She is SO easy to talk to and was super chill even though she had to 9 people’s make up all before 1 p.m. She was totally understanding with last minute changes to the schedule and was just in general an amazing person to have with me on my big day! Can’t recommend her enough♥️

d by how professional and organized the experience was. Hello Darlin' had me create a lookbook with inspiration photos for each of my bridesmaids so they would be prepared on the day of my wedding. I also appreciated that the company organized a pre-event phone call to go over the session details and answer any questions I had. My hair looked phenomenal at my wedding! Even though my hair never keeps curl in the Iowa humidity, Hello Darlin' somehow kept my waves looking good all day long!

cheduling mix-up (that was completely my fault), but they worked with me to sort it out and make everything work. They didn't give up until they were certain I was happy with both the makeup and hair, even when I was unsure we were ever going to get there. It is clear this is a caring and talented team, would highly recommend.

the speed they worked at I felt as though the quality of the looks suffered. My wedding was large enough that we had two make up artists, and two hairstylists. The makeup artists had makeup that stayed all night, and complimented everyone’s features. However, for the two mothers of the group the application was really thick and heavy, and looked a bit cheap due to that. My bridal makeup was great looking, but did have some minor issues with bunching under the eyes. The eyeshadow look only lasted a few hours before creasing and essentially disappearing. I think the makeup team is pretty solid all around, but it’s just worth flagging that most of your party may not get very custom looks, and that no touch up kits are provided. You’ll have to assume there will be some fading/creasing and provide your own to touch up.  As for hair, this was actually one of the more disappointing parts of my wedding day. First, with the pros. The team did everyone’s hair so fast, we got ahead of schedule. They did hair that almost everyone ended up liking, but in a few cases (like the mother of the groom) they should have made adjustments to the style given the hair length, or recommended extensions or additional product. As the bride, I was very disappointed with my hair curl longevity. I paid for two separate trial sessions with their team (which, mind you, is very expensive), and during neither session did I leave with the hair I wanted. I have long blonde hair down to mid back, and just wanted a half up with curls. The half up portion was perfect every time, with artful twists and a touch of volume. However, my hair stylist could not make a curl that stayed. My hair typically holds curl very well, so I was surprised that she couldn’t get it to stay. Given this was the third time doing my hair, I found it odd that she didn’t recommend hot curlers, pin curls, or even just holding the curl in place after removing from iron to let it curl in shape. Instead, after every curl she tugged it loose and pulled down, softening the curl (exactly what I DIDNT want). My hair stayed put the entire night in the half up, but the curls had almost entirely fallen out within 3 hours. They didn’t even make it through pictures. The product used also tangled my hair terribly, so I had a rats nest in the back of my hair. I ended up having to derangement the clump and then redo my entire head of curls mid-pictures. The curls I did after (with no hairspray, mind you), stayed the entire night simply because I let them cool as a curl. Lastly, they offer a gender-neutral polishing service. I have a few queer friends who opted into this service as well as my groom. We were not impressed. They spent maybe 5 mins on makeup and 5 mins on hair, completely not worth the price. Additionally, they do no skin prep as advertised. Overall, this is a solid company that is reliable for brides who just need anything done. The products are high quality and they will make you look nice. However, for the price that they charge for the styles is not worth it, in my opinion. Most of my party had issues with longevity, and as a bride who had two trials done I still couldnt get curls from their team that would stick. Unless money is no issue, you can probably find a company more likely to personalize the experience for you.

that was more suited to Asian features and my personal taste. Samantha (make-up) and Melissa (hair) were both very professional, experienced and extremely skilled at what they do. They made all of us look beautiful but recognisable, which was exactly what I wanted. I do not usually wear make-up as I have very sensitive skin, but their products caused no irritation whatsoever even keeping it on all day, and the make-up did not budge.

nding a vendor who could take our large group and was LGBTQ+ friendly. Luckily from the initial conversation with Samantha, our group size was not of concern and we saw other LGBTQ+ couples on the HDG website/social media. In addition, Samantha was excited, detailed, and listened to our needs. We were pleased to hear they had options for the team to come to our venue for getting ready and no hidden fees. The price transparency and options were so refreshing after reviewing so many vendors who charge for parking, mileage, travel with limited distance and upcharge for each additional artist. HDG has is packaged so you know the cost per person. It was easy planning with them; their response time was quick and they include out of office replies so you know if they won't be able to respond for a while due to the demand of business. We had a fun time at our hair/makeup trial and felt extremely comfortable expressing what we wanted, tweaks, etc. We never felt we would offend the artist and ultimately they wanted us to feel 100% on the big day. The wedding day getting ready was seamless. The timeline we prearranged with Jess (Beauty Coordinator) was so helpful so our bridesmaids knew what time each service was and when they needed to go to their artists' chair. Every single one of our bridesmaids loved their hair and makeup and many wished they could of had HDG for their wedding (truly, I am not just saying this!). Samantha did both our bridal makeup and Melissa and Stephanie did our bridal hair and we are still swooning over how we looked. When I tell you not a single hair was out of place and our makeup still looked flawless at the end of the night, that should help solidify HDG for your big day! We are so thankful!

ot of makeup I was not quite sure what I wanted for my bridal look, but Madison my makeup artist made me feel comfortable and listened to what I was wanting. Being able to have a trial and see what the makeup would look like made me confident going into my wedding day. Tatum the hair stylist was so great with not only my hair but with all of my bridesmaids of different hair lengths and textures. She knew exactly what to do for each bridesmaid to make them look and feel their best! Both my hair and makeup stayed on perfectly throughout the day. I could not have asked for a better hair and makeup team!

On the day of the wedding, my makeup artist and hair stylist were very efficient and were able to work at the same time to put my look together in less than an hour. I was stunned by how beautiful my hair and makeup looked, it was absolutely flawless, and despite the fact that it was a sweltering and humid summer day, my look stayed in place until the very end of the night.
