d setting up the arch at our hotel. He was kind and professional! Our arch looked like real flowers, it was stunning! We received so many compliments following our ceremony. Thank you again!!!

ested this company for silk flowers and I’m so glad we found her. We rented her garden arch and it was beautiful. It looked like realistic white roses and greenery, our guests couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful it was. Thank you!

ney!!!!

minute changes and Brittney was more than accommodating!

ay in the days leading up to the wedding. She is professional, flexible with your schedule, organized, knowledgeable, and has a very calming personality...all of the exceptional traits you want in a wedding planner. I cannot rave enough regarding how beautifully executed my wedding day was...if anything went wrong, I still have no idea, because Brittney took full control and made sure every last detail was absolutely perfect. Her floral wall was also a breathtaking addition to our sweetheart table. If you are considering hiring Brittney, do it, I promise you will not be disappointed!

y reception. The flower wall really elevated our space!

her for your wedding day! She’ll make sure everything is taken care.

e wedding, we felt so grateful to have her, as she handled everything with grace and helped to make our day perfect! I can't recommend her more.

a huge wedding with lots of vendors and moving pieces and she absolutely crushed it! We're so thankful for her and would HIGHLY recommend to anyone getting married. The open lines of communication and professionalism are so appreciated. She was flawless in managing our day and we'll miss chatting with her.

edge she offers and have zero regrets – it was the perfect touch and helped make our wedding that much more magical! Brittney also recommended an Etsy shop for our awesome neon sign which was placed on our wall by the team. My husband and I can’t thank the GLEP team enough and Brittney for making the entire process smooth and stress-free!

r usual monthly check in meetings, she was always available by text or email for anything I needed. I leaned on Brittney for everything - big concerns about the day of, and little concerns as small as where should I put my card box. She stood by my side through everything and I was SO much less stressed and was really put at ease having Brittney by my side. We had our wedding reception in a bank so we had to bring in everything from coat racks to tables and chairs to napkins. As you can imagine there were a LOT of people to hire, coordinate with, and plan for. Leading up to the wedding, Brittney made sure I was on track and not missing anything with my planning. She also created our entire wedding day timeline for us. Closer to the wedding, she confirmed all of my contracts for me and became the point person of contact. We held a special cultural ceremony during our reception and she even coordinated meeting up with our parents to pick up supplies and brought them with her the day of. The day of the wedding Brittney did SO MUCH! She made sure we stayed on track to our timeline, that all of the vendors were coordinated getting in/out of the bank in their certain timeslot, and that things ran smoothly. If something did go wrong on my wedding day, I don't even know about it because Brittney must have handled it! She was there with me from the beginning of the day to the end of the night. She truly became my friend during the wedding planning process and made it such an easy, stress free, fun time!! She even does these beautiful flower walls that I cannot wait to have for my next event. I CANNOT RECOMMEND BRITTNEY ENOUGH! HIRE HER IF YOU WANT A BEAUTIFULLY PLANNED WEDDING AND A FUN STRESS FREE WEDDING DAY!

nd just to chat about the wedding and she was immediately responsive, always cheerful, and gave the best most knowledgable advice! She was seriously my saving grace for the entire year leading up to my wedding day and then on the day itself! She thought of every detail, like sending me a sneak peak of the venue, set up our neon sign, our guest book and memory tables, and kept everything under control so that I could focus on just having the time of my life! I seriously contribute the entire day to her expertise and question why she is so dang affordable! Having her as my coordinator was worth millions!!!

estions or issues that I had. Brittney helped me find and manage every vendor that I had! I couldn’t recommend her enough! My wedding was amazing and went incredibly smoothly! If there was any issues that came up I certainly didn’t know about it! I tell everyone I know getting married about her!

nal and I highly recommend her to plan any special event!

we hoped it would be, and better. Brittney worked her magic and even could figure out my post it note/type-A system for everything! :) Brittney is thoughtful, knowledgeable, and skilled. We knew when we saw her at work at a venue we toured that she was exactly who we wanted to help us plan for our big day. The little touches, texts, and reminders made me the world's calmest bride - seriously, everyone noticed! We had quite the vision for our big day and Brittney made sure we got exactly what we wanted. We felt comfortable, reassured, and calm - Brittney is incredible and made our dream come true.

