Benny from Helios was such a great photographer for our engagement photos and wedding day! We could not say enough good things about working with Benny and neither could our weddin...
g party! Benny always has a smile and has a laid back, fun approach to capturing our photos. He was very engaging and even scouted our wedding location for our first look before the big day. We were so lucky to have a friend recommend Benny and Helios to us and we have already passed our recommendation to more friends. Thank you for everything Benny!!!!!
Benny was amazing to work with! He was so laid back and kept talking to us during photos, so it felt very natural and not awkward at all. We told him the general area we wanted p...
ictures taken at and he found some really unique spots. He did a great job of capturing our personalities in the pictures, which was awesome. I would definitely recommend using Helios!

enal. He isn't afraid to try new things in terms of the photography but the experience was the best part. He was very helpful with ideas on shots, locations, and even other vendors we needed for our wedding.
He definitely does his research with locations and couples before doing anything. He knew our wedding venue inside and out so he was super prepared for the big day. He even researched the hotel ahead of time so he could be there for every little piece of the day. He worked a very long day and got absolutely amazing photos. He very much captured the spirit of the day and created timeless photography that we will look at for years to come.
His personality is what brought everything all together. We had several family members who are 'camera shy' and he even got them to laugh so hard that our photos are priceless. he made everyone including me feel extremely comfortable and calm. The big day was very busy and had the potential to be very stressful but working with him just put me at ease. I was very confident he would get great shots all on his own and he really delivered. I will definitely recommend him to anyone I know who is getting married.
I am very particular and picky with my photography, and this is the one thing in our wedding we splurged on in our budget. It was money very well spent!!
I shopped around for photographers for MONTHS! My fiance and I choose Helio's because of his amazing online portfolio. We set up our engagement photos with him (included in our pac...
kage) and we literally fell in love him-I thought my fiance was going to run away with him! :) He made us feel so comfortable as I am not to comfortable taking pictures. He brought us all over St. Paul and local parks and the new train depot-he knew so many amazing spots. All of our friends and families commented on how great our pics were-they weren't all "posed", alot of them were us of laughing and doing "crazy" things, they were so good! So for the wedding I gave Benny (the owner) free reign with photos, and by the end of the night I had people asking me who the photographer was because he was so good and funny. He is engaging and artistic and can make a simple pose amazing. I would recommend him to anyone for any occasion-you WILL NOT regret it.
As for the cost-it was very reasonable. Benny worked with our budget and went above and beyond. The day of the wedding he was there at 10:00 to begin photos for hair/makeup and around 2:00 a second photographer came as well to work with him. Benny stayed until after 10:00 pm, well after the videographer had left. I told Benny at one point if he needed to go leave I understood, but he said he was having to much fun and getting great shots-and stayed. He was definitely one of our best choices for our wedding! :) Thank you Benny!!!
Helios photography was amazing! I was thrilled with how our engagement and wedding photos turned out, but even more than that Benny was just awesome to work with. He and his wife (...
who was his 2nd shooter at our wedding) were a great team and captured so many great memories. They were able to connect with us on a friend level and that made us feel so comfortable around them. We received endless compliments on our photographers during and after the wedding.
Helios Photography was extremely professional & fun to work with. They were a great compliment to our wedding day.
My wife and I loved having Benny as our photographer.
When we looked at his work, we truly thought he was the best before we even spoke to him. It was icing on the cake that ...
he is easy to work with. He was very receptive to our ideas for locations for engagement and wedding photos, while still keeping a lot of great locations in his back pocket. He may make you climb on things and question where you are going, but we got some amazing photos by trusting him. If you were uncomfortable with anything, he listened and would try something new. In return we received some great photos.
We thought his price was reasonable, especially for how long he spent with us on the wedding day. He also made it very easy for us since we were from out of town. He also talks baseball for the guys!
We truly enjoyed Benny. We can't say enough good things about him.
Helio's Photography is truly amazing! For our engagement photos Benny went and "checked out" the area and made awesome suggestions as to wear/how we should do our pictures. They ...
turned out beautiful. Our wedding was located in Duluth and as Benny did for our engagement photos he did so for our wedding. I couldn't express enough how extremely pleased and thankful we were that we choose Helios. I now have memories that will last a lifetime and it went along with a very professional, excellent, and outstanding photographer! I highly recommend Helios for ALL your photography needs!

If I could say something here about this easy-going and quirky photographer, it would be this: Benny was the eye we were looking for on our wedding day. Our pictures were candid an...
d captured us perfectly. Benny encouraged lots of laughter b...etween my now-husband and myself, which only made us look *extra* smiley on our day . Benny is both flexible, friendly (and very silly!), and struck both of us as an old soul that we felt we'd known forever. With this in mind, it was easy to be behind the camera with him. He was accommodating to all the personalities of our family/friends, from making funny faces with my young nephews, to getting old stoic Norwegian fathers to crack real smiles. All who met him and were behind the camera with him liked being around his calm demeanor. They liked him even MORE when they saw the pictures.. All in all, I'd call him any day for any photo need
Benny is a true artist. He did more than photograph, he was able to capture the essence of my son's wedding. Working with him was easy. He was very professional and easy to contact...
with any requests or questions. He arrived early, took lots of shots and made everyone feel comfortable. We are so lucky to have had him. We really appreciate all the work he did and would highly recommend him.

gement photos to the sneek peek we had from our wedding, the quality was great! I would recoment him to anyone needing pictures for any event. His assistant was also really good. They made us feel really comfortable in what can be a stressful/nervous time. He also had a really good relationship with our DJ with made things run even more smoothly!

we were looking for, he had tons of ideas for other vendors he thought were a good match and locations around the Twin Cities for our photos. He also gave us an AMAZING deal because our wedding was off-season. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. He made us feel comfortable and was very non-intrusive the entire time. I would recommend Benny and Helios Photography to anyone who wants unique, creative, and personal photography instead of cookie-cutter pictures for twice the cost.

