We had an amazing experience with Geoff and Hats Off Entertainment. From start to finish they were very careful in ensuring we had a perfect wedding day. Certain songs, events, ann...
ouncements, etc. It was exactly what we asked for and more. On the day of our wedding, Geoff was so efficient in making sure he knew what we needed in the moment, and checking to make sure everything was going as planned. I cannot recommend them enough.
My husband and I highly recommend Geoff at Hats Off Entertainment for a wedding DJ!
Geoff’s professionalism was evident from the beginning. His communication was excellent! He gav...
e quick responses to questions via email and had us fill out a Google Form to put together our reception timeline and request songs for the important reception events. As the wedding date got closer, we had a final phone conversation where we explained our overall vision for the music to Geoff, and he even practiced how to say our wedding party’s names with us. He truly cared about making sure he was the perfect announcer!
Also, Geoff took the time to curate playlists ahead of time for the cocktail hour, dinner hour, and dance floor based on our personal preferences. He could download any song we wanted, even one for a special Irish folk dance that my family typically does at weddings. This was very important to me! When I needed to make a last-minute change to how he would announce one of our timeline events, I emailed him the week of the wedding. Geoff replied right away and said it would not be a problem!
On the wedding day, Geoff was the true master of ceremonies. He kept the evening moving smoothly and made announcements with confidence, allowing everyone to enjoy the moment. Guests danced all night, which showed Geoff’s ability to read the crowd and move between genres, ensuring everyone had a great time. For example, the beginning of the night featured songs from older decades that pleased the entire multigenerational crowd, while modern club songs were played towards the end of the night when the younger guests were dominating the dance floor. Guests complimented how much fun they had and how good the music was. Most of our guests stayed until the reception ended because they were having such a great time!
Geoff went above and beyond to make the wedding day perfect. He even coordinated with our photographers to make sure we were able to take pictures with each table of guests and with some extended family groups we were unable to get pictures with after the ceremony. He also asked for alumni from the high schools my husband and I attended to come up and take a photo with us, which meant a lot to both my husband and myself.
Geoff from Hats Off Entertainment is highly recommended for any couple looking for a professional, versatile, and fun wedding DJ to make their day unforgettable. Thank you for making our wedding reception the best party ever!
DJ Jim did a fantastic job for our wedding! He ran the show perfectly. He stuck to the schedule as much as possible, but was flexible. He came to us for specific guidance questions...
, but also spoke directly to the photographer and did a great job independently running the show. He played most of our playlist annd all of our must-plays, and combined it with danceable songs as well as requests from the guests. We highly recommend Hats Off!
Hats Off was recommended to us by a few friends & did not disappoint. Communication & planning was easy. Our day off DJ did not disappoint, our dance floor was packed the entire ni...

gs were played and all of our names were announced correctly! There were a few last minute changes during our event that threw off the original timeline but our DJ Donny adapted and overcame the challenges we threw his way! If you are looking for a DJ I would recommend these guys hands down. They kept the party going!
Jim was our wedding DJ and he was so great to work with! We also had a lot of communication with Geoff to get everything coordinated. Both were very organized in helping us make a ...
timeline and flexible when things needed to be changed. Thank you for giving us a perfect night!
I chose Hats Off Entertainment because my friend, who is 1 of 7, recommended them. Her family has used this DJ company for all of their weddings, and it was the best decision I cou...
ld have made. Conrad was our DJ, and he was AWESOME!! Our dance floor was packed the entire night and all of our guests raved about the reception. Also, the owner is great, and sets everything up perfectly!!! LOVE this company!
I'm giving 3 stars rather than 2 because I can admit we had an older and perhaps difficult crowd to work with at our wedding. Overall the music was not what we hoped for, but perha...
ps the fault was with our crowd and not entirely the DJ. I'm also giving 3 stars because I sence he may have been trying to please the older guests, but in doing so he sacrificed the reception we wanted. We made a very specific short list of song requests. We even gave suggestions on which ones to play at dinner as to leave room for more options during the dance portion of the night, and our DJ didn't play even half of OUR requests. He also played a song on our do not play list. Overall the music he chose was very out of date, almost nothing from the past 5 or so years. He played A lOT of oldies music, even adding another one on AFTER playing our specific "last song". Our wedding reception felt dated and out of touch. Our list of requests wasn't huge, we narrowed it down quite a bit when we sent it again after our meeting before the wedding. You get one night to celebrate your wedding, you get countless chances to be a guest, we just would have liked to have heard more of the songs we requested as well as more recent music. A word of advice, guests aren't going to take the time to review, a bride and groom will.
Our DJ was the BEST!!! Look no further than this company and make sure to ask for Conrad!!! He was AWESOME!!!
This DJ played music that we enjoyed, while keeping everyone out on the dance floor!
Working with Hats Off Entertainment was awesome! Pre-wedding we set up a phone call with them and they helped us work through the flow of the wedding. They were open to all our son...
g requests. On the day of the wedding, they were very flexible in moving a few things around when we needed it. The song selection was perfect! They helped get people on the dance floor and the party going. They helped make it the best day ever!

