HAZY LANE STUDIOS

she was a go-getter and immediately felt just a little bit safer amongst all the chaos that comes with organizing a wedding. She arrived at the venue on time and was immediately on top of her game, and wasted absolutely none of our time throughout the day. When it was time for photos she was there telling us where to look, what to do, and working crowd control among the various looky-loos who were showing up at inopportune times. Beyond the quality of the photography and the direction, Karey was a much needed source of structure and support throughout the day, picking up the slack where other professionals fell short. She is a perfect mix of kind, assertive, and professional, and I can confidently say that if you choose to hire her for your wedding you will be getting your money's worth.

e of weddings really put us at ease and helped when things got stressful! On our wedding day she was super efficient, fun, had lots of great ideas, and most importantly kept us all on time! The photos for both our engagement session and wedding are STUNNING! The website is very easy to use and view on mobile devices (I wish the platform software allowed for zooming in on a photo while viewing on a mobile device but that's literally my only complaint!) I really appreciated the wedding photos being organized by category so it is really easy to find a specific one later. She returned the photos to us surprisingly fast and I cannot say enough how beautiful they are!!

We had a wonderful experience with her, and the photos are absolutely beautiful! Highly recommend!

raphy day of. She gave me great advice in our pre-planning session. She always made myself and my husband feel very comfortable during both our wedding and engagement session. Her vision of backdrops, especially at CasaReal, is absolutely stunning! I could not recommend her enough!

new exactly what to do. It was perfect!

o take photos at our venue and we couldn't have been happier!

hotos and wedding. It was an amazing experience!!! There aren’t enough words to adequately express my appreciation for Karey! If you want a talented photographer that is honest, kind, and easy to work with - this is your place! I had to plan my wedding three times because of Covid. Yes, three times! Because of that I feel an extra bond with all of my vendors. One of our postponements involved our wedding getting cancelled the day before the wedding because of fires/ smoke conditions. During each pivot Karey remained supportive and patient. Colors changed, venues changed, but Karey’s level of commitment to making our wedding picture perfect was constant. I sent her SO many texts and emails with questions, and each time she was responsive! She has the perfect combination of talent and kindness. She executed exactly I wanted by listening to me but also offered her expertise when needed. We faced so many wedding hurdles, but every time it came to photography, I felt a sense of ease working with Karey. Overall, I’m proud to say our wedding day was perfect! Karey kept us on schedule with our timeline but managed to make everything feel seamless and stress free. We cannot thank Karey enough. We highly recommend Hazy Lane for anyone looking for a wedding photographer!

o badly to do Karey justice that I put it off until I had time to sit down and really put how much she meant to us down in words. Karey is incredible. First of all, her photos are works of art, seriously go look at her albums and they speak for themselves. What her photos can’t tell you but I will back 10000% is that Karey was so much more than a photographer to us on our day (and those leading up to it). I was so nervous and overwhelmed the day of, and the moment I stepped foot onto the venue grounds, Karey took complete charge, telling everyone where to be when to be there, all while taking incredible photographs. She made me feel at ease and helped me with more than she realize (she literally told me how I was supposed to cut the cake, since apparently neither me nor my husband thought to practice that part). Cue corny part, but I am absolutely convinced Karey has magic powers, she was literally everywhere at once, but so discrete and professional that most people don’t even remember seeing a photographer (and she had an assistant there too!). Unruly bridal party or family? Not to worry, Karey is a master at getting everyone where they need to be, fast and firmly. I seriously can’t say enough good things about our experience working with Karey (engagement shoot and wedding)! I can guarantee we will be looking to work with her again when we decide to start our family. We love her and you will too!

ne that had experience shooting multiple weddings at my venue both indoors and outdoors. My wedding planner was concerned that my reception was being held inside a winery with dark wine barrels and not a lot of natural lighting. It was a sigh of relief knowing Karey was a preferred vendor at the Palm Event Center. She made me feeling confident that she was familiar with the venue and even suggested the perfect starting time based on my wedding day’s golden hour. She was upbeat and fun. Prior to speaking with her, other photographers were disappointed to hear that my wedding was smaller with less than 80 invited guests on a Monday and offered less than 6 hours of coverage with a minimum amount of edited photos. With Karey, she offered an unlimited amount of time with coverage at the venue and gave me a customized package deal based on my Monday event. My husband who hates taking photos got lost meeting us for the engagement photos. Karey was patient and was able to deliver quality engagement photos despite our stressful situation. The day of the wedding, I was the one that arrived late to the venue. Karey took control and directed my wedding party so that we can make up for the time without sacrificing precious sunlight or ruining my ceremony start time. Karey was a Natural leader working and guiding other vendors to promptly gear up for all the wedding events such as wedding party introductions, first dance, speeches, bouquet/garter toss, cake cutting. She focused her efforts in ensuring she take the best shots of me and my groom. I appreciated her honesty in directing everyone so that she can capture better photos. For example, Karey hinted that there were enough photos of me wearing my ballgown overskirt and coverup top that I should remove it or I may regret keeping them on after the ceremony or moving my hair to She was right! My wedding didn’t happen perfectly as planned but it was still beautiful and everyone had a great time. I was so eager to share things online and I was pleasantly pleased Karey was able to immediately provide Sneak Peaks to post on social media. It was a pleasure working with her!

