About this vendor
Hi! I'm Mercy! I'm a Los Angeles wedding photographer and I own Hasselblad Studios. I love weddings. I love helping a couple go through one of the biggest days of their lives. I love getting to know you as a couple, helping you relax, and giving you moments to save for each other. I believe everyone should have at least a few good photos from their wedding day. As a young couple, my husband and I weren't able to afford a really good photographer, and I don't want that to happen to others. So even if I'm out of your budget, contact me! Let me know what's going on! I have several budget-friendly options!

Living in LA it's really hard to find affordable photographers that was within our budget and whose portfolios we liked. Since our first consultation call with Mercy made us feel i...
mmediately at ease. She worked with our budget and created a customized package that fit our needs for our engagement photoshoot and wedding day. We met her for the first time in person at our engagement photoshoot. As soon as we finished our shoot and saw our photos we knew we that the right decision. We reunited with Mercy on our wedding day and she did an amazing job. She had a great calming energy which helped with an emotion filled day. All our guests liked her too! Within a few days after our wedding we received our wedding photos. Thank you Mercy!
CANNOT RECOMMEND ENOUGH. Mercy was a godsend, and I donât know if I appreciated her more for her photos themselves (which are STUNNING) or for the easy experience of working with M...
ercy.
I spent HOURS hunting for photographers, reading their complicated bios, and filling out their ridiculous questionnaires just to get a (ridiculously overpriced) quote, before FINALLY stumbling across Mercy. The moment I found her website with her sweet blurb about wishing she and her husband had skipped all the wedding stress and just eloped on a mountain with their friends, I knew I was in the right place. Her website had a simple contact form rather than a 20 question survey and she provided her incredibly AFFORDABLE prices upfront. (Honestly, she could charge double what she does.)
Her photos of our elopement in Big Sur soared above our expectations and captured us perfectly without making us feel awkward of cheesy. She was our officiant, photographer, and essentially my maid of honor when I had a wardrobe malfunction. My husband and Iâs wedding day was so lovely and stress-free because of Mercy, who drove over 12 hours to shoot our elopement with only a-week-and-a-half notice. She also brought two cameras, including a Hasselblad (film) camera that took the sweetest, vintage-looking photos of us. Our photos have surpassed our expectations and we are so blessed by the sweet small moments and little details she picked up.
In the future, if/when we need a photographer again, Mercy will be our first call.
We could not have lucked out more finding Mercy to photograph our wedding! Her eye is incredible and sorting through our proofs it's incredible how many countless photos she was ab...
le to capture from our night. When showing our photos to friends and family they truly do not believe that 1 photographer was able to capture so much from so many angles!
Not to mention her prices are incredible and SO fair! Worth every penny and more!
Thank you so much Mercy for capturing our day for us to look back on forever!
Mercy is amazing!!!
My husband and I cannot rave about her enough. She went above and beyond to make the wedding shoot in Yosemite less stressful while looking for places to shoot...
on the fly. She helped manage our big group while also taking tons of couple shots in beautiful lighting.
Love working with her and would 100000% do it again!
It was important to us that our vendors were people that we'd actually enjoy having around on our wedding day, and we had so much fun working with Mercy! She made us feel so comfor...
table and we trusted her vision. And the results were stunning! The day of the wedding she was also quick to help out wherever she could, and we were thankful to have here there along for the ride! We cannot recommend Mercy highly enough!
Mercy and her husband Matt are simply top notch. They captured our engagement photos as well as pictures and video for our wedding. From day 1 they have been so wonderful to work w...
ith! Responsive, kind, and fun! Taking pictures is not my husband's favorite activity, but even he didn't mind. Mercy works so hard to get pictures to you as quickly as she can. My terrible internet made it really hard to view the high resolution photos on her site, so she was kind enough to lower the resolution so I could actually go through them more quickly. Mercy and Matt feel like your friends, not just your vendors. They are a dream to work with and their work is stunning. We have gotten so many compliments! You should hire them, you will not be disappointed!
If I could rate Hasselblad Studios more than 5 stars, I would... Mercy captured our wedding perfectly. She was a joy while she was there, and the photos are incredible. I'd conside...
