very quick to send us the sneak peak photos and the extreme quality of the final product blew us away.
We were so happy to have Marissa play such an important part in our wedding day and we can’t emphasize enough how much we recommend her and her team at Heyn Photography!!

ows how to capture all the emotions of your special day. When you book Marissa you not only get an amazing photographer, but also a day of coordinator, and so much more! She kept all our vendors on track and had time to capture even more photos than we expected. We requested John for our second photographer and the two of them are truly a dynamic duo! They will go above and beyond for what you are looking for and communicate with you every step of the way. We felt as though we had two friends hanging out with us all day and couldn't stop laughing!! We are so grateful. THANK YOU!

oughtful, detail oriented, incredibly engaging and SO talented. Marissa doubles as a wedding planner and the only reason our timeline and the whole day went as smoothly as it did is because of her meticulous planning and attention to detail. Our first interaction with Marissa during our engagement photos made us so comfortable with the whole process and it was a perfect test run for our big day. You don’t feel like the photos are a whole production and rather, she makes it such a fun experience and makes you and your future spouse so comfortable. For our bridal party photos, family photos and couple portraits, she made sure we got every shot we could have wanted (and then some)! I can’t say enough good things about this team. Hire them for your wedding - it will be one of your best decisions when it comes to wedding planning!! Next step for us is creating our album - we can’t wait to have a timeless and beautiful album we can look back on our beautiful day and have in our family for our lives and beyond. Thank you Marissa!!
Heyn photography was one of our best decisions for our entire wedding experience. They shot our engagement session and our wedding, and we couldn’t be more pleased with everything!...
We told Marissa what we were looking for, and she captured everything we asked for exactly. She helped us every step of the way by telling us exactly what to do for each picture, to creating the timeline for our day, and, most importantly, to making sure we didn’t miss a single family picture that we wanted . (She also made us look very photogenic!!)
Her timeless, classy, and modern style sold us. We have beyond beautiful pictures to look back on forever to remember our amazing day! We couldn’t be more over the moon with the final product and to have trusted Heyn Photography with our wedding. (P.S. do the engagement session! It’s one of our favorite memories of the wedding process)

Marissa is extremely personable and kind, and makes the entire photo process so much fun. Every phone call we've had leading up to our wedding day, we were on the phone chatting and by the end of the process, it felt like we were truly friends! I appreciate Marissa's honesty and how she truly wants the best for her clients. She will guide you in the right direction to make sure your day runs smoothly, and will do whatever she can to make sure your vision comes true. I also LOVE her assistants Kelly & Kelly who made our bridal party laugh and smile all day long. I cannot rave about this team enough! I know all of my newly engaged friends will be using them.

During the planning process, Marissa was always there to help and really was great when coming up with a timeline for the day. She was easy to get along with and talk to. After talking to Marissa the first time, it felt like we had known each other already. She makes you feel super comfortable and like a friend. Marissa and her team have an amazing eye. Our pictures are STUNNING! We don’t know how we will ever choose which pictures to include in our album! Marissa’s work is timeless and romantic. If this is your style, Heyn is for you. If you pick the Heyn team for your wedding day, you will not regret your choice.

Marissa and the entire Heyn Photography team are the best wedding photographers you can possibly hire for your special day. With Marissa, you get not only an amazing photographer, ...
but a wedding coordinator as well. She has great relationships with every kind of vendor and can provide you with her recommendations. My husband and I were married in 2020 but had our wedding in 2022 at The Mill Lakeside Manor in Spring Lake, NJ. Marissa was there every step of the way through the ups ad downs of having to postpone our wedding. She sent us prints from our engagement shoot and a sweet note after we had to make the difficult decision to postpone our wedding for the second time. It is this compassion and attention to detail that makes her second to none. When our Wedding Day finally arrived, my friends and family could not get over how relaxed and happy I was as a bride. I was able to enjoy my day and be in the moment because I knew Marissa had it handled. Whether it was someone walking in the background of our first look or telling a relative politely to get out of the way, Marissa is going to make sure your photos are breathtaking and that you do not have to stress about what to do next. Marissa and her team are professionals in every sense of the word and are worth every penny!