d exciting. She’s easy to work with, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. When it came to wedding day, I was blown away. It was everything I dreamed of and more thanks to Brittney. She went above and beyond to make everything come together. It was honestly the best day of my entire life and it wouldn’t have been what it was without Great Lakes Event Planning. Thank you times a million for everything!

emic is even harder, but Brittney not only stuck with us for an additional year after postponing but she became our friend! The amount of time and attention to detail she gave us was more than we could of asked for! She was our day of coordinator but she really truly is way more than that. She is with you every step of the way, helping with vendors, day of timelines, keeping the bridal party focused and on time, she will keep you calm during multiple meltdowns during the process, giving you behind the scenes photos the day of to keep your nerves at ease seeing what your wedding looks like before you even get to see it, and she will bring whatever your vision is to life! Brittney is not only very talented but her personality will put you at ease and make the process fun when it can be stressful and her work really shows that her heart is truly in it! We recommend Great Lakes Event Planning to everyone that is getting married or anyone that knows someone that is getting married! She is worth every penny and we look forward to having her plan future events for us!

ded me of things that had not thought of in such a busy time. When my wedding was around the corner, Brittney kept my vendors informed, and she gave me confidence that things would work out. She was INCREDIBLE on my wedding day, and she ensured that nothing went wrong. Hiring her was the smartest part of wedding planning, as she controlled what I couldn’t. On top of everything else, she was flexible with our timeline/date change.

HER! Brittney and I connected immediately and I was at peace that I felt I was in good hands…and then COVID happened, and those “good hands” became totally invaluable. The uncertainty leading up to our September 2020 ceremony was immense, and we had to pull together an entirely different game plan in less than a month. My husband and I had the ceremony of our dreams (just with far less guests!) and even an intimate lawn “afterglow”that was way more elegant than I ever expected to have during COVID times; It never would have been pulled off in that short amount of time without Brittney’s organization, coordination, and execution. Instead of casting us aside after that crazy experience, Brittney leaned into the relationship we had built and loyally stuck by our side for our October 2021 reception. I am still on cloud nine thinking about the fact that we got to have a second perfect night with our family and friends that we had missed out on the year before. Like our ceremony, Brittney made sure every detail of our reception was perfect, she kept the timeline flowing so I didn’t have anything to worry about except enjoying, and she provided much needed support through it all. She truly became an extension of my own hands and brain and she earned my trust tenfold. The morning after our reception, my mom - who initially did not understand my insistence that hiring a coordinator was necessary for my sanity as a bride - said to me, “That Brittney really was incredible and she worked her butt off! She is worth her weight in gold!” Listen to mom, folks, cause her praise doesn’t come easy. I am so thankful I trusted my gut and hired Great Lakes Event Planning. I got two beautiful events and a genuine friend out of the deal - who could ask for more?! If you’re a bride in Metro Detroit, Brittney is 100% worth the investment!

Brittney in March 2019, and we were with her until October 2021, so I can say that I am fully aware of what Brittney can do. I am a very type A human and was having a DIY wedding, and I needed someone to do exactly what I would do if I weren’t busy being the bride. She was that and a million more things. Throughout the up and downs, Brittney was so organized, proactive, and just a joy to work with (my MIL even wants to adopt her ;)) We were a true COVID wedding and were originally married during lockdown. Brittney was there with us every step of the way. She wasn’t just a vendor - she was our friend. She gave advice on communicating with vendors when we weren’t having much luck, reassured us when it felt like nothing was going our way, and in the end, helped us have the best day we could ever imagine. We ended up having a very medium reception in our new backyard, and Brittney handled EVERYTHING. If anything went wrong on the day, I have no clue what they were, and I will probably never know. Multiple times I caught her cleaning my kitchen and loving on our pup. She went so far and above what I ever expected. We never could have dreamed after all of the disappointments, planning/unplanning/replanning, and general stress of having a wedding at our own house, that our day could’ve turned out as magical as it did. And that was all thanks to Brittney. Fun fact - my husband did not want us to spend the extra money on a day-of coordinator, and now he is a walking advertisement for Great Lakes Event Planning. We love Brittney and couldn’t recommend her enough to anyone trying to have the most friendly, organized, and wonderful day-of coordinator. Hire her!!!

