H Photography

hosted our wedding reception, and It was one of the best decisions we made! We reached out to him within weeks of getting engaged, as we loved his style and knew we wanted him to capture our day. He worked well with all of our vendors to make our day perfect all while providing an easy going and calming presence. He was very attentive and accommodating to our needs leading up to the wedding day, especially since our photo shoots included our furry babies. We were fortunate to have an incredible photographer like Doru, capture our day, but as much as we will relish those photos, the effort and thought that Doru put into our wedding video was extraordinary. He got our style, he understood what was important to us and had fun with us through the whole day. We couldn't have asked for a better match for us to shoot our engagement and wedding photos!

way i wanted. I had a specific vision and the type of photos i wanted. I found Doru online and his photos on Instagram matched what I was looking for. After contacting Doru, we spoke on my plan for the engagement and it turned out perfect. I messed up my part of the plan haha but Doru still captured everything. Fast foward to my wedding, there was no question that we wanted Doru to capture our wedding. We were left speechless. Our family loves every single photo. Friends who recently had weddings told us they wished they booked Doru. The only regret my wife and I had during the wedding is that we didn’t get to spend enough time with guests and we missed out on the charcuterie board/dessert tables. Before the guests ate everything , Doru captured everything. There were photos of all our guests, it warmed our hearts. He captured every single moment and now we get to look at even the stuff we missed. That was the vision we had for our wedding photos. We recommend him to everyone. Doru’s prices are reasonable and upfront. Thank you and God bless you!

just right! All images were sent to us promptly, and I really could not be happier! I would recommend him / H Photography to anyone.

could have not asked for better pictures is my day. I love them. Will be using h photography agian in spring for family pictures.

h with H Photography, and it was a huge blessing. I doubt they'd ever be available with such short notice again but how lucky were we? They were so accommodating and patient the entire day, taking so many wonderful pictures. My parents are divorced and I have a big extended family so there were many different combinations of pictures as you can imagine. They took my list and checked off every combination as they took the photos. I was also a little worried because I was more of a plus-size bride and most photographers show examples of skinny brides so I didn't know how I would look in photos. Doru took the most flattering pictures! He knew I liked pictures from a high angle as they are more flattering and he even stood up on chairs without my asking to get great shots. They could not have been nicer throughout the whole day, bonding with the whole family. I couldn't believe how quickly they sent us the pictures after the wedding. I am obsessed with looking at them. They are so gorgeous and it was hard to narrow them down for our album. Doru was so sweet and even dropped off the album in person! You cannot go wrong with this crew.

s artistic touch, he has great professionalism and communication. He managed our rowdy wedding crowd effectively when needed for family photos and was otherwise non-intrusive. Great value. Would recommend to anyone in Chicagoland!

ent. Because of this, we couldn’t wait to see our wedding photos! Through the planning process Doru checked in with us, listened to our vision, helped with the timeline, and made us feel calm and excited for the day. He gave us the best advice: enjoy every moment together and be in love because the camera captures any stress you show. We channeled his advice on the day of- he helped me stay calm with everchanging weather conditions and stressful obstacles. At the end of the day, it turned out perfect and Doru did an amazing job capturing our story. Doru is encouraging, calm, professional, and an overall expert at his craft. He made my husband feel comfortable and excited to take pictures (which is hard to do!) I will never forget his encouraging and motivating words which just added to the overall positive energy of the day. I would recommend him to every single person I know and we can’t wait to use H Photography again for all of our future professional pictures!

