Our wedding at Hawk and Hawthorne was a magical experience! Everything was on point, from the venue grounds to the staff. We rented the place for the full weekend and had a concert Friday night, wedding ceremony Saturday and a farewell brunch Sunday, for those who camped or stayed near by. We felt supported and taken care of each step of the way. We had a DIY wedding, which meant LOTS of questions in the planning process. We were supported and Nick (event coordinator) made plenty of time to support us and reassure us along the way. Highly recommend! Thank you to the Hawk team for supporting us in fulfilling our dream wedding!

We were so grateful to host our wedding weekend at Hawk and Hawhthorne! It was critical for us to find a venue partner that practiced genuine care for the lands and waters they steward, and Hawk and Hawthorne is going above and beyond to restore degraded lands into an ecological oasis. The lands, forests, springs, and view were all incredible, but the team at H&H is what truly made our weekend special. From the first call we had, we felt like we had deep thought partners and allies in creating something that would be a success for all stakeholders involved. They were incredibly flexible with our desires and requests, and seemed to have fun doing new things with us too. Their communication was clear and compassionate, and they did a great job setting clear boundaries with compassion when necessary. We felt so much kindness and love from the team throughout the weekend, from little acts of care to spruce up the lands, to showing us a beautiful moth that graced our wedding night, to driving around folks in the golf cart with such friendliness, to making our honeymoon suite so cozy. We felt so well taken care of. Some good perks: - The permaculture tour, dipping in the spring, the forest trails, and the gorgeous tobacco barn were all big hits. - Being able to truly relax into the space for a full 3-day weekend was HUGE - camping options were wonderful. - It's so hard to find sustainably grown flowers in general, so having our flowers come directly from the organic gardens at H&H was a major treat!

enue by a dear friend who is local to the area. We had a Friday reception with pizza from the pizza oven, Saturday ceremony with happy hours and late night, and Sunday breakfast/brunch with delicious food. We were welcomed to be on the land throughout the weekend and everyone deeply enjoyed the experience! Perks before engaging much with the staff: mostly all inclusive with a staff and venue coordinator who assist and manage most everything, deep connections and referrals to musicians, niche offerings like tea ceremony, etc. Extensive staff: bartenders, barbacks, sound/tech staff, chef, golf cart driver…. The only things we brought in were: a day of coordinator, silent disco, flowers and vases, and our cakes…. Everything else was sourced in house based upon the package we purchased. The staff! Goodness we were so cared for from the extra food that staff brought to the honeymoon suit so we had a late night snacks and cake, to the deep care of the venue coordinator who walked with us into the micro specifications of a DIY wedding… the joy and tender heartedness of the folks here and their happiness to be in this together was really special… it’s a lifestyle and a way of being that if you know, you know…. And if you’re seeking, you will find it here. The food was delicious, the botanical beverages were stunning, the venue and land were literally a privilege and a blessing to be with and to be blessed by. The nights were cool and the days were warm and the blue ghost lightening bugs shined on us. Babies played and children ran wild while the millennials danced, drank tea and enjoyed a fire… and our parents and grandparents gathered together in a beautiful reception hall transformed from an old tobacco barn. If you’re looking for a magical, precious and blessed place for your event and to weave it into being with a staff of intentional, bright hearted, and joyous folks this is the place! What a pleasure to invest in Hawk and Hawthorne and to be in reciprocity with what they’ve created and tend. Everything was honestly, perfect. If you’re oriented to communing with nature, good hearted folks, want the freedom to do it your way and be supported in your dreams by their visionary staff… choose this place. Honestly, if you’ve found it it’s probably already chosen you too. We hope to return and experience the place in different ways for a long while! l. The fall foliage, the decorations, the sunlight during the ceremony - absolutely stunning. The staff was incredible! Everyone we interacted with was so kind and supportive. The venue was stunning, tons of color and personality. The land has this incredible energy to it - everyone was having such a great time. I particularly loved the gardens, walking around and hearing about the permaculture farm. The spring water was delicious! The forest trails and stone circles gave us enough space to walk around and enjoy the day in its entirety. The venue also hosts concerts like Rising Appalachia, so they had an incredible sound system! Loved kicking off my shoes and dancing amidst the fireflies and under the stars. If you get the opportunity to visit the Hawk and Hawthorn, I would highly recommend!

The grounds are beautiful year-round, but with the fall leaves and wildflowers in early October, it was spectacular. Nick, Michael, and the entire H&H team went above and beyond in every way - setting up and breaking down, preparing incredible food, connecting us with vendors, and handling countless details behind the scenes. Everyone was warm, professional, and genuinely invested in making our weekend a success. Nick is a talented event producer with an incredible eye for both the big picture and the finer details. We toured a few different venues, but choosing Hawk & Hawthorne was an easy decision. The pricing was more than fair for everything included, and we would wholeheartedly recommend this venue to anyone planning a wedding or special event in Western NC.

e a rustic gazebo nestled in the breathtaking surrounding mountains), we knew we had found our place. The staff was fabulous. They had lots of work to do to clean up after the hurricane. They did not disappoint. We used their recommended decorations person who did the barn, guest tables, catering tables, the path up to the ceremony space and the ceremony space. Since she works with them regularly, she knew all the ways to make the place look magical. They were flexible and cooperative with us and our external caterer. They don't nickel and dime and you can feel that this is much more than a business. We could feel how much they cared about making our event special. The property is on sacred land and H&H honors and respects the sacredness of that land. It is a highly spiritual place. If that is something that aligns with your values, I highly recommend H&H for your wedding. You and your guests won't regret it. Many of our guests told us this was the most beautiful wedding they ever attended.

open air barn. We stayed the night in a brand new yurt on the property which was so beautiful and peaceful. We chose to have our wedding at the Hawk after attending many other events prior and falling in love with the land and feeling connected to its mission. From the very begging (over a year ago) they have been extremely supportive throughout the wedding-planning process, and I owe a ton of gratitude to their venue coordinator, who was super helpful answering all of my questions, available for in-person walk throughs of the land, video calls, you name it - they were available and responsive and kind throughout. The entire experience felt personal and highly attuned to our needs, and I feel that is something uniquely special that they provide over other venues. The venue itself and spirit of the land is pristine... ideal for an outdoor wedding with many locations for pictures. The barn is spacious for 100+ guests. There is a special nook for live musicians, a built - in bar, and full catering kitchen, ample parking etc. Overall we felt very "at home" having our wedding at the Hawk, and that feeling is something that will live in my heart forever. We had a not so awesome experience with our planner and the Hawk team stepped up and added so much value it was wild. One of the team became my impromptu DJ at one point... (like I said, above and beyond). I am so grateful for the team! Now.. on to the space. I think I dreamed up the property because it was truly one of a kind. From the natural flowing stream with fresh water, to the heart shaped pond (which is not at all cheesy ha!) to the amazing views... it was just epic. Plus so many spaces in the area are a bit more cookie cutter, and this one was truly unique. For anyone looking to embrace the natural beauty of Asheville and be supported by the most gorgeous land and crew of heart felt humans, this is the spot.
