Handheld Catering is a full-service wedding and event caterer based in Santa Clara, in the heart of Silicon Valley. We have been cooking for this valley since 2012.
Full service means we can run the whole day, not just the meal. We design the menu with you, cook it, staff it, and coordinate the event from start to finish; we can also handle the decor, flowers, and rentals so you aren't managing separate vendors for each.
We cook farm to fork, and we were one of the first caterers in Silicon Valley to be certified as a green business. Gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, vegan, vegetarian, organic, and sugar-free menus are part of what we do, not a special request.
We offer plated dinners, buffets, chef stations, passed appetizers, and family-style service, with bar service available. Our full-service weddings include servers, china, glassware, tastings, setup, and cleanup. We have catered small private gatherings and events of over a thousand guests.
We serve San Jose, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Campbell, Los Gatos, Mountain View, Palo Alto, Stanford, the Peninsula, and San Francisco.

nd so friendly. They got everything our guests needed and my wife and I never once had to ask for anything....it was ready to go before anyone needed to ask. Before the wedding Brenda and Chef Ryan were very involved. We had a great tasting and they both came all the way to Martinez from Santa Clara to see the property we were getting married at. Brenda was wonderful and made sure to get all of our pricing correct and also negotiated with the rental company to get matched prices. She understood our vision for our reception and our ceremony and helped make sure that all items rented were perfect. Chef Ryan came up a second time to the property with his wife Stacey. Because my mother is an avid gardener and we got married on my family ranch, Chef Ryan and Stacey picked 120+ pounds of fresh produce from my mother's garden so that the vegetables could be incorporated into all of the vegetable dishes. It made the food even more sentimental and tasty. Across the board, the food was amazing and it was clear that Chef Ryan takes a lot of pride in his food. His excitement and love for cooking is clear in how he discusses the menu and dishes. Many of our guests asked where we found Handheld and asked us for contact information for future events. Everyone LOVED the food from beginning to end. We could not have asked for a better experience with Handheld Catering. They truly live up to their name. Thank you Ryan and Brenda!!
