Breech of his own contract. Stated pictures to be delivered 6-8 weeks. Still did not have them by week 13. He didn’t even communicate. I had to reach out to my vendor where my wedd...
ing was held. That put a spark under him: still didn’t deliver though just told me to stop bugging him and that they were coming except they weren’t. He had not even started them. Said one day they were uploading and would take X amount of hours. DAYS later still nothing. Horrible horrible professionalism and communication. Had he just been up front and said he was busy it would have been okay. This is one of the most important parts of booking a wedding— as I had NO pictures of my wedding day and this guy just toyed us with. He had another business he put first as I found on Facebook. We had him paid in FULL before the wedding day came. The stress and worry he caused our family I would never recommend him. Oh and to top it off he was supposed to deliver a wedding album 8 weeks after photos were delivered. Never got that. He said he would venmo me as he didn’t have time. Oh and he NEVER edited our photos!!!!! Are you kidding me. Never never book this guy. After all of this he said I harassed him. I guess you can say that as I paid for his services. My wedding was June 25, 2022. I finally got my ENEDITED photos 9/23/22. I got the album money 10/11/22😳 Save yourself the trouble he may come off as nice but at the end only a horrible person would do what he did to us. Take your money elsewhere you won’t regret it!!!
We booked him and his partner all day for the wedding, plus our engagement photos. He had a rapid turnaround time, and we loved the way they turned out! He is from Manhattan, Kansa...

There are no words to describe how wonderful our experience with Grant Watkins was. This has easily been the best experience with any photographer that we have ever had. Grant is s...
o professional, yet is an extremely personable individual. He spent his time making sure that we felt comfortable and at ease. After having chatted on the phone, we loved how easy it was to speak to him and how he listened to our needs and concerns. The pictures were flawless. They were clean and stunning images. Grant truly has a great eye to capture all the best emotions. As far as value goes, he is exceptionally affordable, offering many more services compared to his competitors for a much more reasonable price. I simply cannot recommend him enough. The pictures from both our engagement session and wedding captured all the perfect moments that we will treasure forever. We will continue to use him in the future.

I can’t say enough on how sweet and caring he was!
We never felt rushed or uncomfortable he took all the time we needed to get the pictures that we wanted!
He’s just overall a sweet and great guy!
Thank you so much!!

Grant was wonderful to work with. He is a true professional that delivered quality photos in a timely manner, and just a genuinely good guy. I would absolutely recommend him to any...
of my family and friends that are getting married, and would do so without hesitation. I have nothing but positive things to say about Grant. We did engagement photos with him in July 2020 and he stayed the extra 30 minutes on a cloudy evening so we could try and get that perfect sunset photo. As it turns out, it paid off because the sun peeked out at the last minute and we loved that he did not rush to get done. In the weeks leading up to our wedding we called with Grant to go over details and he helped us confirm that our timeline for photos was great and suggested anything he thought we needed. For wedding day, Grant and his second shooter showed up right on time at 9 am they got to work. The photos of getting dressed and doing my first look came out great. Our church formal pictures were exactly what we wanted. We were centered in all of the pictures and somehow he was able to capture pictures where everyone has their eyes open! Our bridal party pictures after the ceremony were PERFECT. Seriously, we had so many friends and family tell us that they loved the pictures Grant took of us. He did an excellent job directing us so that we had a variety of poses and captured so many of just us (which we really appreciated). We had great photos from the reception and Grant stayed well into the night to make sure he captured all of the big events. And as if a 12 hour day isn't enough, I made a last minute request while he was packing up to get a picture before we left for our honeymoon the next day so we could post it online and HE DELIVERED. I knew after seeing that photo that we were going to love our full album. Grant let us know a few weeks after that it would be 2-3 more weeks and an estimated number of photos, which I appreciated. No one wants to wait for wedding photos but I appreciated the communication, and it was super worth the wait. He sent us the link to our gallery and we were on cloud nine! So many of our closest family and friends reached out about how great they turned out and I am so happy that these are the photos that we get to look back on for the next 50+ years.