r church ceremony and reception at Blackhawk Country Club perfectly.

ers, which helped us stay on top of things and eased our minds leading up to our big day. On our wedding day, Karey provided direction to our large (and a bit rowdy) bridal party with ease and captured incredible shots. My husband and I are so happy with our wedding gallery, and we are so happy we selected Karey as our wedding photographer!

per responsive and communicative, which was very important to me and calming all of my anxiety when it came to planning our wedding. We got the 8-hour package and used one of the hours for our engagement shoot on Mt. Diablo which was totally worth it. It helped us to get comfortable working with her before our big day. Leading up to our wedding, Karey was super helpful with our timeline and planning all of the groups we wanted to get pictures with, which was tough because of my big family. On our wedding day, Karey showed up early, and the whole time kept us on schedule and knew exactly when and where to go to get all of the important pictures squeezed in to such a small time frame because of the early sunset in January. Our wedding was amazing, and having Karey as our photographer made the day go that much smoother and let us enjoy it without having to worry about anything. After the wedding, Karey got our pictures back to us within the time frame she promised. The pictures turned out to be amazing and captured everything so perfectly. The photo book that she made for us is such a treasure. If you are lucky enough to have Karey as your photographer you will not regret it. She is the best!

nized and responsible, and ABSOLUTELY MEETS BY TYPE-A STANDARDS. Two months in advance, she’ll send a questionnaire asking about day-of timeline, must-have shots, etc. One to two weeks in advance, she’ll meet with you to go over the plan and she’ll send an email with friendly reminders. On the wedding day, Karey is SURPRISINGLY EFFICIENT. There was one hour (between the ceremony and the reception) that was allocated for family photos, wedding party photos, and newlywed photos. It was a super-efficient whirlwind with Karey’s guidance on where to stand, suggestions on how to pose, etc. The photos are absolutely gorgeous and capture the happiness of our wedding day. I was also pleasantly surprised about the printed album – so beautiful and professionally done!

hat's hard to do when I'm the type that deletes almost every photo I'm in. She wrangled up our very large (some unruly) bridal party and made sure to get every picture in that we wanted. And the wedding album? GORGEOUS. She also did a spectacular job on our engagement pictures and made sure we felt natural in all our lovey dovey poses. I still can't choose my favorite photo. I would recommend Karey in a heartbeat. :)

y is just one of the many extra perks you get when you work with her. I was very overwhelmed with picking vendors that I didn't know and Karey was more than happy to make suggestions as we needed them. With her help our wedding day was perfect! I don't know if there is a more caring photographer in this business. Her love for her couples shines in her work. She hustles more than anyone I know and truly loves every minute of what she does which is an energy that easily transfers to her couples and their bridal parties. She easily handles any stressful situations and gracefully takes care of her couples. I could not recommend anyone more than I recommend Karey. You will be in excellent hands if you choose to go with her!

work speaks for itself. Her style is soft and romantic, yet her attention to detail is stunning. Each photo has so many more layers to it than first meets the eye, and with 1,700 from our day to choose from, there was no element of the day that was missed. Second, and most importantly, Karey is incredible to work with. Her experience and professionalism went SO FAR in planning for our wedding. I felt I could completely trust in her to do her job, which left me with one less thing to worry about on the big day. She was incredibly open to hearing about my style and preferences and got all of the shots I told her were important. She kept the wedding party and family in line, was quick and efficient, and made my husband and I feel so at ease during our couple photos. She had previously worked with my planner and videographers - and it was evident that they knew when to get in and out of eachothers way, and the final products were all the better for it. Thank you, Karey, for capturing our memories forever!

e rest!