r myself shy, and my husband is camera shy as well, and none of that shows in the photos. She let our love for each other overpower our own self consciousness and shyness. We ooh'd and aww'd as we saw the photos, and they will make me cry for years to come. She is so thoughtful on capturing moments I would have never thought to ask for, such as the moment my husband saw me walk down the aisle, and photos of just my parents- my favorite photo of them I have ever seen. She truly captured the essence of the day. And all of this for the "budget wedding" option! She also was so kind and was able to process the photos within just a couple of days, even though the package did not include this. She really went above and beyond and she went far beyond our expectations! Definitely recommend!!
I cannot say enough great things about Mercy. I liked Mercy's personality from the first email, but I could not have imagined what a perfect photographer she would be for my big d...
ay. She was efficient while remaining flexible. I hate group photos, but Mercy made them easy while still getting perfect shots of everyone! I didn't notice she was there most of the time. For my engagement shoot, my then fiance (now husband) was asked to make me laugh so we could get "candid" shots. Mercy actually caught all the perfect candid moments where he and I were laughing and looking at each-other lovingly. Her pictures captured everyone's personality perfectly. I love love love them.
Mercy and Matt were not only amazing professionals, but lovely and amazing people to make our wedding day special. We were first very impressed with their portfolio and package opt...
ions. Their pricing is SO reasonable. But the very best was how wonderful they were to work with and how beautifully they captured our special day. We took our engagement pictures on the beach and they came out fabulous. We got our pictures back the next dayđ We also received our wedding photos back way before most photographer's turnaround. I was honestly sad when our wedding day was over because we wouldn't get to see them again! lol Thank you so much for being a part of our special day!
Matt, Mercy, and their team were just phenomenal at our wedding held at the Montage Resort in Laguna Beach. We hired them for our video. They worked well with the photographer that...
was another vendor. I didn't even notice they were there and captured everything so well. The video turned out to be amazing! So grateful for them and their dedication to our day. We really liked that they wanted to meet us and get to know us before the wedding day.
Our wedding was on September 26,2020 during the middle of the pandemic. As you may imagine, it was a very stressful time and Mercy was absolutely amazing to work with from start to...
finish. She was very professional and timely, made the effort to get to know my fiance (now husband) and I, and showed she genuinely cared about our wedding. She authentically cares about photography and her passion for capturing moments showed throughout our special day. We also wanted a highlight video so we got the pleasure to work with Matt, her husband, who showed the same professionalism and passion for his work. I highly recommend them if you want a personal , dedidicated touch to your photos! Would definitely book them again if we could do it all over again.
Mercy is such a magical photographer and wonderful human being. Her energy and enthusiasm for you is consistent whether itâs an engagement session running around Los Angeles or the...
end of your 15-hour wedding day. Weâve received our wedding photos and are so happy that we hired Mercy and Hasselblad Studios.
Mercy was easy and comfortable to work with (even with the myriad of ceremonies in my multicultural wedding). She navigated our big day so thoughtfully and professionally. She even brought an umbrella for a few rain photos, made sure I had my jacket when posing for photos in the cold, and rolled with the punches of a chaotic wedding (including intermittent rain, long costume changes, etc). She was also super patient and organized throughout the formal family photos and those requested by my family.
I hired her because her wedding photos were so pure, genuine and honest. Mercy is a thoughtful photographer and likes to do fun, creative poses with light, which end up being breathtaking. I wanted someone who can capture the day just as I remember it (and the things that I didnât realize were happening) - and she definitely accomplished that and so much more. She over-delivers high quality work at an affordable price with different packages that fits your needs. I highly recommend that you hire Mercy for your event.
We worked with Marcy during our intimate wedding last 19 October in Los Angeles California. We easily get along with her coz of her smiling face. She made me and my husband feel at...
ease with her way of photography style. She tries to capture the look/ photo we seen in IG that what we appreciate the most.
she goes beyond her way of photo skills and even walk into the water/small pond bare foot to capture a shot for us. We seen some of the products and it was really a bomb! Good Job Mercy and look forward working with you again soon!