She provided so much information for the planning process - it was basically a photographer and wedding planner in one! If we had a question or suggestion, she always gave her honest opinion and would always recommend what was best to keep the day running smoothly. She was super quick to respond, and always called us if an email or text couldn’t cover all of the details. She also connected with us on a personal level, and treated us as close friends. During the photo sessions, she will direct you on exactly how to pose and will make sure that your dress or hair is not out of place. Her team is also super professional, friendly and very talented. John worked with the groomsmen while Marissa was with the bridal party, and my husband raved about how fun he was and that he somehow kept all of the guys focused. The pictures that we received are stunning. I love that she doesn’t just slap a filter on the photos, she clearly puts in the time to edit them beautifully. I would recommend Marissa to any couple and she was one of our favorite vendors to work with!!

end. She truly goes above and beyond to get to know you and help you plan out all the details and timing of your day. With Marissa you get so much more than a wedding photographer. We were so lucky to have her shoot our intimate marriage in April last year, and then have Kelly and her team shoot our wedding this year as Marissa was ill. Even with her not being there, she was sending the team updates on weather and schedules to make sure everything still ran smoothly. On top of all this, your pictures will look like you stepped out of a magazine!
We are so fortunate to have worked with the Heyn team, thank you all so very much.

ely had to have her photograph our wedding. She took the time to sit with us, get to know us, and the conversation flowed so well, we felt like we had known her forever! Our decision was shown to be the best decision we made throughout our entire wedding when just a few months later, we were launched into the pandemic with so much uncertainty and had to postpone our 2020 wedding to 2021. Marissa was there for us EVERY step of the way. She handled everything with the utmost professionalism, kindness, and grace. She was constantly reassuring me everything would work out for our big day. Marissa and her team made us feel so comfortable during our engagement photos last summer and the photos came out amazing. We couldn’t wait for our wedding day to work with them again. As soon as Marissa and her team arrived on our wedding day, I was instantly put at ease and the day went so smoothly, I could not have asked for a better team! The next day, Marissa shared a few photos and they absolutely blew us away. When you book with Marissa, you are not only getting an amazing photographer/photography team, but someone who is a true professional, knows all of the ins and outs of a wedding day timeline, and a friend by your side throughout the wedding process! I could not have asked for anyone better and strongly recommend having Heyn Photography photograph your wedding - hands down best decision ever! Thank you Marissa and team for such an amazing experience during such a hectic time!
10/10! Stop your photographer search now - choose Heyn! You will not regret it! Marissa and team were so easy to work with, so professional, and so accommodating.

sa showed up on my wedding day, all of my nervous jitters melted away. Marissa's take-charge style allowed me to relax and feel comfortable handing over all control to her. I paid for a photographer, but I also received a wedding planner, a friend, and a therapist. I truly don't know how I could have planned this day without her. Her and her team were by my side the entire party, ensuring all of the best moments were captured. The next day, Marissa shared 13 photos from the day and they were FANTASTIC! I can't wait to see the rest!
I do not have one negative thing to say about them. I couldn't be happier with our choice! Thank you Marissa and the Heyn team for giving us the best day of our lives!
So much love for Heyn!! Marissa was a dream to work with from day one. She took the the time to get to know us and with years of experience, asked all the right questions.

