Hayley is amazing! As mother of the Bride, and on the list to have make up done for the wedding, I was cognizant of what heavy make-up "for the camera's sake" looks like, especiall...y on someone my age. Before finding Hayley, I booked a make-up trial at a local salon, thinking that if they could do well with my make-up, the younger faces would be a breeze. There, the make-up artist used my own lipstick to be sure I'd like the color, and as it turned out, that was the only thing I didn't hate. I was discouraged by the whole finished product. I asked the "artist" how she trained. She hadn't. I went on to scrutinize photos in portfolios of many other local make up crews, trying to find someone who left clients looking as stunning as possible but natural. Hayley Upshur's clients were the only ones I thought fit the bill, even though I only had online photos and reviews to go by. Hayley wasn't easy to make contact with - there were long gaps between responses, but my daughter was persistent... On the day of the wedding, Hayley arrived with all of her gear including chair, lights, application apparatus and her glowing personality. She thoughtfully sorted through, maybe even concocted (I couldn't see what she was doing), the perfect colors for the skin tones of each bridesmade/mom/mother-in-law. We all left her chair very pleased. My daughter looked SO BEAUTIFUL! Our make-up in the photos looked great. Even better, our make-up looked beautiful in person, too.
