Hazelfield Farm - KY flower farm and floral design

for florals for our wedding and for table decorations. It is such a plus that Hazelfield grows their own flowers and they are not shipped from southern states. This saves money as it cuts out the "middle man" and assures that the flowers are seasonal and local. The flowers were so fresh - they looked like they had been chosen and cut the day of the wedding!! The bridal bouquet was stunning as were the bouquets for the bridesmaids. The flowers for the guy's lapels and the mom's wrists were also fresh and so beautiful. We would choose Hazelfield farms a thousand times, a million times over!

l expectations. I loved the arraignments, colors, textures, and variety. I was married in mid-August and wanted to use the natural, colorful summer blooms to brighten an industrial venue. From the beginning, I fully trusted Sayward to deliver. Hazelfield Farm had clearest, easy-to-use, proposal out of ANY vendor we worked with and stayed within our floral budget. Trust me, when you work with Hazelfield Farm, you know your money is going towards the flowers. What is not to love? Sustainable, farm-to-table, local, family-owned and operated.

eye for design. All my guests were raving over my flowers and how beautiful they were. I am so happy that Sayward was a part of my special day and made it absolutely beautiful.

ever seen. All of their flowers are grown on their farm in Wheatley, KY without any pesticides or chemicals. From bouquets, wreaths, flower crowns, center pieces, aisle decorations, you name it, they can do it. I am so happy we chose Hazelfield Farm. They are the best of the best!

es and various flower aisle markers. They took my vision and made it better. The small touches that they incorporate are what makes Hazelfield so special. From the sprigs of lavender in our boutonnieres to the detailed braiding in the table garland. The flowers were my favorite part of the entire reception and truly made our elegant vision come to life. Sayward did everything with a smile on her face, my fiance even commented at how sweet and great she was to work with. In choosing Hazelfield farm, you aren't just getting the best, you are also supporting a fully organic, family run farm. I know I sound like I am advertising for them, but I truly can't say enough great things about them. If you are looking for great service, elegant arrangements and someone who will listen to your vision and bring it to life, call Sayward at Hazelfield Farm.

verything, you're amazing!

autiful. Everyone at the wedding was complimenting! Will definitely use them whenever needed again. Highly recommend!!! Give them a call!

I had an idea of what I wanted for my bouquet and arrangements, but I’m not well versed on flowers or related terminology. In our consultation with Sayward she knew exactly what questions to ask to ensure she understood what I was looking for, and then she and her mother brought a vision I couldn’t even totally verbalize to life! It was as if they had known me my entire life and knew EXACTLY what I would want. The bouquets and all the arrangements they created were perfect. We also purchased buckets of stems to do some of the table arrangements at the reception, and the flowers provided were stunning. We had more than enough to create our centerpieces as planned. Sayward and Theresa are wonderful to work with. They were super responsive via email, and flexible with additions and changes. They even let me drop off containers at the local farmer’s market instead of driving out to the farm. (although I TOTALLY recommend driving out to the farm for your consultation – it’s beautiful!). Overall we were so, so please with their services. Thank you Hazelfield!!

n overlooked or treated as a low priority by our vendors. Hazelfield never, ever made me feel like our wedding was anything other than their top priority. Sayward responded to all of our emails quickly and with such attention to detail. She incorporated flowers that were meaningful to us as a couple whenever she could. Our flowers were absolutely stunning, and I am so impressed with what they did on such a tight budget. When I picked up our flowers, I realized I hadn't communicated exactly what I wanted in our bridesmaid bouquets, and I was a bit concerned they didn't mesh with the rest of our wedding colors. I called Sayward to ask about our options to swap out other colors, and she drove all the way from the farm to our home in Cincinnati at 6 am the morning of our wedding. I think this speaks not just to the quality of their business, but about the family as people--they are kind and caring, and I would 100% recommend them to any couple looking for a florist.

r team was so pleasant and easy to work with. Every time I sent an email asking for a change, the response was always of course! We loved our flowers and could not have been happier. Thank you!

id and she was right. I told her what colors we wanted and we got whatever was local and seasonal for our day. She grew beautiful lilies, daffodils, tulips, and gorgeous greenery. Two days before the wedding my girls and my mom and I went down to the Farm and Teresa and her daughter helped us put together all of our own bouquets, boutonnieres, centerpieces, and accent flowers. She catered to our budget and even delivered the flowers to a local market the morning of our wedding. On the day there was an extra bouquet of daffodils included. I could not be more pleased with the beauty and the service. And we learned an amazing skill! Teresa will design and do the decor if you want her to, but this DIY option with her help is so wonderful for budget conscious brides. I recommend her wholeheartedly.

nd visited the farm and were able to choose the colors and types of flowers we liked best by just walking around the fields with the owner and her little grandson. We loved the variety and uniqueness of the results. They are also very reasonably priced.

. We had some much to work with that every nook and cranny was stuffed with beautiful fresh flowers :)

ly farm tucked away in Wheatley, Kentucky, Hazelfield is paradise for a flower-loving couple like us. The farm is committed to raising their flowers naturally, using no chemical fertilizers or pesticides. The results are stunning. In addition to flowers, Hazelfield Farm also grows vegetables and operates a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture.) Working with Teresa at Hazelfield Farm for our August wedding was simply an incredible experience all around. We visited the farm, about a 45 minute drive from Louisville, and were completely blown away by the beauty of the flowers and by Teresa's commitment to sustainable farming. We loved the idea that all of our wedding flowers would be grown in Kentucky in an environmentally responsbile way. We both adore flowers but are opposed to the way in which mainstream flowers enter our markets, grocery stores, and florist shops. Not only do most flowers travel halfway around the world before reaching the consumer (racking up miles and miles of unneccessary fuel usage), but it is nearly impossible to find foreign-grown flowers that are farmed in a way that is ethical for laborers (just Google labor conditions for Colombian flower workers- the stories are haunting.) Choosing in-season flowers that are locally grown is a wonderful choice, and Hazelfield Farm was the perfect choice for us. Sometimes making "green" choices equals a higher price tag, but Teresa worked with us on our budget and her quote was far less than most mainstream florists would charge for wedding florals. She was so accommodating and has lots of experience with weddings so she was able to give us advice on what we could pass up (costly planters to decorate the outdoor ceremony space- no one really notices them!) and what would make a big impact (hanging floral arrangements on our wedding arch.) She was right- we got so many compliments on the flowers! She also worked with us to minimize our spending on centerpieces by reusing our ceremony flowers as centerpieces (she created hanging baskets of ferns with fresh flowers mixed in and hung them on shepherds hooks for the ceremony aisle flowers; we took them inside and placed them on tables for the reception centerpieces.) My bouquet was the most wonderful menagerie of loveliness!! All of our flowers were absolutely gorgeous and, thanks to Teresa's careful treatment of the flowers pre-ceremony, they stayed fresh and beautiful throughout the evening (chemical-free flowers sometimes get too wilty) and we were able to send friends and families home with beautiful arrangements. We highly, HIGHLY recommend Hazelfield Farm to anyone looking to use organic, locally grown flowers for a wedding. We couldn't be more delighted with them!