nd I met via FaceTime (Covid) several times during the planning process and she is the number one reason I didn’t lose my mind wedding planning during a pandemic. Brittney is extremely knowledgeable about the world of weddings/events and has lots of great relationships within. She was even able to make some excellent vendor recommendations for us. During Brittney and I’s meetings for planning, Brittney was able to provide me excellent guidance in our day of timeline, logistics and floor plan. She welcomed any question or concern that I had at literally any time or day, which eased my anxieties greatly. Come the day of, Brittney was able to oversee the entire event, directing every moving part gracefully and without flaw. She was our single point of contact and ensured that all of our vendors knew where to go, what to do and when to do it. Brittney went the extra mile to make sure that we were able to enjoy our day stress-free with loved ones, and sent us progress updates and photos to ease our nerves. She even showed up early to ensure that our vendors greeted and paid. Honestly, I cannot say enough great things about this woman and her business, she was able to make our wedding the best day ever. And I even got to make an instant friend in the process 🤍

icative. Event planning is not my cup of tea, but Brittney made me feel relaxed and confident that the day would run smoothly, and offered her helpful opinions whenever I was indecisive and needed input. On the day of the wedding, Brittney was an absolute rockstar. We had a power outage at the reception, tornado warnings and delayed shuttles, but Brittney was calm and collected and just handled everything like a pro. Brittney did a TON of work on the day, all while having the best attitude and making the wedding party feel relaxed, special and happy. I loved having Brittney by my side on my big day, and all of my wedding party was impressed by her as well. Aside from her planning skills, Brittney is a genuinely kind, funny and positive person. I don’t miss planning a wedding during a pandemic, but I do miss my check-ins with Brittney! I can’t say enough about how great my experience was, and highly recommend Brittney to anyone in need of an event planner.

incredibly helpful. Day of wedding was not any less challenging with a power outage, tornado warning, shuttle issues and fire alarms. Through it all, she was the picture of calm and kept everything together and on schedule. We had an incredible event and every detail came together. Without our knowledge, she worked behind the scenes to keep everything on track. Professionally she was the best and personally she is lovely and friendly. She became part of the wedding party! I recommend her without hesitation. Thank you Brittney for everything.

anning and cancelling and planning again due to COVID. Brittney was always willing to answer questions I had about the planning process along the way. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, she scheduled several calls with me to make sure we were both on the same page with the details. Brittney took over communication with the rest of my vendors the week of, leaving me to focus on just getting myself and my groom ready. She communicated a timeline to everyone and made adjustments where needed if any vendors had questions or concerns. On the day of, Brittney was there to set up the ballroom and make sure everything went to plan. She helped us troubleshoot big and small issues that arose, often without me even finding out. I was actually able to relax and enjoy the moment because I was confident that Brittney had everything handled. Having this personalized level of support was priceless. Could not recommend her more!

with any and everything we needed to execute a backyard wedding. Simply put, we couldn’t have done it without her. On our (insanely rainy) wedding day, Brittney made sure everything went smoothly and worked tirelessly to rearrange our entire wedding because of the weather. She worked with all our vendors to make sure everything was taken care of. Despite working in our flooded and muddy backyard for hours, she never lost her smile and we are SO incredibly grateful for her positive attitude. Hire Brittney as your wedding planner, it’s a must!!!

ng for myself and the client was right on par with what you'd expect from a wedding pro. Great experience from one wedding pro to another!

was so professional and always quick to respond to my crazy questions. She has so much knowledge about weddings, events, timelines and great vendor suggestions. By investing in a coordinator I actually ended up saving money because she had many tips and tricks. It’s as if I didn’t have to pay for her services, because of her recommendations on rentals and entertainment that saved me money. The day of she sent me a text that morning that had a smile on my face the entire day. She knew just how to ease my mind and I hadn’t even seen her yet. She helped run the miscellaneous wedding errands the morning of and then surprised me mid afternoon at my hotel suite. My bridesmaids loved her just as much as I did. My venue looked beautiful and she set up my accent tables perfectly. When our timeline was running behind she handled it with such ease and said she considers the bumps in a road when making a timeline so little did I know we were actually perfectly ok with time. She communicated to the venue about pushing dinner service back by 15 minutes and took care of it all without hesitation. It gave us more time to ease into grand entrance vs being rushed once we arrived at the venue. At the end of the night she packed up my stuff just as I had brought it to her the day before. I could never thank her enough and I’m so happy social media connected us! Thank you Great Lakes Event Planning we love you!!!!