b MC'ing the evening and was so good about checking in with me as the night progressed to see how it was going or if I needed anything. I had guests say that this was the funnest wedding they had ever been to and neither of them knew a ton of people there - I think Geoff absolutely deserves the credit for that! We were dancing all night long! I would recommend Hats Off to anyone looking to have a wonderful, fool-proof, and FUN evening! Thank you so much, Geoff!
We highly recommend Hats Off Entertainment!! The owner, Geoff, was very easy to work with and extremely helpful in creating a reception timeline when I felt clueless. Our DJ, Dave,...
was fantastic the night of the wedding!! He played he perfect mix of music and kept guests dancing all night long!! He checked on my husband and I throughout the night making sure everything was going well with the music and the reception as a whole! One of the guests requested that he play a song I had on the "do not play" list, and he kept to the list and did not play it! We cannot say enough wonderful things about Hats Off Entertainment!!
Geoff, our wedding DJ did a great job! We had so much fun and out guests are still talking about how great the music was. We had a broad mix of age groups and he did a fabulous job...
playing a variation of music everyone could enjoy. He was detail oriented and extremely professional. He was truly a pleasure to work with and we would highly recommend Hats Off Entertainment to anyone looking for a wedding DJ!
Everything Geoff did to help us get ready for the wedding was awesome. He was so responsive to emails and so organized. Jim, our actual DJ, did a great job and kept the dance floor...
pretty packed most of the night. My only wish was that he would've played some of our "must play" songs a little earlier on. This is only bc some of the guests who would've wanted to hear those songs were no longer at the event when they were played. That, though, is something small, and overall I think he did a great job. I would highly recommend this vendor!
There's not much else to say but Hats Off did an awesome job DJing our wedding. Zero stress working with them ... they walk you through the planning process and handle everything! ...
It was hard for us to come up with songs that we wanted to play throughout the night, so we gave them some artist names and they took it from there and our DJ was a lot of fun at the wedding. Very happy with the experience and would suggest them for anyone! :)
Jim did an awesome job!! Every one had a great time and he kept people on the dance floor! He definitely helped make our day even more special! Geoff was super helpful in planning ...

ns/things that we were unsure of for our reception, and he helped us figure out all of the answers. Our DJ for the wedding was Jim, and he couldn't have done a more fantastic job. He kept the whole night flowing perfectly, and played the perfect mix of music. I would 100% recommend Hats off! The DJ plays a HUGE role in your reception, and Hats Off does a perfect job!