cided to do an engagement session to get comfortable in front of the camera and had so much fun with Marissa and Kamelia. They coached us awkward turtles each step of the way and the photos we took in Asbury Park were timeless.
Marissa was the first person I spoke to about postponing our May 2nd 2020 wedding in the first week of the COVID shut-down. With the utmost kindness and professionalism, she gave us advice on what to do next. When we decided to have a small beach ceremony in September 2020 with close family, Marissa was so flexible and re-vamped our photography plan for the more intimate setting. Our little big day was captured beautifully in photos we will cherish forever!
Now, we're back to planning our October 2021 wedding celebration and I cannot wait to see our extended family and friends (including Marissa!) and celebrate in a BIG way!! I know the photos from this day will be everything we hope for and more.
We are so happy we chose Heyn Photography to do our wedding and engagement photos. There is so much more than photography that Marissa and her team provide. Yes, the photos are stunning, but the value that they bring to the table in years of expertise, guidance and planning that go into the big day are unmatched. Thank you!!
Marissa and her entire team have been AMAZING to work with. When my husband and I first met Marissa back in 2019, as soon as we left her office after our meeting, we knew that she...
was the one and would be the most amazing photographer. Her work is beautiful and so amazing. After having to postpone from our October 2020 wedding to May 2021, Marissa has been there every step of the way. To the massive amounts of emails that I have sent her, text messages, and phone calls, she never once not have gotten back to me. She was professional and so responsive. Even with me changing my times for the ceremony a million times, she was so open and professional about changing the start time. Marissa and her team were on time and ready to get started. She ran the whole day so beautifully, knew where we had to be, helped me to calm me down, and got all the pictures that we wanted. She was our saving grace on our day and I couldn't have asked for anyone better. Her work is amazing and beautiful, and even just looking at the few sneak peek photos, everyone was already blown away. She knew all the right angles to get and how to get everyone together for the perfect photos. I highly recommend Marissa and her team, you will not regret it! Looking forward to seeing her again in July for my brother's wedding 😊
Where do I even begin? I'll start with this, I adore Marissa. Marissa is truly one of a kind. Marissa was truly my saving grace. I had no photographer, 4 months before my wedding, ...
I reached out to Marissa and she didn't hesitate to take my wedding even when she was already fully booked for the year. Fast forward, my wedding was postponed due to covid, and again Marissa, my saving grace, helped me through the uncertainty of 2020 / 2021. I finally had my wedding day this past weekend and I absolutely couldn't have imagined it without Marissa being there. She kept my day running smooth, she kept me calm, she kept everything on schedule, she posed everyone perfectly, she captured the day perfectly. Her assistants Kelly and Kelsey, amazing. Marissa, Kelly and Kelsey work so well together, they make your day special, they make you feel so special. The day of my wedding, Marissa surprised my husband and I by uploading photos onto a tv for us and our guests to see. Stunning doesn't even begin to describe it. I saw another preview of my photos yesterday and my jaw dropped, I was actually at work and started tearing up. Marissa is truly so unbelievably talented. I am so grateful that she answered that email of a desperate photographerless bride when it would've been easier for her to say 'I'm booked.' I truly know that not only do I have beautiful wedding photos for life, but I also have a friend for life. Book Marissa & her Heyn Photography team, I swear, you will NOT regret it.
Marissa & the rest of the Heyn photography crew have been my favorite vendor to work with throughout our wedding planning and re-planning process by far! When we met with Marissa b...
ack in July 2019, we knew we would be in good hands. Marissa is more than a photographer, and also offers a lot of help with planning and timelines. She brought up things we didn't even think of from logistics and timing perspectives - she will make sure your entire day runs smoothly. We were both a bit nervous for our engagement pictures because we never had pictures taken together before, but Marissa made us feel super comfortable by telling us how to pose - it was actually a very fun experience! We walked all around Hoboken and got different shots on the street, by the water & skyline, etc. so we had a variety of photos to choose from, even including our dog. When we had to postpone our bigger wedding reception from 2020 to 2021 due to COVID, I knew that Heyn was the #1 vendor that we had to keep when rescheduling. Marissa worked with us every step of the way and even guided us through rescheduling with our venue to ensure she was available on our new date. We decided to have a smaller wedding ceremony in 2020 and used Heyn as well. Just like our engagement pictures, we are IN LOVE with our wedding ceremony pictures and can't wait to use Heyn again for our 2021 reception! We will definitely have a hard time narrowing down pictures to pick for our album and prints, because they are all amazing. Heyn photography truly provide amazing photos and are amazing to work with as well!! Thanks Marissa for everything!
Marissa is absolutely amazing! She was there every step of the way for us as we navigated all of our wedding postponements due to COVID. She was flexible, offered honest advice and...
guidance, all while being understanding of our situation. Marissa recently shot our small church ceremony and all of the photos are absolutely amazing. We are so happy she was able able to capture our love and we cannot wait to work with Marissa and her team next year during our one year vow renewal ceremony and reception.
Marissa is amazing!! We had to postpone our [bigger] wedding to 2021 due to COVID-19, and she was super accommodating and supportive. Marissa and her team photographed our mini/...
intimate ceremony (that we had on our original wedding date), and the pictures were PERFECT! Marissa is extremely talented at what she does.. and she is more than just a photographer- she helps to plan / time out your whole day. She also really gets to know her clients on a personal level, she became a friend throughout the process.
For us, the photographs are one of the most important parts of the wedding, and there's no one I trust more than Marissa and her team to capture every single detail and memory!
Marissa and her team are absolutely amazing at what they do! We were so excited for our first meeting with Marissa, because we were so impressed by her work on her social media pag...