. Her galleries are all beautiful, romantic, and modern-yet-timeless. Prior to the wedding, she met and spoke with us a few times to make sure we were all on the same page and gave us ideas to help make our day go smoothly. Oh the big day, she was able to work with our large bridal party and got our 'must have' pictures taken with ease thanks to her upbeat personality. We loved how comfortable she made us feel and the pictures and album that we have received are priceless. We cannot thank Karey enough for doing such a fabulous job and giving us gorgeous photos and memories from our special day!

ughing too hard speeches! Thank you Karey for capturing our big day and for giving us the best gift of timeless memories!

process. She is incredibly organized, which was vital to making the entire process run smoothly. Neither I or my husband are completely comfortable in front of the camera usually, but she made us both feel great, which made for excellent photos. Our engagement photos were gorgeous and I can't wait to see how our wedding pictures turn out. Thank you so much Karey!!!

ail just perfectly. I hired Karey to take our wedding photos at SF City Hall and I can’t even put into words how beautiful every single photo is. I literally had THE hardest time narrowing down the photos for our album – I wanted them all!! The album is gorgeous and such beautiful high quality lay flat images – it’s a work of art in itself. Karey is professional, courteous, and is great at giving direction (which you need at a wedding!). Her fun, bubbly personality makes the photos that much better. And her laugh – oh my goodness, it’s the best. You have a grand old time taking photos, she definitely makes it the best experience! I would highly recommend using Karey for any of your photography needs. She’s the best! Thank you Karey!!

g, and we are absolutely speechless with the results. Not only does she know how to capture the perfect angles and lighting, but she also has amazing editing skills which provide an incredibly romantic and ethereal final product. I have several friends who worked with Karey for their weddings, and once I saw their final photos I knew that as soon as we were engaged, Karey was going to be my first reach out. Hazy Lane Studios was indeed the first vendor we booked, and from the beginning Karey was ready to help us in any way she could. Upon our first meeting, she made us feel comfortable, and we immediately vibed with her. She has an extensive list of vendor recommendations at multiple price points, and is fast to respond to all forms of communication. Having never done a professional shoot before, my then fiance and I were very nervous and unsure how to act during our engagement shoot. Karey made the entire experience easy, fun and pleasant, and made us excited to shoot with her again for our wedding. The package we chose included a second photographer, and her colleague Rene was also amazing to work with. They make an incredible team and they captured our beautiful wedding to a T. Working with Karey is hands down one of the best decisions we made, and we are forever grateful to have such stunning photos to remember the most special day of our lives. We look forward to sharing these memories with our children some day, and would recommend Karey to anyone and everyone looking for priceless photos of their special day. Karey, thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Nick & Anastasia <3

are ready for your big day. She is very well connected with other vendors in the area and was always willing to lend a hand if needed. The day of the wedding was more than I could have hoped for and Karey was able to get every shot I asked for as well as hundreds more AMAZING photos that my husband and I will treasure forever. She put my mind at ease when I needed it, kept us on schedule and was a delight to work with. We received many compliments from guests and venue staff at how great she was to work with. I would highly recommend Karey @ Hazy Lane Studios for your photography needs.

and helpful in far more aspects than just the photography. She offered help with finding vendors, forming a timeline, and much more. Going into the wedding, I felt extremely confident in Karey and she did not let us down. The day of the wedding, Karey helped keep everyone on track, was encouraging, fun, and helped make sure my husband and I felt so confident. We are currently only 2 weeks out from our wedding at The Palm Event Center. The day after the wedding we got to see 1 sneak peak on social media and have already received 100 (!!!!) sneak peaks to hold us over until we get the entire gallery soon. We are absolutely blown away by Karey’s talent. The pictures are more amazing than we could have ever imagined. She captures the perfect mixture of posed and candid moments and uses natural lighting so beautifully. We cannot stop looking at these pictures and can hardly believe that we have so many more coming! Our wedding turned out perfect and Karey played a huge role in that. I highly recommended booking with Karey. She is one wedding planning decision you will never regret!

friends fast enough so everyone could enjoy the party! When she was taking photos of just my husband and I she made us feel completely comfortable. She was a pleasure to work with leading up to and on the day of our wedding but what was truly incredible were the results of her work! Our photos are INCREDIBLE! She gave us so many wonderful ones to choose from that it was overwhelming. Not only that, but knowing that the holiday season was coming up and we would want to share the photos in gifts and cards, she created our gallery in half the time we were expecting! We, along with all our friends and family, absolutely love looking through the photos and reliving this amazing day. Thank you Karey!!