azingly helpful! PLUS his personality makes everything so much easier because you don't feel awkward! I loved that we were able to get engagement photos, wedding photos, a wedding video AND Order any prints we want all in one place and with one person!

ing out in all of your ceremony shots: keep that in mind) his second shooter tried to constantly insert herself into the bridesmaids conversation while getting ready, she bothered the flower girls & wouldn't leave my mother alone until they went outside to talk. THEN Grant came up to complain about us being 30 mins late with hair and makeup (the groomsmen are ready? Take pics of them?) & boss around the bridesmaids (didn't even get a first look with them so his "direction" didn't matter).
it took 8 weeks (the max in his contract) to see a single picture from him....he lied to me and my husband at our wedding telling us it wouldn't "take near as long as what was written on our contract." Not to mention there isn't a single shot of the "you may now kiss the bride" kiss.
--During our wait he posted a "sneak peak" of a wedding on May 2nd. The wedding took place May 1st!!!
We booked film through him also that had to be "outsourced" and have yet to get the video we paid him for. And he hasn't replied to my last emails.
I was disappointed in Grant and his second shooter at our wedding. Out of all the vendors we booked for our big day....the decision to book him is by far our biggest mistake.
Grant did both our engagement and wedding photos. We were pleased with everything! He was very flexible, so easy to get along with, and had such patience!! We recommend him to ever...

Grant took both our engagement and wedding photos, and I am in awe of each and every picture he has sent to us. He also was a huge help in the wedding planning process since he's been in the biz for so long.
Absolutely recommend Grant if you're looking for incredible photos at an awesome price from a guy that will crack dad jokes and keep the energy high the entire time.

live in the same city and was very flexible with trying to make it work with everyone's schedule. He has great vision and did an amazing job getting to know us during the engagement session, so he could get even better wedding photos. g face to face was not an option. Our first face time call was a success. We were able to build a relationship that made us feel comfortable having him photograph us for the first time on our wedding day. He was quick, fun, and very easy to work with. The photos did take a little longer than we expected to receive, but overall we are very happy with our photos and are glad we went with Grant for our big day!

got so many comments about how our photographer never stopped snapping pictures all night, and we got SO many wonderful photos. Grant was very thoughtful with his photos and made sure to capture all of the little details. He helped make our day go smoothly, and even when we started to get nervous on time, he stayed calm and collected and got all the photos we wanted with plenty of time. We can't recommend Grant enough!

and then obviously the full wedding day photos. Grant is very friendly and easy to work with. We knew at the engagement session that he would be perfect for our wedding day photos. He makes taking pictures fun, quick, and easy. He is very thorough with the pictures and knows exactly how to pose all groups of people. Our photos came out excellent, and he is very skilled in capturing the perfect moments. Easily one of the best photo professionals we have ever worked with. Thanks so much Grant!

rrived till the send off, he did not stop taking pictures. He captured so many moments; the bride and grooms love, to family members talking, to friends dancing on the dance floor, and everything in between.
Leading up to the wedding, he was really easy to work with and responded to emails quickly and answered all my million of questions. He is extremely experienced and such an amazing photographer!
From the first Skype meeting with Grant to the final delivery of pictures, I experienced nothing but fun, passionate, professionalism. Those adjectives might not seem like they go ...
together, but to describe Grant and his second shooter, Vivienne, they do. Grant made me feel at ease about choosing him to capture our big day through Skype. That should tell you how easy he was to talk to and trust that he would deliver a great product. We live 3 hours from Manhattan, but Grant and Vivienne were willing to do the drive so that we could have pictures at my husband’s farm. The day arrives for our engagement pictures and it’s a gloomy, cold and misty morning. Grant and Vivienne never wavered in their positive attitude and willingness to still get great pictures. They even trekked through cow pastures and climbed into hay lofts! Looking at the engagement pictures, you would never know it was a cold and dreary day. We love them so much! The wedding day came and having Grant and Vivienne there allowed me to relax and enjoy the day. They were able to corral the big family pictures and take fun wedding party shots. Our wedding party still talks about how much fun they had with Grant and Vivienne on our wedding day. Finally, Grant delivered our pictures so quick and they are fabulous! My husband and I have so much fun looking through the pictures and reminiscing. Thank you Grant and Vivienne for capturing our biggest life moments and having fun with us while doing it!

