Heads Up Penny

e job and put in 100% effort despite most of my guests not being huge dancers. They were conscious of the venue and were not too loud for the small space. My now husband and I happily danced the night away, and we heard dozens of compliments on how amazing the band was. So many people told us it was the nicest wedding they had ever attended, and I think the band was a huge part of that. Not only did they sound great, they were so personable and learned two songs for us. I am trying to figure out how we can hire them again since we enjoyed it so much. Already planning to check out one of their live shows around town. If you're on the fence about booking these guys, do it!!! You won't have any regrets!

st dances, mic'ing our officiant, and MC'ing our entire event! Most importantly, they were amazing performers with such a fun setlist. Our guests are still raving about the music a week later. Highly recommend HUP to anyone considering a live wedding band in NC! We can't wait to party with them again.

been to! I thanked them too many times to count. They were so good! Would recommend to anyone 10 out of 10 times.

eryone dancing. We always go to see them play when they are in town!!

able reception and we couldn’t ask for more!

ting for any song request we gave them. We had read the reviews, but I did not realize how truly awesome they would be. Overall, they are super talented musicians and amazing performers. We received so many comments during and are still receiving texts about how much our guests loved the band. Even a lot of our vendors that were there asked about them because they were so impressed. Would highly recommend, worth every dollar and more.

dful of songs that we special requested. Rushton was very responsive to my messages, and he has a great voice! The band also has two EPs of their own original music which I highly recommend!!

e entire booking process all the way up to the week of! They learned and customized our first dance song for us, they learned extra songs just for us, and not only did they learn them, they NAILED THEM. I literally cant explain how amazing these guys are! I wish we could do our wedding all over again just so we can have them back! Currently thinking of an excuse for another party so they can play! The variety of songs that Heads Up Penny can play is amazing. Everyone at our reception raved about them and my older brother, who’s a music lover like me, described Rushton as smooth. HUGE COMPLIMENT. My 5 year old daughter keeps talking about them, EVEN BIGGER COMPLIMENT! It takes a special talent to do what these guys do. The transition between genres was impeccable and the vibe never stopped! Our wedding only had about 50 people and they didn’t let that discourage them from performing to their max potential. At the end of the night I was wishing these guys were my friends so I could just hang with them! So down to Earth, cool, and smooth :) THANK YOU HEADS UP PENNY FOR GENUINELY MAKING OUR BREWERY WEDDING A DREAM. I am forever grateful for everything you did for us and we will be coming to watch you guys play again soon! If there is ONE thing you budget for - it’s these guys. No if’s, and’s, or but’s about it. You won’t regret it and you’ll have everyone asking how you managed to get such an awesome group of guys! AGAIN THANK YOU SO MUCH!

sicians were very talented on a wide range of songs and got everyone dancing. Would absolutely recommend!

great the band was. They had the entire wedding dancing and entertained all night long! Seriously the best!

We asked HUP to perform music for the Ceremony and Reception, as well as MC the event. All was done professionally and sounded fantastic. This band's range is tremendous. Country, Pop, Rock, R&B, Soul, it all sounded incredible. Guests came up to us throughout the night asking how we had found them. To top it off, calls of "encore" echoed through the ballroom after the set was complete, and they obliged. I've been to a few weddings, and never heard a band receive a call for an encore. Hiring Heads Up Penny is a NO BRAINER. You will not be disappointed.

u don't book them you've made a huge mistake

e emailed them right away and Rushton was quick to respond. We scheduled a time to see them play in Raleigh, and booked them right after. Then we went to see them play at local places any other time we could. The guys were always sweet and said hi to us when they saw us there. They took our song requests and let us choose songs from their cover list for our wedding. We had a dry wedding, but it was far from boring. They had EVERYONE on the dance floor for most of the reception. We got SO many compliments about our band, and we are beyond happy with the investment. They bring an energy and atmosphere that a DJ just can't compare to. I would definitely recommend booking HUP for your wedding if you want a banging party.

en they say it is their last song! Cannot wait to get these guys back to BHI for another event!

lowed through on all details the day of. We HIGHLY recommend them! :)

ergy is electric. They put on a show like you would expect from Billboard 100 topper. After hearing the guys play at our wedding, I'm not sure anyone even knew we got married. All anyone could talk about was how awesome the band was. They span almost every musical genre from country to rock to even a little funk. Each member is at the top of their game. These guys seriously know how to rock the crowd. There are thousands of wedding bands out there for you to choose from, but please trust me when I say that no band can make your big day more memorable than HEADS UP PENNY!