We could not have been any happier with Helios Photography! Benny and his wife are absolutely amazing, and they are geniuses at what they do. Benny also did our engagement photos, ...
and we continue to get compliments on those pictures as well. We have only seen a sneak preview of a handful of our wedding pictures, but we are in awe of everything we've seen so far. Benny is a true professional, and he has an amazing eye for unique and fun photo ops. Benny also came to our hotel early in the morning to get all the shots of the wedding party getting ready, and he stayed long into the night while the dance was going on. Another important point is that Benny has an amazing ability to put you at ease and make you feel completely comfortable getting your photo taken. I would highly recommend Helios Photography to anyone, and I truly believe they are the best!

you when or where anything was supposed to happen involving the pictures. But Benny has a gift for making you feel at ease when the circumstances are overwhelming. Trust that feeling of ease, and listen to the man. We ended up with relatives telling us they'd never liked wedding photos until seeing the results he produced. We never felt like he was in our face or in the way, but his images told the whole story of the day. Yeah, it's evident on his website that he takes incredible photos, but he's also kind and professional. Benny is the best in the business! Thanks!
We are beyond pleased with Benny and the Helios Photography crew. Photography was one of the very most important aspects to planning our wedding. My husband and I have that nosta...
lgic thing going on; we've always wanted to have phenomenal wedding photos that reflect who we are and tell the story of our wedding, so we can share that intergenerationally. Benny provided exactly what we wanted and needed. His photography speaks so much to the energy and the philosophy of our wedding. He really took the time to understand us, and therefore could capture our authentic presence. It was also just a pleasure to have him there; he made the wedding party laugh and have fun during formal shots, and he helped me relax and feel comfortable during every step of the way. It is also very clear to me how well-trained and tenured Benny is in his photography craft -- He delivers with the most beautiful, brilliant photos. Benny and his crew were professional, organized, and prepared. And the end result is absolutely stunning.
My best friend had Benny and Steve as photographers for her wedding and they were incredibly pleased with them! The photographer is part of a lot of the most special moments in a ...
wedding, that means they can be either really intrusive or you can feel very comfortable with them. That was one of the main reasons we loved having Benny and Steve, it was like having friends around and it made the shots very genuine. We have talked about Helios so much and how we loved the pictures that when it came to deciding for my own wedding there was no question. Benny showed up to my house when the girls did to get their hair done at 7:30am and both Benny and Steve were still at my reception after my husband and I left! We loved having a CD with all of our pictures on it so we could show people without having to drag along a book, and even when I lost that CD they were willing to send another :) That is the kind of service you will recieve! They were over the top incredible in the hard mix of being... professional yet funny and creative, and capture incredible shots yet without being intrusive. We were so extremely pleased and we would recommend Helios to anyone! In fact we plan on using them in the future for family pictures!

led for help to get the doors unlocked, but roadside assistance would not get there for 30 minutes. Without hesitation, Benny grabbed a rock and broke through the window of the car! They retrieved the camera equipment in time before the wedding began. Benny did not make us aware that there was even an issue allowing us to focus on our day. Completely impressive!
As for the shots, Benny truly has an "artist's eye". He really got to know us and used this as a way to capture perfect moments just for us. Benny has a way of finding the right balance and creativity for each shot - whether it being a classic image or something unique to our special day! We recommend Benny to everyone, no matter what style of wedding. Thanks Benny!
Benny shot our wedding almost nine years ago and the experience was so positive. He found that rare balance between the classic and the exotic. Benny has a way of capturing shots...
that you don't usually see in typical wedding albums...ones that break through the veneer of the event to reveal the honest truths of the wedding day. Yet he still manages to capture the classic shots people expect as wedding staples.
The wedding photos Benny took nearly a decade ago still bring us great joy. We love how timeless they are. Guests and friends who see them invariably ask "who shot these, they are incredible?" And we are proud to tell them about Benny and the services he provides through Helios Photography.
Benny is an artist, book with him today! You WILL NOT regret it!

Helios did a superb job! Professional, friendly and not obtrusive like other wedding photographers I've seen. We loved them.

kes our photos simply one of a kind. The comments I have recieved from friends and family on our pictures have all started out with a "WOW, who took your pictures!!!!" If you want a worry free day and a perfect way to remember it you need to hire these guys. They were very flexible on meeting at our convenience, very prompt when replying to emails, they arrived before we did to our engagement photo shoot and to the salon the morning of the wedding. I was asked to provide a timeline and any out of the ordinary pictures I would like. every moment I wrote down was captured on camera and edited to perfection. These guys also scouted out nearby areas to find the perfect back drop for our unique photos, which was a suprise to all of us in the wedding party and the experience was priceless and full of laughter! Unforgetable!!! My wedding party was just as excited as we were to get our pictures back. I was asked everday for a month "when do you get the pictures?" Thank you Steven and Benny. You guys made my day perfect!!! Worth ever dollar.