They captured so many incredible pictures and the turnaround was so quick (The teaser pictures were delivered within a couple of days after the wedding, and we had all the pictures within 2 weeks!) We also did our engagement pictures with Claudia, and they turned out amazing as well. My husband and I really appreciated all the direction Doru and Claudia gave us when taking the pictures to make sure we got the most natural looking poses. The candid pictures taken during the wedding were perfect as well and really captured all of the emotions of the day. They suggested we do "first look" pictures, and those turned out to be our favorites because they were so beautiful and intimate! I highly recommend H Photography to anyone looking for the best photographers around. They came highly recommended to us, and we are so happy we chose them!

de great suggestions whenever the bride and groom were indecisive or didn’t have a preference on something. Throughout the day, they took control to make sure everything went smoothly and was on time. During the reception, there were certain traditions and moments that we wanted captured - they went above and beyond and captured so much more than that. H Photography was so generous and even stayed an extra hour longer to capture more special moments that evening on our wedding day. Throughout the wedding process, H Photography always responded promptly to my questions and kept in communication to make sure we updated any changes and were on the same page. The sneak peek pictures were published a week after our wedding and the compliments came pouring in regarding their quality. Many people even expressed that they had wished H Photography was their wedding photographer. I think that’s a strong compliment and says a lot about their work. Thank you again, H Photography!

e a customized photography experience. Fair prices for elite services. Highly recommend the photo booth, our guest loved it!

like we missed out on that because Doru captured everything we need to relive that day. Another plus is that he got our beautiful pictures back to us in less than four weeks (and there were so many)! You will not go wrong with him and his business!

which caught not only the beauty of the wedding venue but they captured stunning candid moments beyond my wildest dream. I am so grateful to have had Doru & Claudia as a part of our big day. I recommend them without hesitation.

' and more candid views which was what we were really looking for. Doru was super easy to work with and response throughout the process. Would highly recommend!

t beautiful! We will absolutely be using him again. Highly Recommend!!

l is overlooked! He is a very talented and kind professional and his attention to detail ensures amazing results. Our photos are amazing! We are so happy with them and will cherish them for a lifetime!

o great to work with and captured some AMAZING shots! Even though we had a few hiccups (so much rain), she made sure that we got the most amazing pictures! My husband and I could not be more thankful that we hired H Photography and Claudia to capture the best day of our life!

nt, professional, and engaging with my fiance and I, as well as all the guests. We got all the shots that we wanted, and Doru gave us many ideas for portraits and candid shots in different settings. He was not pushy at all and always had a smile ... the service and attitude were great the whole day. We definitely recommend Doru + H Photography!!

a respectful photographer and hard worker he was, running around in the summer heat to get the perfect shots! We have already recommended him and H Photography to others!

king camera ready.

list of places we wanted to be photographed in and Doru not only created the perfect itinerary, he arrived early and scouted the locations prior to meeting us on our wedding day. Doru was great at spotting the best angles and providing guidance and direction at every location. We had a great time and felt comfortable throughout the session. Our photos are stunning! We’ve gotten tons of compliments. If we had to do it all over again, we’d hire Doru in a heartbeat.

s well as capture all of the shots I had envisioned. My entire family only had great things to say about him and our photos turned out AMAZING! His turn around time to get our proofs out was super timely and he is very responsive via phone and email. I absolutely recommend and hope to use them again in the future! *Oh, and my dog loved him, which made for adorable dog shots!!

I would highly recommend using them for your wedding.

ly recommend to anyone!

our friends and family who couldn't be there. We are so glad we chose H Photography for our wedding. Even though we only gave them short notice, Doru and Claudia were able to accommodate our plans. They were very professional, and we are very happy with the photos they delivered! They know which locations in Chicago would be best for photo sessions, and they helped suggest locations for us to visit based on our schedule for the day. None of us had ever hired a professional photographer before, and I certainly have no idea how to pose without looking awkward. However, Doru and Claudia helped pose us and our family, and the pictures turned out great!

hotographer. He had work with him before in weddings where he was a best man so he knew that not only would the quality of the pictures be amazing, but that Doru could wrangle a group together. He was able to give clear instruction on poses that other photographers we've worked with had over looked (for example, guys put your hands in your pockets not just dangling by your sides!). We did our engagement photos and I understood exactly what he meant. Like most couples, we aren't often the center of attention for an entire hour of staged and candid photos- but Doru made us feel comfortable and helped us embrace the awkwardness which lead to photos that really show the love and happiness we felt. When COVID-19 happened and everything was closing and being postponed- we agreed: we're keeping Doru and The H Photography contract. We were lucky enough to be able to have our wedding, and Doru was there. Every single person who came to celebrate with us, has shared how much THEY enjoyed Doru. He has a way of being professional and capturing all the sweet, candid moments that sometimes get lost throughout the day, while still embracing all the unexpected crazy moments along the way. He is kind, on time, directive, and great at what he does. I promise, if you put your trust in Doru and his company- you will not be disappointed.