n by playing old classics and when we told him we wanted something a little more modern and up beat he want to "Get low" i wasn't too happy about my grandma hearing the lyrics "sweat drop down my balls"..
Geoff did a great job at our wedding in June! He kept the party going all night and played all the songs we asked him to! I highly recommend Hats Off for your wedding DJ :)
I would recommend to anyone.
I thought they did an excellent job overall of deejaying our wedding. They listened to us, and it was a nice mix of music.
Me and my husband LOVED planning our reception with Geoff Cox, owner. Actually, it was the most reassuring thing and set my mind at ease about the whole day. He played songs for us...
and we made decisions about what order things would be in with his advice. He even took the time to phonetically spell out each of our bridal party member's names so the DJ could say them correctly.
As soon as the bridal party got to the reception he immediately met us upstairs and introduced himself and laid out the game plan - YAY, the bride & groom got to enjoy themselves because someone else was in charge.
Throughout the night he played music to make people dance and we even had an impromptu sing-off of Summer Nights with most of our guests! We originally weren't going to put the garter back on the woman who caught the bouquet but when we realized it was my G-ma and my Brother-in-law (the funniest AND most go-with-the-flow people I know) we ran to him and said we wanted to do it. He quickly picked a song and instructed my grandmother to sit down. EVERYONE LOVED IT! I believe the reception even went a little longer because everyone was having a great time. Overall, such a great experience and a decent price comparatively speaking.
My only complaint would have to be that my DJ played "Sweet Caroline" during dinner... We have some rowdy friends so it kind of interrupted the seriousness of the dinner part of the night.
My favorite part of booking with them was a CD that had recorded versions of the speeches that happened at my wedding. I got to relive their wonderful words a week after my honeymoon without being overwhelmed by the chaos of the wedding and immediate loved every minute of their speeches all over again. I am VERY grateful for this added touch.
I would TOTALLY recommend Hats Off! They kept my party going all night!! The dance floor never had less than 30 people on it, even now people are still asking me for their name. ...
It was MUCH better than I ever anticipated!! Very easy to work with too!

r and stuck to our do not play list. I do have 2.5 complaints. One – he played the wrong ceremony music so I walked down the aisle to a random nontraditional song when I had selected Cannon in D. He had the information for the next day’s wedding ceremony out in front of him instead of our information. He did however offer us a refund right away and we received a check in the mail the next week. So I do thank him for that. My half a complaint is that when we discussed doing an anniversary dance I mentioned my grandparents have been married for 65 years. I emailed him a week before to say that I now didn’t want him to recognize my grandparents at the end of the dance since my grandpa wasn’t going to be able to attend due to health issues. He did make the announcement. I went back and reread my email and I guess I could have been clearer in my instructions so that’s why it’s only half a complaint. My last complaint won’t be pertinent to everyone. We were married at Springlake Party Center and Hat’s Off is the DJ service they recommend, so they do many weddings at that venue. The place has great lighting behind and in front of the head table which photographs very well. He gathered up the bridal party before our first dance because they were going to come out on the dance floor about 2/3 of the way through our song. He had them line up in front of the head table – covering all the lighting. So in all of our pictures of our first dance there’s a line of people behind us instead of the great lights. That was extremely disappointing. I’ve seen pictures of other weddings at this venue and those were my favorite pictures. I guess I’m thinking that he should’ve realized that people shouldn’t line up in front of the lights but instead have them off to the side. I wish I would’ve thought about it because we now missed out on potentially great pictures, but you have so many things going on at your reception you just don’t think of everything.
Donny did a wonderful job--kept everyone having a good time all night! Very professional and fun!

elt at ease and confident in his ability to pull off a great evening. He was very helpful and patient as we chose our songs and took us through the plan for the entire evening at our meeting the month before the wedding. He kept everyone involved during the reception and tailored the music to what the crowd seemed to respond to. I would recommend him without reservation.
We meet with Geoff, last summer for our wedding that was this February. We had made a special trip home to meet with wedding vendors, and were meeting with 2 other Djs that weekend ...
with the plan to pick our guy at the end. Our first meeting was with Geoff the owner of Hats off Entertainment, my husband liked him so much that when we walked out the first thing he said to me was "do we have to meet the others". Before the wedding Geoff was really great about walking through picking songs and setting up our timeline. The night of the wedding he kept everything running, and did everything and more we had asked of him. The week after our wedding, we got a wonderful gift in the mail. Without us knowing it Geoff had recorded different parts of the wedding including our first song, our bridal dance, and the speeches given and gave it to us as a gift. He was very easy to work with, and you could tell he just wanted to make your wedding your perfect day...and he did! I would not only use him again, but have already started telling my friends 2!
Hats Off was the best. Played everything we asked for and kept the party going!

he reception and never skipped a beat! Geoff was also fantastic to work with before the wedding. We lived out of town and he made it east to meet up when we did come to town or even take care of details via phone or e-mail when we couldn't. Thanks guys!