go to do our engagement shoot on the beach, and the photos were stunning! She made us instantly feel comfortable in front of the camera, and kept the mood light and fun. The day after the wedding we saw a couple teaser photos and were obsessed! It has been about a month and we are already looking through our wedding album to choose our favorites for our album! I can't believe we got everything back so fast. Karey really listened to what was important for us, what we wanted to make sure she captured. I am so happy we chose her to capture our big day. Would recommend her again and again!

f the best vendors we had at our wedding. We still get countless compliments on our wedding pics!! Karey is all the things. Seriously. You can not go wrong. She's got an amazing eye and made us both look and feel natural! Our pics are the perfect balance of posed shots and natural poses. And the lighting is always perfection. You will be in amazing hands with Karey-and boy does she deliver! We hope to use Karey again in the future!

ferent options and was a great fit for us. She has a well-oiled process to identify the must-have shots of the day and quick follow-through in getting your pictures back to you after the event. Karey has an excellent disposition and really made us comfortable, which helped so much in producing pictures we love and will cherish forever from that day. Thanks Karey!

nd more. The execution was on point and the wedding day went as planned. Karey sticks to a schedule and makes sure everyone is on the same page, which helps with the other vendors as well. Our wedding album came and it was better than we could have imagined. It is amazing and we cannot wait to order more prints to decorate the house. Our wedding was beautiful and Karey helped capture every moment so we can relive our special day. Karey was incredible and we would highly recommend her to our family and friends.

understands your vision. Throughout the entire process, Karey was extremely organized, professional and also FUN. Whether it was over the phone, via email or in person, she was always a pleasure to communicate with. As our wedding date approached, she sent periodic emails which kept us on-track with regard to timeline, shot lists and other logistics. On our wedding day (which was just on Oct 8), Karey was simply fantastic! So easy to work with and talented. We truly couldn't have picked a better photographer. We are definitely members of the Hazy Lane Studios fan club and I would highly recommend Karey to anyone!

a wedding of 250 guest. Her ability to grab people's attention during large group photos was perfect, not too aggressive and just what we needed with a large Chinese family. I highly recommend Karey. Her photos came out beautiful.

gs going on on your wedding day and it was really nice not to have to worry about any of our photography. Karey got all of the shots we wanted and then some. I would highly recommend her (and have)! Thank you, Karey for doing such a great job. I hope we have other reasons to use you in the future!

vorite vendors we worked with. Our engagement shoot was in Yosemite and she was incredible to be around and made both myself and my husband feel so comfortable during all the shoots. From what I remember this was her first time shooting a henna night and a Persian ceremony but I wasn't hesitant about it at all. Her work speaks for itself....she is efficient with her time and was a pleasure to work with. Photography was one of the main parts of our wedding that I truly cared about. I met with multiple photographers and I knew we would have the most special moments captured by Karey immediately after viewing her work online and chatting with her. My husband and I loved working with Karey and cannot wait to have another special occasion so we can have an excuse to work with her again. We have and will continue recommending Hazy Lane Studios to our friends and family. Thank you for all your hard work. We love you, Karey!

red our wedding beautifully as well as our engagement and after all that our baby! She the nicest to work with a jet albums are amazing! I recommend her to all my friends and family!!

and after meeting her ONCE for coffee, I knew she was "the one" LOL! Karey was with us through the entire process: our engagement photos, the rehearsal dinner, the wedding day, a sexy (and secret!) boudoir shoot where she made me feel 100% comfortable, and on top of that, my husband and I are expecting, and I have requested that Karey do our newborn shoot coming next year. She is all-around amazing! Also, one thing I LOVE about her is she is not afraid to take charge - all brides need that! As you can tell, can't say enough about Karey and the way she operates. Every single photo came out flawless, and this newlywed couple couldn't be happier!

ted when creating our timeline. Leading up to our big day, she kept in touch and sent me cute reminders which I thought was so sweet and thoughtful! The day of the wedding, I was so comfortable with her, I didn't have to worry about a thing. She was gracious but firm when she needed to be so we could get the pictures done quickly- something that I really loved about her! She made the day go so smoothly and made sure everyone stayed on schedule. When we finally received our gallery, we were in awe! The soft and romantic feel is exactly what I had envisioned and they were absolutely beautiful. And our sunset photos- stunning!!! We could not have been happier with the outcome! Thank you again, Karey! Xo

s evident that she takes amazing photos utilizing natural lighting. We had the pleasure of her taking our engagement photos at Mount Diablo, and our wedding photos at Casa Real. We are so happy with our photos! The wedding album we received was also amazing! It was such great quality and we find ourselves looking at it over and over again. Not only are Karey's photos incredible, but she made the whole process so EASY! The wedding day was so effortless when it came to taking out photos. Karey was everything I expected and more. I highly suggest any couple looking for a photographer to contact Karey because her work is amazing and she seriously will make thing so effortless! Thank you so much Karey!!!