iendly, funny, and a very hard-working guy. I can't count how many times we heard from our family and friends how professional, easy-going, and accommodating Grant was at our wedding. He really takes the time from the first meeting to the last picture he takes at the wedding to get to know you and what you are wanting in wedding photos. We had a phone conference with him about a month out from our wedding and he made a set schedule for us to follow on the day of our wedding. It was so helpful and our family loved it! He was right on schedule and managed to get every picture we were wanting to get that day. We just got our wedding photos back yesterday and I have already looked through them 5+ times! We are so in love and they will last us a lifetime. Our family told us our best decision in the wedding planning process was booking Grant Watkins Photography. I couldn't agree more! We highly recommend him for any special occasion!
Grant has been absolutely amazing. From our very first over the phone meeting up until our wedding day, he has been there every step of the way. If you're looking for a reliable an...
d excellent photographer, Grant is your man. Our engagement pictures were so much fun with Grant getting us comfortable in front of a camera and we had them back to us in less than a week! He kept us at ease during the entire process and was extremely easy to work with. He had so many great ideas for pictures and we couldn't be happier. My husband and I just got married a couple of weeks ago so we haven't received our wedding pictures yet, but we did see a sneak peek of a couple and they looked gorgeous! We can not wait for the rest to be ready! I would recommend Grant to anyone looking for a top notch photographer!!

ced photographer with great coverage and a second shooter, and Grant was the perfect fit for all of those requirements! Grant was so easy to contact and coordinate with before, and made sure everything ran perfectly from our engagement pictures to the last moments at the reception. They even traveled a few hours away to our location for no extra charge, and fit perfectly into the plan of our day while being a total blast to have around. Not a minute was out of place, and Grant kept us calm and running smoothly all day. We have been so happy with every photo we received from him so far. We received our engagements pictures back in a few weeks, and we got a HUGE sneak-peak album just the day after the wedding! I can not say enough wonderful things about these two. If we had to do it all over, I would choose Grant to be our photographer again in a heartbeat!

so we were looking for a photographer that offered unlimited hours and included a 2nd photogether at a reasonable rate. Grant was the perfect fit! Him and Vivian did a fantastic job capturing every emotional, funny, and beautiful moment of our wedding day. Grant had our engagement photos back to us in less than 3 weeks and our wedding photos back to us in less than 6 weeks!! He took a TON of photos. I strongly recommend that if you are looking for a photographer in the KC area that is willing to do all day coverage and not charge an arm and a leg to reach out to Grant! You will not be disappointed!

ady! Throughout the planning process and shooting our engagement pictures Grant was extremely professional and personable; we had so much fun with Grant shooting the engagement pictures that we decided to book another session, and we loved all of the images. Throughout the planning and day of our wedding, Grant was checking on us to ensure that we were happy and easily rolled with the punches to make adjustments to our timeline and photo shot list if/when needed. People sometimes want/need to save money where they can on a wedding , and they often try to save money on a photographer. If you’re going to spend money somewhere, please use it on a great photographer like Grant. The price you’ll pay is so worth it to have amazing images that will last a lifetime, from a photographer who truly cares! Choosing Grant as our photographer was the best decision we made for our wedding!
Grant is awesome and easy to work with. Book him and you will have amazing photos to follow your wedding.

