We held our 70 person October 2025 wedding at Havana 59 and had a great experience! We were looking for a place that was in the downtown area and could provide a more intimate feel...
than the typical wedding venue. The staff was absolutely amazing and they helped us pull off the best day. Our family and friends raved about the unique venue, food, and overall experience. Daniel and the staff helped bring our vision to life from the ceremony on the 17th St. Market through cocktail and reception on the open-air rooftop. Would highly recommend considering Havana 59 when looking for wedding venues or just a fantastic place to eat.
We've been coming to Havana for years (since our 5th date!) and have always had a stellar experience, but our wedding reception was more than we could have ever hoped for. The upst...
airs spaces are gorgeous, and Dan, Jess, Staci and Ellen went above and beyond.
From planning and working with our coordinator to day of, Dan was exceptional. He worked our menu with us, mapped out a plan for the night, checked in regularly leading up to the big day, and even helped us find a mocktail version of Pablo's Punch for one of our signature drinks! Jess was a Rockstar behind the bar and kept up with our crowd like the professional she is. Staci and Ellen were incredible with our guests, kept the food and drinks moving to tables so efficiently I was convinced they were floating through the crowd. Our décor was set up beautifully; Jess, Staci and Ellen were beyond professional and still their fun, lovely selves! Our guests had a great time with and because of them.
The food was incredible! Our guests have been texting us non-stop in the 3 days since the reception trying to get the recipes from the Chef. We had almost no food left at the end of the night, the buffet was a hit, and cocktail hour appetizers had folks going back for seconds and thirds.
We'll of course keep coming back for dinner and drinks on date night, and definitely booking again for our next big event. Thank you to Dan, Jess, Staci, Ellen and the whole staff for being so wonderful to us over the years, and being apart of and helping make our wedding day beyond perfect.
My fiancé and I really like this venue. We’ve gone multiple times to salsa dance. Tried to book a consultation to discuss getting married here three times. He canceled or reschedul...
ed all three times. The last time, he messaged us the night before asking if we could move it up an hour or two… he made no effort to reach out after that. My fiancé was very upset.
My husband and I only saw one venue, Havana59, so we put a lot of faith in it and it did not disappoint! Havana59’s wedding space is awesome, we got so many compliments on how cool...
the space was. The marquee in the front is a truly unique touch! We loved working with Jessica. She was responsive and helpful, and on the day of relieved so much stress! We made the decision to have our ceremony at the restaurant last minute and they were able to accommodate us easily and set up the ceremony space beautifully! The bar and food staff were friendly and efficient too. We absolutely loved using Havana59 for our ceremony and reception and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a unique venue in Richmond!!

minimal decoration is needed with this beautiful building. We had about 125 people and the venue seemed very intimate.
This was the perfect venue! We had a brief ceremony followed by a reception. Not having to worry about set up and clean up made everything so much easier and gave us more time wi...
th our families. There were so many great options with food and the bar and planning was so easy. The staff was so friendly and easy to work with and things couldn't have gone more smoothly. Our guests are still raving about the fun they had, the great food, Mojitos, ambiance, view of the city, etc. I definitely recommend them.
I had my reception at Havana, and I was thrilled with the experience. We rented the second/third floors and had perfect weather. The space is beautiful (hardly any decorations need...
ed), and Jessica was incredible to work with -- very accommodating (with the band, photobooth, flowers, etc) during the entire process. The food was delicious (we did heavy apps), and my guests had an absolute blast. To top it off, there is no room fee -- just a food/beverage minimum which we easily met. I would highly recommend this space for a party of 100-120.
Low cost, adorable location, staff was great to work with! Can't think of a better place for a small wedding or rehearsal under 100 people.