We heard nothing but good things about this DJ company, so we decided to go with them. We absolutely loved our personal DJ (the DJ who actually worked at our wedding) but we weren...
't impressed with the overall system.
We supplied the DJ with a list of must play songs for our wedding. About halfway through our reception we started to get upset because we weren't hearing any of our songs! We mentioned this to the DJ several times and he said he was trying his best to stick to the list he had from his boss. We find out, with 1.5hours left of our reception, that his boss had given him the wrong list! Ahhh nightmare!!! Luckily, thanks to our best man, we were able to e-mail our personal DJ the list we originally sent to his boss.
A couple days after our reception we brought this issue up with our DJ's boss. He responded by putting the blame on us for him not being able to open the attachment. Keep in mind we weren't told he couldn't open it until this moment (oh and how did our personal DJ even have a list then!?). It was like pulling teeth to get them to compensate us not even a fourth of what we paid. Be very careful if you decide to book with this DJ.
They did a great job with our invitations and our DJ for the reception was awesome! He really followed our play/do not play lists, plus responded to the crowd and kept the dance fl...
oor packed all night! Great, professional service that I would highly suggest!
So fun and energetic! I love how they planned out the entire recception and made it so easy for everyone to enjoy their time! LOVED them!

he dance floor the entire night! It was a great mix of old and new music! We LOVED working with him! Best part...he sent us a CD with all of our speeches recorded from the reception!
We met with Geoff Cox 2 times before our wedding. He has everything down to a science and everything is planned down to the minute. We had Don as our DJ and he did a wonderful job....
He was very nice and everything went smoothly. I highly recommend them...you won't be disappointed!!
All I can say is Outstanding!!!!! This is the DJ company to work with. Mr. Cox listened to everything we wanted and it occurred on our night. He does have a team that works for him...
, so you don't necessarily get him as a DJ. However, he has trained his team well. We loved this company. I can see why they get the Fox 8 Hot List each year.
Geoff definitely has a great business going for himself. His DJ talent is amazing - super friendly, outgoing, and personable! Our entire bridal party was late and he got us back on...
track so quickly that we were still able to fit everything that we had planned into our reception! GREAT WORK GEOFF!!!
We loved having Geoff as our DJ. Even while he was training a new DJ at our event, he was very attentive to us and our guests. We have gotten many compliments on his work.
Hats Off did an amazing job at our wedding. Everyone was up and dancing the whole night!!
They were great on so many levels!! Our DJ, Jim, was fantastic and organized everyone so well at the reception. Our wedding party was in the right place at the right time. He had f...
un while he kept us in line. He played great music and knew what songs to play when; and when to speed things up after the older people went home. Geoff was great to work with and really helped us to organize the flow of the reception. He knew what questions to ask and gave us advice on how to handle certain situations. They were amazing and I loved working with them. I would definitely use them again and definitely recommend them.
We were so happy with Geoff it's not even funny! Even our guests were impressed with how he had the flow of the reception go and how he got everyone involved.

e was easy to work with, prompt with phone calls and emails, and just fun to be around. He had so many great suggestions with songs and how the reception should be ran. We followed his ideas and it was great. He also was so flexible with incorporating our ideas (greek dancing, special music). We were also blown away at the set up with all the lights and effects. He would check on us, make sure we were happy with the way things were going, even bring us drinks! And when my dress go caught on an LED light that was uplighting our head table backdrop and messed up the colors... he was even able to fix that :)
Highly suggest Geoff and Hats Off!