stick to one look or pose with any couple. When I decided to book with Grant I told him a few ideas I had for our wedding day and he was sure to capture them come July 29th. He is so easy going and open to any photos you'd like to take. By noon the day after our wedding I had a Facebook notification from Grant of one of our awesome photos that he had already posted. I can't wait to see the rest of our photos as I know they will be amazing! You won't be sorry if you book with Grant for your wedding! His second shooter is also super sweet and amazing as well :)

the wedding day. They were there early, stayed late and made sure to capture all the little moments that we didn't even realize where happening! I really cannot recommend Grant enough as a photographer! His work is beautiful and makes you feel amazing when you see yourself in his photos. He and his second photographer are really fun people to be around and a great addition to any wedding day!
I do not regret picking Grant for our wedding this past year. He is 100% professional (sometimes slow to respond to email, but always gets back to you), and overall I was REALLY ha...
ppy with the pictures we received. Grant's strengths are in candid images- he caught so many wonderful moments at the wedding in a way that I love- and also detail shots of the reception, dress, and accessories. What I think he could improve upon are the formal portraits; some were a little awkwardly posed, my dress had a long train and was different in almost every shot and looked really weird a lot of them (something I feel like they should notice and say something about) and in other group photos people are really inconsistently posed- I also admit to being a little Type A, so if you are too, just know to watch for those things yourself the day of (or maybe designate a friend to help keep an eye?) and you'd be just fine. Let me be clear- totally loved our pictures, and they were worth the wait. Many thanks to Grant Watkins for being a part of our big day!
Asking Grant to be our engagement/wedding photographer was one of the best decisions I made while planning our wedding! Let me tell you why:
1) He was EXTREMELY quick in respond...
ing to my emails. I typically heard from Grant within the same day!
2) The "ownership" of all the pictures was awesome. After our wedding, Grant sent us a USB drive with all of our pictures. We were also able to download them from online.
3) The sessions were super fun! My husband and I had a blast during out engagement and wedding shoots. We are kind of weird and Grant captured the many aspects of our personalities in his photos.
4) The turn-around time was pretty good. It always FEELS like forever to get photos back after a shoot because you are so anxious to see them but Grant got us our engagement photos back in less than three weeks and our wedding photos back right around a month and a half. It is also exciting to see his little "sneak peaks" within a couple of days after your shoot. He knows how to build up the hype. :)
5) Professional and accommodating. I was a pretty organized bride (some might say anal) with a near minute-by-minute itinerary. Grant took my timeline very seriously. He and his assistant did an awesome job keeping everyone on schedule and lining people up for the more formal shots. I may have deserved the jokes about my timeline BUT with Grant and Emily's help, the day flowed so nicely!
6) So flexible! I live about 2.5 hours away from Manhattan and by golly, that did not stop him from being in Fredonia, KS at 10am and out as late as 9:30pm to head home. He offered to stay for longer but the bouquet/garter toss, first dances, cake cutting etc., was all done by then, so I sent him home. He still probably got back close to midnight though!
7) My friends and family loved him. They would not stop ranting about his fun personality.
I am literally out of room on this review but I could go on! Pick Grant Watkins Photography! You won't regret it! :) <3

We had major issues with the photos we received. When we asked Grant for a refund, he told us the pictures were "good enough" and he welcomed all and any reviews. So after we reviewed him on facebook he blocked us. Seems welcoming. Don't be fooled by this fraud.

ut Grant put both of us at ease immediately and we had a wonderful time, together. I loved every moment. We had conversed via email and had a few phone conversations before our engagement session, and with this, I became very comfortable with Grant and was confident in my decision to make him my go-to photographer. After our engagement session experience, I couldn't WAIT for our wedding day. I knew my husband would be comfortable and have fun, along with me and my family. Grant was very professional, personable, dedicated, timely, prepared, outgoing, and fun, all at the same time. My mind was completely at ease with him behind the camera. My only wish-- I wish he lived closer to us!! No matter the distance, I definitely plan to use Grant Watkins for future sessions. I know what I'm getting... and that's the BEST of the BEST. Thank you, Grant Watkins. You have helped capture a very special couple of days in our lives... Here's to many more!

Grant Watkins Photography was absolutely such a great choice!! We couldn't have asked for better! Grant was fun and outgoing and really made us feel comfortable from the beginning....
He was also very professional and timely in everything he did. He got a lot of timeless, beautiful photos all day long (as well as awesome engagement pictures). Grant was all up in the mix of things at the wedding reception and got a lot of fun (and funny) pictures! His assistant did a fabulous job as well! The price we paid for the value of what we got was amazing! We definitely recommend Grant Watkins Photography!