e connected so well! She even jumped in to dance with the little ones at the wedding. I would highly recommend booking with them!
My Husband: Such a nice person that halfway through I wanted her to put down the camera and join the party. She became a guest as well as our photographer by the end of the night.
Professional. Kind. Organized. Thorough.

ut when Mercy responded to my project on Thumbtack and we saw her portfolio, we knew she was the one. Her friendly demeanor, prompt responses to all of my questions, and helpful tips about the area sealed the deal for us.
It was such a pleasure meeting her in person and she was so easy to work with! She made the whole experience completely stress-free so we could focus on enjoying the ceremony and the beauty of the occasion. As for the photos... absolutely breathtaking. We were completely blown away by how she captured us in both candid and posed moments. The way she took the photos and edited them seemed to give everything this warm glow that really reflected the whole feeling of the moment. They are without a doubt photos that we will cherish for the rest of our lives! We would highly recommend Hasselblad Studios to anyone who wants their special day captured by a sweet, professional, and incredibly talented photographer!!

he was in the thick of the action, we didnât feel she stuck out. She moved quietly and allowed the wedding the unfold.
Mercy did our wedding and engagement photos this September. She is a truly awesome, kind person! We loved having her be part of our day. Our photos turned out amazing!
Love, love, love working with Mercy! I also love her heart and her photo policies that are not picky or restricting.
Mercy was an absolute delight to work with and took amazing photos of our special day that we will cherish forever! We didn't meet her till the day of our wedding, but she made us ...
feel so comfortable right away that it felt like we had worked with her before. I even forgot to put on 80% of my makeup (!!!) but Mercy still made me look beautiful. We are so happy with the images we received and are having such a hard time figuring out which ones we want to get printed, because there are so many that we love. I highly recommend Mercy and will keep her on my shortlist for future photos (pregnancy, baby, etc)!

w our engagement photos turned out! She's prompt, friendly, and super talented~ We got our engagement photos so quickly! Pictures came out beautiful. We're very excited to have her capture our wedding day. Highly recommend her for any photography needs!! Thank you Mercy!! :D
When we sat down and decided what our priorities were for our wedding we both decided pictures were important to us. Unfortunately, we couldnât spend our whole wedding budget on a ...
photographer since we wanted to have food and a venue too, so we started what seemed to be the impossible quest of finding a great photographer at an affordable rate. When we stumbled across Mercyâs website, we thought it was too good to be true. Someone who does quality photography at intentionally low prices in order to benefit the married couple, who would have thought that exists? Well it does. Mercy blew us away and even now we still look at each other and wonder out loud about how great she was. She jumped right into the crazy preparations for the ceremony, calmly taking pictures and capturing small, sweet moments. Her eye for light and ability to capture sweet moments with family and friends was incredible. She moved family and formal pictures along quickly while being super kind! She was always there when we needed her to snap a photo but wasnât overbearing at all. I would highly recommend Hasselblad Photography. Mercy was a huge reason why our day was special, and we are so grateful!
We can't speak highly enough about Hasselblad Studios! Mercy is an absolute gem. She is brilliantly talented and skilled at capturing candid moments and posed portraits in camera....
Our photos hardly needed editing at all!
Not only is she good at what she does, her passion for her work shines. She's so fun to work with and many of our guests commented on what a great job she was doing and that she seemed to be really enjoying the job.
We both felt at ease with Mercy from our first meeting, to our engagement shoot, to the wedding day. She understood our unique style and had creative ideas to contribute.
We are so lucky to have had the opportunity to work with such a marvelous human being! We will treasure the photos she created for the rest of our lives. If you have the chance to hire Hasselblad Studios, JUMP ON IT!
Thank you for sharing your talents with us, Mercy.

It is clear from working with Mercy that she has a huge passion for capturing life's special little moments, and has a unique talent for capturing and creating candid shots that make for invaluable memories for her customers.