ything to life that my best friend dreamt of brought me to tears. It was like we had all been friends for years and she went so far beyond her job to ensure the venue was stunning, timelines were flawless and my best friend had everything she needed. Also, as the emotional best friend, Brittney was there for support as I sobbed the entire day. I can’t wait to get married so I can have her help me plan my day. If you want your day perfect and just like you imagined since you were a child, involve Brittney.

the over the top bride with 14 bridesmaids, 14 groomsmen, 6 children plus some a huge entourage. My party was BIG with the horse and carriage and all things a little girl dreams of. Brittany made sure everything flowed so beautifully on the day of including managing two receptions at two different locations. Her spirit is amazing! Very organized and prompt! Her emergency kit came in handy in our bridal suite! She made my day exactly what I dreamed it would be! She is a must have when planning your wedding / event!!! She was a planner for a season of my life but a friend forever! That’s how she makes you feel before , during , and after ! Thank you again Great Lakes!!!

bsolute best decision I ever made during my entire planning process was hiring Brittney to help coordinate our wedding. This woman does more than just coordinate your day. She STRIVES to make your day the absolute best day you could have ever imagined. She has a true love and passion for this business, and enjoys taking stress away from her brides and letting them relax and actually enjoy their day. I honestly can't thank her enough for everything she did for us. She brought along an amazing assistant to help out with everything, and her and Karlee together were seriously AMAZING. Thank you both for helping make our day the absolute best, and Brittney, thank you for being a gem of a person. You will forever be a part of the biggest step in our lives. <3 P.S. - I miss our planning lunch/dinner dates!

s and questions no matter the time of day. My wedding was a dream come true all thanks to her. Not only is she incredibly professional, helpful, and hard working, but she's so fun to work with and be around. If i'm being honest, it was like having another bridesmaid/friend helping you plan your wedding. She deserves way more than 5 stars. Two of my bridesmaids have already decided they are going to Brittney for their weddings!

give their to-do list or tasks list to a family member or friend... why make your guests worry about getting things done at your wedding, instead your guests should be enjoying themselves! So give your to-do list to Brittney and she will have it done for you and will most definitely go above and beyond your expectations! Brittney was so organized and experienced with running a wedding, she helped with our rehearsal, ceremony, and reception! Also while we were in the planning stages, she was also a great help with her vendor connections.

uld highly recommend Brittney.

so friendly! We met in person a few times before the wedding and she was so organized and didn’t let me worry about a thing! I’m so happy that my sister in law found her for me! I highly recommend her. Thank you so much Brittney for making my wedding day perfect❤️❤️❤️

ncredibly knowledgeable. She helped us figure out details we had never even thought of and made sure everything went perfect on the day of. Can’t stress enough how worth it is to hire a DOC and that Brittney is the best that you can ask for.

a huge part of why our wedding day ran so smoothly. During our planning meetings before the wedding, she was super helpful and had great advice about vendors in the Detroit area, and the day-of timeline she helped us create for the wedding was perfect. Through the whole planning process, Brittney was so easy to communicate with and quick to respond — so important for stressed-out brides (like I was!). Then, the day of, she was an angel — she got to our venue (our house/property in Dexter) early, helped SO much with setting up glasses/folding napkins/transporting flowers/giving checks to vendors/probably a million other things I didn’t even see because I was busy doing last-minute wedding prep. During the actual ceremony, she was the one who coordinated all the timing/entrances and kept everything running on track. She also brought us a beautiful backdrop for our sweetheart table at the reception and set it up for us — it looked amazing! — and a really cool dessert tray that we used to display some of our wedding desserts. Also, we had to take photos during our cocktail hour, and she tracked us down and brought my husband and me a little plate of food so we wouldn’t pass out from hunger/exhaustion! It was just so nice having her there during the day, knowing that if something came up, she would handle it, and she really goes the extra mile for her clients. Thank you so much, Brittney, for all you did to make our wedding perfect!