w minutes to know that he was who I wanted to photograph my wedding. He and his wife and worked in different areas of photography (news/reporting, weddings, etc) and what I loved about his pictures is that they tell a story about the day. Although he does them, his main focus is not the artsy photos of the rings and dress- it's more about capturing the emotions of everyone throughout the day. Doru and Claudia were very easy to work with and I had so many guests compliment him for his hard work all throughout the day- He never stopped moving to try and get the perfect shot! You won't be disappointed if you choose them!

our engagement session, he had a vision for photos and capture the love between my husband and I. He agreed to incorporate our dog in the photos, the dog wasn't really cooperative, but Doru still captured amazing photos with him and we couldn't be happier that he did that. Our wedding was in January, out of all the beautiful weekend before the big day the weather was amazing, unfortunately on the day of our wedding it was brutal winter Saturday night. We had a vision to do photos with string light at night outside. Even though the temperature outside was brutal and it was super windy, Doru still made my vision of string lights happen. We went outside and he took beautiful pictures. When he posted few sneak peek photos on his website and Facebook, my husband and I, we got so many complements on those photos. Everyone was saying how creative he was and they absolutely loved the photos outside as well as on the inside. Doru captures every detailed of our wedding, starting with the dress and the rings, to the cake and flowers. All of our guests were amazed how he captures pictures of them and that he was willing to take photos of them throughout the night as well as taking pictures of us at the same time. Doru listened to all of our ideas and made them happen, he was really responsive to all the emails and it was such a pleasant experience to work with him. We will be definitely booking other photo shoots with Doru and H Photography for different occasions. After working with them I couldn't picture my photos being taken by someone else. Absolutely LOVED working with them and I am looking to working with Doru in the future.

ure the beauty of our venue and the magic of the day despite the rain and cold. I appreciate his thoughtfulness in trying to make sure we got all of the pictures we wanted, taking special care to make sure everyone looked their best in each pose, and helping us all have fun during the process. I cannot say enough wonderful things on how happy I am with the picture we will treasure for a lifetime.

mazing shots. He was also very fun to work with. During both our engagement session and wedding photos he got us so excited with energy for each other. We had so much fun taking photos, he really brought out the love in us. My face hurt from smiling at both occasions. We couldn't be happier with the service we received.

to renew our vows, and the photographer was first on our priority list. The moment we met Doru, we knew we found the photographer for us. Luckily for us he agreed to come with us to Cabo and photograph our vow renewal. Doru was easy to work with, his attention to detail and his creative eye was more then we could ask for. Cabo is a beautiful place and Doru captured every once of it's beauty in his photographs. So glad he was there for our special day.

heir expertise. Everything about the entire experience was fantastic. They were extremely responsive, professional, and a joy to work with. They are photographers who care and want to make sure you have the best day. Doru does a great job at calming down a nervous bride! H Photography captured my sister's wedding and I was so excited to have them capture ours. I recommend H Photography to anyone getting married, needing professional pictures, etc. Can't thank them enough!

We chose the package with two photographers, and it made everything so easy and got the most AMAZING shots. We got married in a Catholic church and they can be strict about photographers. I can say that I do not even remember seeing the photographers visible during mass, and the pictures they got are unbelievable. H Photography is husband and wife owned and they are the perfect mix - they could not have been nicer to our bridal party. Our ring bearer had special needs and they were so kind to him, and our young flower girl. They truly captured special moments that show who we really are. It was the perfect balance of traditional, necessary pictures and creative, interesting shots. Multiple people at our reception came up to us saying how great there were and that they could not wait to see the pictures. So glad we made the choice to go with them and cannot wait to use them repeatedly for other special life events.

