Haute performed the great and delicate job of cleaning and preserving my daughter's wedding gown... the dress was originally worn by my wife 30 years ago, and then was altered and ...
updated extensively for my daughter. Haute removed some stains, preserved and boxed it for what I hope will be our granddaughter's wedding 30 years in the future. I commend them for performing such a difficult and essential service with dedication and the attention it requires.
My wife and I got married 2 years ago and her wedding dress has still been hanging in our closet. After doing some research, I decided to check out Haute Hamper.
I reached out to...
Haute Hamper on their website and got a call back from Scott after under an hour. He introduced himself, explained his process of dress cleaning and preservation, and gave me some preliminary pricing. We set up an appointment for pickup shortly thereafter; very painless process.
About a day after the dress was picked up, he went through the pricing with me. I admit I was a bit nervous at first because of the stains that the dress had formed just from improper storage, but after he started the cleaning work, Scott was quickly able to clean the stains and got to work on the finer details.
A few weeks later, we received the dress in a beautiful display box, perfectly clean and preserved. The whole process was incredibly positive and pain-free, and the price was very fair for the work he did.
I also sent in 3 pairs of my favorite Cole Haan shoes to be resoled and cleaned, and his cobbler did an outstanding job.
I highly recommend Haute Hamper to anyone who needs wedding gown preservation or shoe restoration services.
Professional, timely, honest, quality work - those are words that come to my mind immediately when I think of our experience with Haute Hamper. I've used this organization several...
times and have repeatedly made referrals as well. In terms of projects: alterations on my Mother of the Bride gown, cleaning and storing of my daughter's bridal gown, shirts and pants alterations, dry cleaning of garments to name a few. Let's face it...when you are dealing with a vendor who is going to touch the clothing for or from your most special day - you need someone you can trust and you can trust Haute Hamper to do a great job - every time!
I purchased a new suit for my daughters wedding. Scott arrived at my home on-time and did the necessary due diligence to ensure my suit was altered perfectly. The suit was dropped...
off at my home less than a week later and the alterations were excellent. Scott sent me an email a few days after delivery to ensure the alterations met my expectations. I highly recommend Scott and Haute Hamper for the quality of their work and their commitment to customer service.

A lot of work to get it exactly how she wanted it . Scott & Amina were very accommodating, they returned to my home numerous times to make sure the dress was exactly how my daughter wanted it. Additionally they altered my gown and her sister's maid of honor dress. Scott even came to our hotel the day of the wedding to sew in lingerie straps into my dress!!! Excellent Service. I would highly recommend them for wedding dress and any other alterations.
They come to your home so you cant get more convenient that!!
The wedding dress was perfection!!!
Haute Hamper did an impeccable job tailoring the couture dress for my brother’s wedding in September. The dress required a lot of altering and wasn’t an easy dress to tailor becaus...
e it had a lot of layers. But still, the seamstress did a perfect job. The owner Scott even came to my home for the first appointment and couldn’t have been more gracious. The seamstress was so sweet. Best part is they come to your home! I would definitely use them again.
I had my wedding dress preserved after my wedding on 7/6/19. Scott came to my apartment to pick up the dress and dropped it off when it was ready. The dress came out beautiful and ...
packaged in a very nice box. The price was reasonable as well. I would definitely recommend!
They did an excellent job cleaning and preserving my wedding dress-I highly recommend them
Family owned concierge business. Scott and Lauren and THE nicest people. They come to you! Fittings are all in your home, around your crazy, hectic bride schedule. My dress arrived...
at the last minute - 2 weeks before my wedding (it was made in London) and Scott was so accommodating - even though it was probably his busiest time of year. He was so calm and he even tailored my son in my home. The whole process was seamless. There is no reason to use anyone else. They also pick up your kids disgusting camp trunks and return them completely sparkling. I also have to mention they make your old shoes look brand new. Absolutely love them & you never have to leave your home.
Amazing!!
I had a wedding gown that was not a simple straight forward alteration and bustle. We had 6 different layers underneath the dress, and I needed to remove some.

o dead set on having my bustle completely hidden and underneath, as I typically am not the biggest fan of bustles, especially on more of a ballgown.
Scott came to our house during each step of the alteration process, to make sure everything was done to my liking, before cutting and setting things in place.
My dress had a small stain, and needed a belt removed as well - looking at it now, you would have no idea either were ever there!
Scott was extremely responsive, and easy to work with. The work was done faster than I expected, and beautifully done
They transformed my wedding dress into my absolute dream gown!
I've been putting it off getting my dress preserved since I got married in October 2018 because it was too expensive. Most places wanted $500-700 because of the designer, beadwork,...
and length. I first went to Scott for tailoring just to check him out, but immediately booked a pickup for my dress. The process was seamless, he came to my home (Bronx), took my measurements for the pants, gathered all my wedding gown accessories (veil and garter), and went about his way. It's been about 7 weeks (I sent it off at the start of May) and I have my dress back in hand and it's perfect. The price of wedding preservation was reasonable (under $500). Highly, highly recommend!
I had a great experience with Haute hamper! Scott was great with communication and met me at my location to pick up my item. I had a pair of Sophia Webster heels that needed to be ...
cleaned and repaired and they did an amazing job! They cleaned up the satin on the shoe and also put rubber protection at the bottom. The heels were repaired fast and Scott delivered them back to my home within a few days. Overall, my first time experience was great and I was very pleased by the customer service. I will definitely be using Haute Hamper again!