es, and then when we got to meet her, we knew right away we had found the best of the best! Marissa was so professional and helpful, and so fun! She and her assistant made us feel so comfortable during our engagement session, and we loved how our photos came out! Marissa helped us plan every detail of our timeline, and worked with us to make sure that the day moved as smoothly and efficiently as possible. The day of our wedding, Marissa and her team worked their magic and captured so many amazing moments! At the end of the reception, they put together a slideshow with a preview of some pictures, and we were blown away by how gorgeous they were! My mom even started crying and hugged Marissa, thanking her for taking such beautiful photos. And when we received our album, we were obsessed with how stunning the pictures looked in print! We're so happy to have that gorgeous album and all of our photos to treasure forever, and we're so glad we chose Heyn Photography for our wedding!
To say that we loved everything about Heyn Photography is an understatement. When we first met with Marissa to go over our options for our wedding, we knew we hit the jackpot; the...
quality of work that she showed us on her previous weddings was top notch. On top of that, Marissa was so easy to get along with and took the time to get to know us which was super important and really showed us that she cared.
We decided to do an engagement shoot to get the opportunity to get to know her further and her style. Not only did we have the best time, but the pictures came out amazing and we knew we had made the best choice for our big wedding day.
With COVID, our wedding date changed multiple times. Marissa was extremely responsive and worked with us as we planned a new date and was extremely accommodating as our plans seemed to change continuously. When we finally nailed down a date, Marissa spent a ton of time going through all the details of the wedding day that we didn’t even realize that we needed. When you plan a wedding, you don’t realize the importance of a great photographer to coordinate the day and make it stress free. Hands down, we could not have picked a better team. Everything from helping plan florist drop off time and coordination with the guys at a different location - so much goes into it and we can owe it to Heyn for making the day go by flawlessly. She directed my husband and I for the pictures extremely well and also were able to capture all the special moments with the bridal party that we were hoping for as well. Then add in the amazing photos on top of that that we received so quickly, Heyn completely outdid our expectations. If you are looking for a perfect photographer, look no further. We love Heyn!
Marissa and her team at Heyn were the best decision from Day 1. We were very picky when it came to our photographer as we wanted real photos that were not only light & airy, and no...
t too many awkward poses. Personality was also a crucial factor in our decision for us given it is a long day of hanging out together while keeping everyone focused and looking photogenic. As soon as we met her, we knew she was perfect. I then became a COVID bride having to do last minute changes of dates, locations, locations for pictures, and changes in timing, yet Marissa was a rock through it all. She was amazing before COVID, but her overall flexibility and support during it all, made her even more amazing. She does amazing work, but it was also amazing to have her and her team there the day of the wedding. They kept us on time, smiling, and relaxed the entire day throughout multiple locations and a large bridal party of people to keep in line. I really can't say one negative thing and would recommend a million times. A photographer is a huge decision, and you can't go wrong with Heyn photography!
It was very important to my fiance and I to find an incredible wedding photographer that we were comfortable with and could capture our personalities and style. Marissa had us capt...
ivated immediately after our first meeting with her, which ended up lasting hours because we had so much in common and the conversations kept flowing. We knew then after speaking with Marissa and seeing her amazing portfolio of work that coincided with our style that she was our perfect match! We booked right after we secured our venue, The Mill Lakeside Manor, where Heyn Photography was listed as a recommended vendor and how we found them. We had an engagement session in Hoboken with Marissa and team and every single picture came out absolutely stunning! Since COVID-19 has started, all of our wedding plans were flipped upside down, like many others. We were fortunate and grateful to be able to re-work our plans with Marissa, which she went above and beyond to make sure she could be there and support us on our intimate ceremony date this year as well as our postponed big celebration next May 2021. Not to mention tropical storm Fay rolled in just in time for our day this year and Marissa and team did a phenomenal job dealing with all weather related obstacles on top of the pandemic challenges as well. We are so grateful Marissa & team worked with us through these uncertain times and could capture all of our big milestone events. We are looking forward to working with Marissa and team in May 2021 and will absolutely continue this great relationship we created with Marissa through our wedding journey. Marissa is personable, caring, and incredibly talented. She will walk you through every shot in the moment and give you options on how to pose and what to do, trust me this was beyond helpful for us! Also, Marissa worked with our busy work schedules when we needed to meet or have a call, which we greatly appreciated. We highly recommend Heyn Photography. Thank you Marissa and team, we cannot thank you enough!!
Update to my original review as we are FINALLY married- I legitimately cannot imagine my wedding day with Marissa having been by my side! From the moment she and her assistant Kels...
ey arrived in the morning, it made the day feel like a breeze.
Kelsey's eye for detail and Marissa's magical talent behind the camera are unparalleled and they made it all feel so easy. My husband and his groomsman had an equally wonderful morning with the second shooter Jarot, and once we all came together, Marissa and her team made it the best day ever! Throughout the entire day, our bridal party, family and friends, were singing the praises of Marissa and her team and that praised multiplied times a thousand as we began to receive our sneak peek photos and proofs. What Marissa does is truly art and I have legitimately looked at my photos every day since receiving them because I am truly in awe of the beauty and wonder of them! Selecting Marissa as our photographer was the best decision I could have ever made, and not only do I have the most beautiful photos that I will treasure forever, I also have a true friend in her! ***
I found Marissa and her team through my cousin, whose wedding she photographed, and hiring them was one of the best decisions I have made for my wedding! It's been almost a year since our first session with her, for our engagement pictures, and I still receive almost daily compliments on the photos. She is true artist and produces some of the best engagement and wedding photos I have ever seen!
We were supposed to be married on May 16, 2020 but with Covid had to postpone and Marissa was so understanding and helpful in moving our wedding and now as we face postponing for a second time, she is just as amazing! She genuinely cares for her couples and has truly been a godsend throughout this entire process! I can't wait to have Marissa and her team photograph our wedding, whenever it actually ends up happening, and truly feel like I have not only found the best wedding photographer but also a friend that will remain even after all the wedding celebrations are over!