etting ready, my mom helping me get dressed, and even staged our rings and family heirlooms for beautiful shots beforehand. He embraced our outdoor ceremony by getting great angles and shots during the ceremony, and then by finding interesting places for us to get some more photos of just the two of us. We are more than pleased with the results! He made me feel like a princess throughout the day, and the photos reflect that! My best friend recommended him and his business to me, and allow me to recommend him to all of you!

ed for our wedding and gave some honest and positive encouragement that we had made the right choice. When it became close to our wedding day, rain was in the forecast and up until the morning of, Claudia was messaging me ready to change our timeline, if I chose, to avoid the rain. We ended up keeping the same timeline and both photographers (Claudia included) showed up early. We took a TON of pictures. Even when we were about to call it and be done with photos before the ceremony, she would see another good photo op and she shot away. Those are now some of my favorite photos in the album. Claudia and her team captured everything so perfectly and was such a pleasure to work with. She made our wedding day so much easier and stress free. We received our teaser of photos shortly after the wedding and all of the photos in a couple of weeks! I was shocked! The photos look amazing and the only problem is, we have way too many to choose from. The lighting and the color in all the photos are just what we pictured. We would highly recommend H Photography to anyone looking for a photographer.

er dog who we so wanted to include. The images from our engagement shoot were stunning even on a cool overcast and cloudy day. We loved them and had fun taking them! On our wedding day, Doru & Claudia worked flawlessly with each other and came up with some awesome, unique, and fun ideas for our photos. We got to see our “preview” of our wedding photos and we are in love with how perfect they are, they make our hearts smile because Doru & Claudia were able to capture the emotions of the moment. We cannot wait to see the rest and look forward to working with them in the future!

what he was doing & when he needed to do it. With almost no direction from us, Doru took charge and started from the very beginning to capture all of our special moments that made a difference in all our memories for years to come. I’m elated that we hired you and will always recommend you. I love all of the photos that you took. Thank You Doru for a job well done.

to work with from the first meeting all the way through the wedding. He is very accommodating and makes sure to capture all of those amazing moments and beyond. Our engagement photos were amazing and we have seen a sample of our wedding ones, which we are already in love with! We can't wait to see all of the rest! I would highly recommend Doru and H photography for weddings or any special events!

ith, from our first consultation appt, all the way through the wedding. He had a wonderful personality with the crowd, was very professional, and was constantly asking me for any other photos that I would like taken, as he didn’t want us to miss anything from this special day. His creativity with scenes that he created was absolutely beautiful. Definitely not your typical wedding photographer. We saw his previous work and were sold on him then...but after working with him ourselves, and seeing the gorgeous engagement photos he did, we know we made the best and only choice. We can’t wait to see the memories he captured for us. I would highly recommend Doru as he is the best of the best!!

ctures! Doru takes phenomenal pictures and will make you feel comfortable in front of the camera. He pays attention to detail and captures every special moment! The photos are crisp and very clear. He responds in a timely manner to any questions or requests you may have! We will definitely be using H Photography again in the future for photo sessions! We appreciate his talent and hard work!

ey captured without our daughter knowing what was about to take place! The photographs in downtown Chicago of this special moment are priceless! Next was their engagement session and this is where they became so natural for expressing their love for one another. It definitely shows in the photographs that they captured along with the environment. We truly love their art form, they pay attention to all details. Of course our most treasured moments of their wedding! From getting ready, to pre ceremony, ceremonial moments, out door pictures and of the reception we are in awe. They were so attentive to details, making sure to get all our group photos of families and the candid pictures that bring the wedding day so alive through the photographs. We highly recommend H Photography; their expertise is incredible!

tful questions to make sure he didn't miss any photo opportunities. The photos are magnificent as as well as the album. I hope we have the opportunity to work with him again.

ur engagement and wedding. They were with us from day one and we can't imagine not having them capture all the next life moments we have in the coming years. The duo team are incredible to work with, very accommodating, exceptional work, great attention to detail, and patient and understanding. Our photos are incredible and they truly captured every moment of our journey. I highly recommend H Photography for your engagement, wedding and any other life event or special moment you want to cherish forever.