s not a fan of having his photo taken and I was worried that he really wouldn't enjoy the process. The first thing that he said when we got in the car to head home was, "That was so fun! She made it so easy and I felt so comfortable." This is exactly how I would describe working with Karey. She is bubbly, energetic and extremely efficient. On the day of our wedding, we had a lot of family to wrangle together for photos and she did an incredible job. The day after our wedding, we saw a few sneak peaks on social media, two weeks later we received an album of our 70 sneak peaks and today, just three weeks after the wedding, we received our entire gallery. We were extremely pleased with such a quick turnaround especially considering the amazing quality of the photos. All of this being said, not only is Karey a pleasure to work with but her work is STUNNING! She is artistic beyond measure and we couldn't be happier with our pictures. The sunset photos are absolutely breath taking and truly one of her specialties. We can't wait for our next happy occasion so that we can work with her again. Thank you, Karey!

ideographer. She has a bubbly, easy going demeanor, which is great to have around on your wedding day! I highly recommend her.

nd what we wanted. I had no idea what to do about our timeline. She made it so easy by guiding us and creating one for us. When it came time for the big day, I was so comfortable with her, I didn't worry about a thing. She was gracious but firm when she needed to be so we could get the pictures done quickly so we had more time with our guests. We could not have been happier with the outcome. The pictures were beyond perfect! We have so many favorites! She is so talented!

inery romance. And our engagement and wedding photos also truly turned out amazing. Not only she was a professional on the day-of, but she followed through after the wedding. She quickly put together our wedding album from the photos we've chosen in the most story-telling way with a good layout. I couldn't have done it myself. My sister-in-law actually loved our engagement photos so much that she asked for Karey's contact info for her wedding next year. Do try to book Karey early, as more of her services become a la cart.

Karey was extremely organized, had great communication and just made the process fun. We chose the package that included engagement + wedding photos. Karey was very open to trying a new location that she had not previously shot at (Muir Woods) for our engagement session. I highly recommend getting engagement pictures done just so you get to know each other a little bit and Karey’s style. Karey is excellent at giving direction when taking photos. I think knowing how she gives direction made the wedding day go more smoothly. After looking at our engagement pictures, we wanted a few more head on shots for the wedding day, which Karey was open to and made sure to capture. We chose the package that includes two photographers for the wedding day. We decided to spend extra money on a second photographer instead of a videographer. I feel like two photographers gave us much more coverage throughout the day. Renee was Karey’s second shooter and also did a great job. Their styles are so similar that complete gallery is totally seamless. The wedding day went off without a hitch – all due to Karey’s organization and communication. Prior to the wedding day, she has the timeline down to a T. She is excellent at commanding the group to get the pictures done in a timely manner. And just trust her with the locations and lighting at your venue – she reads it perfectly. Our pictures were absolutely stunning. I feel like Karey captured all of the small details and emotions of the day beautifully. I will continue to use Karey in the future for family photos.

. The day of, she is super efficient and makes the day go as smoothly as possible. She's excellent at getting the wedding party's attention and is also so down to earth and makes the whole process comfortable and fun. Our wedding album is truly a work of art and we didn't change a thing. Everyone we have shown it to is absolutely amazed. The authenticity of Karey's work gives her something that other photographers don't. Here photos are absolutely breathtaking and she really knows how to capture anything perfectly. Since my wedding day, both my sister and cousin have booked Hazy Lane and it does not disappoint! To have Karey by your side is a must!

x couple, we were slightly nervous how any experienced photographer would accurately capture our special day since gay marriage is still somewhat new. Those worries were quickly laid to rest as she worked with us, our families and friends. Karey is amazing. Her ability to work with natural lighting is impeccable and our sunset photos are incredible. When we received our photo album, we were moved to tears as we turned page by page because we began to experience all the moments we missed that she saw through her eyes. We would HIGHLY recommend Karey to anyone seeking a referral. You will be blessed if she captures any of life's special moments for you! Thank you, Karey!!!
