About this vendor
Heart Studios is a salon specializing in wedding beauty services in downtown Miller Beach in Gary, IN. Owner Annie Rose founded the lovely little shop in 2020 after spending over a decade working at top Chicago salons. She moved to Miller with her now husband in 2018 and wanted to bring her hair expertise to this growing community and work closer to home. Annie has been in the wedding biz for 15+ years and combines modern styling techniques, professionalism, and a personal touch that all her clients can vouch for! Her specialties include short hair styling (yes, it's worth it if you have short hair!), curly hair styling (you can totally wear your curls and look elegant!), working with extensions (The BEST way to get those long wavy hairstyles to last!) and braids. She loves both up and down styles and will be sure your look lasts all night long, through photos, ceremony, and onto the dance floor! She'll also ensure your morning getting-ready party is organized and on time so you can just relax and enjoy the pampering!
Annie is more than happy to join you at your location in NWI, Southern MI, Chicago, or the surrounding suburbs. If you are looking for the perfect place to get ready, Heart Studios is a beautiful plant-filled salon with plenty of parking out front in the downtown neighborhood of Miller Beach, nestled in the Indiana Dunes. There are perfect outdoor photo spots in the woods a couple of blocks away or at the beach, a 2-minute drive down the road! We also offer getting-ready packages with the local coffee and bagel shops to make your morning as smooth and easy as possible!

Two of my best decisions when I decided to get married was choosing my now husband and the other was booking Annie for my wedding.
My hair and all of my four bridesmaids' hair la...
sted the entire day, not a single drooping curl or flyaway. Each of us requested a different updo and Annie more than delivered; my sister wanted a classic french twist, others wanted braids, a bun, curls...whatever picture my bridesmaids showed, Annie executed it perfectly. I loved my hair, too. I didn't have a picture in mind, but Annie helped me discover the perfect updo. To this day, I have guests who compliment Annie's work.
And, most importantly, Annie kept a calm, fun atmosphere. Getting ready for my wedding was stressful (you try managing your future father-in-law checking in on you while you're wearing a robe), but Annie was unflappable. She took clear pride in her work and boysie, did it show.
I truly cannot recommend Annie enough!
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Annie! She did my hair, three of my bridesmaids’ hair, and my mother-in-law’s hair on my wedding day — and all on a kinda last-minute boo...

We decided to get everything done at her shop, and she immediately made us feel right at home. She even surprised us with champagne to celebrate!!! That was such a sweet touch and made the morning feel extra special! 💛
Throughout the entire process, she was incredibly friendly, down-to-earth, and easy to talk to. Her communication over the Knott app and over text was great and convenient. We could send her inspiration photos, ask questions, and she always responded quickly and kindly. Plus, when I couldn’t decide on a hair piece, she helped me choose the perfect one!
My hair was everything I hoped for and more, and all of my girls looked absolutely gorgeous. She is truly talented at what she does, and she made the whole experience stress-free and enjoyable.
I would recommend her 100000x over.
If you’re looking for someone who is not only skilled but also kind, thoughtful, and genuinely cares about her clients, she is your girl! 💕
I have never felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day thanks to Annie. My hair was lovely and stayed all night. Annie went out of her way to do my trial hair and was very p...

Annie is amazing, great listener and very talented. No regrets and highly recommended!
Annie is amazing! I hired her to do my hair for my wedding as well as all my bridesmaids. Annie did a trial with me ahead of time to make sure what I envisioned came to life. She m...
ade everything look so easy, not to mention I left loving my up-do. On the day of the wedding, Annie was super fun and professional. She was a machine doing all of our hair and keeping to our timeline. I LOVED my look and trusted her whole heartedly to do my wedding hair. She made sure to stop throughout the process and made sure I liked where my look was going. My up-do held up all night and that was also really important to me. Thank you, Annie!!!
